Sensor control device (302) comprising: - an electronics housing (304) comprising: - a shell (306) and a holder (308) which is attached to the shell (306) during factory assembly to define an interior of the electronics housing (304); - one or more flanges (12012, 12112) on an inner surface of the holder (308), the one or more flanges (12012, 12112) extending into the interior of the electronics housing (304); - an analyte sensor (11900) having a distal section extending from the electronics housing (304) configured to measure an analyte value and a proximal section within the interior of the electronics housing (304) containing a plurality of sensor contacts (11914); - a printed circuit board (502) located within the interior of the electronics housing (304) is ordered;and- a connecting element arrangement (12000, 12100) inside the electronic housing (304), comprising:-- a plurality of elements (12004, 12104) configured to provide conductive communication between the plurality of sensor contacts (11914) of the analyte sensor (11900) and the printed circuit board (502); and-- a connecting element (12002, 12102) having a first side opposite a second side, the first side comprising:--- a plurality of recesses (12008, 12108) configured to receive the plurality of elements (12004, 12104);--- a channel configured to receive a section of the proximal section of the analyte sensor (11900) including the plurality of sensor contacts (11914); and--- one or more recesses (12010, 12110), each designed to accommodate one or more corresponding flanges (12012, 12112).;
