Abstract
Description
Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of expandable tents, which have the advantage that they can be erected and dismantled more quickly than conventional tents. State of the art
[0002] Among expandable tents, "pop-up" tents are well-known, such as the one described in document EP1697604. These can be set up particularly quickly, but their folding mechanism can sometimes be complicated. Furthermore, this type of tent is relatively bulky when folded.
[0003] Inflatable tents are also known, which can be set up and taken down quite quickly, but have the disadvantage that either an energy source is needed to power the inflation device, or the poles have to be inflated with a manual inflation device, which can require a great deal of physical effort.
[0004] US2010 / 154282 and US 9598876 describe expandable tents whose frames are equipped with deformable poles. Description of the invention
[0005] One objective of the present invention is to provide an expandable tent that allows for quick and easy setup and takedown and is compact when folded.
[0006] The invention therefore relates to an expandable tent according to claim 1, comprising a frame and a tent tarpaulin that interacts with the frame, wherein the frame comprises at least a first stirrup comprising at least one first deformable elongated element having a first end section and a second end section opposite the first end section; a second deformable elongated element having a first end section and a second end section opposite the first end section; wherein the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first frame interact with the tent canvas and the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first frame are arranged end to end, wherein the frame has a folded position and an extended position, wherein the distance between the second end sections of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first stirrup in the extended position is less than the sum of the lengths of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first stirrup, causing the bending deformation of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first stirrup to increase and then decrease during the transition from the extended position to the folded position.
[0007] This arrangement ensures that the first stirrup, and even more so the frame in its extended state, has a stable equilibrium position, meaning that if force is applied to the first stirrup to slightly deform or move it while the frame is initially in the extended position, the frame will return to the extended position once the force is removed from the first stirrup.
[0008] To move the scaffold from the extended position to the folded position, the user must exert a force on the scaffold sufficient to deform the first bracket by bending it into an intermediate position of unstable equilibrium, and then overcome this intermediate position, after which the deformation of the first bracket decreases to reach a different position from the one it was in when the scaffold was in the extended position.
[0009] The arrangement of the expandable tent according to the invention is such that the bending deformation of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first frame initially increases and then decreases during the transition from the expanded to the folded position.
[0010] It is therefore understood that when the scaffold is in the extended position, it tends to remain so unless the user applies sufficient force to deform the first bracket and bring the scaffold into a folded position.
[0011] In the folded position, the first and second elongated elements can be positioned next to each other and essentially parallel to each other, so that the length of the first bracket in the folded position is on the order of the length of the larger of the first and second elongated elements.
[0012] In the context of the present invention, the term "end-to-end arranged" means that the first end sections of the first and second elongated elements are arranged close to each other and directly or indirectly touch each other. For example, the first end sections of the first and second elongated elements may be connected to each other by a connecting element or may be in direct contact with each other.
[0013] Preferably, the distance in the spread-out position between the second ends of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first stirrup is considered, wherein the second ends are opposite the first end sections of the first and the second deformable elongated element.
[0014] Preferably, the first and second elongated elements have essentially the same length.
[0015] According to the invention, the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first bracket exert pressure on each other in the extended position. The first and second deformable elongated elements are therefore under tension, which gives the first bracket stiffness.
[0016] According to the invention, the first end sections of the first and second elongated elements exert pressure against each other when the frame is in the extended position.
[0017] Advantageously, the first and second deformable elongated elements are held together, such that the kinematic connection between the first and second deformable elongated elements in the folded position is preferably of the ball-and-socket type. This ball-and-socket type joint facilitates folding the frame and allows the tent to be folded into a very compact volume.
[0018] According to the invention, the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first bracket are bent in the extended position.
[0019] Preferably, at least one of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first frame has a concavity in the extended position that faces the outside of the tent. In other words, the underside of at least one of the first and second deformable elongated elements faces the outside of the tent.
[0020] Preferably, the first and second deformable elongated elements each have a concavity in the extended position, which is directed towards the outside of the tent.
[0021] To ensure the connection between the first and the second deformable elongated element, the expandable tent according to the invention further comprises at least one connecting device for receiving the first end sections of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first frame.
[0022] The connecting device preferably has a dual function, namely, on the one hand, holding the first deformable elongated element in relation to the second deformable elongated element and, on the other hand, transmitting forces between the first and the second deformable elongated element.
[0023] The connecting device may include an attached textile part and / or a connecting sleeve.
[0024] Preferably, the connecting device is attached to the tent tarpaulin.
[0025] According to a preferred embodiment, the connecting device has at least one sleeve which is attached to the tent canvas and which receives the first end sections of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first bracket.
[0026] Preferably, the sleeve is sewn to the inside of the tent fabric. The sleeve preferably has two mutually inclined recesses, each recess being attached to the tent fabric and receiving an end section of an elongated element that is deformable by the first and second recesses.
[0027] Advantageously, the connecting device is arranged to allow a joint between the first end sections of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first bracket.
[0028] Preferably, the connecting device has a flexible sleeve that engages with the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated element of the first bracket.
[0029] Preferably, the flexible sleeve is engaged with the aforementioned sleeve.
[0030] Advantageously, the tent tarpaulin has a first recess, e.g. in the form of a pocket, into which the second end section of the first deformable elongated element engages when the tent is erected.
[0031] According to the invention, the tent tarpaulin has at least one taut area when the frame is spread out, wherein a taut area interacts at least with the first end sections of the first and the second deformable elongated element of the first frame.
[0032] The tensioned area helps to keep the first stirrup in the upright position.
[0033] Preferably, the tent fabric has a lower section that is connected to the ground, and the taut area extends between the lower section of the tent fabric and the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first frame. A "taut area" means that the tent fabric is taut in certain sections.
[0034] Preferably, the tensioned area is a tension line, i.e., the tensioned area extends essentially in a straight line.
[0035] Preferably, the tent tarpaulin has several taut areas extending from or between the first end sections of the deformable elongated elements, which facilitates holding the frame in the extended position.
[0036] According to a preferred embodiment, each of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first bracket has a rod. The rod can be made of fiberglass, aluminum, plastic, or wood.
[0037] According to a preferred embodiment, the first and the second deformable elongated element have essentially the same length.
[0038] One interest lies in the fact that the expandable tent, when folded, has a generally cylindrical shape, the length of which essentially corresponds to the length of the deformable elongated elements.
[0039] According to the invention, the first frame further comprises a third and a fourth deformable elongated element arranged end to end, wherein the second and the third deformable elongated element of the first frame are arranged end to end and cooperate with the tent canvas to define a first main peak of the tent canvas.
[0040] Advantageously, the first and second elongated elements, arranged end to end, define a first secondary peak of the tent fabric, while the third and fourth elongated elements, arranged end to end, define a second secondary peak of the tent fabric, and the tent according to the invention further comprises at least one reinforcing element attached to the tent fabric, wherein the reinforcing element has a first section connected to the first main peak, a second section connected to the first secondary field, and a third section connected to the second secondary peak.
[0041] The reinforcement element ensures that the distance between the first and second secondary peaks is maintained in the deployed state, thus reducing the risk of the tent collapsing under its own weight when deployed.
[0042] Preferably, the first, second, and third sections form a single part. Advantageously, the reinforcing element consists of a triangular plate, with the second section forming one side of the triangular plate. This plate is, for example, a textile plate. More preferably, the other sides of the plate are attached to the tent fabric, e.g., by sewing.
[0043] Advantageously, the tent tarpaulin has a second taut area extending between the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements and a second lower section of the tent tarpaulin, the latter preferably being fastened to the ground by a second fastening device, such as a tent peg.
[0044] Preferably, the tent further comprises a holding device for receiving the second end sections of the second and third deformable elongated elements. This holding device is preferably attached to the tent fabric, e.g., a sleeve that is sewn onto the tent fabric.
[0045] According to a preferred arrangement, the first and second deformable elongated elements on the one hand and the third and fourth deformable elongated elements on the other hand are arranged on both sides of a vertical plane passing through the first main peak.
[0046] According to a preferred embodiment, the frame further comprises a second bracket, which includes at least the following: a first deformable elongated element having a first end section and a second end section opposite the first end section; a second deformable elongated element having a first end section and a second end section opposite the first end section; wherein the first and second deformable elongated elements of the second frame interact with the tent canvas and the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the second frame are arranged end to end, wherein the distance between the second end sections of the first and second deformable elongated element of the second stirrup in the spread position is less than the sum of the lengths of the first and second deformable elongated element of the second stirrup, causing the bending deformation of the first and second deformable elongated element of the second stirrup to increase and then decrease during the transition from the spread position to the folded position.
[0047] The second bracket is therefore similar to the second bracket.
[0048] The tent fabric preferably has a third and fourth tensioned area, similar to the first and second tensioned areas. The third tensioned area extends between the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the second frame and a third lower section of the tent fabric, which is connected to the ground via a third fastening element.
[0049] The fourth tensioned area extends between the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated element of the second bow and a fourth lower section of the tent canvas, which is connected to the ground via a fourth fastening element.
[0050] Furthermore, the tent tarpaulin has a fifth tensioned area, which extends between the first end sections of the first and second elongated elements of the first bow on the one hand and the first end sections of the first and second elongated elements of the second bow on the other.
[0051] Furthermore, the tent tarpaulin has a sixth taut area, which extends between the first end sections of the third and fourth elongated elements of the first bow on the one hand and the first end sections of the third and fourth elongated elements of the second bow on the other.
[0052] Advantageously, the first and second brackets are positioned so that the first, fifth, and third tensioned sections merge seamlessly. The second, sixth, and fourth tensioned sections also connect seamlessly.
[0053] This configuration makes it possible to improve the hold of the first and second bars in the extended position.
[0054] Preferably, the frame has no pole between the first and second hoops. One advantage is to simplify the frame's structure. This also makes the structure lighter and facilitates assembly and disassembly. Therefore, the first and second hoops are preferably connected and held together by the tent fabric rather than the frame itself.
[0055] Advantageously, the tent has a first connecting element attached to the tent fabric near the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first frame, and at least one ground fastening element attached to the first connecting element.
[0056] Preferably, the tent further comprises a second connecting element which is attached to the tent canvas near the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the second pole, and the second ground fastening element is connected to the ground fastening device.
[0057] Preferably, the first and second connecting elements form a single part and consist, for example, of a cord.
[0058] Advantageously, the first and second deformable elongated elements are essentially parallel in the folded position, and the length of the deployable tent in the folded position is essentially the same as the length of one of the first and second deformable elongated elements.
[0059] Preferably, the tent also has an inner chamber that is connected to the frame and / or to the tent canvas.
[0060] Preferably, the tent tarpaulin has at least one opening that forms a door for access to the interior of the tent, wherein the opening is formed in a section of the tent tarpaulin that opens between the first and the fourth deformable elongated element. Brief description of the drawings

Detailed description of an embodiment
[0062] In Fig. Figure 1 shows a perspective illustration of an embodiment of an expandable tent 10 according to the present invention. Fig. Figure 1 shows that the expandable tent 10 is in the expanded position.
[0063] The expandable tent 10 has a frame 12 which is in Fig. 3 is easier to see, as well as a tent tarpaulin 14, which works together with the frame 12.
[0064] In this embodiment, the frame 12 is arranged inside the tent fabric 14. However, without departing from the scope of the present invention, the tent fabric could also be arranged within the volume defined by the frame 12.
[0065] Accordingly, in this example, the frame 12 supports the tent fabric 14. The expandable tent 10 has a back wall 19, which in this example is part of the tent fabric. Without departing from the scope of the present invention, the bottom wall can also belong to an optional inner chamber that is distinct from the tent fabric.
[0066] The frame 12 has a first stirrup 16 and a second stirrup 18, which is similar to the first stirrup 16. The second stirrup 18 is arranged at a distance from the first stirrup 16. As in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 3, the first and second brackets 16, 18 extend in the extended position essentially in two essentially vertical planes.
[0067] With reference to Fig. 2. The first bracket 16 will now be described in more detail.
[0068] According to the invention, the first bracket 16 comprises a first deformable elongated element 20, which has a first end section 20a and a second end section 20b, which is opposite the first end section 20a.
[0069] The first bracket 16 further comprises a second deformable elongated element 22, which has a first end section 22a and a second end section 22b opposite the first end section.
[0070] In this example, the first bracket 16 further comprises a third deformable elongated element 24, which has a first end section 24a and a second end section 24b opposite the first end section 24a.
[0071] The first bracket 16 further comprises a fourth deformable elongated element 26, which has a first end section 26a and a second end section 26b.
[0072] As in Fig. 1 and Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2, the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first bracket 16 interact with the tent fabric 14. Likewise, the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 of the first bracket 16 interact with the tent fabric 14.
[0073] In this example, the first, second, third and fourth deformable elongated elements 20, 22, 24, 26 have rods made of fiberglass, aluminum or wood.
[0074] It can be seen that the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first frame 16 are arranged end to end and define a first secondary peak 25 of the tent fabric when the frame is in the extended position. Likewise, the first end sections 24a, 26a of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 of the first frame are arranged end to end and define a second secondary peak 27 of the tent fabric when the frame is in the extended position.
[0075] In the extended position, the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first bracket 16 are arranged to exert pressure against each other. For this purpose, in this example, the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second elongated elements 20, 22 are arranged end to end and are connected to each other by a connecting device 30, which receives the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements of the first bracket.
[0076] In this example, the connecting device 30 has a sleeve 32 which is attached to the tent fabric by sewing. This sleeve thus receives the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second elongated elements.
[0077] It can also be seen that the connecting device 30 is arranged to allow a joint between the first end sections 20a, 22b of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20, 22 of the first bracket 16. As explained below, this joint particularly facilitates the unfolding and folding of the tent.
[0078] In the illustrated embodiment, the connecting device further comprises a flexible sleeve 34, in this example made of plastic, which has two receiving sections 34a, 34b for receiving the end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22. This flexible sleeve 34 is deformable to form a flexible joint, preferably of the ball joint type, between the first and the second deformable elongated elements 20, 22. The flexible sleeve 34 also allows the first and the second deformable elongated elements of the first bracket 16 to exert pressure against each other when the frame is in the extended position.
[0079] As in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2, the second and third deformable elongated elements 22, 24 of the first frame 16 are arranged end to end and interact with the tent fabric 14 to define a main peak 15 of the tent fabric 14 of the expandable tent 10. More precisely, the second end sections 22b, 24b of the second and third deformable elongated elements 22, 24 are arranged end to end and are held together by a further connecting device 30, similar to the one that connects the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22. Likewise, the first end sections 24a, 26a of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 are arranged end to end and are held together by a connecting device 30.
[0080] Furthermore, the second end section 20b of the first deformable elongated element 20 and the second end section 26b of the fourth deformable elongated element 26 are engaged in pockets 40 which are attached to the tent tarpaulin 14.
[0081] As in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2, the expandable tent 10 has optional loops 42 to improve the hold of the tent canvas 14 on the first bracket 16, which are attached to the tent canvas 14 and cooperate with each of the first, second, third and fourth deformable elongated elements 20, 22, 24, 26.
[0082] With reference to Fig. 2 can be seen that the distance D1 between the second end sections 20b, 22b, of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20, 22 of the first stirrup 16 in the spread position is smaller than the sum of the lengths L1, L2 of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20b, 22b of the first stirrup 16.
[0083] In this example, the distance D1 is taken between the end of the first deformable elongated element 20, which is opposite the second end section 20b of the first deformable elongated element 20, and the end of the second deformable elongated element 22, which is opposite the first end section 22a of the second deformable elongated element 22.
[0084] In this example, the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first stirrup 16 are flexibly deformed in the extended position. They are therefore under tension due to their bending deformation.
[0085] The same applies to the third and fourth deformable elongated element 24, 26.
[0086] In this example, the distance D2 between the second end sections 24b, 26b of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 of the first stirrup 16 in the extended position of the frame is smaller than the sum of the lengths L3, L4 of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26. The third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 are flexibly deformed in the extended position, with their concavity directed towards the outside of the extendable tent.
[0087] In this example, the second bracket 18 also includes a first deformable elongated element 20' which has a first end section 20'a and a second end section 20'b opposite the first end section 20'a.
[0088] The second bracket 18 further comprises a second deformable elongated element 22' which has a first end section 22'a and a second end section 22'b opposite the first end section.
[0089] The first and second deformable elongated elements 20', 22' of the second bracket 18 interact with the tent tarpaulin 14.
[0090] The first end sections 20'a, 22'a, of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20', 22' of the second frame 18 are arranged end to end and define a third secondary peak 25' of the tent when the frame is in the extended position.
[0091] As with the first bracket 16, the distance between the second end sections 20'b, 22'b of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20', 22' of the second bracket 18 in the spread position is less than the sum of the lengths L'1, L'2 of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20', 22' of the second bracket 18.
[0092] As in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 3, the second bracket 18 also has a third and a fourth deformable elongated element, similar to the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 of the first bracket 16. The third and fourth elongated elements are arranged end to end and define a fourth secondary peak 27' of the tent when the frame is in the extended position. In this example, the first, second, third, and fourth deformable elongated elements of the second bracket are also under tension in the extended position due to their bending deformation.
[0093] The second end sections of the second and third deformable elongated element 22', 24' in turn define a second main peak 15' of the tent fabric of the expandable tent 10.
[0094] The expandable tent 10 also has connecting devices for receiving the first end sections of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20', 22' of the second frame 18. These connecting devices, by which the second frame 18 is connected to the tent fabric 14, are identical in this example to those by which the first frame 16 is connected to the tent fabric 14, so they will not be described further.
[0095] How based Fig. As can be seen in Figure 3, the first and second stirrups 16, 18 are two separate elements. In particular, the frame 12 does not have any connecting elements that join the first and second stirrups 16, 18 together. In particular, the frame does not have a rod that joins the first and second stirrups 16, 18 together.
[0096] With reference to Fig. Figure 1 shows that the tent tarpaulin has several taut areas when spread out.
[0097] The tent tarpaulin 14 has a first tensioned area Z1, which interacts with the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first frame 16. This first tensioned area Z1 forms a tension line extending between a lower section 50 of the tent tarpaulin 14 and the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first frame 16. In this example, this first lower section 50 is attached to the ground by means of a fastening element 52, in this case a tent peg, which is connected to the lower section 50 via a loop 54.
[0098] The tent tarpaulin further has a second taut area Z2, which extends between a second lower section 56 of the tent tarpaulin, which is connected to the ground, and the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated element of the first bracket 16.
[0099] The tent tarpaulin also has a third and a fourth tension line Z3, Z4, similar to the first and second tension lines Z1, Z2, which extend between the first end sections of the first, second, third and fourth deformable elongated element of the second frame 18 and the third and fourth lower section 58, 60 of the tent tarpaulin, which are also connected to the ground.
[0100] The first, second, third and fourth lower sections of the tent tarpaulin 14 are located at the four corners of the lower perimeter of the tent tarpaulin.
[0101] As in Fig. As can be seen in Figure 1, the tent fabric further has a fifth taut area, which forms a tension line Z5 extending between the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first hoop 16 and the first end sections 20'a, 22'a of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20', 22' of the second hoop 18. In other words, the fifth tension line extends between the first and third secondary peaks 25, 25'.
[0102] Symmetrically, the tent fabric also has a sixth taut area, forming a tension line Z6 that extends between the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements 24, 26 of the first frame and the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated elements of the second frame 18. In other words, the sixth tension line runs between the second and fourth secondary peaks 27, 27'.
[0103] As in Fig. As illustrated in Figure 1, the tensioned areas Z1, Z5, and Z3 are arranged continuously between the first lower section 50 and the third lower section 58 of the tent fabric. Similarly, the tensioned areas Z2, Z6, and Z4 are arranged continuously between the second lower section 56 and the fourth lower section 58 of the tent fabric. This configuration improves the stability of the first, second, third, and fourth secondary peaks 25, 27, 25', and 27'.
[0104] Again, with reference to Fig. Figure 1 shows that the expandable tent 10 further comprises a first connecting element 70, which is attached to the tent fabric 14 near the first end sections 20a, 22a of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20, 22 of the first frame 16. In this example, the first connecting element consists of a cord. A fastening device 72, in this case a tent peg, is also provided, which is connected to the first connecting element 70 in order to tension the connecting element 70.
[0105] The expandable tent 10 further comprises a second connecting element 74, which is connected to the tent canvas 14 near the first end sections 20'a, 22'a of the first and the second deformable elongated element 20', 22' of the second bracket 18.
[0106] In this example, the second connecting element also consists of a cord.
[0107] The second connecting element is connected to the fastening element 72 in order to put the second connecting element under tension.
[0108] In this example, the first and second connecting elements 70,74 form a single part and consist of a cord.
[0109] In this example, the expandable tent 10 has a third and a fourth connecting element (not illustrated here) that are identical to the first and second connecting elements and that are connected near the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated element of the first frame on the one hand and near the first end sections of the third and fourth deformable elongated element of the second frame on the other.
[0110] In this example, the first, second, third and fourth deformable elongated elements of the first and second stirrups 16, 18 consist of rods that are essentially the same length.
[0111] In Fig. Figure 4 illustrates the expandable tent 10 in its folded state. As can be seen, the first, second, third, and fourth deformable elongated elements of the first and second frames are arranged essentially parallel and side by side, while being enclosed by the tent fabric 14, such that the length of the expandable tent in the folded position is essentially equal to or slightly greater than the length of the deformable elongated elements. Consequently, when folded, the tent 10 has a very compact configuration and is easy to transport.
[0112] Based on Fig. Sections 5 to 10 now describe the unfolding of the previously described expandable tent 10.
[0113] In Fig. Figure 5 illustrates the shape of the expandable tent after the tent fabric 14 has been unfolded so that the rear wall 19 lies flat on the ground S. In this initial configuration, it is understood that the frame is folded, with the supports 16, 18 lying on the ground.
[0114] In this exemplary embodiment, the first, second, third, and fourth lower sections 50, 56, 58, 60 of the tent tarpaulin are first attached to the ground. The tent tarpaulin is thus attached to the ground so that its lower section has a substantially rectangular shape.
[0115] The user then expands the scaffold by pulling the first end sections of the deformable elongated elements towards them. In this example, which is in Fig. 6 and Fig. As illustrated in Figure 7, the user exerts a pull on the first and second connecting elements 70, 74. This pulling motion causes the deformable elongated elements to be deformed by bending, so that their concavity faces the outside of the tent, as illustrated.
[0116] During the pulling motion exerted by the user, the first and second deformable elongated elements in this example transition from an undeformed state, i.e., they are essentially straight, to a bending-deformed state, which in Fig. 8 and Fig. Figure 9 illustrates how their concavity is directed towards the outside of the tent.
[0117] How based Fig. As can be seen in Figure 9, during the transition from the undeformed state (frame folded) to the deformed state (frame unfolded), the first and second elongated elements are bent, so that their bending deformation increases until the first end sections of the first and second elongated elements cross the second geometric line of the first and second elongated elements, a geometric straight line X that connects the second end sections of the first and second elongated elements. Thereupon, their bending deformation decreases until the first end sections reach an unfolded end position in which they are held by the tent fabric. It is thus understood that the bending deformation of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first frame 16 initially increases and then decreases during the transition from the folded to the unfolded position.
[0118] Similarly, the bending deformation of the first and second deformable elongated elements 20, 22 of the first bracket 18 increases and then decreases during the transition from the extended position to the folded position. This means that the first and second deformable elongated elements cannot return to their original state in the extended position, as this requires further bending deformation of the first and second deformable elongated elements so that they can cross the aforementioned geometric line X, which requires user intervention.
[0119] It is therefore understood that the frame, in its extended position, is held by the tent canvas 14, which keeps the elongated elements under tension, thus giving the arches rigidity. At the same time, the tension lines help to keep the brackets in position more securely. The frame also maintains a stable position, consequently the extendable tent, in its extended position, also maintains a stable position.
[0120] As explained above, the frame allows for easy unfolding and is compact when folded.
[0121] In Fig. Figure 11 illustrates a variant in which the expandable tent also has a reinforcement element 80.
[0122] The reinforcing element 80 has a first section 82 connected to the first main peak 15, a second section 84 connected to the first secondary peak 25, and a third section 86 connected to the second secondary peak 27. In this example, the first, second, and third sections form a single element that creates a triangular plate. This plate is, for example, a soft textile plate.
[0123] The triangular plate has two sides 80a, 80b, which are attached to the tent canvas, for example by sewing, and a third side 80c, which can be curved or straight.
[0124] How based Fig. As can be seen in Figure 11, the plate extends in an essentially vertical plane.
[0125] The tent can have several reinforcing elements of the same type. The reinforcing element ensures that the distance between the first and second secondary peaks is maintained when the tent is deployed, thus reducing the risk of the tent collapsing under its own weight when unfolded.
