Description

The invention is based on a high-current plug connector system according to the preamble of independent claim 1.Such high-current plug connector systems can be used, for example, to transmit electrical energy. In particular, a total electric current with high total current strengths of at least up to 16 A ("amperes"), e.g. at least up to 20 A, preferably at least up to 35 A, particularly preferably at least up to 70 A, in particular at least up to 125 A, for example at least up to 300 A and in particular even at least 900 A, is transmitted via the high-current plug connector system.Prior ArtIn the prior art, plug connector systems consisting of a plug connector and a mating plug connector are known. The plug connector can be plugged with the mating plug connectors and can be disconnected again from the mating plug connector under a separating force. The separating force usually results more randomly from frictional forces such as, for example, the sum of the plug-in and drawing forces of the electrical utility contacts, the friction of a seal of the plug connector housings, etc.In practical use, requirements have arisen which require that certain plug connector systems should have a defined separating force depending on their function. In particular, high-current plug-in connector systems which are provided for transmitting particularly high current intensities should have a separating force for safety reasons which is likewise particularly high.It is disadvantageous in the prior art that the strength of the separating force cannot be easily adjusted in existing high-current plug connector systems.Object Setting Up To AchieveThe object of the invention is to specify a high-current plug connector system and a method by means of which it is possible to set the separating force of the high-current plug connector system, in particular individually, to a predefined value using the simplest possible means. Preferably, the simplest possible retrofitting of existing high-current plug connector systems is to be made possible. Particularly preferably, only as few new components as possible are to be added or changed in comparison with already existing high-current plug-in connector systems. In particular, the so-called "modularity" of the high-current plug connector system should be maintained as far as possible, i.e. its components should already exist on the market to the greatest possible extent and be usable with as many further commercially available components as possible, i.e. at least pluggable and preferably also mountable together to form a plug connector / high-current plug connector system. The object is achieved by the subject matter of independent claim 1.A high current connector system has a connector and a mating connector. The plug connector and the mating plug connector can be plugged together and separated from one another under a separating force. The plug connector has a plurality of high-current plug contacts of the same type as one another. The mating plug connector has a plurality of high-current mating plug contacts which can be plugged into the high-current plug contacts. In the plugged state, each of the high-current plug-in contacts is connected to a respective one of the high-current mating plug-in contacts in a mechanically and electrically conductive manner for the transmission of electrical energy to a respective high-current plug-in contact pair.In addition, the plug connector has at least one further plug contact and the mating plug connector has at least one further mating plug contact. The at least one further plug contact and the at least one further mating plug contact can be plugged together and are connected to one another in a mechanically separable manner in the plugged state and are configured together in this case for generating a predefined amount of said separating force.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims and the following description. One advantage of the invention is that retrofitting existing high-current plug connector systems is thereby particularly uncomplicated. Finally, compared to already existing high-current plug connector systems, only one or possibly also a plurality of high-current plug contact pairs have to be replaced by the said further plug contact(s) and mating plug contact(s).It is particularly advantageous that the so-called "modularity" of the high-current plug connector system is maintained as far as possible, i.e. all its components can already exist on the market beforehand and can also be used with other commercially available components, that is to say can be plugged not only with commercially available plug connectors but can preferably also be mounted together with other commercially available components to form another plug connector system / high-current plug connector system. The above-mentioned solution thus differs greatly in this point from other conceivable, also in this respect poorer, solution solutions in which, for example, one or more plug connector housings, a locking system or other components would have to be modified in order to modify the separating force. An advantage of the invention is that individual adjustment of the separating force of a high-current plug connector system to a predetermined value is made possible using very uncomplicated means. Finally, only at least one of the high-current plug contacts of a commercially available high-current plug connector system needs to be replaced by a further plug contact and one of the high-current mating contacts of the commercially available high-current plug connector system needs to be replaced by a further mating plug contact. The replacement of a plug contact is finally a customary action which is frequently carried out by the end customer and therefore only produces an extremely low outlay. In an advantageous embodiment, in order to generate a specific separating force, the further plug contact and the further mating plug contact can already be appropriately designed at the factory, such that the separating force corresponds, for example, to the load capacity of the high-current plug connection system. This has the advantage that the adaptation can already be carried out at the factory and the high-current plug connector system can be delivered to the end user with this adaptation in a pre-set manner. In a further advantageous embodiment, the high-current plug connector system can additionally have a whole set of different further plug contacts and different further mating plug contacts, which generate different separating forces in conjunction with one another. From this set, one or more suitable further plug contacts and mating plug contacts can thus be selected and inserted into the plug connector and the mating plug connector in order to set the desired / predefined separating force, in particular in combination with one another. This has the advantage that the end user can set the separating force to its respective application, e.g. the range of the current intensity actually transmitted.A method for adjusting the separating force of a high-current plug connector system therefore provides that the adjustment of the predefined separating force is effected by the selection of one or more suitable plug contacts and one or more suitable mating plug contacts from the said set of different further plug contacts and different further mating plug contacts. In a preferred embodiment, the further plug contact and the further mating plug contact can be latched to one another in the plugged state in order to generate the separating force or at least a part thereof by the pull-out force which occurs during their de-latching. Alternatively or additionally, frictional forces may also play a role for this purpose. In a further preferred embodiment, each high-current plug-in contact pair in the plugged state can be designed for transmitting current intensities of at least 10 A ("amperes"), preferably at least 20 A, particularly preferably at least 40 A, in particular at least 60 A, for example at least 70 A and in particular even at least 80 A.The term "designed" means that the respective high-current plug-in contact pair can be permanently loaded with current intensities "up to" the respectively specified maximum value, that is to say with current intensities which correspond to the respectively specified maximum value or are less than the respectively specified maximum value. It is clear to the person skilled in the art that the high current capacity, in particular at a predetermined electrical voltage, is advantageous for the transmission of electrical energies that are as high as possible. In a further preferred embodiment, said separating force is at least 15 N ("Newton"), preferably at least 20 N, particularly preferably at least 25 N, in particular at least 60 N, for example at least 85 N and for example even 97 N and more, for example at least 100 N, and optionally even more than 110 N, i.e. for example 111 N.Predetermined separating forces can thus be, for example: 18 N; 22 N; 27 N; 67 N; 89 N; 111 N.While a plug connector manufacturer makes his details and assignments with respect to the maximum current capacity, the separating force can be adapted to the actually transmitted current intensity of the entire high-current plug connector system during a fixed installation of the end user. This total current strength results from the sum of the current strengths of the individual currents flowing via the individual high-current plug contact pairs. For example, for total current strengths of 15 A actually used, the predefined separating force may be 18 N.For example, for an actually used total current intensity of 16 A to 20 A, the predefined separating force may be 22 N.For example, for an actually used total current intensity of 21 A to 35 A, the predefined separating force may be 27 N.For example, for an actually used total current intensity of 36 A to 70 A, the predefined separating force may be 67 N.For example, for an actually used total current intensity of 71 A to 125 A, the predefined separating force may be 89 N.In a preferred embodiment, the plug connector has at least one contact carrier which is formed from an electrically insulating material. The contact carrier can be designed as a single piece as a component of a single-piece plug insert ("monoblock"). However, the plug connector can also have a plurality of plug connector modules which are installed in a plug connector module frame in order to thus form a modular plug insert. In the latter case, each plug connector module has a contact carrier, so that the plug connector then has a plurality of contact carriers. The plug connector has a contact chamber for each of said high-current plug contacts and also for each of said further plug contacts. The contact chambers are distributed in the contact carrier or between the plurality of contact carriers and arranged in the plurality of contact carriers.Furthermore, the mating plug connector has at least one mating contact carrier made of an electrically insulating material. The mating contact carrier can be configured in one piece as a component of a mating plug insert ("monoblock"). The mating connector can, however, also have a plurality of further mating connector modules which are installed in a mating connector modular frame in order to form a modular mating connector insert. In the latter case, each module has a mating contact carrier, so that the mating plug connector then has a plurality of mating contact carriers. The mating high-current plug connector has a mating contact chamber for each of said high-current mating contacts and also for each of said further mating contacts. These counter-contact chambers are distributed in the counter-contact carrier-or between the plurality of counter-contact carriers and arranged in the counter-contact carriers. In a preferred embodiment, the contact chambers of the plug connector are configured so as to be uniform with respect to one another. In a further advantageous embodiment, the mating contact chambers of the mating plug connector are configured so as to be uniform with respect to one another. This benefits said modularity in terms of compatibility with further possible product components, because the respective contact carrier / mating contact carrier can thus be equipped, in particular in all contact receptacles, selectively with both high-current contacts / high-current mating contacts and with further plug contacts / mating plug contacts. In a preferred embodiment, the at least one contact carrier has a cable connection side and a plug side opposite the cable connection side. The contact chambers are designed as through-openings which connect the cable connection side to the plug-in side.Furthermore, the at least one mating contact carrier can have a mating cable connection side and a mating plug side opposite the mating cable connection side. The mating contact chambers can likewise be designed as through-openings which connect the mating cable connection side to the mating plug-in side.In this context, it should be mentioned at this point that the terms "plug side" and "cable connection side" and "plug side" and "cable connection side" and "plug direction" always relate to the associated plug connector or mating plug connector. The plug-in direction in the sense of a vectorial direction denotes in the actual sense the plug-in axis which is identical for the plug-in connector and the mating plug-in connector. The orientation always relates to the direction of the plugging, i.e. to the respective other plug connector / mating plug connector. In the plugged state, the contact carrier and the mating contact carrier are directed with their plug side and mating plug side toward one another and with their respective cable connection sides away from one another. In a further preferred embodiment, said high-current plug-in contacts and said further plug-in contact(s) are each arranged in one of the contact chambers of the plug-in connector and held therein. Said high-current mating plug contact(s) and said further mating plug contact(s) are each arranged in one of the mating contact chambers of the mating plug connector and held therein. This has the advantage that the further plug contacts-although they differ from the high-current plug contacts-can be accommodated in uniform contact receptacles, which benefits said modularity. For example, a conventional contact carrier may be used. It is merely necessary to insert a further plug contact-or the desired number of further plug contacts-into its contact chamber, which were originally provided for receiving the high-current plug contacts. The same naturally applies analogously to the countercontact carrier and the further countercontacts. Both the high-current plug-in contacts and the high-current mating plug-in contacts can consist of one or more electrically conductive material / materials, in particular metal, that is to say optionally of one or more metals, and each have a cable connection-side cable connection region and a high-current plug-in-side plug-in region for mutually plugging-in mechanical and electrically conductive connection.Although the further plug contacts and / or the further mating plug contacts can likewise consist of one or more electrically conductive material(s), in particular metal(s), alternatively-depending on the shape and required elasticity-also of one or more electrically non-conductive material(s), for example of plastic and optionally of a plurality of different plastic(s).The further plug contacts and further mating plug contacts are preferably each embodied in one piece, in particular in one piece. However, multi-part, in particular multi-piece, designs are also conceivable. In a preferred embodiment, the further plug contacts and / or the further mating plug contacts have in each case a plug-side plug region for mutually mechanically plugging connection, but no cable connection-side cable connection region. This has the advantage that they can be produced less expensively. Furthermore, this has the advantage that they are designed to be particularly stable in relation to their size.In a preferred embodiment, the plug-in region of the further plug contacts can be designed as a contact pin and the plug-in region of the further mating plug contacts can be designed as a contact socket. In particular, the respective contact socket of the at least one further mating plug contact can have a plurality of slots, as a result of which lamellae pointing in the plug-in direction are formed in the plug-in region thereof. In a further preferred embodiment, the contact pin of the plug contact can have a circumferential groove. The encircling groove of the contact pin can furthermore have a retaining surface on the plug side. This holding surface can preferably be aligned substantially perpendicularly, i.e. in an angular relationship of between 80° and 120°, in particular in an angular relationship of between 85° and 95° or between 95° and 105° and ideally at a right angle of 90° or at an angle of 100° with respect to the plug-in direction in which the contact pin naturally points. These values have proven to be particularly suitable in experiments, but other angles may of course also be appropriate under other boundary conditions.Furthermore, the aforementioned lamellae of the mating plug contact pointing in the plug-in direction can have at their plug-in-side ends radially inwardly directed latching hooks, which engage in the circumferential groove of the plug contact in the plugged state. The latching hooks can each have a slide-on slope and a latching surface, wherein the latching surface is in an angular relationship of between 30° and 90°, preferably between 40° and 50° or between 55° and 65°, particularly preferably between 42.5° and 47.5° or 57.5° and 62.5°, that is to say for example at an angle of approximately 45° or 60° with respect to the plug-in direction.A method is for adjusting the separation force of a high current connector system. The setting of the predetermined separating force is effected at least by dimensioning the following parameters:the number of further plug contacts / further mating plug contacts;the material of the lamellae;the thickness of the blades;the length of the blades;the angle of the latching surface of the latching hook of the plates with respect to the plug-in direction;the angle of the retaining surface on the plug side of the circumferential groove of the contact pin to the plug-in direction.Exemplary EmbodimentAn exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and is explained in more detail below. The following are shown: FIG. 1a shows a plug connector housing; FIG. 1b shows a fitted module frame; FIG. 1c, d shows a further plug contact; FIG. 2a shows a mating connector housing; FIG. 2 b shows a populated counter-module frame; FIG. 2 cshows a further mating plug contact; FIG. 3 ashows the further plug contact in an enlarged view; FIG. 3 bshows the further mating plug contact in an enlarged view; FIG. 4 shows the further plug contact and the further mating plug contact in the plugged state in a sectional illustration; FIGS. 5 a, b show a plugged high-current plug connector system without and with a high-current plug contact pair in a first sectional illustration; FIGS. 6 a, b show the plugged high-current plug connector system with and without a high-current plug contact pair in a second sectional illustration. The figures contain partly simplified schematic representations. In part, identical reference numerals are used for identical, but possibly non-identical, elements. Different views of like elements could be scaled differently. Directional indications such as, for example, "left", "right", "top" and "bottom" are to be understood with reference to the respective figure and can vary in the individual representations with respect to the object represented.FIG. 1 ashows a plug connector housing 10 of a plug connector 1, which in turn is part of a high-current plug connector system shown below (see FIGS. 5 a, band 6 a, b). Although the plug connector housing 10, which is a grommet housing, is not absolutely necessary for the function of the high-current plug connector system, in the embodiment shown here, a reasonable optional component of the plug connector 1 and thus also of the high-current plug connector system, which is secure and protective. The plug connector housing 10 is made of plastic, has on the one hand a cable outlet with a cable outlet 11 and on the other hand a rectangular plug opening 18, into which a plug insert 12 shown below can be inserted and locked. In addition, the plug connector housing 10 has on its mutually opposite narrow sides a respective locking clip 14 for locking with a mating plug connector housing 20 shown laterFIG. 1 bshows the aforementioned plug insert 12, which plug insert 12 is designed as a modular frame 120 equipped as plug connector modules 123. Thus, it is a modular plug insert 12. in the present embodiment, three connector modules 123 are provided, but in another embodiment, of course, any other number of connector modules 123 could be provided. Each of the plug connector modules 123 has a contact carrier 122 with two contact chambers 128 each. However, only one of these contact chambers 128 can be seen in the drawing, because the others are equipped with high-current plug contacts 121. Finally, the two outer contact carriers 122 are completely equipped, i.e. in this case with two high-current plug contacts 121. The central contact carrier 122 is partially equipped, namely with a high-current mating contact 221, while the last contact chamber 128 for accommodating a further plug contact 100 has initially remained free. Of course, each of the contact carriers 122 could also have a different number of contact chambers 128. The contact chambers 128 of the contact carriers 122 are designed to be uniform with respect to one another.FIGS. 1 cand 1 d show the aforementioned further plug contact 100, which is provided for insertion into the last contact chamber 128, which is not yet fitted. This can be accommodated in the contact chamber 128 and held therein by the contact carrier 122, but differs from the abovementioned high-current plug-in contacts 121, in particular in that it has a holding region 108, which is however solid, so that the further plug-in contact 100 does not have a cable connection region. The further plug contact 100 also has a plug-in region designed as a contact pin 101. The contact pin 101 has a circumferential groove 106 with a retaining surface 107 on the plug side, which is particularly clearly visible and designated in the enlarged illustration in FIG. 1 d.FIG. 2 ashows a mating plug connector housing 20 of a mating plug connector 2, which together with the aforementioned plug connector 1 is part of the said high-current plug connector system. The mating plug connector housing 20, which is a grommet housing, is not absolutely necessary for the function of the high-current plug connector system, but in the embodiment shown here a reasonable optional component of the mating plug connector 2 and thus of the high-current plug connector system, which is secure and protective. The mating plug connector housing 20 is made of plastic, has on the one hand a cable outlet with a cable outlet 21 and on the other hand a rectangular plug opening 28, into which a mating plug insert 22 shown below can be inserted and latched. In addition, the mating plug connector housing 20 has on its two longitudinal sides in each case two latching pins 24 for locking with the two locking brackets 14 of the plug connector housing 10.FIG. 2 bshows the aforementioned mating plug insert 22, which mating plug insert 22 is designed as a modular frame 220 equipped as mating plug connector modules 223. Thus, it is a modular mating connector insert 22, but in the present embodiment three mating connector modules 223 are provided, but of course, any other number of mating connector modules 223 could be provided in another embodiment. Each of the mating connector modules 223 has a mating contact carrier 222 with in each case two mating contact chambers 228. However, only one of these mating contact chambers 228 can be seen in the drawing, because the others are equipped with high-current mating contacts 221. Finally, the two outer mating contact carriers 222 are completely equipped, i.e. in this case with two high-current mating contacts 221. The central mating contact carrier 222 is only partially equipped with a high-current mating contact 221, while the last mating contact chamber 228 for accommodating a further mating contact 200 has initially remained free. Of course, each of the counter-contact carriers 222 could also have a different number of counter-contact chambers 228. The counter-contact chambers 228 of the counter-contact beams 222 are formed so as to be uniform with respect to each other.FIG. 2 cshows the aforementioned further mating plug contact 200, which is provided for insertion into the mating contact chamber 228, which is not yet fitted. This is receivable in the mating contact chamber 228 and can be held therein by the mating contact carrier 222, but differs from the aforementioned high-current mating contacts 221 in particular in that it has a holding region 208, which is however solid, so that the further mating contact 200 does not have a cable connection region. The further mating plug contact 200 additionally has a plug region designed as a contact socket 201. The contact socket 201 has a plurality of slots 206, through which lamellae 209 are provided with end-side, inwardly directed latching hooks 207 (as can be seen in FIG. 3 b).FIG. 3 ashows the further plug contact 100 in an enlarged view. The holding surface 107 of the circumferential groove 106 is thereby covered.FIG. 3 bshows the further mating plug contact 200 in an enlarged view. A segmental section, at the top right in the drawing, clearly shows the latching hook 207 with a slide-on slope 2072 and a latching surface 2071 inclined with respect to the plug-in direction.FIG. 4 shows the further plug contact 100 and the further mating plug contact 200 in the plugged state in a sectional illustration. It can easily be seen that the latching hooks 207 engage with their latching surfaces 2071 inclined counter to the plug-in direction behind the holding surface 107 of the groove 106 (not designated here). For the separation, a corresponding separating force would therefore have to be applied.FIGS. 5 aand 5 band 6 aand 6 b show a plugged high-current plug connector system, comprising the plug connector 1 and the mating plug connector 2 in two different sectional representations, each with and without a high-current plug contact pair, consisting of the high-current plug contact 121 and the high-current mating plug contact 221.FIGS. 5 aand 5 b show particularly well how the lamellae 209 of the further mating plug contact 200 engage around the contact pin 101 of the further plug contact 100 on all sides in the region of its groove 106. It can be clearly seen in FIGS. 6 aand 6 bthat the latching hooks 207 of the slats 209 engage in the groove 106.Furthermore, it can be clearly seen that the contact chambers 128 are embodied in the same way as one another, regardless of whether a high-current plug contact 121 or a further plug contact 100 is inserted therein. It can likewise be seen that the mating contact chambers 228 are embodied identically to one another, regardless of whether a high-current mating plug contact 221 or a further mating plug contact 200 is inserted therein.List of reference characters1 Plug connector 10 Plug connector housing 11 Cable outlet 12 Plug insert 18 Plug opening 121 High-current plug contacts 122 Contact carrier 123 Plug connector modules 128 Contact chambers 100 Further plug contact 101 Plug region, contact pin 106 Groove 107 Holding surface 108 Holding region 2 Mating plug connector 20 Mating plug connector housing 21 Cable outlet 22 Mating plug insert 28 Plug opening 221 High-current mating plug contacts 222 Mating contact carrier 223 Mating plug connector modules 228 Mating contact chambers 200 Further mating plug contact 201 Plug region, contact socket 206 Slots 207 Latching hook 2071 Latching surface 2072 Sliding-on slope 208 Holding region 209 Lamellae

particularly preferably between 42.5° and 47.5° or 57.5° and 62.5°, that is to say for example at an angle of 45° or at an angle of 60° with respect to the plug-in direction.High-current plug connector system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, in order to generate said separating force, the further plug contact (100) and the further mating plug contact (200) are already designed at the factory in such a way that the separating force corresponds to the load capacity of the high-current plug connector system, with the result that this adaptation can already be carried out at the factory and the high-current plug connector system can be delivered to the end user with this adaptation in a pre-set manner.
