Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a container for storing goods, in particular a folding box made of cardboard, paper or the like, comprising a front wall and a rear wall, and at least one side wall connecting the front and rear walls, wherein the front, rear and side walls form a receiving space of the container. The container also comprises at least one closure structure for closing the receiving space, wherein the at least one closure structure has at least one closure flap hinged to the rear wall via a bending line and at least one tuck-in flap element connected to the closure flap via a perforation line. The invention also relates to a blank for producing a container for storing goods, in particular for producing a folding box made of cardboard, paper or the like.
[0002] A wide variety of containers and blanks for the production of containers of the type mentioned above are known. However, especially for valuable or sensitive goods, such as pharmaceuticals, it is particularly desirable to prevent unauthorized opening and thus tampering with the goods and the container. To protect such goods, tamper-evident packaging is used.
[0003] It is an object of the present invention to improve the tamper-proof nature of a container for storing goods and thus to better prevent tampering with the packaging, and to provide a corresponding blank for producing such a container.
[0004] The stated object is achieved by a container according to claim 1 and by a blank according to claim 15. Advantageous embodiments of the container according to the invention and the blank according to the invention are described in the respective subclaims. Advantageous embodiments of the container are to be regarded as advantageous embodiments of the blank, and vice versa.
[0005] The container according to the invention for storing goods comprises a front wall and a rear wall, and at least one side wall connecting the front and rear walls, wherein the front, rear, and side walls form a receiving space of the container. The front and rear walls are also, in the true sense, side walls that surround the receiving space. In other words, the container, when closed, can be configured, for example, as a tetrahedron, a cube, or a cuboid. In a preferred embodiment, the container can have two side walls and two side surfaces and can be configured as a cube or cuboid.
[0006] The container comprises at least one closure structure for closing the receiving space. The at least one closure structure comprises at least one closure flap hinged to the rear wall via a bending line and at least one insert flap element connected to the closure flap via a perforation line.
[0007] The term "bending line" refers to all lines that allow elements of the container or blank to be bent relative to one another along a defined path, such as folding, scoring, or creasing lines, or a combination of these. A bending line can be created, for example, by scoring or grooving the container material. Grooves can be created, for example, using laser energy.
[0008] The container according to the invention is characterized in that the at least one closure structure comprises a retaining tab hinged to the front wall via a bending line, wherein at least one further bending line is formed within the retaining tab, and the bending lines, in the folded state, form a web-like tab that spaced the retaining tab and the front wall apart. The retaining tab has at least one receiving opening for receiving the insert tab element. The insert tab element is a portion of the closure tab designed as a tab, which is inserted into the retaining tab to close the container. In other words, in the closed state, the insert tab element protrudes through the receiving opening of the retaining tab and is stored.
[0009] Due to the bearing of the tuck-in flap element, a tensile force is exerted on the closure flap and the tuck-in flap element when the closure structure is opened, moving the mounted tuck-in flap element towards the receiving opening. The web-like tab on the receiving opening holds the tuck-in flap element back, exerting a counterforce on the perforation line, causing the tuck-in flap element to tear off. The closure structure can then no longer be closed using the tuck-in flap element, and the torn tuck-in flap element indicates that the container has been opened. If the container has already been opened, the recipient of the goods can immediately see from the torn tuck-in flap element that the original packaging may have been tampered with.
[0010] Because the tuck-in flap element remains in the receiving pocket both when the container is closed and after it has been torn off, it cannot damage the goods inside the container during transport or after it has been torn off. Likewise, the goods cannot accidentally tear off or damage the tuck-in flap element during transport, for example, if the container is shaken.
[0011] Even if the container is opened along a length of a side wall or from the front or rear wall, tension is exerted on the closure flap and thus on the tuck-in flap element.
[0012] Preferably, the retaining tab can be mounted on the inside of the front wall and forms a receiving pocket with the inside of the front wall for storing the insert tab element, which gives the retaining tab more stability.
[0013] The container is preferably designed as a folding box made of cardboard or paper or the like.
[0014] In a preferred embodiment, the container has two closure structures located on opposite sides of the front and rear walls. The container can thus be designed, for example, as a cuboid, each of whose side surfaces is formed by a closure structure. This provides a locking mechanism on each side of the container. This makes the container particularly secure and allows for greater freedom in terms of container design and size.
[0015] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the container according to the invention, the closure flap has a folding element hinged via a bending line, which forms the tuck-in flap element in a partial area. The folding element is thus a partial area of the closure flap that is folded to form the closure flap. As a result, the folding element aligns the tuck-in flap element toward the receiving opening when the container is closed. The perforation line delimiting the tuck-in flap element is thus even more securely positioned inside the container and cannot be accidentally damaged from the outside.
[0016] In a further development, a bending line that guides the folding element can be designed as a cut or perforation line in a partial area. A user can reach through the resulting gap to open the closure structure.
[0017] The container can preferably be characterized in that the tuck-in flap element is tapered in the direction of the perforation line. The contour of the tuck-in flap element thus has a shape that allows the tuck-in flap element to be retained even more effectively by the receiving pocket, in particular by the web-like flap, as soon as tension is exerted on the tuck-in flap element when the container is opened. The counterpressure exerted by the web-like flap with the receiving opening is thereby increased, and the tearing off of the tuck-in flap element is thus even more efficient. Such a container is therefore more secure. These advantages are further enhanced if the tuck-in flap element has one or more locking lugs arranged on the taper.
[0018] According to a further embodiment of the container, the receiving opening of the retaining tab can be designed as a slot or gap, preferably as a gap with a smaller extension than a cut or perforation line arranged at the gap for inserting the insert tab element. The insert tab element can then be inserted very easily, but snaps into the narrower gap when subjected to tensile force. The counterpressure on the insert tab element is thereby increased, and the insert tab element is more reliably torn off upon opening.
[0019] In particular, a combination of an insert tab element tapering in the direction of the perforation line and the design of the receiving opening as a slot or gap, in particular with an additional cut or perforation line arranged at the gap, increases the reliability of the insert tab element being torn off when opening the container. This is further improved if the insert tab element has one or two lateral locking lugs, to which the insert tab element is held by the web-like tab.
[0020] The counter pressure of the receiving pocket on the insertion flap element when opening the container can be further increased if the retaining flap is attached to the inside of the front wall when the container is closed, for example, glued to the inside of the front wall.
[0021] Optionally, the retaining tab can have a tear-off area formed by a cut or perforation line at an end remote from the front wall, and the tear-off area can be attached to the inside of the front wall. If a user pulls on the retaining tab to open the container, this tear-off area is also torn off. Thus, an additional tamper-evident feature is provided.
[0022] Additional quality assurance is achieved if the closure flap forms a tear-off zone defined by a perforation line on one or more of its edges. When the container is opened along a length of the front, back, or side wall, a pull is exerted that partially or completely tears off such a tear-off zone. Such a container is therefore particularly well secured even if a person attempts to circumvent the container's opening via the closure structure. A tear-off zone is defined as a portion of the closure flap designed as a tear-off tab.
[0023] For even better closure of the container, the at least one side wall, preferably all side walls, can each have at least one dust flap hinged along a bending line. Especially if the at least one dust flap has an indicator area at the bending line that points outward when the container is closed and rests against the tear-off area when the container is closed, it can be seen from the outside that the container has been opened when the tear-off area of the side panel element is torn off.
[0024] The above-mentioned object is also achieved by a blank for producing a container for storing goods, in particular for producing a folding box made of cardboard, paper or the like, wherein the blank is formed in one piece. The blank comprises a front wall and a rear wall, and at least one side wall connecting the front and rear walls. This is designed such that the front, rear and side walls form a receiving space when the blank is folded. The blank comprises at least one closure structure for closing the receiving space in the folded state, which closure structure is hinged to the rear wall via a bending line. The at least one closure structure has at least one closure flap hinged to the rear wall via a bending line and at least one tuck-in flap element connected to the closure flap via a perforation line. The at least one closure construction comprises a retaining tab hinged to the front wall via a bending line, wherein at least one further bending line is formed within the retaining tab and the bending lines, in the folded state, form a web-like tab which spaced the retaining tab and the front wall apart, wherein the retaining tab has at least one receiving opening for receiving the insertion tab element.
[0025] The advantages already discussed above arise.
[0026] In one embodiment, the retaining tab can be mounted on the inside of the front wall and, together with the inside of the front wall, form a receiving pocket for storing the insert tab element. The advantages have already been discussed for the container according to the invention.
[0027] Preferably, the blank can have two closure structures located on opposite sides of the front and rear walls. Additionally or alternatively, the closure flap can have a folding element hinged via a bending line, which forms the tuck-in flap element in a partial area, designed such that, when the blank is folded, the folding element aligns the tuck-in flap element toward the receiving opening. The respective advantages have already been discussed above.
[0028] The advantages of an embodiment in which a bending line that guides the folding element is designed as a cutting or perforation line in a partial area have already been discussed for the container according to the invention. This embodiment is also advantageous for the blank according to the invention.
[0029] The blank according to the invention can optionally form a tuck-in flap element that tapers in the direction of the perforation line. Advantageously, the tuck-in flap element can have one or more locking lugs arranged at the taper. The advantages of these features have already been discussed for the container according to the invention.
[0030] In a preferred embodiment of the blank according to the invention, the receiving opening of the retaining tab can be designed as a slot or gap, preferably as a gap with a smaller extent than a cutting or perforation line arranged on the gap for inserting the insertion tab element.
[0031] In a further embodiment, the blank according to the invention can be characterized in that the retaining tab has a tear-off area formed by a cut or perforation line at an end facing away from the front wall. Additionally or alternatively, the closure tab can form a tear-off area defined by a perforation line on one or more of its edges.
[0032] Optionally, in the blank according to the invention, at least one side wall, optionally all side walls, can also have at least one dust flap hinged along a bending line. In a further development, the at least one dust flap can have an indicator area at the bending line.
[0033] Further advantages and further embodiments of the blank of the invention can be found in the description of the container according to the invention.
[0034] Further features of the invention emerge from the claims, the exemplary embodiments, and the drawings. The features and combinations of features mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the exemplary embodiments, can be used not only in the respective combinations specified, but also in other combinations without departing from the scope of the invention. They show: Fig. 1 a schematic three-dimensional representation of an embodiment of a container according to the invention in the folded state with an open closure construction; Fig. 2 a further schematic three-dimensional representation of the container according to the invention of Fig. 1 in the folded state with the closure construction opened; Fig. 3 a schematic representation of an embodiment of the blank according to the invention; and Fig. 4 a schematic representation of the inventive cut of the Fig. 3 with folded retaining tabs.
[0035] The Fig. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a container 10, which in the example of Fig. 1 can preferably be designed as a folding carton. The material of the container 10 can be made of paper, plastic, or another suitable material, as an alternative to cardboard.
[0036] In the three-dimensional representation of the Fig. 1, a rear wall 16 is visible, as well as a side wall 14. In the exemplary embodiment of the Fig. 1 also shows the inner wall of the front wall 12, as well as the inner wall of a second side wall 18 and the receiving space 19. Alternatively to the cuboid design, the container 10 can, for example, also have only one side wall 14, so that the front and rear walls 12, 16 directly adjoin one side; or the container 10 can be designed as any other polyhedron.
[0037] The exemplary container 10 of the Fig. 1 has one in the Fig. 1 visible closure structure 20, and may preferably have a further closure structure 20 at the opposite end of the front and rear walls 12, 16, which in the Fig. 1 is not visible.
[0038] In the view of the Fig. 1 also shows two dust flaps 22, which can be hinged to a side wall 14, 18 via a bending line. Fig. 1 shows an inner side of the dust flaps 22, which, after folding, point inwards towards the interior of the container 10. Not visible is an optional indicator area on an outer side of the dust flaps 22 opposite the inner side, which can preferably be located on the bending line. Such an indicator area designates an area that can be highlighted, for example, by color marking. Ideally, the circumference or a minimum circumference of the indicator area can be the area that, when the container 10 is closed, lies against a tear-off area 24 of the closure flap 26 of the closure structure 20. The Fig. The tear-off areas 24 of the closure tab 26 shown in Figure 1 are optional designs.
[0039] The closure flap 26 of the container 10 of the Fig. 1 comprises a folding element 30 and a tuck-in flap element 32. The Fig. 1 also illustrates the area of the closure flap 26 that forms a side surface of the container 10 with a side surface element 28. Alternatively to the embodiment in the Fig. 1, the tuck-in flap element 32 can also be directly adjacent to the side panel element 28 and be connected to it via a perforation line. In the embodiment with a folding element 30, the tuck-in flap element 32 is a portion of the folding element 30 and is separated from the folding element 30 by a perforation line 34. The folding element 30 is then connected to the side panel element 28 via a bending line 36. Fig. 1 additionally shows a cutting or perforation line 38, which forms a portion of the bending line 36 and can serve, for example, as an engagement for a user's finger to open the container 10.
[0040] The closure structure 20 also includes a retaining tab 40, which is connected to the front wall 12 via a web-like tab 42. In the Fig. 1 clearly shows that the retaining tab 40 is folded inward such that one end of the retaining tab 40 points toward the opposite side wall of the front and rear walls 12, 16, and the retaining tab 40 thus forms a receiving pocket with the inner wall of the front wall 12. Preferably, one end of the retaining tab 40 can be connected to the inner wall of the front wall 12, for example, glued to the front wall 12. The web-like tab 42 is delimited by two essentially parallel or parallel bending lines. This creates a tear line that is damaged upon opening.
[0041] The Fig. 1 also shows a receiving opening 44 in the retaining tab 40, into which the insert tab element 32 is inserted for closing. The receiving opening 44 is designed as a slot or gap, preferably with a width suitable for supporting the insert tab element 32, but which is less than the extension of the insert tab element 32, so that the locking lugs 33 hook onto the web-like tab 42 as soon as the insert tab element 32 is pulled toward the web-like tab 42. Thus, the insert tab element 32 can be easily pushed through the gap 36 into the receiving pocket 36, but remains caught in the gap and on the web-like tab 42 when the container 10 is opened. This promotes the tearing off of the insert tab element 32.
[0042] The Fig. 2 shows the container 10 of the Fig. 1 so that in the Fig. 2 the front wall 12 can be seen from the outside. In the Fig. 2, two optional color indicator holes 48 can be seen in the rear panel 16. In the example of Fig. 2, the two dust flaps 22 are already folded inward to close the container 10. Visible from the closure structure 20 is the closure flap 26, whose folding element 30 is folded. The cut or perforation line 38 is visible as an open gap through which, for example, a user can later insert their finger to open the container 10 and pull the closure flap 26 out of the container 10. Also visible is the web-like flap 42 and the closure device 50, into which the insertion flap element 32 is inserted into the receiving opening 44 to close the container 10.
[0043] The Fig. Figure 3 shows a blank 52, which may be made of cardboard, paper, plastic or the like, for example, and for producing a container 10 according to the examples of Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Preferably, the blank 52 can be made of cardboard. The blank is formed in one piece.
[0044] Front wall 12, side wall 14, rear wall 16, and side wall 18 are each hinged to one another via a bending line 53. The bending lines 59 can preferably be designed as perforation lines that tear when the container 10 is opened. The blank 52 also shows an optional fastening tab 54, which can be glued or sealed, for example, to the side wall 18 to form the body of the container 10.
[0045] The example of Fig. Figure 3 shows the blank 52 from its front side, that is, the sides that face outwards after folding the container 10. In other words, after folding the blank 52, the Fig. 3 shown side of front and rear wall 12, 16, as well as the Fig. 3 shown sides of the side walls 14 and the side surface elements 28. Located on the in the Fig. If there is an imprint, for example an indicator color area or lettering, on the side of the tuck-in tab element 32 shown in Figure 3, this is visible through the color indicator hole 48 when the tuck-in tab element 32 is inserted into the receiving pocket formed by the retaining tab 40 and the inner wall of the side wall 18.
[0046] The closure tabs 26, the retaining tabs 40, and the dust tabs 22 are each hinged to the respective wall of the blank 52 via bending lines 55. In the case of the retaining tabs 40, these are the bending lines 56 and 57, which form the web-like tab 42.
[0047] The view of the blank 52 also shows the color indicator areas 58, which may preferably have the same outline as the tear-off areas 24.
[0048] The Fig. 3 also shows the receiving opening 44, which has a smaller extent than the gap formed by a cut or perforation line 46. Optional adhesive points 60, for example adhesive dots, are also marked on the retaining tabs 40, to which the retaining tab 40 can be attached to the inside of the rear wall 16. The adhesive points 60 are located on the back of the respective retaining tab 40, i.e. on the Fig. 3 invisible side. Both Fig. 3 as well as Fig. 4 show cutting or perforation lines 62, each defining the outline of an additional optional tear-off area 63 which tears off upon opening if the tear-off area 63 is attached to the inside of the back panel 16.
[0049] The Fig. 4 shows another view of the cut 52 of the Fig.3, in which the retaining tabs 40 are already hinged to the inner wall of the front wall 12, and preferably attached to the front wall 12. This also shows the two receiving pockets formed by the two retaining tabs 40.
