Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a container for storing goods, comprising a front wall and a rear wall, at least one side wall connecting the front and rear walls, wherein the front, rear, and side walls form a receiving space of the container, and at least one closure structure for closing the receiving space. The invention further relates to a blank for producing a container for storing goods, in particular for producing a folding box made of cardboard, paper, or the like, wherein the blank is formed in one piece.
[0002] A wide variety of containers and blanks for the production of containers of the type mentioned above are known. However, especially for valuable or sensitive goods, such as pharmaceuticals, it is particularly desirable to prevent unauthorized opening and thus tampering with the goods and the container. To protect such goods, tamper-evident packaging is used.
[0003] It is an object of the present invention to improve the tamper-proof nature of a container for storing goods and thus to better prevent tampering with the packaging, and to provide a corresponding blank for producing such a container.
[0004] The stated object is achieved by a container according to claim 1 and by a blank according to claim 21. Advantageous embodiments of the container according to the invention and the blank according to the invention are described in the respective subclaims. Advantageous embodiments of the container are to be regarded as advantageous embodiments of the blank, and vice versa.
[0005] A first aspect of the invention relates to a container for storing goods, comprising a front wall and a rear wall, and at least one side wall connecting the front and rear walls, the front, rear, and side walls forming a receiving space of the container. The front wall and rear wall are actually side walls surrounding the receiving space. The terms “front wall” and “rear wall” were used in particular to better illustrate the invention. The container according to the invention can, for example, be designed as a tetrahedron, as a cube, or as a cuboid. In a preferred embodiment, the container can be designed as a cube or cuboid. The container can have a polygonal cross-section. Other cross-sectional shapes are also conceivable. The container according to the invention can be used to store a wide variety of goods.
[0006] The container according to the invention also has at least one closure structure for closing the receiving space, wherein the at least one closure structure comprises a closure tab hinged and connected to the front wall or to the rear wall and a plug-in tab hinged to the closure tab, wherein at least one receiving element is formed on the plug-in tab in such a way that the receiving element locks into at least one retaining element when the container is in the closed state, wherein the retaining element is formed on an inner side of a wall to which the closure tab is not connected, and the receiving element has at least one perforation line. The closure construction according to the invention, and in particular the design of the receiving element with at least one perforation line, significantly improves the tamper-proof nature of the container, so that tampering with the container or packaging and its contents can be better prevented. When the container is opened, i.e. when the closure tab is moved from a closed to an open position, the receiving element, which is locked to the retaining element, is at least partially detached from the insertion tab via the perforation line. This destroys the closure construction entirely, and secure reclosure of the container is no longer possible. In addition, the damage to the closure construction is clearly visible. This makes it clear that the container has already been opened once.
[0007] In further advantageous embodiments of the container according to the invention, the receiving element has at least one end flap which is connected to the insertion flap via a bending line. The bending line and the perforation line of the receiving element, which is arranged in the end flap, can define a first section, in particular a web-like apex surface, in the end flap. A second section of the end flap, which adjoins the perforation line, forms a further surface which is connected at least in sections to an inner side of the insertion flap facing into the receiving space of the container or at least in sections to an inner side of the closure flap facing into the receiving space, wherein the first and second sections and the inner side of the insertion flap or the inner side of the closure flap form a receiving opening for receiving the retaining element. However, it is also possible for the end flap to comprise at least one further perforation line, such that the two perforation lines divide the end flap into at least three sections, with at least two sections and the inside of the tuck-in flap or the inside of the closure flap forming the receiving opening for receiving the retaining element. The end flap can also comprise at least one further bending line, such that the bending and perforation lines divide the end flap into at least three sections, with the sections and the inside of the tuck-in flap or the inside of the closure flap forming the receiving opening for receiving the retaining element.
[0008] The first section of the end flap, which is hinged to the tuck-in flap, can form a web-like apex surface, the second section, which is bordered by the two perforation lines, a connecting flap, and the third section adjoining the connecting flap, a fastening flap of the end flap. However, it is also possible for the first section, which is hinged to the tuck-in flap, to form an apex surface, the second section, which is bordered by the bending and perforation lines, a connecting flap, and the third section adjoining the connecting flap, a fastening flap of the end flap. The fastening flap can be attached to an inner side of the closure flap. Another possibility is for the fastening flap to be connected to the inner side of the tuck-in flap facing into the receiving space.
[0009] The inventive design of the receiving opening for receiving the retaining element enables secure initial closure of the container. When the container is opened, the locking connection between the retaining element and the receiving opening for the retaining element remains intact at least until at least a portion of the receiving element or the end flap detaches from the plug-in flap via the at least one perforation line formed in the end flap. This, in turn, destroys the entire closure structure, making secure reclosure of the container impossible. Furthermore, the damage to the closure structure is clearly visible. This makes it clear that the container has already been opened once.
[0010] The term "bending line" refers to all lines that allow elements of the container or blank to be bent relative to one another along a defined path, such as folding, scoring, or creasing lines, or a combination of these. A bending line can be created, for example, by scoring or grooving the container material. Grooves can be created using laser energy, for example.
[0011] In further advantageous embodiments of the container according to the invention, the retaining element is arranged at a distance from the inner wall against which it rests. This ensures that the receiving element with the receiving opening can be easily brought into engagement with the retaining element during the initial closure of the container. In this case, it is possible for the retaining element to comprise at least one recess for receiving the receiving element, at the boundary of which at least one locking lug is formed for engaging in the receiving opening formed by the receiving element. In addition, there is the possibility for the retaining element to have a main wall projecting into the receiving space, wherein the main wall is articulated laterally via bending or perforation lines to at least one fastening tab, and the fastening tabs are each designed to connect to the surfaces of the side walls facing into the receiving space. The fastening tabs can be narrower relative to the side walls. This ensures, on the one hand, the advantageous spacing of the retaining element or the main wall of the retaining element. On the other hand, such a design of the retaining element allows for its integral construction with the front, rear, and side walls, as well as the closure structure. This integral construction reduces the amount of material required to manufacture the container according to the invention, and also optimizes the manufacturing process. Overall, this results in significant cost advantages.
[0012] In further advantageous embodiments of the container according to the invention, the closure tab is hingedly connected to the tuck-in tab via a bending line, and the bending line is interrupted by a cutting line to form a gripping tab. The gripping tab protruding from or projecting beyond the closure tab facilitates opening of the container via the closure tab. Furthermore, there is the possibility of at least one perforation line being formed in the closure tab, wherein the perforation line encloses a tear-off surface. When the closure tab is actuated, the tear-off surface is severed from the closure tab and destroys it. The damage to the closure tab is clearly visible. It is clearly evident that the container has already been opened once. It is also possible for the end tab to be tapered towards the tuck-in tab. This significantly facilitates the insertion of the end flap or the receiving opening formed therefrom into the receiving space of the container and in particular into the retaining device. Finally, a closure flap can be formed as part of the closure structure at both ends of the front wall or the rear wall. The same applies to the design and arrangement of the retaining element that accommodates the receiving element of the closure flap. This enables a secure and tamper-proof closure of both the lid and base ends of the container according to the invention. Overall, the container can be designed as a folding box and consist of cardboard, paper, plastic, or a combination of these materials. In particular, the use of cardboard and / or paper contributes to a sustainable, material-saving, and thus ecologically desirable production of the container. The use of plastic can be largely or completely avoided.
[0013] A second aspect of the invention relates to a blank for producing a container for storing goods. The blank is formed in one piece and comprises a front wall and a rear wall, at least one side wall connecting the front and rear walls such that the front, rear, and side walls form a receiving space of the container when the blank is folded, and at least one closure structure. According to the invention, the at least one closure structure comprises a closure flap hinged and connected to the front wall or the rear wall via a bending line, and a plug-in flap hinged to the closure flap via a bending line.At least one receiving element is formed on the insertion flap such that, when the blank is folded and the container is closed, the receiving element engages with at least one retaining element. The retaining element is formed on an inner side of the wall to which the closure flap is not hinged, and the receiving element has at least one perforation line. The closure construction according to the invention, and in particular the design of the receiving element with at least one perforation line, significantly improves the tamper-proof nature of the container produced from the blank, so that tampering with the container or packaging and its contents can be better prevented. When the container is opened, i.e., when the closure flap is moved from a closed to an open position, the receiving element, which is locked to the retaining element, is at least partially released from the plug-in flap via the perforation line. This destroys the entire closure structure, making it impossible to securely reclose the container. Furthermore, the damage to the closure structure is clearly visible. This makes it clear that the container has already been opened.
[0014] In further advantageous embodiments of the blank according to the invention, the receiving element has at least one end flap which is connected to the tuck-in flap via a bending line. The bending line and the perforation line of the receiving element, both of which are arranged in the end flap, can define a first section, in particular a web-like apex surface, in the end flap. A second section of the end flap, following the perforation line, forms a further surface which, when the blank is folded, is connected at least in sections to an inner side of the tuck-in flap facing into the receiving space of the container or at least in sections to an inner side of the closure flap facing into the receiving space, wherein the first and second sections and the inner side of the tuck-in flap or the inner side of the closure flap form a receiving opening for receiving the retaining element. However, it is also possible for the end flap to comprise at least one further perforation line such that the two perforation lines divide the end flap into at least three sections, with at least two sections and the inside of the tuck-in flap or the inside of the closure flap forming the receiving opening for receiving the retaining element when the blank is folded. The end flap can also comprise at least one further bending line such that the bending and perforation lines divide the end flap into at least three sections, with the sections and the inside of the tuck-in flap or the inside of the closure flap forming the receiving opening for receiving the retaining element when the blank is folded.
[0015] The first section of the end flap, which is hinged to the tuck-in flap, can form a web-like apex surface, the second section, which is bordered by the two perforation lines, a connecting flap, and the third section adjoining the connecting flap, a fastening flap of the end flap. However, it is also possible for the first section, which is hinged to the tuck-in flap, to form an apex surface, the second section, which is bordered by the bending and perforation lines, a connecting flap, and the third section adjoining the connecting flap, a fastening flap of the end flap. In this case, the fastening flap can be fastened to an inner side of the closure flap when the blank is folded. Another possibility is for the fastening flap to be connected to the inner side of the tuck-in flap facing into the receiving space when the blank is folded.
[0016] The inventive design of the receiving opening for receiving the retaining element enables a secure initial closure of the container produced by the blank. When the container is opened, the locking connection between the retaining element and the receiving opening for the retaining element remains intact at least until at least a portion of the receiving element or the end flap detaches from the plug-in flap via the at least one perforation line formed in the end flap. This, in turn, destroys the entire closure structure, and secure reclosure of the container is no longer possible. In addition, the damage to the closure structure is clearly visible. This makes it clear that the container has already been opened once.
[0017] In further advantageous embodiments of the blank according to the invention, the retaining element, in the folded state of the blank, is arranged at a distance from the inner wall to which it is positioned closer. This ensures that the receiving element with the receiving opening can be easily brought into engagement with the retaining element during the initial closure of the container. It is possible for the retaining element to comprise at least one recess for receiving the receiving element in the folded state of the blank, at the boundary of which at least one locking lug is formed for engaging in the receiving opening formed by the receiving element.Furthermore, it is possible for the retaining element, when the blank is folded, to have a main wall projecting into the receiving space, wherein the main wall is articulated laterally via bending or perforation lines to at least one fastening tab, and the fastening tabs are each designed to connect to the surfaces of the side walls facing into the receiving space. The fastening tabs can be narrower relative to the side walls. This ensures, on the one hand, the advantageous spacing of the retaining element or the main wall of the retaining element. On the other hand, with such a design of the retaining element, it is possible to form it in one piece with the front, rear, and side walls as well as the closure structure. The one-piece design of the blank according to the invention reduces the amount of material required to manufacture the container and optimizes the manufacturing process. Overall, this results in significant cost advantages.
[0018] In further advantageous embodiments of the blank according to the invention, the closure flap is hingedly connected to the tuck-in flap via a bending line, and the bending line is interrupted by a cutting line to form a gripping flap. The gripping flap, which protrudes from or projects beyond the closure flap when the blank is folded, facilitates opening of the container produced using the blank via the closure flap. Furthermore, there is the possibility of at least one perforation line being formed in the closure flap, wherein the perforation line encloses a tear-off surface. When the closure flap is actuated, the tear-off surface is severed from the closure flap and destroys it. Damage to the closure flap is clearly visible. Furthermore, it is possible for the end flap to be tapered towards the tuck-in flap. This significantly facilitates the insertion of the end flap, or the receiving opening formed therefrom in the folded state of the blank, into the receiving space of the container and in particular into the retaining device. Finally, a closure flap can be formed as part of the closure structure at both ends of the front wall or the rear wall. The same applies to the design and arrangement of the retaining element that accommodates the receiving element of the closure flap. This enables a secure and tamper-proof closure of both the lid and base ends of the container produced with the blank according to the invention. Overall, the blank can be made of cardboard, paper, plastic, or a combination of these materials. In particular, the use of cardboard and / or paper contributes to a sustainable, material-friendly, and thus ecologically desirable production of the container. The use of plastic can be largely or completely avoided.
[0019] Further features and their advantages can be found in the descriptions of the first aspect of the invention, wherein advantageous embodiments of the first aspect of the invention are to be regarded as advantageous embodiments of the second aspect of the invention and vice versa.
[0020] Furthermore, further features of the invention emerge from the claims, the exemplary embodiments, and the drawings. The features and combinations of features mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the exemplary embodiments, can be used not only in the respective specified combination, but also in other combinations without departing from the scope of the invention. They show: Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of the container according to the invention in a partially opened state; Fig. 2 a schematic representation of the container according to the invention according to Fig. 1 in a view obliquely from above; Fig. 3 a schematic representation of the container according to the invention according to Fig. 1 in a partially unfolded state; and Fig. 4 a schematic representation of a blank according to the invention.
[0021] The Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of a container 10. The container 10 serves for storing goods of any kind. The container 10 comprises a front wall 12, a rear wall 14, and side walls 16, 18 connecting the front and rear walls 12, 14. It can be seen that the front, rear, and side walls 12, 14, 16, 18 form a receiving space 20 for the goods to be stored. Furthermore, it can be seen that in the illustrated embodiment, the container 10 has a closure structure 22 at its lid end as well as a closure structure 22 at its bottom end (see also Fig. 3). Fig. 1 in the closure constructions 22 shown (see in particular the lid-side closure flap 22 shown in the open state) each have a closure flap 24 connected to the rear wall 14 and hinged via a bending line 42. On the side opposite the rear wall 14, the closure flap 24 is hinged to a plug-in flap 26 via a bending line 100. A receiving element 28 is in turn formed on the plug-in flap 26 as part of the closure construction 22. In the closed state of the container 10, the receiving element 28 engages with a retaining element 30 (cf. Fig. 2 and Fig. 3), wherein the retaining element 30 is formed on an inner side of the front wall 12. The inner sides of the respective front, rear, or side walls 12, 14, 16, 18 are referred to as the side or surface of the respective wall facing in the direction of the receiving space 20.
[0022] It can be seen that the receiving element 28 in the illustrated embodiment has two perforation lines 32, 48. The perforation lines 32, 48 are arranged in an end flap 34, which is defined as part of the receiving element 28 and which is connected to the insertion flap 26 via a bending line 44. Furthermore, it can be seen that the perforation lines 32, 48 divide the end flap 34 into three sections 36, 38, 40, wherein the two sections 36, 38 and an inner side of the insertion flap 26 form a receiving opening 46 for receiving the retaining element 30. It is clear that the first section 36, which is hinged to the insertion flap 26 via a bending line 44, forms a web-like apex surface. The second section 38, which is delimited by the two perforation lines 32, 48, can form a connecting tab and a third section 40 adjoining the connecting tab can form a fastening tab of the end tab 34.The fastening tab is glued to an inside of the closure tab 24.
[0023] Furthermore, the Fig. 1 that the bending line 100, which connects the plug-in tab 26 to the closure tab 24 in an articulated manner, is defined by a cutting line 78 (compare Fig. 4) to form a grip tab 82. The grip tab 82 serves to facilitate the opening of the closure structure 22 by means of the closure tab 24. Furthermore, it can be seen that two further perforation lines 74, 76 are formed in the closure tab 24. The perforation lines 74, 76 each enclose a tear-off surface 70, 72. When the closure structure 22 is opened by means of the closure tab 24 and a correspondingly large force is exerted on the closure tab 24, the tear-off surfaces 70, 72 are separated from the closure tab 24. The same applies to the connecting tab 38, which is delimited by the perforation lines 32, 48 in the end tab 34. This destroys the closure structure 22 as a whole, and secure reclosure of the container 10 is not possible. Furthermore, it is clearly visible that the container 10 has already been opened.
[0024] Fig. 2 shows a schematic representation of the container 10 according to Fig. 1 in a view obliquely from above. This clearly shows the design of the retaining element 30. It can be seen that the retaining element 30 has a main wall 52 protruding into the receiving space 20, wherein the main wall 52 is laterally connected in an articulated manner via perforation lines 62, 64 to a fastening tab 54, 56. The fastening tabs 54, 56 each serve to connect, in particular to glue, the surfaces of the side walls 16, 18 facing into the receiving space 20. It can be seen that the retaining element 30 and in particular the main wall 52 are spaced from the inside of the front wall 12. The spacing serves to facilitate the insertion of the receiving element 28 with the receiving opening 46. In particular, the distance between the inner side of the front wall 12 and the main wall 52 is selected such that it corresponds to a width of the first web-like section 36 of the end flap 34 between the bending line 44 and the perforation line 32.However, the distance can be selected to be greater than the width of the first section 36 between the bending line 44 and the perforation line 32. Furthermore, it can be seen that the retaining element 30 has a recess 66 for receiving the receiving element 28. At the edge of the recess 66, lateral locking lugs 68 are formed for engaging in the receiving opening 46 formed by the receiving element 28. This ensures secure locking of the receiving element 28 to the retaining element 30. In addition to the effects already described when the closure structure 22 is opened, it is also clear that the retaining element 30 can also be damaged if the container 10 is opened via the closure tab 24. In particular, if a corresponding force were exerted, the main wall 52 would detach from the fastening tabs 54, 56 via the perforation lines 62, 64.
[0025] Furthermore, it can be seen that engagement recesses 96 are formed in the end regions of the front wall 12. These facilitate opening of the container 10 via the closure structure 22. At the respective ends of the side walls 16, 18 (see also Fig. 4) Dust flaps 92, 94 are formed, which, when the container 10 is closed, are intended to prevent the penetration of dust or similar contaminants into the receiving space 20. Furthermore, it can be seen that the rear wall 14 is articulated to the side wall 16 via a bending line 86, and the side wall 16 is articulated to the front wall 12 via a bending line 88.
[0026] Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of the container 10 according to Fig. 1 in a partially unfolded state. One can once again see, in particular, the design and arrangement of the retaining element 30 within the container 10. It is thus clear that the fastening tab 54 is connected via a bending line 84 to the rear wall 14, to which the closure structure 22 is hinged via the bending line 42. The main wall 52 of the retaining element 30 is in turn hingedly connected to the fastening tab 54 via the perforation line 62, which also acts as a bending line 42. At the end opposite the perforation line 62, the main wall 52 is then connected to the fastening tab 56 via the further perforation line 64, which here also serves as a bending line 42. It can be seen that the fastening tab 56 is designed such that, when the container 10 is folded, it can be glued to an inner side of the side wall 16.The inner side of the opposite side wall 18, on the other hand, is connected, in particular glued, to the fastening tab 54. Furthermore, it is clear that the fastening tabs 54, 56 are narrower relative to the side walls 16, 18, thus allowing the distance between the main wall 52 and the front wall 12 to be formed.
[0027] In addition, Fig. 3 clearly shows that the embodiment of the container 10 shown here forms a closure structure 22 at both ends of the rear wall 14. The closure structure 22 is shown in the closed state, i.e. with a receiving element 28 latched into the retaining element 30, and in the open state, i.e. with the receiving element 28 and the retaining element 30 not latched. The design of the receiving opening 46 is again clearly visible by means of the first and second sections 36, 38 of the end tab 34 and the inside of the corresponding plug-in tab 26. Furthermore, the design of the recess 66 is shown with the locking lugs 68 formed in the recess 66 and projecting into the recess 66. The locking lugs 68 latch within the receiving opening 46 when the container 10 is closed.
[0028] Furthermore, it can be seen that the front wall 12 is hingedly connected to the side wall 18 via a bending line 90, wherein the side wall 18 is glued to the fastening tab 54 when the container 10 is folded. Dust tabs 94 are again formed at the opposite ends of the side wall 18.
[0029] Fig.4 shows a schematic representation of a blank 110 for producing a container 10 for storing goods. It can be seen that the blank 110 is formed in one piece. In particular, the blank 110 is used to produce a folding box made of cardboard, paper, or the like. It can be seen that the blank 110 has a front wall 12 and a rear wall 14, wherein the front wall 12 is hingedly connected to a side wall 18 via a bending line 90. On the side of the front wall 12 opposite the bending line 90, a further side wall 16 is hinged to the front wall 12 via a bending line 88. On the side opposite the bending line 88, the side wall 16 is hingedly connected to the rear wall 14 of the blank 110 via a bending line 86. It can be seen that the front wall 12 is again connected to a fastening tab 54 via a bending line 84 on the side opposite the bending line 86.The fastening tab 54 is connected to a main wall 52 via a perforation line 62. Another perforation line 64, which runs parallel to the perforation line 62 and is arranged at an opposite end of the main wall 52, connects the main wall 52 to another fastening tab 56. In the illustrated embodiment, the fastening tabs 54, 56 each have an adhesive surface 58, 60. The dimensions of the adhesive surfaces 58, 60 are shown only as examples. A plurality of smaller adhesive surfaces and also adhesive surfaces with other shapes can also be used. In particular, when using the blank 110 for the production of a container 10 for storing pharmaceutical products or food, the amount of adhesive should be kept as low as possible. Therefore, the dimensions of the adhesive surfaces 58, 60, as well as the other adhesive surfaces of the blank 110, are only examples.Furthermore, it can be seen that the fastening tabs 54, 56 and the main wall 52 are part of a retaining element 30. To form the retaining element 30, the main wall 52 has a recess 66 at each of its opposite ends. In turn, locking lugs 68 are formed in the recess 66, which protrude laterally into the recess 66 and serve to receive a receiving opening 46 of the receiving element 28 in the folded state of the blank 110.
[0030] Furthermore, it can be seen that a closure flap 24 is hinged to opposite ends of the rear wall 14 via a bending line 42. At the end of the closure flap 48 opposite the bending line 42, a plug-in flap 26 is hingedly connected to the closure flap 24 via a bending line 100. The plug-in flap 26 is hingedly connected to an end flap 34 via a bending line 44 opposite and approximately parallel to the bending line 110. Two perforation lines 32, 48 are formed within the end flap 34, which also run approximately parallel to one another. It can be seen that the bending line 44 and the perforation line 32 form a first section 36, in particular a web-like apex surface when the end flap 34 is folded.A second section 38, which is delimited by the two perforation lines 32, 48, serves as a connecting tab to a fastening tab of the end flap 34, formed as a third section 40. The fastening tab 40 is fastened in the folded state of the blank 110 and to an inner side of the closure flap 24. It can be seen that the third section 40 has an adhesive surface 98 for this purpose.
[0031] Furthermore, it can be seen that the fastening tabs 54, 56 are narrower relative to the side walls 16, 18. The bending line 100, which connects the closure tab 24 to the insertion tab 26, is interrupted by a cutting line 78 to form a gripping tab 82. Further interruptions of the bending line 100 can be seen at the edges, namely as further cutting lines 80. In the illustrated embodiment of the blank 110, two further perforation lines 74, 76 are formed in the closure tab 24, each of which encloses a tear-off surface 70, 72. Furthermore, it can be seen that the end tab 34 is tapered in the direction of the insertion tab 26. It is also clear that a closure tab 28 is formed at each end of the rear wall 14 as part of the closure structure 22.
[0032] Dust flaps 92, 94 are formed at the respective opposite ends of the side walls 16, 18, which are intended to prevent dust or similar contaminants from entering the receiving space 20 when the container 10 is closed. The dust flaps 92, 94 are connected to the respective side walls 16, 18 via bending lines 50.
