Description

[0001] The invention relates to a cleaning device for cleaning the surface of solar panels, photovoltaic systems, glass roofs, facades or other smooth surfaces according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Such a cleaning device is known from DE 20 2011 105 493 U1. This device comprises a cleaning unit with a cleaning brush rotatably mounted on a support and rotatable about its longitudinal axis by a drive, and a support and positioning device with a boom arm pivotable about a horizontal first transverse axis and a support arm pivotably arranged on the boom arm for positioning and holding the cleaning unit. The support arm is pivotable about a second transverse axis perpendicular to the horizontal first transverse axis, so that the support arm can be pivoted laterally into a transport or parking position. The support and positioning device can be coupled to a tractor, usually equipped with a three-point hitch, or another suitable vehicle via a support frame designed as a three-point linkage. With this type of support and positioning device, however, the adjustment options for the cleaning unit are limited. In the extended cleaning position of the support arm, the cleaning unit is relatively far from the boom arm, resulting in a correspondingly large gap between the transport vehicle and the cleaning unit. This can lead to accessibility problems, especially when the rows of photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned are closely spaced.

[0003] The object of the invention is to create a cleaning device for the effective cleaning of the surface of solar panels, photovoltaic systems, glass roofs, facades or other smooth surfaces with extended application possibilities.

[0004] This problem is solved by a cleaning device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

[0005] The cleaning device according to the invention comprises a cleaning unit, e.g. designed as a brush unit, a support and positioning device with a boom arm pivotable about a horizontal first transverse axis and a support arm pivotably arranged on the boom arm for positioning the cleaning unit, as well as a load balancing device arranged on the support and positioning device for adjusting and automatically regulating the contact pressure exerted by the cleaning unit on the surface to be cleaned. The support arm is pivotable by an actuator about a second transverse axis parallel to the first transverse axis between a parked position folded back onto the boom arm above the boom arm and an extended cleaning position. The support and positioning device described above allows the cleaning unit to be moved within an extended adjustment range, between a cleaning position further away from the drive unit and a cleaning position located close to it. This enables the cleaning device to be moved even on narrow paths between rows of photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned, and allows the cleaning unit to be positioned across the entire surface of the photovoltaic and solar panels in a single pass. Furthermore, the cleaning unit can be folded back into a resting position, resulting in a compact and space-saving design.

[0006] In a practical design, the second actuator is a rotary actuator with a gearbox and a drive motor. This allows the support arm to be moved stably and with a large adjustment range.

[0007] In a further advantageous embodiment, the support and positioning device has an integrated power supply for providing drive energy to the rotary drive, the first actuator, and the second actuator. This allows the cleaning device, together with the power supply unit, the support and positioning device, and the attached cleaning unit, to be used independently and, for example, simply placed on the loading platform of a pickup truck or other transport vehicle without additional connections or special preparations. The vehicle does not need to meet any special requirements. This makes the cleaning device flexible and cost-effective to use.

[0008] The rotary drive and actuators can be designed as hydraulic drives. In this case, the power supply unit can conveniently include an internal combustion engine and a hydraulic pump to supply the rotary drive and actuators with pressurized fluid. Alternatively, the rotary drive and actuators can also be designed as electric drives. In this case, the power supply unit can be a battery or accumulator.

[0009] In a further advantageous embodiment, the support and positioning device includes a support structure in which a cleaning fluid reservoir is housed. This integrates the cleaning fluid reservoir into the support and positioning device. The cleaning fluid reservoir can be designed as a water tank.

[0010] In a further advantageous embodiment, the support and positioning device can include an integrated drive system. This allows the cleaning device to be steered or moved remotely. The drive system can be a chain drive with tracks and a hydraulic or electric drive motor. Alternatively, it can be a wheel drive or similar.

[0011] The drive system, designed as a chain drive with guide chains, allows the distance between the guide chains to be adjusted by an actuator. When the drive system is retracted, the cleaning device can be moved even in narrow aisles between the rows of photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned. When extended, the drive system provides a stable and tip-proof base. This allows the guide chains to be moved under the support structures of the photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned, even in narrow aisles.

[0012] The actuator for changing the distance between the tracks can be formed by actuator cylinders and front and rear horizontal arms. The parallel front and rear horizontal arms can be connected to a central support via an inner joint and to the track carrier via an outer joint.

[0013] In a preferred embodiment, the cleaning unit can be designed as a brush unit with a central drive arranged at the front free end of the support arm and two cleaning brushes projecting towards both sides of the central drive and driven simultaneously by the central drive.

[0014] In its simplest form, the load balancing device comprises a leveling cylinder positioned between the support column and the boom arm, and a pressure accumulator associated with the leveling cylinder. The pressure accumulator is designed as a pressure vessel, partially pressurized with hydraulic fluid and partially with air or another gaseous medium. The contact pressure can be adjusted using a hand pump. By connecting the pressure accumulator to the leveling cylinder, load balancing and leveling can be achieved. Alternatively, load balancing can also be accomplished by appropriate hydraulic actuation of a single actuator cylinder. For example, the control pressure during the cleaning process can be monitored and regulated by a pressure sensor. If the vehicle, for example,When the cleaning unit travels over uneven ground and the control pressure changes as a result, a readjustment can be made so that the contact pressure exerted by the cleaning unit on the surface to be cleaned can be kept constant.

[0015] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment with reference to the drawing. The drawing shows: Fig. 1 a cleaning device according to the invention in a parked position; Fig. 2 the cleaning device of Fig. 1 in a cleaning position; Fig. 3 the cleaning device of Fig. 1 with a positioning device in a first position; Fig. 4 the cleaning device of Fig. 1 with a positioning device in a second position; Fig. 5 a top view of a drive mechanism of a cleaning device in a retracted state and Fig. 6 a top view of the drive system of Fig. 5 in a spread-out state.

[0016] In the Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows a cleaning device 1 for cleaning the surface of solar panels, photovoltaic systems, glass roofs, facades, or other smooth surfaces in a parked position and a cleaning position. The cleaning device 1, designed here as a self-contained unit, comprises a cleaning unit 2, designed here as a motor-driven cleaning brush, which can be positioned above the surface to be cleaned, and a support and positioning device 3 for holding and positioning the cleaning unit 2.

[0017] The support and positioning device 3 comprises a support structure 4 and a support column 7 rotatably arranged on the support structure 4 about a vertical axis 5 and rotatable by means of a rotary drive 6, at the upper end of which a cantilever arm 8 extends via a Fig. 2. The upper connecting part 9 is pivotally mounted about a first transverse axis 10 and adjustable by means of a first actuator 11. In the illustrated embodiment, the rotary drive 6 is designed as a hydraulic rotary drive with a gearbox 12 and a first hydraulic actuator 13. The first actuator 11, which serves to adjust the inclination of the boom arm 8, is designed in the illustrated embodiment as a hydraulic actuating cylinder, which is arranged between a lower connecting part 14 at the lower end of the support column 7 and the boom arm 8 and supports the boom arm 8 against the support column 7.

[0018] The support and positioning device 3 also includes a support arm 15, which is pivotably connected to the front end of the boom arm 8 about a second transverse axis 16 parallel to the first transverse axis 10 and is actuated by a second actuator 17 between a Fig. 1 shown in the folded-back rest position above the boom arm 8 and one in Fig. The cleaning unit 2, located at the front end of the support arm 15, can be pivoted in the unfolded cleaning position shown in Figure 2. The second actuator 17 for pivoting the support arm 15 is, in the illustrated embodiment, designed as a hydraulic rotary actuator with a gearbox 18 and a second hydraulic actuator 19. By appropriately controlling the rotary actuator 6 and the two actuators 11 and 17, the cleaning unit 2, located at the front end of the support arm 15, can be pivoted to the side and positioned between a Fig. The cleaning unit 2 can be moved to the parking position shown above the boom arm 8 and to an unfolded cleaning position with a suitable inclination.

[0019] In Fig. Figure 1 shows that a hydraulically actuated leveling cylinder 20 is arranged between the lower connection part 14 at the lower end of the support column 7 and the boom arm 8. The leveling cylinder 20, together with a pressure accumulator 21 (designed here as a bladder accumulator), forms a load balancing device for adjusting and automatically regulating the contact pressure exerted by the cleaning unit 2 on the surface to be cleaned. The pressure accumulator 21 is designed as a pressure vessel that is partially pressurized with hydraulic fluid and partially with air or another gaseous medium. The pressure in the pressure accumulator can be adjusted using a hand pump (not shown). The connection between the pressure accumulator 21 and the leveling cylinder 20 enables load balancing and level regulation.

[0020] The load balancing device allows the pressure exerted by the cleaning unit 2 on the surface to be cleaned not only to be set to a desired value, but also to be maintained even when the cleaning device 1 encounters uneven ground as it moves along the solar modules being cleaned. The boom arm 8 automatically adjusts itself via the load balancing device, thus leveling the surface and keeping the contact pressure of the cleaning unit 2 constant, regardless of any unevenness in the ground. This prevents damage to the surfaces being cleaned.

[0021] In the illustrated embodiment, the cleaning unit 2 is designed as a brush unit with a central drive 22 arranged at the front free end of the support arm 15 and two cleaning brushes 23 and 24 projecting from the central drive 22 and driven simultaneously by the central drive 22. The central drive 22 is a hydraulic drive with a hydraulic motor and a bevel gear. The two cleaning brushes 23 and 24, which are rotatable about their longitudinal axis, can be arranged on separate support tubes or on a common support tube. A spray device (not shown in detail) for applying a cleaning fluid can also be attached to the support tube.

[0022] The support structure 4 comprises a frame formed from vertical supports 25, crossbeams 26, and inclined struts 27, on which the positioning device 3 with the support tube 7, the boom arm 8, and the support arm 15 is arranged. A cleaning fluid reservoir 28 is housed within the frame. In addition to the integrated cleaning fluid reservoir 28, the support structure 4 has an integrated power supply unit 29 for supplying the various drives of the cleaning device 1.

[0023] In the illustrated embodiment, the support structure 4 also includes a drive unit 30, by which the cleaning device 1 can be moved either manually or remotely. In the illustrated embodiment, the drive unit 30 is designed as a chain drive with chains 31 and hydraulic or electric drive motors 32. The chains 31 are guided circumferentially on two parallel chain carriers 33 and can each be driven by a drive motor 32. The drive unit 30 can also be designed as a wheel drive. In the illustrated embodiment, the integrated power supply 29 is designed as a hydraulic power unit with an internal combustion engine 34 and a hydraulic pump 35 for supplying the hydraulic actuators 5, 11, and 17 and the hydraulic drive motor 32 with pressurized fluid. The integrated power supply 29 can also be a battery if the actuators and the drive mechanism are electric. Furthermore, the support structure 3 can also be designed without a drive mechanism 30. In that case, the cleaning device 1 can, for example, be mounted as a self-contained unit on the loading platform of a pickup truck or similar vehicle.

[0024] As from the Fig. 3 and Fig. As can be seen from Figure 4, the cleaning unit 2 can be moved by the carrying and positioning device 3 described above between a cleaning position further away from the drive unit 30 according to Fig. 3 and a cleaning position located close to the drive unit 30 according to Fig. 4 can be moved. In the case of a situation opposite the Fig. 3 and Fig. With the support structure 4 and the drive unit 30 rotated by 90°, the cleaning device 1 can thus move even on narrow paths between the rows of photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned, and the cleaning unit 2 can be positioned over the entire surface of the photovoltaic and solar panels for cleaning in a single pass. Furthermore, the cleaning unit 2 can be folded back into a parked position, resulting in a compact and space-saving design.

[0025] At the in Fig. The supporting structure 4 shown in the drawing can accommodate a seat for an operator (not shown in the drawing). The cleaning device 1 can thus be moved and operated by the operator between the rows of solar panels. Alternatively, the cleaning device can also be operated remotely via a suitable remote control without an operator present.

[0026] In the Fig. 5 and Fig. Figure 6 shows a special drive unit 30 for moving the cleaning device 1 between the rows of photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned. This drive unit 30 is also designed as a chain drive with tracks 31 on two spaced-apart parallel track carriers 33. The two tracks 31 can be driven by hydraulic or electric drive motors 32. In this drive unit 30, the distance between the tracks 31 can also be changed via an actuator. For this purpose, the same components are used in Figure 6. Fig. In this embodiment, the track carrier 33 shown in Figure 1 is pivotally connected to a central support 38 via a parallel swing arm arrangement, each with two parallel front and rear swing arms 36 and 37. Each track carrier 35 is pivotally connected to the central support 38 via two parallel front and rear horizontal swing arms 36 and 37, respectively. The swing arms 36 and 37 are articulated to the central support 38 via an inner joint 39 and to the track carrier 33 via an outer joint 40. The track carriers 33, along with the track chains 31, can be moved between a... Fig. 5 shown collapsed state and one in Fig.The extended position shown in Figure 6 can be adjusted. The distance between the tracks 31 can be changed via the actuator formed by the actuating cylinders 42 and the swing arms 36 and 37. In the retracted position, the cleaning device 1 can thus be moved even in narrow aisles between the rows of photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned. In the extended position, the chassis provides a stable and tip-proof base. The tracks 31 can thus be moved under the supporting structures of the photovoltaic and solar panels to be cleaned, even in narrower aisles, and moved underneath them for cleaning.
