Abstract
Description
Technical FieldThe present application relates to the technical field of electrical connections, in particular a connector.Prior ArtA connector is a common electronic component that enables the transmission of current and / or signals by contacting connection terminals. The connector typically includes a male terminal and a female terminal in which respective terminals are provided. A plug connection between the male terminal and the female terminal connects or disconnects the terminals of the male and female terminals to one another, in order to thus enable or disable the transmission of current and / or signals.Currently, in existing connectors capable of complete short-circuiting, the female terminal is formed by a riveting process, resulting in limited compatibility for short-term currents. As a result, a voltage circuit and a circuit of the entire connector cannot withstand the effects of a high short-term current (high short-term current of 500 A / 1 s). There is now an urgent need for a new connector structure for operating conditions with high short-term currents.Content of the InventionAn object of the present application is to provide a connector in which a voltage circuit and a circuit can withstand operating conditions with high short-term currents. In order to achieve this object, the following technical solutions are used in the present application:A connector is provided comprising:a first housing, wherein a disconnection portion is disposed in the first housing; two male terminals, the two male terminals being embedded in the first housing, the male terminals each comprising a connection plate and a plug pin connected to the connection plate, one end of the connection plate being for connection to an external line; two female terminals, the female terminals each being formed integrally and each comprising a socket portion and an elastic portion formed integrally, the plug pin being selectively insertable into the socket portion, wherein when the plug pin is inserted into the socket portion, the disconnection portion is sandwiched between the two elastic portions so that a voltage circuit is closed, and wherein when the plug pin is disconnected from the socket portion, the two elastic portions abut each other so that a circuit is closed. As an optional possibility for the connector, it is provided that the elastic section is U-shaped and the elastic section is provided with a curvature at its free end, wherein the curvatures of the two elastic sections abut each other during the closed circuit. As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that on a side of the elastic section on which the bulge is arranged, the free end of the elastic section is inclined towards the socket section. As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that the female terminal further comprises a connecting portion, wherein the connecting portion serves for connection to an external line.As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that a rivet hole is formed in the connecting plate, wherein the plug pin is riveted into the rivet hole.As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that the plug pin is connected to the connecting plate by welding. As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that a short-circuiting hole is formed in the connecting plate, wherein a bridging element can be inserted into the two short-circuiting holes in each case in order to short-circuit the voltage circuit. As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that the connector further comprises a second housing, wherein the two female terminals are embedded in the second housing. As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that both the first housing and the second housing consist of flame-retardant insulating material. As an optional possibility of the connector, it is provided that the female terminal is formed by punching.Advantageous Effects:In the present application, the first housing serves to provide an installation space for the two male terminals. One end of the connection plate is electrically connected to an external line. By selectively mating the male terminal and the female terminal portion, the male terminal and the female terminal are connected to and disconnected from each other. In the electrical connection of the two male terminals to the two female terminals, in particular, the two elastic sections of the female terminals are separated from one another by the separating section, so that the entire voltage circuit is closed. In addition, the terms "first", "second", etc. are used only for distinction in the description without giving any special meaning. As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, this embodiment relates to a connector comprising a first housing 1, two male terminals 2 and two female terminals 3. A separating portion 11 is arranged in the first housing 1. The two male terminals 2 are embedded in the first housing 1. The male terminals 2 each include a connection plate 21 and a male pin 22 connected to the connection plate 21. One end of the connection plate 21 is for connection to an external line. The female terminals 3 each include a socket portion 31 and an elastic portion 32, the socket portion 31 and the elastic portion 32 are integrally formed, and the male pin 22 is selectively insertable into the socket portion 31. When the male pin 22 is inserted into the female portion 31, the separating portion 11 is sandwiched between the two elastic portions 32, so that a voltage circuit is closed. When the male pin 22 is detached from the female portion 31, the two elastic portions 32 abut each other, so that a circuit is closed. Here, the socket portion 31 may take a round or a flat hole shape depending on the actual situation. In this embodiment, the first housing 1 serves to provide an installation space for the two male terminals 2. One end of the connection plate 21 is electrically connected to an external line via a bending mechanism. By selectively mating the male terminal 22 and the female terminal portion 31, the male terminal 2 and the female terminal 3 are connected to and disconnected from each other. In the electrical connection of the two male terminals 2 to the two female terminals 3, in particular, the two elastic portions 32 of the female terminals 3 are separated from one another by the separating portion 11, so that the entire voltage circuit is closed. After the two male terminals 2 and the two female terminals 3 are separated from each other, the two elastic portions 32 abut each other without separation and under elastic action, so that the circuit is closed. For the female terminal in existing connectors, a separate rivet structure is used which does not withstand high short-term currents of 500 A / 1 s at rivet locations, but can only be used for operating conditions with short-term currents of 180 A / 1 s. In this embodiment, the female terminal 3 is integrally formed, so that the resistance in the circuits is effectively reduced and the compatibility for short-term currents is improved. Moreover, the voltage circuit and the circuit are capable of withstanding the striking action of high short-term currents of 500 A / 1 s.The bushing section 31 is hollow-cylindrical and a plurality of grooves are arranged at a distance from one another on the circumference of the bushing section 31, which grooves facilitate deformation. This ensures some resiliency of the socket portion 31, thereby facilitating reliable contact with the male pin 22. The male pin 22 is formed cylindrically and can be fitted to an inner diameter of the female portion 31. When inserted into the socket portion 31, it may form a reliable structure with an inner wall of the socket portion 31 to ensure the stability of the electrical connection of the connector. In this embodiment, the female terminal 3 is integrally formed from a sheet metal, particularly by a one-piece sheet metal punching process, which saves costs and at the same time reduces the difficulty of forming. As shown in FIG. 4, the elastic portion 32 is optionally U-shaped. It is understood that due to the U-shaped structure, a protrusion of the elastic portion 32 extends downward and bends, and the elastic portion 32 is provided with a bulge 321. In the U-shaped structure, the elasticity of the bulge 321 is again increased by increasing the interval of the elastic portion 32. And, in the closed circuit, the bulges 321 of the two elastic portions 32 abut each other. The U-shaped elastic portion 32 has two straight arms and an arc segment. A straight arm thereof is projectingly provided with the bulge 321 on an outward facing surface. The bulge 321 may be partially spherical. When the two elastic portions 32 abut each other, the circuit is closed and the two bulges 321 can completely contact each other in an opposed manner, thereby effectively improving the stability of the closed circuit by the elasticity of the elastic portion 32 itself. In this embodiment, the male terminal 2 is made of pure copper, while the female terminal 3 is made of a copper alloy having high electrical conductivity, whereby a certain economy is achieved with simultaneously high current capacity.Optionally, it is provided that on a side of the elastic section 32 on which the bulge 321 is arranged, the free end of the elastic section is inclined in the direction of the bushing section 31.In this embodiment, the free ends of the closely spaced support arms of the two elastic portions 32 are inclined toward the socket portion 31 to form a V-shaped structure. In the closed circuit of tension, this facilitates the smooth insertion of the separating portion 11 between the two elastic portions 32 along an opening of the V-shaped structure, to adapt to the assembling of parts of low precision and to avoid the risk of jamming.Optionally, it is provided that the female terminal 3 further comprises a connecting portion 33, wherein the connecting portion 33 serves for connection to an external line. Specifically, the connecting portion 33, the bushing portion 31, and the elastic portion 32 are integrally formed. In this embodiment, the resistance of the female terminal 3 can be effectively reduced and the current capacity of the entire female terminal 3 can be improved by integrally forming the connection portion 33, the socket portion 31 and the elastic portion 32. Moreover, the female terminal 3 is formed by integral punching, which is advantageous for the structural strength and cost control of the entire female terminal 3.As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a rivet hole 211 is optionally disposed in the connection plate 21, the plug pin 22 is riveted into the rivet hole 211, and the plug pin 22 is connected to the connection plate 21 by welding. One end of the plug pin 22 is inserted into the rivet hole 211, and thus is connected to the connection plate 21 by riveting. At the same time, at the joint with the connection plate 21, the male pin 22 and the connection plate 21 are further connected to each other by welding, so that the resistance of the entire male terminal 2 is effectively reduced and the current capacity of the male terminal 2 is improved.Optionally, it is provided that a short-circuit hole 212 is formed in the connecting plate 21, wherein a bridging element can be inserted into the two short-circuit holes 212 in each case in order to short-circuit the voltage circuit. In this embodiment, the bridging member is formed in a bridge shape and includes an outer insulating member and an inner metal member, the metal member is made of a copper alloy, and both the insulating member and the metal member can be formed by one-piece injection molding. By means of the bridging element, circuits of two connections can be interconnected. In particular, a short-circuiting hole 212 is provided in the connecting plate 21, which is suitable for the insertion of the bridging element. When a circuit is to be short-circuited, the bridging element is inserted directly, thereby permitting easy and convenient handling.Optionally, it is provided that the connector further comprises a second housing 4, wherein the two female terminals 3 are embedded in the second housing 4, and that both the first housing 1 and the second housing 4 consist of flame-retardant insulating material. In this embodiment, the second housing 4 provides a receiving space for the two female terminals 3, and both the first housing 1 and the second housing 4 are made of flame retardant insulating material, whereby insulation breakdown strength and safety of the connector can be improved. In other embodiments, based on this embodiment, multiple connectors may be arranged in parallel to adapt to the multiple circle operating conditions. Adaptively, the bridging element can be matched to multiple connectors and formed as a one-piece structure to short multiple connectors with a single mating operation.Obviously, the above-described embodiments of the present application are only examples for clearly illustrating the present application and are not intended to limit the embodiments of the present application. One of ordinary skill in the art can make various obvious changes, modifications, and substitutions without departing from the scope of the present application. It would not be necessary or possible here to list all embodiments in an exhaustive manner. All modifications, equivalent substitutions and advancements that fall within the scope of the spirit and principle of the application are intended to be included within the scope of the claims of the application.
