AI Technical Summary
Existing methods for connecting thread ends on large weaving looms are time-consuming and expensive when dealing with non-knottable materials due to mechanical limitations.
A thermoplastic shrink tube is used to create a fixed, knot-free connection between thread ends by enveloping them, with a fixing device having a diameter-adapted design and a nozzle for injecting plastic to form a secure bond.
Enables quick and easy connection of non-knottable materials, facilitating their movement into the loom without knots, reducing time and cost.

Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a fixed, permanent connection between two thread ends, yarn ends, or cord ends, such as those that arise today, for example, when changing the warp beam on large looms and must be joined for further processing. The warp threads, warp yarns, or warp cords are knotted to the old, unwoven warp on a new, fully wound warp beam and thus pulled through the entire loom, the heddle eyes, and through the reed to the cloth beam. For suitable textile materials, the knotting is performed mechanically by so-called knotting or tying machines, as described in DE 35 43 536 C1 and WO 208 / 04137 A1.
[0002] However, if knotting is not possible mechanically due to the size or stiffness of the materials to be processed, the warp threads, warp yarns or warp cords must be threaded into the loom by hand by two operators, which is very time-consuming and costly.
[0003] Therefore, the object of the invention was to quickly and easily connect all non-knottable materials that are to be further processed using plastic, so that they can be easily pulled into a loom.
[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention according to claim 1 in that two opposite thread ends, yarn ends or cord ends are each covered by means of a thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic or a so-called shrink tube, which leads to a firm, indetachable connection between two opposite thread, yarn or cord ends.
[0005] In order to place the sheath in a controlled and precise manner, it is necessary that the ends to be connected are fixed in a fixing device 4 adapted to the diameter.
[0006] In addition, it is necessary for the fixing device 4 to have a cover which has a so-called sprue hole 5 through which the liquid plastic can be poured or injected in order to create the covering and thus the knot-free connection of the thread, yarn or cord ends.
[0007] An advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the diameter-adapted fixing device 4 has a diameter-adapted enlargement space 6 in the area of the ends 1 to be connected and the sprue bore 5.
[0008] Below, various embodiments of the inventive concept are explained in more detail in various illustrations. It shows: Fig. 1 a perspective view of an inventive knot-free connection of two opposite textile thread ends 1, yarn ends 1 or cord ends 1 by means of plastic 3 with diameter enlargement 9. Fig. 2 a view of a knot-free connection of two textile yarn ends 1 by means of plastic 3 without an increase in diameter 9 between two textile yarn ends 1 . Fig. 3 a view of a knot-free connection of two textile yarn ends 1 by means of plastic 3 with a diameter enlargement 9 between two textile yarn ends 1. Fig. 4 a fixing device 4 with diameter enlargement space 6. The fixing device 4 enables two textile thread ends 1, yarns 1 or cords 1 to be fixed opposite one another with exact dimensions. Fig. 5 a perspective view of an inventive knot-free connection of two opposite textile thread ends 1, yarn ends 1 or cord ends by means of shrink tubing 10 made of plastic.
