Abstract
Description
[0001] Sorting household waste in German kitchens (and many European kitchens) has been state-of-the-art for many years. This can also be easily achieved for residual and packaging waste using plastic bags that are placed in suitable, possibly box-shaped or round, plastic containers and then pulled over the edge.
[0002] For organic waste, there are bags made of biodegradable plastic that can, in principle, be easily secured in and to the plastic container. However, waste disposal companies prohibit such materials because their compostability is not sufficiently guaranteed and the plastic-based residues cause problems for waste disposal companies. Therefore, paper organic waste bags are now recommended, and these are also available in every supermarket.
[0003] The problem, however, is that paper bags, as is well known, are not tear-resistant, nor do they possess the flexibility and elasticity that plastic bags do. Therefore, these paper bags cannot be pulled over the top of the garbage bin like elastic and tear-resistant plastic bags, ensuring a tight seal between the bin and the garbage bag. This means that when organic waste is placed in the paper garbage bag every day, the bin regularly becomes dirty next to the loosely fitting paper bag, and must be cleaned every time the full garbage bag is removed.
[0004] The task was therefore to design a simple device that could secure the paper waste bag to the top of the container in such a way that no organic waste gets between the container and the paper bag when filling it. Furthermore, the task was to design this simple device so that the full organic waste bag can be easily removed from the container and the device can be reused when inserting the new bag.
Claims
[1] Inner frame for fixing paper waste bags in waste containers characterized by that a commercially available organic waste bag made of paper, which is inserted into a container, which may be box-shaped or round, is reversibly fixed to the upper inner edge of the container with the aid of a frame, which may be rectangular or round and may be made of plastic, wood or metal, in such a way that no contamination gets between the container and the organic waste paper bag when organic waste is added. [2] Inner frame according to claim 1, characterized by that the rectangular or round frame, if applicable, can be easily and reversibly removed to remove the filled organic waste bag and that the rectangular or round frame, if applicable, can be reused. [3] Inner frame according to one of the preceding claims characterized bythat the rectangular or round frame is designed to be so thin and delicate, preferably with a thickness of 0.3 to 1 cm, that on the one hand it fulfils the mechanical task of pressing the organic waste paper bag against the inner edge of the container and on the other hand does not hinder the filling of the organic waste into the paper bag and may become heavily soiled in the process.
