Description

[0001] A variety of “devices for releasing scents over forest and agricultural areas to keep game away and prevent game damage” are known.

[0002] All of these devices consist of perforated hollow bodies filled with an absorbent mass for the fragrance to be distributed.

[0003] The disadvantage of these devices is that they can only absorb a very small amount of fragrance in the evaporator elements, meaning that a single filling only releases fragrance for a few weeks. Then, to continue releasing fragrance, the diffuser or the fragrance storage element (fragrance reservoir) must be replaced or refilled.

[0004] In the great outdoors, in confusing terrain and when scenting a large area, this means a lot of effort to locate the scenters and refill them.

[0005] Reducing the refill intervals to at least 1 year represents a very significant practical and economic advantage.

[0006] The device according to the invention is a fragrance variant capable of ensuring consistent fragrance for at least a year. This is achieved by providing a large reservoir for the fragrance, from which the fragrance liquid is connected via a wick-like connection to the external fragrance release reservoir. Due to the capillary action, which counteracts gravity, the fragrance is continuously transported from the reservoir into the fragrance release reservoir, where it is released into the ambient air.

[0007] This process depends on the nature of the liquid fragrance, the volume of the storage container, the capillary action of the connecting wick and the size of the fragrance release reservoir.

[0008] If these are optimally coordinated, a scenting period of at least one year can be achieved. However, the scenting must also be strong enough to be perceived by wildlife over a large area and disturb them, causing them to avoid the scented area and thus prevent damage by grazing, raking, or barking.

[0009] This can be done easily by filling the fragrance storage container from above through the connecting wick, as the connecting wick has a tubular inner opening.

[0010] The solution to the problem of the invention results from the features of claim 1 in conjunction with the features of the preamble. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

[0011] The inventive concept of the invention is to achieve long-term fragrance retention of at least one calendar year or one growing season, thus minimizing the time-consuming refilling within short intervals of a few weeks to at least one calendar year. The decisive factor for this is that the added fragrance liquid 4 / 11 is drawn from the fragrance reservoir 1 via a wick-like connection 3 into the fragrance release reservoir 2, which is provided with a suction filling 9, by a capillary action 6 that counteracts gravity.

[0012] The fragrance release 8 may then only be as large as the fragrance liquid 4 / 11 that can be transported from the storage container 1 and the quantity in the storage container 1 is then sufficient for a period of at least one year.

[0013] The advantage of the entire device is the interconnected constellation of the three essential components such as the storage container 1 with content 4, the wick 3 transporting the fragrance 4 / 11 and the fragrance release reservoir 2 with the suction filling 9 to form a compact unit 1 / 2 / 3

[0014] The simple and quick initial or refilling 11 of the fragrance storage container 1 with the storage mass 4 takes place from above through the connecting wick 3, which has a tubular inner opening 10 that ends continuously in the storage container 1.

[0015] The storage tank 1 has a void 5 which provides atmospheric compensation.

[0016] In addition to the description, sketch 1 illustrates the structure of the long-term diffuser.

Claims

[1] Device for releasing fragrances in the open air, characterized by that the long-term fragrancer 1 / 2 / 3 consists of a storage container 1, a wick connector 3 and the fragrance release reservoir 2, which are all connected to one another and are coordinated so that the fragrance storage quantity 4 from the storage container 1 is directed by capillary action 6 / 7 via the wick connector 3 into the suction filling 9 for fragrance release 8, and so a fragrance release 8 of at least one entire growing season or one calendar year is achieved. [2] Device according to claim 1 characterized by that all components from the fragrance storage container 1, via the capillary fragrance transport 6 / 7 through the wick connector 3 to the fragrance release reservoir 2 are connected to form a compact unit 1 / 2 / 3 and an empty space 5 in the storage container 1 ensures atmospheric compensation. [3] Device according to claim 1 and 2 characterized bythat the fragrance transport 6 / 7 from the fragrance storage container 1 into the fragrance release storage 2 and the storage mass 9 is carried out in such a controlled manner by capillary action 6 / 7 through the connecting wick 3 that the long-term fragrance release 8 takes place over a period of at least one year. [4] Device according to one of the preceding claims characterized by that the fragrance release 8 from the fragrance release reservoir 9 is only as large as the filled fragrance 4 / 11 can be replenished via the capillary action 6 / 7 and is sufficient to continuously maintain the desired fragrance 8 on the agricultural or forest area to be protected for at least one year. [5] Device according to one of the preceding claims characterized by that the filling 4 / 11 takes place from above directly into the fragrance storage container 1 through the connecting wick 3 and the tubular inner opening 10.
