Description

[0001] The present utility model relates to a device and an arrangement comprising two or more such devices for fastening skis to bicycle carriers which are equipped with profile rails suitable for fastening the adapters. They comprise essentially U-shaped frames (2) with two parallel and spaced-apart legs (21) which are connected in a lower end region (22) by a web (23) running transversely to the legs, and at least one clamping unit (3) which is or can be detachably connected to the legs (21) and has a clamping means which can be reversibly actuated between a displacement state in which the clamping unit (3) is displaceable along the legs (21) and a clamping state in which the clamping unit (31) is clamped to at least one of the legs (21), in particular to both legs (21), wherein the device (1) has a fastening device (4) at the lower end (22) of the frame (2), by means of which it can be fastened to the concave upper side of the profile rail of the bicycle carrier (9).

[0002] The Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B show a first preferred embodiment of the fastening adapter according to the invention in a partially cut-away front view ( Fig. 1A) and a side view ( Fig. 1B). The fastening adapter 1 then comprises the frame 2 formed from the two legs 21, which are connected in the region 22 by the web 23, shown here in section, which runs transversely, or more precisely vertically, between the legs 21. The particularly stressed connection point is reinforced by stiffening elements 24 with a triangular cross-section. In this embodiment, the frame 2 is shown assembled from separate parts 21, 23, 24, which may be wooden or metal parts, or both. However, a one-piece frame can easily be used, in which all elements form an integrally connected unit. In such a case, especially if the frame 2 is made of metal of sufficient thickness, particularly the web (more than 3 mm for steel, more than 5 mm for aluminum), the stiffening elements 24 may be omitted under certain circumstances.

[0003] In the center of the web 23, at the bottom of the countersunk hole 230, is the through-hole 231 through which the fastening screw 41 is inserted. Its screw head 411 is completely received in the countersunk hole 230, so that it does not protrude above the top of the web 23 and thus does not hinder the clamping of objects. The fastening screw 41 also passes through the through-hole 70 in the profile rail 7, to which the device according to the invention is attached on top, and is counter-tightened on the underside of the profile rail 7 with the fastening nut 413. A washer, which is also generally recommended, is not shown here for the sake of simplicity. The fastening screw 41 is preferably, as shown here, a carriage bolt with a lock section 412, which has a square cross-section and is thus secured against rotation in a complementarily shaped and dimensioned upper section of the through-opening 231. The inner sides of the frame leg extensions 42 abut the outer sides of the edge sections 71 of the profile rail 7 for (additional) lateral fixing of the device 1, whereby the device 1 thus encompasses the profile rail 7 on both sides.

[0004] The clamping units 3 are used to clamp objects. Fig.1, there are two clamping units 3, a lower clamping unit 3b and an upper or top clamping unit 3a, each of which comprises a rectangular clamping frame 30 formed from the two long sides 32 and the end faces 31 connecting them. The end faces 31 of the clamping frame 30 are each formed by a clamping screw 33, which here, like the fastening screw 41, is designed as a carriage bolt, the respective lock section 332 of which is received in a complementary part of the through-hole in the respective end of the long sides 32 of the clamping frame 30. At the end of the clamping screws 33 opposite the screw head 331 there is a clamping nut 34, which, as shown, can be a hexagon nut or a wing nut or another relevant type of nut. When the nuts 34 are tightened, the longitudinal sides 32 are pressed against the outer sides of the frame legs 42 and thus clamped. If one or both clamping nuts 34 of a clamping unit 3 are loosened, it can be moved again along the frame legs, for example, to insert an object to be clamped or to adjust the position of the clamping unit 3 to the height of the object(s).

[0005] The (short) object 7 is between the lower clamping unit 3b and the web 23. The two long objects 8 arranged side by side, which may be, for example, a pair of skis, are clamped between the lower clamping unit 3b and the uppermost clamping unit 3a. The short object 7 can possibly already be sufficiently fastened to the profile rail 7 with a fastening device 1. For the pair of elongated objects 8, however, it may be necessary to add another fastening device and thereby create an arrangement according to the invention. The objects 7 and 8 are held centrally between the frame legs 21 by the recesses 320 in the clamping frame longitudinal sides 32, which serve as a positioning aid. To avoid damage to the objects when clamped with the clamping units, the longitudinal sides 32 can be made of a reasonably soft and flexible material, such as wood.If they are made of a harder material, such as a metal, such as an aluminum alloy or steel, the recesses 320 or the upper and lower surfaces of the longitudinal sides 32 as a whole can be coated with a flexible material, such as rubber or another elastomeric material or (soft) wood.

Claims
