Abstract
Description
[0001] The manoeuvrable and stackable (using an attached angle steel frame) log storage box is a welded square steel tube frame that is open at the top, front and back, with four stanchions (4) on the right and left and four raised welded stanchion cross members (5) that allow for fork tines (7) to pick it up, and the square steel tubes (6) that are welded at ground level lengthwise below the stanchion cross members within the four stanchions on the right and left, form the finished log storage box with a firewood stacking volume of 0.5 cubic meters.
[0002] The maneuverable and stackable log storage box is designed for end users of log boilers and is designed to simplify the time required, handling and storage of firewood logs. One-meter-long firewood logs are predominantly stored in bundles or stacked piles on properties.
[0003] Since there are no maneuverable and stackable containers with a volume of 0.5 cubic meters in this type and form of construction in accordance with claim 1 with the specified width (1), the problem is that the oven-ready use in most cases requires cutting into approximately 0.5m long firewood logs, which then have to be picked up and stacked several times, which is very time-consuming overall, until they can finally be fed into the log boiler.
[0004] This problem is solved with the manoeuvrable and stackable log storage box developed here in claim 1, in that the 1m long firewood logs stored on the property are now picked up once and stacked in the log storage box up to the upper edge of the lateral square tube stanchions (stanchions).
[0005] The firewood logs are then secured using tensioning straps between the first and second side stanchions as well as the third and fourth side stanchions.
[0006] If it is necessary to cut the firewood to 0.5m long, a cut protection plate made of multi-layer wood can be inserted below the stake cross members up to the middle of the box length.
[0007] A chainsaw can then be used to make a cut in the middle between the second and third stanchions, on the right and left sides, which separates the 1m long firewood logs into 0.5m long logs. The tensioning straps must then be retightened, and the filled log storage box can now be transported to its destination near the log boiler using a forklift or front loader. Once parked at the destination, an angle steel frame could then be attached to create the basis for stacking two log storage boxes on top of each other.
[0008] The two stacked log storage boxes, as described in claim 1, could now be transported directly to the log boiler by hand pallet truck through standard door frames, provided they are at ground level, thus providing a firewood stack volume of 1.0 cubic meter. The log boiler can now be loaded directly from the log storage boxes.
[0009] This way you save yourself from having to pick up and stack firewood multiple times and secondly the time required is reduced to an absolute minimum!
[0010] The empty log storage boxes can also be stacked multiple times inside each other, as an empty log storage box only weighs around 31kg, until they are needed again when required.
