Description

[0001] Illuminated acrylic sign for the automotive sector. This 3-layer acrylic sign is displayed at car shows, tuning meets, etc. instead of a standard license plate. (Not approved for road use) It serves as an advertising purpose for a company or private individual with their addresses on social media or websites. The sign is made of 3 acrylic layers. The sign has cutouts for battery-powered LED elements, allowing it to be read in the dark. This is not possible with metal signs. The first acrylic plate is mirror-imaged using a CO2 laser. Various mounting options are available: Velcro fastening, magnetic fastening, and for quick-release license plate holders. The center section has 4 recesses so that the clips for the quick-release license plate holders can snap into place.

[0002] The size of the sign is flexible, customizable and manufacturable. 3 layers:

[0003] The front layer is made of clear SMM acrylic, the back is mirror-inverted with a CO2 laser. Two cutouts for battery-powered LED lights are provided. Holes for screw connections are provided. The lettering is the part that primarily glows in the dark due to light refraction and appears white in the bright white.

[0004] Middle layer: 3mm clear acrylic, 2 recesses for quick-release car mounts. Holes for screw connections. 2 cutouts for LED battery lights. The middle layer prevents the lettering on the front layer from touching the back layer. A slight 3D effect is visible.

[0005] Rear layer: 3mm acrylic in various colors, opaque. Holes for screw connections. How did I come up with the idea:

[0006] At an event in the evening, I noticed that the widely used metal signs with printed logos were no longer visible. They serve no purpose here.

[0007] According to my research, there are currently only colorful metal license plates for this type of advertising. Description of the drawings Drawing 1 Front made of transparent acrylic, engraving on the back, 6 holes for screwing, 2 recesses for lamps Drawing 2: Center section made of transparent acrylic, 6 holes for screwing, 2 recesses for light bulbs. 4 sides with recesses for quick-release car mounts. Drawing 3 Back made of colored acrylic, not transparent, 6 holes for screwing. Drawing 4 Top view of mounted sign Drawing 5 Side view with commercially available quick holders and screw connections
