Abstract
Description
[0001] Bicycle carriers are generally permanently attached frames, preferably made of rods or injection-molded. Because these frames are designed for compact bags, boxes, baskets, or packages, they often have large gaps between the supporting bars or bars.
[0002] The main feature of this invention is to close these gaps with horizontal and stable carrying plates and to prevent unsuitable luggage (e.g. backpacks or bag straps) from getting caught in the front wheel.
[0003] The support plates [A] in Fig. ) to 4) are mounted horizontally between the bars of a load carrier / luggage rack located at the front of the bicycle and thus prevent the described non-adapted luggage (e.g. backpacks or bag straps) from getting caught in the wheel.
[0004] In contrast to basket or crate systems, oversized items and unsuitable luggage (which does not fit into basket or crate systems because it is too large) can be safely secured flat on the load carrier / luggage rack.
[0005] The carrying plates are connected to each other via fastening straps or stainless steel cable ties [B] and can be easily and simply mounted as an accessory to existing bicycle carrier / luggage rack systems. They are designed to remain permanently mounted on the carrier / luggage rack.
[0006] The carrying plates have recesses [C] in the front area so that luggage can be additionally secured with tensioning straps. These recesses [C] prevent the tensioning straps from slipping on long tube systems.
[0007] Depending on the load carrier / luggage carrier, there are different variants depending on the manufacturer, here in Fig. ) with 3 carrying plates, in Fig. ) with 6 carrying plates, in Fig. ) with 5 carrying plates and in Fig. ) with 2 support plates.
[0008] For environmental reasons, the carrying plates can be made from sustainable material (e.g. robinia wood) or the fastening straps from natural rubber latex, so that the natural rubber latex prevents the luggage to be transported from slipping and, in addition, natural disposal of the carrying plate system is possible.
Claims
[1] The horizontal and stable carrying plates are attached directly to the support frame of an existing load carrier / luggage rack located at the front of a bicycle. The recesses for tensioning straps are located directly in the support plates and prevent the tensioning straps from slipping on long pipe systems.
