Abstract

Holder for bathroom styling devices characterized in that at least one rotatably mounted cylindrical cable reel with integrated socket (2) is installed in the housing (1) and this has a lateral cable passage (3) to the integrated grooves / cable guide (4) which enables the winding of a power cable (7).

Description

[0001] The bathroom contains various corded devices with high power consumption (e.g., hairdryer, straightener, curling irons) that, to date, cannot be conveniently operated with batteries. These devices are difficult to store, are constantly wound and unwound, damaging the cables, and can fall to the floor.

[0002] Most bathroom appliance storage systems currently available on the market only offer a mounting solution, but no power supply or automatic cable retraction. This means that plugging and unplugging, as well as manual cable management, is necessary. Systems with or with extendable sockets don't offer the desired advantage either.

[0003] A holder for bathroom styling tools is therefore proposed, which serves as storage for several devices and provides them with a constant power supply (similar to a power strip). Additionally, the cables of the styling tools are completely stored in the holder, can be extended to the required length when in use, and are automatically retracted back into the holder after use.

[0004] The invention is structured as follows: The housing of the holder contains at least one cylindrical cable reel with an integrated socket connection. The plugged-in power cable is guided through a cable opening to the grooves / cable guide into which the entire power cable of the bathroom styling device can be wound.

[0005] At the other end, the cable reel is mounted on a rotating bearing and fitted with a slip ring to supply power to the reel.

[0006] A spring (e.g., a drum spring) is located on the side of the roller; this spring is tensioned when the cable is unwound, providing the necessary restoring force for winding.

[0007] An application example of the invention looks like this: The proposed holder can accommodate, for example, a hairdryer. This doesn't require a separate power outlet, as its power cord is already integrated into the holder, wound onto the cord reel and supplied with power through it. To use the hairdryer, simply remove it from the holder.

[0008] After use, the hairdryer is simply placed back in its holder. The cable doesn't dangle loosely or lie on the floor, but is automatically retracted into the hairdryer's housing. This way, the cable disappears inside the holder, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance in the bathroom.

[0009] Thanks to this holder, users no longer have to laboriously wind up the cable or make sure it's not in the way, and in the bathroom it provides comfort, safety and order. Claims

[1] Holder for bathroom styling tools characterized by , that at least one rotatably mounted cylindrical cable reel with integrated socket (2) is installed in the housing (1) and that this has a lateral cable passage (3) to the integrated grooves / cable guide (4) which enables the winding of a power cable (7). [2] Holder for bathroom styling devices according to claim 1 is characterized by , that a slip ring (6) is attached to the upper end of the cable reel (2), which thus enables a constant power supply during winding and unwinding. [3] Holder for bathroom styling tools characterized by , that a spring (5) is positioned at the upper end of the cable reel (2) and acts as a restoring force against the direction of extension.
