Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a hand-held float / felt board for working plaster, filler, fine plaster surfaces, and joint mortar, equipped with a circumferential LED strip for generating grazing light. The aim of the invention is to improve visual inspection during surface processing in order to detect and correct unevenness directly during the work process. The following features of the invention are illustrated below. Fig. 1.
[0002] The rubbing / felting board consists of a base made of plastic or a comparable lightweight material. At least one LED strip (1) is attached along the outer vertical edge, emitting light laterally and casting a directed grazing light onto the surface being worked. This allows the user to immediately identify unevenness through the resulting shadows.
[0003] Power is supplied via a battery unit (2) integrated into the handle, which may be rechargeable. The handle also includes an on / off switch (3) and a charging port (4), for example, a USB-C port. The handle is ergonomically designed so that the balance and handling of the tool are not affected.
[0004] The working surface (5) – e.g., felt, sponge, or foam rubber – is replaceable and connected to the base body via a reversible connection system such as hook and loop fasteners or a click mechanism. The surface extends slightly beyond the outer edge to allow work close to the edge without hard components coming into contact with the wall.
[0005] The shape, size, or color of the rubbing / felt board is not essential to its functionality. The invention can be implemented in various commercially available formats and designs without affecting its patentability. The crucial element is the combination of LED grazing light technology, an integrated power system, and the arrangement along the outer edge for grazing light utilization.
[0006] The invention enables high-quality processing of visible surfaces with high demands on flatness and surface finish by generating grazing light directly at the tool. It is suitable for both professional use and ambitious DIY enthusiasts.
Claims
[1] Hand-held rubbing / felting board with circumferential, battery / rechargeable battery-operated LED grazing light, with a base body for receiving a working surface (e.g. sponge / rubber surface), characterized by , that at least one LED strip (1) is attached along the outer vertical edge of the base body, which is oriented in such a way that a directed grazing light is produced on the processed surface during use. [2] Rubbing / felting board according to claim 1, characterized by , that the LED strip (1) is battery-operated and the power supply is provided via a battery unit (2) integrated in the handle. [3] Rubbing / felting board according to claim 2, characterized by , that an on / off switch (3) and a charging port (4) - e.g. USB-C - are integrated in the area of the handle. [4] Rubbing / felting board according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by, that the work surface (5) is attached via a reversible connection system (e.g. Velcro or click mechanism).
