Description

[0001] The invention relates to a cassette-shaped device for mounting on building facades and planting. It is a wall-mounted system – there is no floor connection, and the plants are embedded directly into the facade and supplied from there.

[0002] The only known solutions in the state of the art are those that make revision, such as partial disassembly, cleaning, plant replacement, etc., difficult. In many cases, the complexity of existing solutions is very high.

[0003] Furthermore, existing solutions often have the disadvantage of either causing waterlogging or, conversely, causing rainwater or irrigation water to flow too quickly through the facade greening. This is particularly common with older, less absorbent planting substrate.

[0004] Known solutions can be found, for example, in DE102010024555B4, CN110924574A, or CN110306702A. Curtain protection facades as such are also described (CN113062507A).

[0005] None of the documents allows for easy revision, while maintaining sufficient stability and the ability to retain water while simultaneously preventing waterlogging. Furthermore, in many cases, sufficient wind stability is lacking.

[0006] The object of the invention is to provide a solution that overcomes these disadvantages.

[0007] The problem is solved by the features of the independent patent claims. Preferred embodiments are described in the dependent subclaims.

[0008] The subject of the invention is a plant cassette for greening facades of buildings, comprising: a) an inner shell for fastening parallel to a building façade, with a flat part (which runs parallel to the building façade), with a left and a right end wall projecting from the flat part of the inner shell towards an outer side B, b) these end walls each have at least two hooks pointing away from the flat part towards the outside B (i.e. projecting forwards and pointing away from the building) and upwards (in the direction of C), c) an outer shell with perforations for the passage of the hooks and for hanging the outer shell in these hooks, d) the outer shell has round or rectangular planting holes of at least 50 mm in diameter or at least 50 mm in length on both edges, e) the inner and outer shells are made of metal, f) wherein the inner shell has in the lower half a pointed indentation pointing forwards in the direction of the outer side B (that is in the direction of the suspended outer shell), wherein the indentation comprises an upper run and a lower run with a reversal point in between (viewed in cross-section) - in the sense of a V-shaped bead running over the entire width.

[0009] The terms "left" and "right" refer to the view of the planting cassette when attached to the building façade, i.e., viewed from the outside, standing upright in front of the building. For example, the end walls run vertically from top to bottom, projecting vertically from the façade. They are thus arranged vertically on the left and right. Any existing partition walls (from preferred embodiments below) also run in this manner and are attached to the flat part of the inner shell parallel to the outer walls (i.e., between the left and right outer walls).

[0010] "Inner shell" within the meaning of the invention is the "flat part" described above, with the end walls on the left and right edges of the flat part and the adjacent recess. The flat part is flat and should run parallel to the building façade when installed on the building.

[0011] The "inner shell" (when viewed in the state mounted on the building façade) runs from top to bottom, initially parallel to the building façade, then merges into the upper section, and runs forward (away from the façade) toward the suspended outer shell until a reversal point (or reversal edge, between the upper and lower sections). From this reversal point, it runs back toward the building façade and preferably continues for a certain distance (downward) parallel to the building façade in the plane, as described above – for example, 3.5 cm±10% or ±5%.

[0012] The outer facade is hung into the hooks of the end walls using the “perforations”.

[0013] The “indentation” according to the invention, comprising the upper and lower reaches, has recognizably (in a transverse view, as in Fig. 1) an approximate V-shape, forming an angle with a cavity (along the course upper course--> turning point--> lower course).

[0014] The recess is sensibly formed in one piece with the flat part of the inner shell (i.e. it can be produced simply by bending the metal of the inner shell).

[0015] Regarding the material, the left and right end walls are also made of metal.

[0016] The "planting holes" can be arranged in rows (parallel to the uppermost edge of the outer shell / reference symbol 2e). These vertical rows are spaced, for example, preferably 10.5 cm (±20%) apart, with a spacing of 13.2 cm (±20%) within the rows being appropriate.

[0017] In the case of round planting holes and their diameter (according to the formula for the circular area), the area of these planting holes is calculated to be at least 19.63 cm 2 large.

[0018] In the case of rectangular planting holes, each edge of the rectangle is at least 50 mm or 5 cm in size. Square planting holes can also be used, where both edges are the same size. In any case, the area is at least 25 cm. 2 large. Advantages

[0019] The planting cassette according to the invention can be filled with planting substrate, for example, in the space between the inner cassette and the attached outer cassette. The recess ensures that water can slowly flow from one planting cassette to the next one below without causing waterlogging. At the same time, however, the recess serves to retain some of the water.

[0020] The planting cassette comprises an inner and outer shell. These are filled with planting substrate. The outer and inner shells are connected, and can then be planted and pre-cultivated. The finished (assembled) and pre-cultivated cassettes can then be installed on a system / standard substructure on the building as a curtain and ventilated facade. The revisable outer shell then allows the substrate to be selectively and specifically replaced during maintenance and care, and replanted if necessary, without removing the inner shell from the facade composite, i.e., without dismantling it. The curtain wall itself remains "closed," the insulation is protected, and rear ventilation is always guaranteed.

[0021] With the invention, a revision is therefore easily possible by removing and re-hanging the outer shell via the perforations in the hooks.

[0022] The plant cassette is also non-flammable.

[0023] The invention enables installation on building facades from bottom to top - already fully assembled as a plant cassette, i.e. with the outer shell hooked into the inner shell. First, a lower plant cassette can be screwed to the building facade at the upper end of the flat part of the inner shell (1st screw) and then a second plant cassette is screwed with the lower end of its inner shell (i.e. the area below its underflow) to this aforementioned lower plant cassette and the building facade (2nd screw) in such a way that the lower and second (upper) inner shell overlap. The first screw is then located above the second. Before the plant cassettes are screwed together, they are already fully assembled and planted.

[0024] Furthermore, using pre-cultivated plants, a planting density of >70 plants / m 2can be achieved, so that the facades are already green with the installation. Preferred embodiments

[0025] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the width of the flat part of the inner shell (left-right) is 158.7 cm and the height (measured in the CD direction) is 66.4 cm (measured from the upper edge (reference numeral 2e) to the beginning of the indentation (reference numeral 3)) (each ±20% or only ±10% or ±5%). Overall, the inner shell preferably has a height (extension in the CD direction) from its upper edge (reference numeral 2e) to the lowest end) of 74.0 cm (with the same relative range limits).

[0026] However, the width can be adjusted to suit the building's geometry. Even smaller widths, from 50 cm to larger widths, such as 600 cm, are possible.

[0027] Preferably, the distance between the left and right end walls also corresponds to this width. It can therefore also be 158.7 cm (±20% or ±10, even ±5%) – measured on the outer surfaces.

[0028] The planting holes are preferably circular, and the diameter is particularly preferably 59 cm, particularly preferably 7 cm (±10%). It is advantageous if these planting holes have such a large diameter, as they allow pre-cultivated plants to be planted. At the same time, the planting cassette according to the invention is sufficiently wind-resistant despite these relatively large holes.

[0029] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer shell has at least two securing holes spaced from the uppermost edge (in the case of a peripheral edge, the top edge, i.e., the edge before the peripheral edge begins). The distance from the upper edge can be selected by a person skilled in the art.

[0030] Preferably, the planting cassette is made of an alloy selected from AlMg1 (magnesium content 0.7-1.1 wt.%) and AlMg3 (magnesium content 2.6-3.6 wt.%).

[0031] In a likewise preferred embodiment, the indentation forms a gap of at least 1 mm from the suspended outer shell where it tapers to a point (i.e. at the reversal point), through which water can flow via the upper flow into further plant cassettes located below the plant cassette.

[0032] The gap is preferably 1mm-1cm, particularly preferably 1mm-5mm or even just 1-3mm.

[0033] It is particularly preferred in this embodiment if it is combined as follows, namely so that in the plant cassette according to the invention the indentation extends over the entire width, between the left and right end walls of the inner shell and forms a bead which forms a reversal edge at the reversal point, and wherein (as previously mentioned) where it tapers to a point (i.e. at the turning point or turning edge) it forms a gap of at least 1 mm from the suspended outer shell, through which water can flow via the upper course (3a) into further plant cassettes located below the plant cassette.

[0034] In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one vertically projecting partition wall is attached to the inner shell, which also has at least two hooks projecting forward (away from the building) and extending upwards (as are present on the end walls) and is arranged parallel to the left and right end walls. The partition wall is particularly preferably welded to the inner shell. Several partition walls can also be provided. It is sensible to arrange the perforations of the outer shell for the hooks of this partition wall(s) in rows in the spaces between the planting holes, as in Fig. 2. Particularly preferably, there are two such partition walls and / or there are four hooks per partition wall or per end wall, as in the embodiment in Fig. 2 shown.

[0035] The advantage of this design is increased stability between the inner and outer shells. In extreme wind conditions, both the outer and inner shells are less likely to vibrate.

[0036] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer shell has a circumferential outer shell edge at the top (C), bottom (D), right, and left, which points toward the inner shell and protrudes at an angle of substantially 90°. This refers to the angle between this edge and the outer shell surface (which is the largest of the outer shell's surfaces).

[0037] "Substantially 90°" means, for example, according to a preferred embodiment: the upper edge has an angle of 85° between the edge and the surface, and the lower edge has an angle of 95° between the edge and the surface – so that, viewed in cross-section, both edges run parallel to each other and point slightly downwards. Advantageously, water can flow between the inner shell and the outer shell from one planting cassette into the interior of another planting cassette located below, such as in Fig. 1 recognizable.

[0038] It is particularly advantageous if the lower edge of an outer shell is wider (i.e. extends further towards the inner shell) than the upper edge (of an outer shell), as also shown in Fig. 1. More precise dimensions are described in the versions below, all of which can be combined with each other.

[0039] For example, in this design with a surrounding edge, it is particularly advantageous if the outer shell has a width of 2 cm at its upper edge and 3.5 cm at its lower edge, all values with range limits of ±10% or ±5% at the front only. Here, too, "upper edge" refers to the upper part of the surrounding edge, i.e., the part that is present at the upper end in direction C when the planting cassette is assembled. These widths are measured from the edge to the end of the edge.

[0040] Preferably, the left and right margins each have a width of 2.5 cm (±10%, or even only ±5%).

[0041] Also particularly preferred in these embodiments with a peripheral edge and angle of substantially 90° is when all angles are set as follows: the angle at the upper edge of the outer shell at 85°, at the lower edge of the outer shell at 95°, at the left and right edges at 90% each, all values with range limits of ±5%, or ±4%.

[0042] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the inner shell has an inner shell edge at the top (direction C) that protrudes perpendicularly from the flat part and protrudes in the direction of the inventive indentation. This inner shell edge is expediently located only at the upper end of the inner shell. Particularly preferably, the inner shell edge is 2.5 cm wide (±20% or even only ±10% or even ±5%) (i.e., it protrudes 2.5 cm) and runs along the entire width at the upper edge of the flat part of the inner shell. The advantage of the inner shell edge is greater stability of the inner shell.

[0043] In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the underflow has at least two irrigation holes through which water can flow—for example, water from a water hose that can be routed between the upper and lower reaches in the V-shaped cavity. The irrigation holes can also be so small that the water can only seep through slowly. Advantageously, the water can flow through these irrigation holes from an additional irrigation system using such a hose from one plant cassette (comprising inner shell and outer shell) into the next plant cassette below (with inner shell and outer shell). This makes it easy to water in addition to the water supplied from above on the building façade during particularly dry periods.A combination with the inner shell edge mentioned above is particularly advantageous, as this prevents such a water hose from slipping down from the V-shaped cavity towards wall side A between the planting cassette and the building facade.

[0044] In a likewise preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper and lower reaches (at the reversal point or the reversal edge of the indentation) form an angle of 27° ±10% (preferably ±5% or even only ±2%) (this is the acute angle of the above-mentioned V-cavity, as in Fig. 1 recognizable), and / or The flat part of the inner shell and the upper section form an angle of 120° ±20% (preferably ±10% or even just ±5%). A combination of both options is also advantageous.

[0045] These angles have proven to be particularly advantageous in achieving sufficient stability of the recess for holding plant substrate and at the same time good water drainage capacity.

[0046] It is also preferred in the invention if the length of the upper reach is 9.5 cm ±20%, or even only within the range limits ±10%, preferably only ±5% - measured along the upper reach itself. The combination with the embodiment mentioned above with a gap of at least 1 mm is particularly preferred.

[0047] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the angle spanned by the lower reaches and the part of the inner shell located below is 87° ±12% (preferably only ±6%). This "underlying part of the inner shell" preferably runs in the plane of the flat part of the inner shell, but at least parallel to it. The range boundaries here can also be ±10% or even only ±5%. The advantage of this embodiment is that water flowing over the upper reaches can drain off more easily at the reversal point.

[0048] It is preferred in the invention if, in the suspended state (outer shell suspended in the hooks of the inner shell), the distance between the inner shell and outer shell (i.e., their flat parts), measured on the outer sides, is 8.6 cm ±20%, preferably only ±10% or only ±5% (i.e., measured without hooks). In this embodiment, the left and right end walls (and any partition walls present) are also clearly similarly wide, namely preferably 8.8 cm wide (i.e., measured perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the partition walls (i.e., measured in the CD direction). The hooks present on the end walls (or partition walls) are not included here.

[0049] The relative range limits are always ±20%, preferably only ±10% or only ±5%.

[0050] In a likewise preferred embodiment of the invention • the upper edge of the inner shell has a width of 2.5 cm ±5%, and / or • the left and right end walls have a width of 9.0 cm ±20% (including the width of the hooks, in terms of the maximum extension, i.e. the depth when mounted) - (preferably also in the range of only ±10% or even only ±5%).

[0051] In these variants of the design, the inner shell preferably has no protruding edge at the bottom (in the assembled state, this is direction D), but rather the inner shell ends with a section that runs parallel to the flat part. The advantage of these variants is good protection against the weather while simultaneously providing sufficient ventilation.

[0052] In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the perforations of the outer shell are rectangular and have a width of 0.3 cm and a height of 2.3 cm, each within a range of ±20% (or only ±10% or ±5%). The height clearly relates to the CD orientation (top-bottom), while the width relates to the left-right orientation. These dimensions have proven particularly suitable for weatherproofing the outer shell. Inspection, i.e., removing the outer shells from the inner shells mounted on the building, is easy. At the same time, the pressure exerted on the outer shell by the plants or the plant substrate cannot cause the outer shells to fall off on their own.

[0053] It is particularly useful for the invention if the hooks protrude a total of 6-10 mm from the end walls (preferably 8-10 mm). The part of the hook intended for hanging is 3-6 mm wide. The hook forms a U attached to the side of the end walls, whereby the distance between the two U-legs can be 3-4 mm. The U extends 20 mm along the length of the end wall (CD direction in Fig. 4), ±10% or only ±5%.

[0054] In another preferred embodiment, the indentation protrudes 8.2 cm ±5% from the planar part of the inner shell, measured perpendicular to the planar part of the inner shell.

[0055] Preferably, however, the underflow protrudes only 8.0 cm ±5% from this flat part of the inner shell, when measured along the underflow.

[0056] In a preferred embodiment, the gap is 0.4 cm (±20%, or even ±10%, preferably only ±5%). However, the dimensions of the upper and lower reaches can also be selected so that the gap has a size of, for example, 0.1-1 cm, 0.2-0.5 cm, or even 0.35-0.45 cm. Fig. Figure 1 shows (partially) a cross-section along a building façade when using the planting cassette according to the invention. The right side shows wall side A (building façade) and the left side B, which faces away from the façade. The left and right end walls 1b are not shown here. Due to the cross-section, only the upper and lower parts of the surrounding outer shell edge 2f of this design are shown (on two outer shells 2 arranged one above the other).
