Snail repellent device with galvanic conductors

Abstract

Barrier to repel snails from vegetable beds, particularly lettuce beds, comprising two parallel conductor tracks made of metals occupying widely different positions on the electrochemical series, particularly copper and lead, to delimit the area to be protected.

Claims

[1] Barrier to repel snails from vegetable beds, especially lettuce beds, which has two parallel conductor tracks made of metals that occupy widely different positions on the electrochemical series, especially copper and lead, to delimit the area to be protected. [2] Barrier for repelling snails according to claim 1, characterized by that the barrier consists of a hard plastic film on which the conductor tracks are applied. [3] Barrier for repelling snails according to at least one of claims 1 and 2, characterized by that the barrier has protruding strips at regular intervals which can be pressed into the ground as anchors in order to erect the barrier vertically. [4] Barrier for repelling snails according to at least one of claims 1 to 3, characterized by that several barrier elements can be joined together in a form-fitting manner. [5] Barrier for repelling snails according to claim 4, characterized by that the pieces are joined together using snap fasteners.
