Abstract

Nail or screw holder, characterized in that it consists of a resilient, horseshoe-shaped bent belt (1) having rigid jaws (2) at the ends, the parallel inner walls of which are provided with guide grooves (3) for holding the nails or screws, the outer walls of the jaws (2) being provided with stiffening and protective ribs (4).

Description

The invention relates to a device for holding nails before they are driven in or screws before they are screwed in.The known devices intended to hold nails in the required position before they are driven have the form of pliers. The pliers jaws are designed to position the nails perpendicular to the surface into which they are to be driven. The known nail holders have the disadvantage that they consist of several parts which are to be produced individually and subsequently assembled. This is evident from the costs of obtaining the known nail holders. The known nail holders require a relatively large distance of the hand from the tuck, which makes positioning of the nail difficult.The invention is based on the object of constructing a cost-effective, user-friendly one-piece nail or screw holder.This object is achieved according to the invention in that the nail or screw holder consists of a resilient belt bent in the manner of a horseshoe, which has stiff pliers jaws at the ends, the parallel inner walls of which are provided with guide grooves for holding the nails or screws. The outer walls of the pliers jaws are provided with stiffening and protective ribs. It is advantageous to produce this nail or screw holder as a molded part from plastic material.The nail or screw holder shown in Figs. 1 to 4 was made as a molded part of plastic. It is formed by a resilient belt 1 bent in the manner of a horseshoe, which has stiff pliers jaws 2 at the ends, the inner walls of which are parallel. The inner walls are provided with parallel cylinder-like guide grooves 3 for holding the nails or screws, the diameter of which is stepped. The pliers jaws 2 are provided on the outer walls with stiffening and protective ribs 4.Before the nail or screw is adjusted to the desired position, these are clamped by the pliers jaws 2 between the guide grooves 3 of congruent diameter and are consequently pushed with the holder into the desired position. The user can grasp the holder between thumb and index finger, namely advantageously in the region of the forceps jaws, i.e. under the stiffening and protective ribs. The stiffening and protection ribs protect the user's fingers from impact of the hammer or injury by a screwdriver.

A nail or screw holder, characterized in that it consists of a resilient belt (1) bent in the manner of a horseshoe, which has stiff pliers jaws (2) at the ends, the parallel inner walls of which are provided with guide grooves (3) for holding the nails or screws, wherein outer walls of the pliers jaws (2) are provided with stiffening and protective ribs (4).Nail or screw holder according to claim 1, characterised in that it is made as a moulded part from plastics material.
