Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a bicycle axle luggage carrier kit comprising a wheel axle and a luggage carrier, wherein the luggage carrier can be attached to the wheel axle.

[0002] The bicycle is an excellent means of transportation, used primarily for commuting and recreational purposes. Unlike other common modes of transport that have storage space (such as a trunk on motorcycles or cars), the bicycle does not offer its own storage compartment. Therefore, carrying goods or luggage is less convenient. To address this issue, it is very common to attach luggage racks to the bicycle frame, onto which goods or luggage can be placed.

[0003] There are many types of bicycle racks to meet the needs of different users. For example, a rear rack is located at the back of a bicycle, usually positioned above the rear wheel, and is used to carry larger and heavier items such as suitcases or school bags. A front rack is located at the front of a bicycle, positioned in front of the fork, and is typically used to carry smaller and lighter items such as loose goods, canned drinks, tools, and so on.

[0004] Since luggage racks are not strictly necessary for the operation of a bicycle, bicycle manufacturers generally do not include mounting holes or structures for them during production. Therefore, when attaching a luggage rack to their bicycle, whether a front or rear rack, consumers must drill holes in the appropriate location, depending on the frame shape, to facilitate installation. However, drilling holes in the frame is undoubtedly an irreversible modification that causes permanent damage to the appearance. If the luggage rack is later removed and no longer needed, the holes will remain visible after disassembly, detracting from the bike's appearance. Alternatively, if the original holes cannot be used due to a change in the luggage rack's shape, new holes must be drilled.

[0005] In light of the above, it is clear that the problem with currently available bicycle racks on the market is that drilling into the bicycle frame is required for mounting. Therefore, there is an urgent need to address this shortcoming in order to provide consumers with a better user experience with bicycle racks.

[0006] To overcome the aforementioned problems of conventional products, the present invention provides a kit comprising a luggage carrier and a wheel axle. The wheel axle conforms to the common standard dimensions of commercially available bicycles. Although the wheel axle according to the invention conforms to the standard dimensions, it features a structure not found in conventional designs, namely connecting holes at both ends. In the present invention, each support section of the luggage carrier is provided with a through-hole that is aligned with the corresponding connecting hole. Thus, after acquiring the present invention, the consumer only needs to remove the original wheel axle of a bicycle and replace it with the wheel axle according to the invention. The connecting elements can then be inserted through the through-holes in the corresponding support sections of the luggage carrier and the corresponding connecting holes in the wheel axle. In this way, the luggage carrier according to the invention can be easily attached to the bicycle without the need to drill holes in the bicycle frame. Compared to conventional bicycle luggage carriers, which require drilling holes in the frame for mounting, the present invention effectively solves the aforementioned problem and provides the consumer with a better user experience. Accordingly, the present invention exhibits novelty and inventive step.

[0007] To solve the above problems, the present invention provides a bicycle axle luggage carrier kit comprising: a luggage carrier having a storage section, wherein two sides of the storage section are each connected to a support section and each support section has a through-hole at its end furthest from the storage section; a wheel axle having a connecting hole at each of its two ends; and several connecting elements, each movably passing through the through-holes of the corresponding support sections and the corresponding connecting holes of the wheel axle.

[0008] Furthermore, the connecting holes each have a thread and the multiple connecting elements each have the form of screws with threads.

[0009] Furthermore, the storage section has an L-shaped form. Fig. Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view according to the present invention. Fig. Figure 2 shows a schematic exploded view according to the present invention. Fig. Figure 3 shows a schematic sectional view along section line III-III according to Fig. 1. Fig. Figure 4 shows a schematic representation of the present invention applied to a rear wheel of a bicycle. Fig. Figure 5 shows a schematic sectional view along section line IV-IV according to Fig. 4. Fig. Figure 6 shows a schematic representation of the present invention applied to a front wheel of a bicycle.

[0010] For a better understanding of the implementation of the present invention, reference is made to the drawings. Reference is made to the Fig. Reference is made to references 1 to 3. The present invention provides a bicycle axle luggage carrier kit comprising the following: a luggage carrier 1 having a storage section 11, wherein two sides of the storage section 11 are each connected to a support section 12 and each support section 12 has a through-hole 121 at its end furthest from the storage section 11; a wheel axle 2 having a connecting hole 21 at each of its two ends; and several connecting elements 3, each movably passing through the through-holes 121 of the corresponding support sections 12 and the corresponding connecting holes 21 of the wheel axle 2.

[0011] The implementation of the invention is described in detail below. To overcome the aforementioned problems of conventional products, the present invention provides a kit comprising a luggage carrier 1 and a wheel axle 2. The wheel axle 2 corresponds to the common standard dimensions of commercially available bicycles 100. Although the wheel axle 2 according to the invention conforms to the standard dimensions, it has a structure not found in conventional designs, namely connecting holes 21 at both ends. In the present invention, each support section 12 of the luggage carrier 1 is provided with a through-hole 121 that is aligned with the corresponding connecting hole 21. Thus, after acquiring the present invention, the consumer only needs to remove the original wheel axle of a bicycle 100 and replace it with the wheel axle 2 according to the invention (as shown in the Fig. 4 and Fig. Figure 5 shows that in the present embodiment, the invention is arranged on the rear wheel of the bicycle 100; depending on the configuration of the luggage carrier 1, the invention can also be arranged on the front wheel of the bicycle 100. The connecting elements 3 can then be passed through the through holes 121 of the corresponding support sections 12 of the luggage carrier and the corresponding connecting holes 21 of the wheel axle 2. In this way, the luggage carrier according to the invention can be easily attached to the bicycle 100 without the need to drill holes in the frame of the bicycle 100. Compared to conventional bicycle luggage carriers, which require drilling holes in the frame for mounting, the present invention effectively solves the aforementioned problem and provides the user with a better user experience with the bicycle luggage carrier.Accordingly, the present invention exhibits novelty and inventive step.

[0012] Furthermore, it can be seen from the above that the wheel axle 2 according to the invention, due to its standard dimensions, can be inserted into the bicycle 100 without having to modify the original frame structure of the bicycle 100. Thus, the wheel axle 2 according to the invention can be used as a replacement for the original wheel axle to enable the subsequent mounting of the luggage carrier 1 according to the invention. Consequently, despite the novelty and inventive step achieved, the present invention retains compatibility with existing products and thus represents a significant breakthrough in the bicycle luggage carrier industry.

[0013] Furthermore, the design of the connecting holes 21 and connecting elements 3 is described in the present embodiment to demonstrate the feasibility of the present invention. The connecting holes 21 each have a thread, and the multiple connecting elements 3 each have the form of threaded screws. The design of the connecting holes 21 and connecting elements 3 shown in the present embodiment serves to better illustrate the feasibility of the present invention but is not limited to it. In practice, equivalent structural elements can be used, such as expansion anchors, dowel pins, or the like, depending on the requirements of the designer or user.

[0014] As in Fig.Figure 6 shows an embodiment of the present invention which is applied to the front wheel of a bicycle 100, wherein the storage section 11 has an L-shaped form.
