Description

Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to a moisture-absorbing device, in particular a moisture-absorbing device for a lamp. State of the art

[0002] During the installation of a light fixture, excessive humidity, for example due to rain or other factors, can cause moisture to penetrate the fixture and condense on the translucent parts. This impairs the optical performance and reduces the lifespan of the light fixture. Previously, the light fixture housing was often covered with a breathable fabric to equalize internal and external pressure and allow moisture to escape.

[0003] However, since the moisture permeability of the breathable fabric is limited, moisture accumulation inside the light fixture cannot be effectively prevented. Condensation easily occurs under lighting conditions or temperature changes, which reduces light quality and can lead to internal electronic components becoming damp and impairing reliability.

[0004] Therefore, it is necessary to provide a novel and advanced moisture-absorbing device for the light fixture in order to solve the aforementioned problems. Object of the invention

[0005] The object of the invention is to provide a moisture-absorbing device for a luminaire that can be mounted in a luminaire and has the function of ventilation and moisture absorption.

[0006] This problem is solved by the moisture-absorbing device for a luminaire, comprising: a main body having a bottom wall, a side wall and a receiving chamber, wherein the bottom wall and the side wall form the receiving chamber, the receiving chamber having an opening, wherein in the receiving chamber of the main body a projecting section extends from the bottom wall to the opening, the projecting section being provided with a ventilation bore that penetrates the main body and having an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening that are connected to each other; a moisture absorption unit in powder form that is filled into the receiving chamber; a first air-permeable membrane that removably closes the opening of the receiving chamber; and a second air-permeable membrane that removably closes the air outlet opening of the ventilation bore. Ways to implement the invention

[0007] The following embodiments serve only to illustrate the possible implementation of this invention and are not intended to limit its scope. The term "one" or "at least one" before the nouns mentioned in the article does not restrict the quantity. A "plural" is also possible, as needed. Changes to this number are also within the scope of protection of the invention.

[0008] Fig. Figures 1 to 11 show an embodiment of the invention. The moisture-absorbing device 1 for a luminaire of the invention comprises: a main body 10, a moisture absorption unit 20, a first air-permeable membrane 30 and a second air-permeable membrane 40.

[0009] The main body 10 has a bottom wall 11, a side wall 12, and a receiving chamber 13. The bottom wall 11 and the side wall 12 form the receiving chamber 13. The receiving chamber 13 has an opening 14. Within the receiving chamber 13 of the main body 10, a projecting section 15 extends from the bottom wall 11 to the opening 14. The projecting section 15 is provided with a ventilation bore 16 that penetrates the main body 10 and has an air inlet opening 161 and an air outlet opening 162, which are connected to each other. The moisture absorption unit 20 is in powder form and is filled into the receiving chamber 13. In the present embodiment, the moisture absorption unit 20 contains silicone gel, aluminosilicate, calcium chloride (CaCl₂), magnesium chloride (MgCl₂), a moisture-absorbing polymer resin, or any combination of these substances. The first air-permeable membrane 30 removably closes the opening 14 of the receiving chamber 13.The second air-permeable membrane 40 removably closes the air outlet opening 162 of the ventilation bore 16.

[0010] This allows the moisture absorption unit 20 to be installed in a luminaire 200 to effectively absorb moisture generated inside the luminaire 200 and prevent condensation on the internal walls or optical components. Simultaneously, it facilitates convection and heat exchange between the air inside the luminaire and the outside air, thus not only keeping the luminaire 200 dry but also promoting heat dissipation. Furthermore, the subsequent replacement of the moisture absorption unit 20, the first air-permeable membrane 30, or the second air-permeable membrane 40 is simplified, making the moisture-absorbing device 1 reusable and thus offering convenience and environmental protection. The moisture absorption unit 20 also provides a large absorption surface and excellent moisture absorption performance.

[0011] In the present embodiment, the first air-permeable membrane 30 adheres to the main body 10. The main body 10 forms a recess 17 around the air outlet opening 162. The second air-permeable membrane 40 is arranged in the recess 17 and adheres to the main body 10. More precisely, the first air-permeable membrane 30 and the second air-permeable membrane 40 are each provided with an adhesive layer 94 for bonding to the main body 10. The adhesive layer 94 can consist of a high-tack adhesive. For example, the adhesive layer 94 can be an applied or bonded pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) that provides a strong bond and is removable. This ensures that the first air-permeable membrane 30 and the second air-permeable membrane 40 are firmly attached to the main body 10 and can be easily removed from the main body if necessary. Therefore, the subsequent replacement of the moisture absorption unit 20, the first air-permeable membrane 30 or the second air-permeable membrane 40 is facilitated, so that the moisture-absorbing device 1 is reusable.

[0012] Preferably, the thickness of the second air-permeable membrane 40 is less than the depth of the recess 17, thereby forming a gap between the second air-permeable membrane 40 and the opening of the recess 17 to reduce the risk of detachment due to an external force.

[0013] The diameter of the pores 32 of the first air-permeable membrane 30 is larger than that of an air molecule but smaller than that of a liquid molecule. The particle size of the powder particle 21 is larger than the diameter of the pores 32. In the present embodiment, the diameter of the pores 32 of the first air-permeable membrane 30 is less than 100.00 µm (micrometers). Therefore, the first air-permeable membrane 30 is moisture-permeable but simultaneously waterproof, preventing the ingress of water. It also prevents the moisture absorption unit 20 from falling out of the receiving chamber 13.

[0014] The first air-permeable membrane 30 is provided with a through-hole 31 corresponding to the air inlet opening 161. The diameter of the through-hole 31 is greater than or equal to half the radius of the air inlet opening 161 to ensure that the airflow can be smoothly introduced and expelled, thus increasing the efficiency of heat dissipation and accelerating moisture removal.

[0015] Preferably, the side wall 12 consists of a large-diameter section 90, a small-diameter section 91, and a shoulder 92 between the two sections. The opening 14 is located in the small-diameter section 91. The first air-permeable membrane 30 is bonded to the small-diameter section 91. The outer diameter of the first air-permeable membrane 30 is larger than that of the small-diameter section 91, creating a gap 93 between the first air-permeable membrane 30 and the shoulder 92. This gap 93 provides space for the user's fingers or tools, thus facilitating the removal of the first air-permeable membrane 30.

[0016] A reinforcing rib 50 extends radially from the outer wall of the projecting section 15. This reinforcing rib 50 is connected to the main body 10. Preferably, the reinforcing rib 50 is connected to the bottom wall 11 and the side wall 12 to increase structural strength, giving the receiving chamber 13 a C-shape and allowing for large-area filling with the moisture absorber unit 20. The first air-permeable membrane 30 has a slot 33 extending radially outward from the through-hole 31. The slot 33 corresponds to the reinforcing rib 50 and thus acts as a guide to effectively drain moisture generated inside the luminaire 200 to the ventilation bore 16. Furthermore, the first air-permeable membrane 30 can be locally deformed according to the slot 33, thereby directing moisture generated inside the luminaire 200 to the ventilation bore 16.Because the first air-permeable membrane 30 can be locally deformed according to the slot 33, larger manufacturing tolerances are possible. When bonded or connected to the reinforcing rib 50, the latter adapts to the shape of the slot 33 and fits snugly against it. Alternatively, the first air-permeable membrane 30 can also be left unbonded to the reinforcing rib 50.

[0017] The main body 10 defines a center of rotation A. Several radially projecting locking projections 71 are provided on the outer circumferential surface of the side wall 12, arranged at intervals around the center of rotation A. The side wall 12 can be inserted into a receiving recess 211 of the housing 210 of the luminaire 200 along the mounting direction and rotated about the center of rotation A relative to the receiving recess 211, whereby the locking projections 71 can block several blocks 212 within the receiving recess 211 in the opposite direction to the mounting direction. Each locking projection 71 has an inclined guide surface 75 on the side facing the block 212, which can slide along the block 212. Preferably, several radially projecting rotating disks 76 are provided on the outer circumferential surface of the side wall 12, arranged at intervals around the pivot point A.The main body 10 can be quickly inserted and positioned by the interaction of the locking projections 71 and the blocks 212 in the receiving recess 211. The inclined guide surfaces 75 facilitate sliding and guiding and prevent interference. The user can rotate the main body 10 using the rotary discs 76 so that the locking projections 71 slide over the blocks 212 and then lock them to ensure secure fixation. By rotating in the opposite direction, the lock can be quickly released. This allows for rapid assembly and disassembly.

[0018] Preferably, the moisture-absorbing device 1 for the luminaire further comprises a sealing ring 70, which is attached to the side wall 12 and rests against the inner wall of the receiving recess 211 to create an airtight connection with the housing 210.

[0019] Preferably, the moisture-absorbing device 1 for the luminaire additionally comprises a check valve 80. A countersunk hole 81 is provided on one side of the main body 10. The diameter of the countersunk hole 81 is larger than the diameter of the ventilation bore 16 and smaller than the outer diameter of the second air-permeable membrane 40. The countersunk hole 81 is connected to the air outlet opening 162. The check valve 80 is arranged in the countersunk hole 81 and the ventilation bore 16. The second air-permeable membrane 40 closes the countersunk hole 81. The check valve 80 is located between the main body 10 and the second air-permeable membrane 40. The check valve 80 allows air to enter through the air inlet opening 161 and exit through the air outlet opening 162, but prevents air from entering through the air outlet opening 162 and exiting through the air inlet opening 162.More precisely, the check valve 80 has a valve head 82 and a valve body 83, which are connected to each other. The outer diameter of the valve head 82 is larger than the outer diameter of the valve body 83 and the diameter of the air outlet opening 162. The valve body 83 is inserted into the ventilation bore 16, and the valve head 82 is received in the countersunk hole 81 and can open and close the air outlet opening 162. In the present embodiment, the check valve 80 can be made of a deformable material, but is not limited to this. Specifically, the valve head 82 is plate-shaped, and the valve body 83 has an enlarged section 84 that abuts the wall of the ventilation bore 16. During operation, when the air inside the lamp 200 flows from the air inlet opening 161 to the air outlet opening 162, the check valve 80 is actuated by the air pressure. This causes the valve head 82 to open the air outlet opening 162, i.e. a gap is created between the valve head 82 and the countersunk hole 81, so that the air can be discharged unhindered, as in . Fig. 9 shown. If, however, the air flows in the reverse direction, the check valve 80 automatically closes the ventilation bore 16 and the air outlet opening 162. This ensures that the moisture inside the luminaire 200 is only discharged in one direction and prevents external moisture from flowing back. In the normal state, the check valve 80 closes the ventilation bore 16 and the air outlet opening 162, as shown in Fig. 6 shown.

[0020] The moisture-absorbing device for the lamp of the invention can effectively absorb the moisture generated inside the lamp by means of the moisture absorption unit, the first air-permeable membrane and the second air-permeable membrane.
