Abstract

A stamping tool for producing a grid arrangement (109, 111) for a battery electrode from a metal strip, wherein the stamping tool comprises: - an upper mold half and a lower mold half, between which the metal strip can be transported in a feed direction; and - a plurality of processing stations arranged along the feed direction, comprising at least one grid stamping station for stamping grid meshes from the metal strip, characterized in that the grid stamping station comprises an arrangement of punches and dies shaped and positioned to stamp a grid structure from the metal strip having the following features: - a grid structure with a plurality of recesses (8); and - a transition area located below a connecting tab (113), which is formed from fan-shaped vertical bar sections (12) that are directly connected to the vertices of the recesses (8) of the grid structure.
