Self-tightening hood latch for passenger cars with anti-pinch function

Abstract

A pull-closing locking mechanism (24) for a hood (18) of a vehicle (10) with an anti-pinch function, comprising: a claw (26) for securing and releasing a hood stop (22) of the hood; a locking pawl (30) for holding the claw in a secondary position and a primary position; an actuator (32) which is operationally coupled to the claw (26) to provide a pull-closing function of the pull-closing locking mechanism; a control (42) for controlling a motor (44) of the actuator (32);a secondary position switch (36), a primary position switch (38) and an anti-pinch test switch (40), each operationally coupled to the control unit (42), wherein the secondary position switch (36) and the anti-pinch test switch (40) are actuated by a movement of the claw (26), while the primary position switch (38) is actuated by the locking pawl (30), wherein the closing locking mechanism (24) is only drawn into the primary position when the anti-pinch test switch (40) has been actuated by the claw (26).
