Abstract

A reconfigurable dual-band Wilkinson power divider device comprising: an input terminal; a first output terminal; a second output terminal; and a plurality of pi-shaped dual-band quarter-wavelength transmission line structures, each pi-shaped dual-band quarter-wavelength transmission line structure comprising: a coupled line with a first terminal and a second terminal, a first transmission line connected to the first terminal of the coupled line, a second transmission line connected to the second terminal of the coupled line, a first varactor diode connected to the first transmission line and to ground, and a second varactor diode connected to the second transmission line and to ground; wherein the pi-shaped dual-band quarter-wavelength transmission line structure is arranged symmetrically around a center point of the coupled line;wherein the pi-shaped dual-band quarter-wave transmission line structure is designed to operate simultaneously at two discrete operating frequencies; and wherein the capacitance of both the first varactor diode and the second varactor diode is variable by setting a bias voltage, such that by setting the bias voltage an upper operating frequency of the device is reconfigured.;
