Description

[0001] The invention relates to a cassette for storing tubing material, comprising a cassette housing which has a circumferential receiving area for receiving tubing material and an opening connected to the receiving area for removing tubing material arranged within the receiving area, and a cover film which closes the opening of the cassette housing at least in sections.

[0002] Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing a cassette for storing tubing, comprising the steps of: providing a cassette housing which has a circumferential receiving area for receiving tubing and an opening connected to the receiving area for removing tubing arranged within the receiving area, filling the receiving area of the cassette housing with tubing and closing the opening of the cassette housing at least in sections with a cover film.

[0003] These cassettes are typically used in bucket or container designs, allowing the cassette's tubing to be used as a waste bag. The use of these bucket or container designs in conjunction with tubing cassettes is becoming increasingly popular, as they significantly increase user convenience compared to conventional waste or garbage bins. In particular, the cumbersome and time-consuming process of changing the waste or garbage bag is eliminated.

[0004] From the document US 3,536,192 A a cassette is known in which tubular material is arranged, wherein the tubular material can be used as a waste bag.

[0005] Cassettes for storing tubing typically have a cassette housing in which several meters of tubing are inserted in a folded and compressed form. To hold the folded and compressed tubing within the cassette housing, known cassettes either have a separate lid or the cassette housing includes an integrated lid section. However, such designs require comparatively high manufacturing and assembly costs and / or significantly impair user comfort.

[0006] The object underlying the invention is therefore to reduce the manufacturing costs of cassettes for storing tubing material without compromising user comfort.

[0007] The object is achieved by a cassette of the type mentioned at the outset, wherein the cover film of the cassette according to the invention has one or more predetermined tear lines, in particular perforation lines, which preferably extend at least in sections in the circumferential direction.

[0008] The invention takes advantage of the finding that the mechanical properties of film material are suitable for holding the folded and compressed tubing within the receiving area of the cassette housing. This eliminates the need for a separate lid or the integration of a lid section into the cassette housing, significantly reducing the manufacturing costs of the cassette. Furthermore, the lid film of the cassette according to the invention can be designed to be tearable and / or at least partially removable from the cassette housing such that the opening of the cassette housing is only partially exposed, allowing the controlled removal of a suitable amount of tubing while any unused tubing remains within the receiving area of the cassette housing. In particular, the cassette housing is made of a plastic material, for example, polypropylene. The tubing material can be designed, for example, as a tubular film. The tubing material can be transparent or semi-transparent, for example. Alternatively, the tubing material can also be essentially opaque. The tubing material can be colored and / or printed.

[0009] In a preferred embodiment, the cassette according to the invention may already comprise the tubing material, wherein the tubing material is arranged in the circumferential receiving area of the cassette housing, in particular in a folded and / or compressed form. The cassette housing may be formed in one piece or in multiple pieces. The cover film may, for example, be transparent or semi-transparent. Alternatively, the cover film may also be substantially opaque. The cover film may be colored and / or printed.

[0010] In a preferred embodiment, the cassette according to the invention has a substantially annular cassette housing. The inner contour and / or the outer contour of the cassette housing can, for example, be substantially round or polygonal. The cassette housing preferably has a central recess through which the tubing pulled out of the receiving area of the cassette housing extends when the cassette is in use. The cover film of the cassette according to the invention can have an annular basic shape. The outer contour and / or the inner contour of the annular cover film can be substantially round or polygonal. The cover film preferably has a central recess through which the tubing pulled out of the receiving area of the cassette housing extends when the cassette is in use.The central recess of the cassette housing and the central recess of the cover film are preferably arranged coaxially to each other.

[0011] In a further preferred embodiment of the cassette according to the invention, the cover film is welded to the cassette housing along one or more, preferably circumferential, sealing surfaces by means of a welded joint. The cover film is secured to the cassette housing by the one or more welded joints. The one or more welded joints are designed such that the one or more welded joints cannot be released by compressive loading of the compressed tubing within the receiving area of the cassette housing.

[0012] In a further development of the cassette according to the invention, the cover film is welded along an outer circumferential sealing surface by means of a weld to a material section of the cassette housing, which is arranged radially outward from the receiving area. Alternatively or additionally, the cover film is welded along an inner circumferential sealing surface by means of a weld to a material section of the cassette housing, which is arranged radially inward from the receiving area. The circumferential sealing surfaces of the cover film and the welded material sections of the cassette housing are preferably annular and have a width in the range of 3 to 8 mm, preferably a width in the range of 4 to 5 mm. The outer sealing surface is preferably wider than the inner sealing surface.

[0013] In another preferred embodiment of the cassette according to the invention, the material section of the cassette housing, which is arranged radially outward from the receiving area, is designed as an outwardly extending and preferably circumferential housing web. Alternatively or additionally, the material section of the cassette housing, which is arranged radially inward from the receiving area, is designed as an inwardly extending and preferably circumferential housing web. The outwardly extending housing web is preferably connected to a substantially cylindrical outer surface of the cassette housing via a curved material section. The outer surface of the cassette housing can have a slight inclination, so that a demolding slope is implemented. The inwardly extending housing web is preferably connected via a curved material section to a substantially cylindrical inner surface of the cassette housing, which defines the central recess of the cassette housing. The inner surface of the cassette housing can have a slight inclination, thus implementing a draft angle. The outwardly extending housing web and the inwardly extending housing web allow for flat welded connections to the cover film without reducing the size of the opening of the cassette housing connected to the receiving area.

[0014] In another embodiment of the cassette according to the invention, the welded joints between the cassette housing and the cover film have different adhesive properties. The different adhesive properties of the welded joints result in the welded joints having different resistance properties when the cover film is subjected to mechanical stress. If a peeling force is applied to the cover film in order to detach the cover film or part of the cover film from the cassette housing, the different adhesive properties of the welded joints result in the welded joint with the lowest resistance being released first. If the cover film is provided with predetermined tear lines, this can ensure that only part of the cover film is detached from the cassette housing when a peeling force is applied to the cover film.

[0015] In a further development of the cassette according to the invention, at least one welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film is designed as a peel connection, which can be released by applying a peeling force to the cover film or a portion of the cover film. The peel connection allows for quick and convenient removal of at least a portion of the cover film from the cassette housing, so that the opening of the cassette housing is at least partially exposed for removal of the tubing arranged within the receiving area.

[0016] In the cassette according to the invention, the lidding film has one or more predetermined tear lines, in particular perforation lines, which preferably extend at least partially in the circumferential direction. The one or more predetermined tear lines can comprise a plurality of recesses which extend partially or completely through the lidding film. If the recesses extend only partially through the lidding film, the recesses are material indentations in the region of which the material thickness of the lidding film is reduced. If the recesses extend completely through the lidding film, the recesses are through-holes. A predetermined tear line with a plurality of through-holes extending through the lidding film is implemented via the one or more perforation lines, along which the lidding film tears when a peeling force is applied to the lidding film.In particular, the adhesive properties of the welded connections between the cassette housing and the cover film and the one or more predetermined tear lines are coordinated with one another in such a way that when a peeling force is applied to the cover film, a welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film is released, the cover film tears along one or more predetermined tear lines, and a welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film remains. In this way, by applying a peeling force to the cover film, only part of the cover film can be detached from the cassette housing, while another part remains attached to the cassette housing. In particular, peeling off the detachable part of the cover film creates a circumferential slit through which the tubing arranged in the receiving area of the cassette housing can be removed via the opening in the cassette housing.

[0017] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the cassette according to the invention, the one or more predetermined tear lines divide the cover film into a, preferably circumferential, peel-off area and a, preferably circumferential, closure area. The peel-off area is preferably welded to a material section of the cassette housing which is arranged radially inward of the receiving area. The closure area is preferably welded to a material section of the cassette housing which is arranged radially outward of the receiving area. In particular, the peel-off area and the closure area of the cover film have annular basic shapes and / or different material widths. In particular, the inner peel-off area is narrower than the outer closure area of the cover film.By peeling off the inner peel-off area of the lid film, a circumferential slot is created through which the tubing can be removed from the receiving area of the cassette housing. The outer, comparatively wide sealing area of the lid film retains the tubing located in the receiving area of the cassette housing, even if the cassette has already been opened by tearing off the inner peel-off area.

[0018] Furthermore, a cassette according to the invention is advantageous in which the cover film has one or more grip tabs which are designed to be gripped by a user in order to apply a peeling force to the cover film. The grip tabs can be formed, for example, by cuts within the cover film. The cover film can be designed such that the opposite cut edges adhere to one another or adjoin one another. Preferably, the grip tabs are designed such that they must first be pushed open by the user, in particular by a finger of the user, before they can be grasped by the user. In particular, the one or more grip tabs represent components of the peel-off area of the cover film.

[0019] The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a method of the type mentioned at the outset, wherein the method according to the invention comprises producing a tearable predetermined tear line, in particular a tearable perforation, in the lidding film.

[0020] Providing the cassette housing can, for example, comprise manufacturing the cassette housing using an injection molding process. Filling the receiving area of the cassette housing with tubing is preferably carried out via vertical filling, wherein the vertical filling causes the tubing to fold within the receiving area of the cassette housing.

[0021] In a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, at least partially closing the opening of the cassette housing with a cover film comprises positioning the cover film on the opening of the cassette housing, creating a first, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film and / or creating a second, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film. The creation of the first welded connection and / or the creation of the second welded connection is preferably carried out by introducing thermal energy into the intended welding area. In particular, a sealing temperature is generated in the welding area of the first welded connection and / or in the welding area of the second welded connection, which causes the cover film to be sealed to the cassette housing.

[0022] In another preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the first, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film is created at a first welding temperature, and the second, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film is created at a second welding temperature, wherein the first welding temperature and the second welding temperature differ from one another. By using different welding temperatures, different adhesive properties of the welded connections are created, so that, for example, different forces are required to release the welded connections. The first welding temperature and the second welding temperature preferably differ by at least 5°C, by at least 10°C, by at least 15°C, by at least 20°C, by at least 25°C, or by at least 30°C.Preferably, an outer and an inner circumferential welded joint are created, with the welding temperature during the creation of the outer welded joint being higher than the welding temperature during the creation of the inner welded joint. Thus, the inner welded joint can be released with less force. This allows the implementation of a cover film that is only partially released from the cassette housing when subjected to a peeling force.

[0023] Furthermore, a method according to the invention is advantageous in which the creation of the first, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film and the creation of the second, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film take place essentially simultaneously or with a time delay. The simultaneous creation of the first and second welded connections can be achieved in particular with a welding or sealing tool which has several, at least two, temperature zones. The creation of the first, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film and / or the creation of the second, preferably circumferential, welded connection between the cassette housing and the cover film can each take place by a single or repeated application of heat.If heat is applied multiple times, the set welding temperatures for the heat applications may be identical or differ from each other.

[0024] The method according to the invention can further comprise loading the tubing material filled into the receiving area of the cassette housing with a loading object, namely in such a way that the tubing material filled in the receiving area of the cassette housing is at least temporarily compressed. Alternatively or additionally, the method according to the invention comprises moving the cassette housing filled with the tubing material, in particular together with the loading object, into a closed position in which the opening of the cassette housing is at least partially closed with the cover film. The loading object can, for example, be circumferential and / or have a ring shape. The weight of the tubing material presses the tubing material arranged in the receiving area of the cassette housing downwards in such a way that, at least temporarily, no tubing material protrudes from the opening of the cassette housing. This allows the lidding film to be applied and sealed without tubing material remaining in the sealing area between the lidding film and the cassette housing. After the weight is removed, the compression is released, leaving only a limited time window for positioning and sealing the lidding film to the cassette housing. The sealing of the lidding film preferably takes place in a separate sealing system.

[0025] In the method according to the invention, a tearable predetermined tear line, in particular a tearable perforation, is produced in the lidding film. Alternatively or additionally, the method comprises providing a lidding film which already has one or more tearable predetermined tear lines, in particular perforation lines. Preferably, the opening of the cassette housing is closed at least in sections with a lidding film which already has one or more tearable predetermined tear lines, in particular perforation lines. Alternatively or additionally, one or more grip tabs are produced in the lidding film within the scope of the method according to the invention. The grip tabs serve to be gripped by a user, so that a user can apply a peeling force to the lidding film.By applying the peeling force, at least one welded connection between the lid film and the cassette housing is broken and / or a predetermined tear line, in particular a perforation, in the lid film is torn. The tearable predetermined tear line in the lid film is preferably created by laser perforation.

[0026] Preferred embodiments of the invention are explained and described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0027] Showing: Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the cassette according to the invention in a perspective view; Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the cassette according to the invention in a further perspective view; Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the cassette according to the invention in a plan view; Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of the cassette according to the invention from below; and Fig. 5 shows an embodiment of the cassette according to the invention in a side sectional view.

[0028] According to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 the cassette 10 has a cassette housing 12 and a cover film 18.

[0029] The cassette housing 12 is formed as a one-piece plastic body and has a substantially annular basic shape. For example, the cassette housing 12 can be made of polypropylene and manufactured by injection molding. The cassette housing 12 comprises a circumferential receiving area 14 for receiving tubing 100 and an opening 16 connected to the receiving area 14 for removing the tubing 100 arranged within the receiving area 14. The cover film 18 closes the opening 16 of the cassette housing 12 and prevents the folded and compressed tubing 100 from unfolding.

[0030] The tubing material 100 is designed as a transparent tubular film which was introduced via a vertical filling of the receiving area 14 of the cassette housing 12, wherein the tubing material 100 is folded during the filling of the receiving area 14 of the cassette housing 12.

[0031] The cassette housing 12 has a substantially cylindrical outer wall 20 and a substantially cylindrical inner wall 22, wherein the outer wall 20 and the inner wall 22 are connected to each other by a cassette base 24. The outer wall 20 and the inner wall 22 each have a slight inclination, thus creating a draft angle. The ring segment of the cassette body thus has a substantially U-shaped cross-section.

[0032] The cover film 14 also has a basic annular shape. Due to their annular shape, the cassette housing 12 and the cover film 18 each have a central recess 26, 28, with the recesses 26, 28 being arranged essentially circularly and coaxially with one another.

[0033] The Fig. 3shows that the cover film 18 is welded to the cassette housing 12 along two circumferential and substantially annular sealing surfaces 30a, 30b. In the illustrated embodiment, the cover film 18 is welded along an outer circumferential sealing surface 30a to an annular material portion 32a of the cassette housing 12, which is arranged radially outward from the receiving area 14. Furthermore, the cover film 18 is welded along an inner circumferential sealing surface 30b to an annular material portion 32b of the cassette housing 12, which is arranged radially inward from the receiving area 14.

[0034] Before the lidding film 18 is sealed, the tubing 100 filled into the receiving area 14 of the cassette housing 12 is subjected to a load-bearing object such that the tubing 100 filled into the receiving area 14 of the cassette housing 12 is temporarily subjected to strong compression. The strong compression of the tubing 100 allows the opening 16 of the cassette housing 12 to be closed with the lidding film 18 and the lidding film 18 to be sealed without the tubing 100 being located between the sealing surfaces 30a, 30b of the lidding film 18 and the material sections 32a, 32b of the cassette housing 12.

[0035] The outer circumferential sealing surface 30a of the lid film 18 and the outer circumferential material portion 32a of the cassette housing 12 have a width B1 of 5 mm. The inner circumferential sealing surface 30b of the lid film 18 and the inner circumferential material portion 32b of the cassette housing 12 have a width B2 of 4 mm. The outer circumferential sealing surface 30a of the lid film 18 and the outer circumferential material portion 32a of the cassette housing 12 are arranged coaxially with the inner circumferential sealing surface 30b of the lid film 18 and the inner circumferential material portion 32b of the cassette housing 12. Furthermore, the outer circumferential sealing surface 30a of the lid film 18 and the outer circumferential material portion 32a of the cassette housing 12 have a larger diameter than the inner circumferential sealing surface 30b of the lid film 18 and the inner circumferential material portion 32b of the cassette housing 12.

[0036] The welded joints between the cassette housing 12 and the cover film 18 exhibit different adhesive properties. The different adhesive properties are achieved by creating the welded joint between the outer circumferential sealing surface 30a of the cover film 18 and the outer circumferential material section 32a of the cassette housing 12 at a higher temperature than the welded joint between the inner circumferential sealing surface 30b of the cover film 18 and the inner circumferential material section 32b of the cassette housing 12. The creation of the two circumferential welded joints between the cassette housing 12 and the cover film 18 occurs essentially simultaneously.

[0037] The welded connection between the inner circumferential sealing surface 30b of the cover film 18 and the inner circumferential material section 32b of the cassette housing 12 is designed as a peel connection, which can be released by applying a peeling force to the cover film 18. The welded connection between the outer circumferential sealing surface 30a of the cover film 18 and the outer circumferential material section 32a of the cassette housing 12 has a higher strength than the welded connection between the inner circumferential sealing surface 30b of the cover film 18 and the inner circumferential material section 32b of the cassette housing 12 and cannot be easily released by applying a peeling force to the cover film 18.

[0038] The cover film 18 has two perforation lines 36a, 36b arranged on a circular path, which are connected to each other via two grip tabs 38a, 38b. The perforation lines 36a, 36b divide the cover film 18 into a circumferential peel-off area 40 and a circumferential closure area 42. The peel-off area 40 is welded to the material section 30b of the cassette housing 12, which is arranged radially inward of the receiving area 14. The closure area 42 is welded to the material section 30a of the cassette housing 12, which is arranged radially outward of the receiving area 14. The closure area 42 has a width of B3. The peel-off area 40 has a width of B4. The closure area 42 is wider than the pull-off area 40, so that after the pull-off area 40 is pulled off, there is a circumferential slot through which the hose material 100 can be removed from the receiving area 14.The wide closure area 42 also serves to hold down the folded tubing 100 arranged within the receiving area 14 after the removal of the removal area 40.

[0039] The grip tabs 38a, 38b can be grasped by a user to apply a peeling force to the lidding film 18. Unlike the perforation lines 36a, 36b, the grip tabs 38a, 38b are cut from the lidding film 18, with the opposing cut edges abutting and adhering to one another.

[0040] The Fig. 4 shows the cassette base 24 of a cassette 10. The cassette base 24 contains several recesses 44a-44d, which are designed as through holes. The recesses 44a-44d connect the receiving area 14 of the cassette housing 12 with the area surrounding the cassette base 24.

[0041] The Fig. 5shows that the recesses 44a-44d serve to receive material projections 204a, 204c of a cassette receiving device 200 of a container structure. The material projections 204a, 204c can be designed, for example, as pins. The material projections 204a, 204c are dimensioned and arranged such that, after the cassette 10 is inserted into an insertion area 202 of the cassette receiving device 200, the material projections 204a, 204c protrude into the receiving area 14 of the cassette housing 12 and are in contact with the tubing 100 located in the receiving area 14. To prevent damage to the tubing 100 by the material projections 204a, 204c, the edges of the material projections 204a, 204c are rounded.

[0042] Furthermore, it is shown that the material section 32a of the cassette housing 12, which is arranged radially outward from the receiving area 14, is designed as an outwardly extending and circumferential housing web 34a. At the same time, the material section 32b of the cassette housing 12, which is arranged radially inward from the receiving area 14, is designed as an inwardly extending and circumferential housing web 34b.
