AI Technical Summary
Existing hinges for removable sheet metal cabinet doors or panels lack an additional lifting and pressing function to enhance closing comfort and safety, particularly in high-pressure environments.
A hinge design incorporating a lifting device that engages around the hinge pin, supported by a latch-like tongue, allows perpendicular movement via a key, with slotted guide walls and a worm gear mechanism for separate raising and lowering movements, enabling a lifting or pressing function without affecting the hinge's primary function.
The hinge provides enhanced closing comfort by allowing pressure relief and safety features, ensuring secure locking and separation of the hinge function when needed, thus improving usability and safety in high-pressure conditions.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a hinge for removable sheet metal cabinet doors or walls, comprising a first hinge part or frame hinge part which can be fastened to the door or cabinet frame and a second hinge part or door hinge part which can be fixed to the door leaf or cabinet wall, which hinge parts are connected to one another in an articulated manner by means of a hinge pin, with a latch-like tongue which is arranged in the second hinge part and can be displaced against spring force, which tongue engages around the hinge pin which is guided through the finger-like ends of the first hinge part and, together with the hook held by the door part, centrally supports it.
[0002] Such a hinge arrangement for removable sheet metal cabinet doors or panels is already known from German utility model DE 20 2015 001 918 U1 and EP 0 274 549 A1. This hinge, and other known hinges, are suitable for combining a hinge and locking function, thus enabling flexible design options such as changing the hinge side and / or locking side.
[0003] The aim is to improve the state of the art in such a way that an additional lifting and pressing function in one area of application extends the already known hinges with an additional closing function.
[0004] The object is achieved in that a lifting device is provided which engages around the hinge pin guided through finger-like ends of the first hinge part and supports it centrally together with the latch-like tongue, wherein by means of a key, such as a double-bit key, the engaging part of the second hinge part can be displaced perpendicular to the plane of the door leaf or the cabinet wall to which the hinge is fastened or screwed.
[0005] The second hinge part forms slotted guide walls that guide the lifting device and enclose it in a U-shape.
[0006] In one embodiment, the outer walls form feet with which they are attached to the door leaf, so that the raising and lowering of the outer walls also causes the door leaf or the cabinet wall to be raised and lowered.
[0007] In a further embodiment, a link supports a turntable provided in the base area with a worm gear, into which worm gear a projection extending from the underside of the actuator is inserted.
[0008] In a further embodiment, the attachment is formed by a cap screw that is screwed into the underside of the actuator. This makes it easier to assemble the arrangement. In order to be able to carry out the two movements, namely the raising of the walls on the one hand and the displacement of the tongue on the other hand, separately, the tongue has an L-shaped cutout through which a pin arranged in the walls is provided. This pin guides the tongue when the actuator is rotated in such a way that when rotated by 180° in a first direction (e.g. clockwise or right-hand rotation) the walls are raised and when rotated a further 180° in the same direction (clockwise) the tongue is pulled into the guides.
[0009] The direction of the legs of the L-shape determines the movement of the tongue parallel and perpendicular to the plane of the door leaf. The result is a hinge, driven by a suitable key in a rotatable actuation accessible from the outside, a link of the hinge, which performs a lifting or pressing movement from or towards the frame part without affecting the hinge function. This is achieved by a pin located in the door part, which engages in a curved track located on the outer circumference of the actuation and thus allows the lifting or pressing movement. The rotary disc in conjunction with the driver and spacer ensures that the latch or tongue can only be retracted by a further turning movement of the key after the lifting movement, thus causing the hinge to separate and preventing the hinge function. Furthermore, the latch orTongue equipped with a freewheel and has spring force so that the locking process can be carried out without a key.
[0010] In addition to the already familiar hinge and locking function, the lifting and lowering function of the innovative hinge significantly increases closing comfort when the seal is under pressure and / or provides pressure relief before the opening process. This, in turn, addresses a potential safety aspect when the internal housing pressure is high or allows for seal compression relevant to the protection class.
[0011] The invention is explained in more detail using embodiments shown in the drawings.
[0012] It shows: Fig. 1 shows an exploded view of individual parts of the hinge according to the invention; Fig. 2 shows the hinge in the assembled state with the individual parts of the Fig. 1, with the hinge in the rest position; Fig. 3 in a similar representation to Fig. 2 The hinge after installation in a sheet metal cabinet in the rest position; Fig. 4 The hinge with the door part raised after rotation by 180°; Fig. 5 A perspective view of the hinge after a first use before further rotation by 180° clockwise to extend it by pulling the tongue; Fig. 6 The state with the tongue pushed forward (hinge function); Fig. 7 The state with the tongue retracted (hinge parts can be separated) Fig. 8 A plan view of the hinge according to the invention in the lowered position; Fig. 9 The hinge of the Figure 8 after division into the two hinge parts; Fig. 10 a cross-sectional view of the hinge according to the invention in the closed position (hinge function); Fig. 11 a similar view to Figure 10in lowered position after rotation by 180°; Fig. 12 the position after rotation by 360°; Fig. 13 a side view of the hinge mounted on the control cabinet with seal; Fig. 14 the arrangement of the Figure 13 after inserting an operating key and turning it 180° clockwise (door performs a stroke), (pressure equalization, seal is relaxed); Fig. 15 A an enlarged view of the tongue in the locking position, Fig. 15 legs similar view to Figure 13 to show the internal arrangement of the hinge; Fig. 16 A similar view to Figure 15 A , but with tongue retracted, Figure 16 legs similar view to Figure 15 A , the condition of the Figure 16 A ; Fig.17 A and Fig. 17 legs similar view to Figure 16B, but the hinge disassembled; Fig. 18 a perspective view of the assembled and locked hinge; Fig. 19 a perspective view of the assembled and released hinge with the key inserted; Fig. 20 the hinge in the assembled and released position without the key; Fig. 21 the assembled hinge after separation of the hinge parts; Fig. 22 a side view of the hinge in hinge function and Fig. 23 a perspective view of the hinge of the Figure 22 .
[0013] In Figure 1 is an exploded view of the hinge 8 according to the invention, while Fig. 2 the assembled hinge 8 and Fig. 3 the hinge after installation in a door.
[0014] The hinge according to the invention for removable sheet metal cabinet doors or walls comprises a first hinge part or frame hinge part 10 that can be attached to the door or cabinet frame 34, and a second hinge part 16 or door hinge part that can be fixed to the door leaf or cabinet wall 38, which hinge parts 10, 16 are connected to one another in an articulated manner by means of a hinge pin 14. The hinge comprises a latch-like tongue 26 arranged in the second hinge part 16 so as to be displaceable against spring force 24. Furthermore, a lifting device is provided that engages around the hinge pin 14 guided through finger-like ends 42 of the first hinge part 10 (see hook 46) and centrally supports it together with the tongue 26. The encompassing part of the lifting device (hook 46) can be moved perpendicularly to the plane 62 of the door leaf or cabinet wall 16 by means of a key 40, such as a double-bit key, via an actuation 20.
[0015] The door hinge part 16 forms slotted guide walls 56, 58, which provide a guide for the lifting device and enclose it in a U-shape.
[0016] The lifting device supports the key holder 20 and the turntable 22 has a worm gear 64 into which a projection extends from the underside of the actuation 20.
[0017] The attachment is formed by a cap screw 30, which is screwed into the underside of the turntable 22. This facilitates the assembly of the arrangement in its movement. In order to be able to carry out the two movements, namely the raising of the guides on the one hand and the displacement of the tongue on the other hand, separately from each other, the tongue 26 has an L-shaped cutout 60, which guides the tongue when the actuator is rotated in such a way that when rotated by 180° in a first direction (e.g. clockwise or right-hand rotation), the guides are raised, and when rotated further by 180° in the same direction (clockwise), the tongue is pulled into the guides (see Figs. 10, 11, 12 ).
[0018] This results in a hinge 9 which, driven by a suitable key 40 in an externally accessible rotatable actuation 20, allows a link 18 of the hinge to extend a lifting or pressing movement from or to the frame part without affecting the hinge function. This is achieved by a pin 32 located in the door part, which engages in a curved track located on the outer circumference of the actuation and thus allows the lifting or pressing movement. The rotary disc 22 in conjunction with the driver and spacer 28 ensures that the latch 26 can only be retracted by a further rotating movement of the key after the lifting movement, thus causing the hinge to separate and preventing the hinge function. Furthermore, the tongue is equipped with a freewheel so that, supported by spring force, the locking process can be carried out without a key. List of reference symbols:
