Description
[0001] The invention relates to a shower toilet according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] From EP-B 1,317,586, a shower toilet is known with a toilet bowl that has a cavity open at the rear. The rear of the toilet bowl provides an interface for its attachment to the wall by means of a support frame. A module comprising a bidet function with a movable spray arm can be inserted into the cavity of the toilet bowl from the rear. Two functional elements, namely a boiler and a pump, are also attached to the support frame in the rear part of the toilet bowl. However, these two functional elements do not form a single module but are separate components controlled by separate electronic controls. Furthermore, the two functional elements of this known device require a relatively bulky casing to protect them and keep them invisible to the user.
[0003] Moreover, there is a further disadvantage because the fastening of the individual components to a special support frame or the shower unit in a separate chamber, as shown in EP-B 1.317.586, requires an excessive amount of space.
[0004] Other shower toilets are known from WO 2006 / 079232, DE 201 12 302 and WO 2015 / 042726.
[0005] This invention aims to remedy this problem. The invention is based on the objective of creating a shower toilet whose toilet bowl, after being mounted to an installation wall, is self-contained, so that all under-shower elements are completely housed within it.
[0006] The invention solves the stated problem with a shower toilet which has the features of claim 1.
[0007] The advantages achieved through the invention are essentially that, thanks to the shower toilet according to the invention: A closed toilet bowl is possible, which offers significant advantages in terms of hygiene, as there are no gaps or transitions between the toilet bowl and a plastic casing; faster and more cost-effective assembly of the complete shower toilet is possible at the factory; the components of the technical unit module are assembled into a single unit, which is particularly suitable for installation in the tight and confined spaces within the toilet bowl cavity because: the module's internal electrical and water lines are already pre-installed; the core technical elements (boiler, pump, and control unit) are combined into a compact block (assembly) that can be installed and secured in the toilet bowl cavity using the simplest fastening elements, thus saving space; fastening elements can be largely dispensed with in order to make the best possible use of space. The components of the technical unit module are optimally arranged around the mandatory (standard-defined) inlet and outlet channels. This allows for optimal space utilization within the shower toilet; enables cost-effective manufacturing of the technical unit module; and allows for functional testing of the module before installation in the shower toilet bowl. Furthermore, it facilitates the supply of technical unit modules and under-shower modules to toilet bowl manufacturers, provided they produce standardized toilet bowls. Within the closed toilet bowl, only the open rear cavity is available, which, due to the elimination of a separate chamber for the under-shower unit, can be made smaller compared to current technology, thanks to reduced wall thicknesses and tolerances. This effect is further enhanced by the compact design of the modules; and the shower unit can also be fixed in the ceramic only around the central outlet opening of the shower arm, thus eliminating the need for a console.
[0008] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention can be described as follows: In a particular embodiment, the toilet bowl comprises first fastening elements and the technical unit module comprises second fastening elements, wherein the first and second fastening elements can be connected to one another. This offers the advantage that the number of fastening elements can be significantly reduced by assembling the components of the technical unit module into a single assembly. This is particularly advantageous in the limited space available due to the flushing water and drain connections located in the cavity. Furthermore, the fastening elements can be arranged on the toilet bowl and the technical unit module, respectively, in such a way that they are easily accessible for assembly and disassembly, even in these limited spaces.
[0009] In another embodiment, the first and second fastening elements are designed to snap into one another, preferably in a horizontal direction. This offers the advantage that the technical unit module can simply be inserted horizontally from the rear into the cavity in the toilet bowl during installation until the fastening elements lock into place.
[0010] In another embodiment, the first fastening elements are arranged in the cavity at the base of the toilet bowl. This offers the advantage that the first fastening elements can also be located inside the cavity, since they can be screwed to the second fastening elements, for example, by inserting a tool into a space below the technical unit module.
[0011] In another embodiment, the second fastening elements are arranged on a front side of the technology unit module, which - in the assembled state - is located inside the cavity.
[0012] In another embodiment, the technical unit module includes internal electrical cables attached to the module, which connect the control unit to the boiler and the pump. Preferably, the technical unit module also includes an internal water line attached to the module, which connects the boiler to the pump. This significantly simplifies the installation of the technical unit module on the toilet bowl, as only a few electrical cables and water lines need to be connected to the in-shower module and the external power and water connections.
[0013] In another embodiment, the technical unit module comprises a first interface, which includes connections for connection to building-side fresh water and electrical lines, and a second interface, which includes connections for the under-shower module.
[0014] In another embodiment, the first interface additionally includes connections for a first and second electrical control line, which can be connected to an operating device and preferably to a valve located on the building side. This offers the advantage that the control lines enable the control of an external valve, e.g., located on an installation wall or a mounting plate, so that no shut-off valve needs to be installed in the cavity of the toilet bowl and the volume of the technical unit module can be kept small.
[0015] The invention and further developments of the invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the partially schematic representations of an exemplary embodiment.

[0028] As in Fig. 5 The external fresh water supply is shown from a building-side installation wall 13 to the technical unit module 7 via a building-side fresh water line 25, which can be shut off from the shower toilet 1 by means of a valve 26, for example a solenoid valve. From the valve 26, the water is supplied to the boiler 8, whereby, for example, a backflow preventer (e.g., check valve) and / or a standardized pipe break (EN 1717) may also be arranged on a mounting plate or in the technical unit module 7. Inside the shower toilet 1, the fresh water is conveyed from the boiler 8 to the pump 9 via an internal water line 24 and from the pump 9 to the under-shower unit 5 via another water line 27 (e.g. hose or pipe).
[0029] The power supply from the building-side installation wall 13 to the technical unit module 7 is also provided via a power supply cable 28 from an electrical connection 29 (e.g. socket) to the control unit 10. From the control unit 10, the power supply to the boiler 8 and to the pump 9 is provided via module-internal electrical cables 30a; 30b, while the power supply from the control unit 10, i.e. from the technical unit module 7 to the under-shower unit 5 is provided by means of an electrical connecting cable 31.
