Description

[0001] The invention relates to a door drive for arrangement on or in connection with a door system, with which at least one leaf element of the door system is movable, comprising a motor unit with a housing in which a stator is accommodated in a stationary manner and wherein a rotor is rotatably arranged in the housing, which rotor has an output shaft, wherein the output shaft can be brought into operative connection with the leaf element in a driving manner. Furthermore, the invention relates to a door system with such a door drive, comprising at least one leaf element with which the door drive is operatively connected in a driving manner.

[0002] DE 10 2008 046 062 A1 discloses a door drive for installation on a door system. The drive serves to move the leaf elements of the door system, which is designed as an automatic sliding door. For this purpose, the door drive comprises a motor unit with a housing, and a gear unit designed as a worm gear is attached to the housing of the motor unit. Thus, the motor unit is designed as a high-speed motor, and the gear unit reduces the higher speed of the motor unit's rotor to a lower speed to drive a pulley mounted on an output shaft of the gear unit.

[0003] A toothed belt is placed over the pulley, which is connected to the leaf elements of the automatic sliding door. Since the motor unit is designed to rotate quickly and the speed must be reduced to the pulley, the gearbox unit is required in conjunction with the motor, which requires additional installation space and makes the design of the door drive more complex. The spatial dimensions of the door drive must be adapted to the requirements of the gearbox unit, and since the motor has a cylindrical basic shape, it takes up a space that does not allow for optimal use of space in relation to its installation environment. The same applies to a worm gear, which runs transversely, especially in conjunction with the motor, and is therefore very space-intensive.

[0004] Particularly if the output shaft is to run horizontally to directly accommodate a pulley in the installed door system, the motor design must be short, especially in the direction of the output shaft's extension, as otherwise, space constraints will arise when installing the motor unit. This is due to the fact that the rotor in the support profile, which is driven by a toothed belt via the pulley and serves to accommodate a leaf element, for example, of an automatic sliding door, must still be able to run past the pulley within the support profile. Therefore, the motor unit should be as short as possible in the direction of the rotor axis's extension.

[0005] DE 10 2014 115 932 A1 discloses another door drive. The door drive has a one-piece, cuboid-shaped body as its base body, with recesses for accommodating a motor unit and a gear stage. Further recesses and openings are provided in the block to accommodate a control unit, a power supply, and the like. The cuboid-shaped body thus forms a housing that supports the individual components of the door drive and is constructed as a single piece and, to a certain extent, monolithic over the entire dimensions of the drive.

[0006] When designing door drives for installation on or in conjunction with a door system, the aim is to make the door drive as compact and small as possible, for example by avoiding a gear unit or gear stage within the door drive itself. Door drives are usually arranged above the linearly movable leaf elements of an automatic sliding door system and have a support profile that forms the base of the door system. The door drive is integrated into the support profile, and the leaf elements are guided linearly. A toothed belt is usually used as the connection between the door drive and the leaf elements, although other traction devices such as chain connections and the like are also possible. The door drive forms a separate unit with at least the motor, a power supply and a control system, which is integrated into the door system with its arrangement on the support profile.

[0007] In order to keep the support profile, along with a corresponding cover, housing, or other components, as compact as possible, it is advantageous to also, and especially, design the door drive itself as compact and small as possible. However, since glass leaf elements can reach large masses, the door drive must have a high power density in order to be able to accelerate and decelerate such leaf elements accordingly, so that the door system still achieves adequate dynamics even with large leaf elements.

[0008] For high power density and, in particular, quiet operation, motor units combined with a timing belt are ideal as direct drives. The pulley is mounted directly on the output shaft of the motor unit, over which the timing belt is placed, which in turn is directly connected to the leaf elements. This allows the door drive to operate with minimal noise, as high motor speeds are not reached. With the appropriate design of the motor unit, power densities can be provided that are sufficient to accelerate and decelerate leaf elements of, for example, 200 kg to 250 kg sufficiently for the operation of an automatic sliding door.

[0009] Motor-gearbox units with a cylindrical outer motor shape and a worm gear arranged transversely to it do not allow for particularly high integration density, especially with regard to the available output power at the output shaft. Furthermore, the further compact arrangement of a power supply, a controller, and, for example, a control panel while maintaining a high integration density is difficult. Such motor-gearbox units are known from DE 93 04 079, US 2005 / 274078, and US 5 797 471.

[0010] The object of the invention is to create a door drive with a motor unit that has a high integration density and a high power density, and wherein the motor, in conjunction with the at least one leaf element, is to be designed, in particular, as a direct drive. The high integration density of the door drive is also to be achieved in the arrangement of the motor unit in conjunction with a power supply and a control system, as well as with the smallest possible height in the direction of extension of the output shaft.

[0011] This object is achieved by a door drive according to claim 1 and by a door system according to claim 12. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims and in the description.

[0012] The invention includes the technical teaching that the motor unit has a flat end face from which the output shaft protrudes and wherein the motor unit is held in the door drive via at least one side surface by means of at least one flange element.

[0013] The core idea of the invention is a mounting of the motor unit, which is not done as usual via a front surface to which a flange or other mounting bracket is attached. According to the invention, the front surface of the motor unit or the housing should be flat and free of any retaining elements, and the motor unit is mounted specifically via one and preferably both side surfaces using one or more flange elements, so that the motor unit is held securely in place within the door drive assembly.

[0014] The critical dimension of the motor unit is the height in the direction of extension of the output shaft. The motor unit is not increased in height by lateral flanges in the door drive assembly if the flange elements are attached to side surfaces that extend laterally, particularly perpendicularly or approximately perpendicularly to the front face. For example, the door drive comprises a power supply, the motor unit, and a downstream control system. All three main components can be arranged side by side and, particularly, in the direction of the toothed belt for coupling the leaf elements to the motor unit, i.e., radially or laterally to the output shaft.

[0015] The pulley, over which the toothed belt is guided, sits on the outside of the output shaft to establish a connection with at least one leaf element of the door drive. If no further means for supporting the motor unit are attached in front of or to the front face, the pulley can be positioned just in front of the front face, thus keeping the overall length of the motor unit in the direction of extension of the drive shaft to a minimum.

[0016] According to the invention, the motor unit has a cuboid in its basic form. A cuboid in the present sense is a body bounded by six rectangular surfaces, whereby the rectangular surfaces should be essentially, but not completely, flat, and may therefore have projections, curvatures, bevels, ribs, and the like. In this respect, the cuboid shape of the motor unit can at best be understood in an approximately mathematical sense; a rectangular body with slight angular and shape deviations thus also falls under the term "cuboid" in this case, without adhering to the mathematical definition of a cuboid.

[0017] For example, bearing elements can protrude with sections from one of the surfaces bordering the cuboid, and ribbing, moldings, and the like can also be present on the outside of the cuboid. The cuboid is therefore to be understood only as the basic shape of the housing of the motor unit, so the motor essentially does not have a cylindrical shape. However, the motor unit itself is a separable component, without the motor unit being designed, for example, in structural connection with a gearbox or the like.

[0018] The motor unit itself forms a unit that is only integrated into the door drive assembly via connecting means; the motor unit within the meaning of the invention is therefore not constructed as a unit with a gear, any other arrangement of a component, or the like.

[0019] Another advantage is that the housing has a first housing half and a second housing half, wherein the housing halves are connected to one another and adjoin one another at a parting plane. The housing halves can be half-shell-shaped, and when the housing halves are connected to one another, the housing body thus formed is completed to form a cuboid. The housing halves do not necessarily have to form an exact half of the entire housing, and the parting plane between the housing halves does not have to be halfway up the height of a vertical edge of the cuboid. In this respect, housing halves can also be provided that have different dimensions, designs, and sizes; however, they can be placed on top of one another and connected in such a way that the cuboid is created to form the housing, thus forming the basic shape of the motor unit.

[0020] According to a further advantageous embodiment, the cuboid has a longitudinal edge, a width edge, and a height edge, wherein the longitudinal edge is larger than the width edge and / or wherein the width edge is larger than the height edge. For example, the width edge has a length of 70% to 98%, in particular of 85% to 95%, of the length of the longitudinal edge. The height edge has a length of 30% to 60%, in particular of 40% to 50%, of the length of the longitudinal edge. If the length of the longitudinal edge is, for example, 100 mm, the width edge has a length of, for example, 90 mm, and the height edge has a length of, for example, 40 mm to 50 mm.

[0021] The housing halves are advantageously designed such that at least the stator and the rotor are accommodated internally between the housing halves. In particular, the housing halves can be designed in a shell-like manner and are attached to one another directly or indirectly. If the housing halves are connected directly to one another, a circumferential, approximately rectangular edge of the respective housing half is joined to one another. In the case of an indirect connection of the housing halves, an intermediate element, for example a sealing element or the like, can also be arranged between the housing halves.

[0022] According to a further embodiment of the door drive, a first flange element is provided which is arranged on the first side surface and accommodates a power supply, and advantageously a second flange element is provided which is arranged on the second side surface and accommodates the control, wherein the first side surface and the second side surface are formed opposite one another on the motor unit.

[0023] The power supply and control unit thus form an extension of the door drive in the direction of extension of the longitudinal edge of the cuboid of the motor unit, whereby the direction of extension of the longitudinal edge is not critical to the installation space. This is the case when the longitudinal edge of the motor unit extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of a support profile of the door drive. In this direction, the integration of the door drive is not as space-critical as in a transverse direction, particularly in the direction of extension of the output shaft. It is also advantageous to electrically insulate the motor unit in conjunction with the power supply and / or the control unit, so that an additional insulating element is present between the flange element and the motor unit.

[0024] The door drive can have a support profile as a base body, by means of which the door drive can be attached to the top of a wall opening. The flange elements are preferably connected directly to the support profile, so that the motor unit, which is also attached to the at least one or more flange elements, is connected to the support profile via the flange elements. The support profile has, for example, an L-shaped aluminum profile, and the motor unit can be aligned with the support profile and arranged on it with regard to a later installation position such that the output shaft has a horizontal extension. This results in a belt path with belt strands arranged vertically one above the other. This design is advantageous with regard to the required movement of the wing elements and with regard to the integration of a blocking device for the wing elements, which are connected to the belt.

[0025] The flange elements can be sheet metal elements manufactured using a stamping and bending process and shaped so that the motor is attached to the support profile via its side surfaces using the flange elements. In addition, each flange element is assigned, for example, a further component. A first flange element can accommodate, for example, a power supply, and a further flange element can accommodate, for example, a control unit. Furthermore, an operating and display device and other components for operating the door drive can be accommodated by means of the flange elements.

[0026] A pulley is arranged on the output shaft, so that the motor unit is designed as a direct drive for the at least one vane element. Such motors are known as torque motors and fall into the category of slow-speed motors. If the pulley is mounted directly on the output shaft, a gearbox is eliminated, and the rotor of the motor unit rotates in unison with the pulley. In particular, the motor unit is designed as an electronically commutated multi-pole motor.

[0027] Since, according to the invention, the end face of the motor unit is flat and thus in particular free of fastening means, the distance from the belt pulley to the end face of the motor unit can have a value of approximately 0.2 mm to 5 mm and in particular from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm. The belt pulley has a toothed outer surface that extends to the end face, wherein the belt pulley only has a flanged pulley on the free end facing away from the end face, so that the toothed belt is held in the axial direction between the end face of the motor unit and the flanged pulley. If the motor unit or in particular the output shaft is tilted very slightly by the introduced belt forces, this ensures that the toothed belt is essentially not guided against the end face but only over the flanged pulley.

[0028] According to the invention, the end face is designed free of fastening means; in particular, the area above the end face is free of flange elements. Alternatively, for example, another printed circuit board can be arranged above the end face that is not occupied by the toothed belt. Furthermore, it is possible to arrange a belt guard on the end face, which prevents the belt from coming off the pulley and also prevents the toothed belt from skipping over the toothed outer surface. According to the invention, such additional structures on the end face are designed no higher than the height of the pulley.

[0029] The invention further relates to a door system with a door drive having the features described above. The door system can have a connecting element for connecting to a leaf element. Additionally or alternatively, the door system can have at least one leaf element with which the door drive is operatively connected.

[0030] For example, the door system can be designed as a sliding door system. The sliding door system can comprise a belt, in particular a toothed belt. The connecting element can be connected at least indirectly to the belt. The connecting element can be designed as a runner, in particular as a trolley. The connecting element can run in a rail, in particular in a rail of the support profile. The belt can be tensioned between pulleys of the door system. One of the pulleys can be designed as the pulley of the door drive according to the invention. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0031] Further measures improving the invention are described in more detail below, together with the description of a preferred embodiment of the invention, with reference to the figures. It shows: Fig. 1 shows an overall view of the door drive with a motor unit accommodated therein according to the invention, Fig. 2 shows a further overall view of the door drive, Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of the motor unit without an upper housing half, Fig. 4 shows a further view of the motor unit in a front view.

[0032] Fig. 1shows an overall view of the door drive 100 as it can be installed in a building, which also includes installation on ships and in aircraft. A door drive 100 of this type serves, for example, as a drive for an automatic sliding door system. The basic structure of the door drive 100 is a support profile 26, which is shown in abbreviated form for ease of viewing. Furthermore, the essential upper part of the L-shaped support profile 26 is shown cut open to reveal the other essential components of the door drive 100.

[0033] As a central component, the door drive 100 comprises a motor unit 1, and the motor unit 1 has the basic shape of a cuboid, which forms the housing 10 of the motor unit 1. In order to enable an output and thus a connection to a leaf element (not shown in detail) of a door system with the door drive 100, a pulley 27 is arranged on the motor unit 1, over which a toothed belt can be placed, which ultimately establishes the connection to the leaf element(s), for example the sliding glass elements.

[0034] Adjacent to the motor unit 1, the door drive 100 has a power supply 24 and a controller 25, and the power supply 24 and the controller 25 are arranged on opposite sides of the motor unit 1. The motor unit 1 is fastened to the support profile 26 by a first flange element 17, wherein the first flange element 17 also accommodates the power supply 24. Furthermore, the motor unit 1 is connected to the support profile 26 by a second flange element 18, wherein the second flange element 18 also accommodates the controller 25. Alternatively, the design of a single flange is also possible in order to accommodate at least the motor unit 1, the power supply 24, and the controller 25. Furthermore, it is possible for the motor unit, the power supply 24, and / or the controller 25 to each have associated separate flange elements for arrangement in or on the support profile 26.

[0035] Fig. 2shows a further view of the door drive 100 from a lateral direction, so that the support profile 26 is located on the rear side. The support profile 26 extends further towards the right-hand image plane in a form not further shown and is therefore shown broken away. The door drive 100 is shown with the motor unit 1, which is located between the power supply 24 and the control unit 25. The power supply 24 is mounted on the flange element 17, and the control unit 25 is mounted on the flange element 18. Both flange elements 17 and 18 also serve to hold the motor unit 1 on the support profile 26.

[0036] The toothed belt 30 extends in a direction starting from the output shaft 13 and the pulley 27 mounted thereon to the right for coupling with leaf elements of the door system (not shown in detail), which can also be guided in the support profile 26. Due to the flat design of the control 25, the toothed belt 30 can run above the control 25 without the size of the door drive 100 being increased due to the arrangement of the toothed belt 30.

[0037] In the Figures 3 and 4 The motor unit 1 is shown isolated, with the Fig. 3 the motor unit 1 in perspective, and in the illustration the upper housing half 19 is removed, whereby in Fig. 4 the housing 10 with both housing halves 19 and 20 is shown in a side view.

[0038] The stator 11 is located within the housing halves 19 and 20, and the rotor 12 is rotatably mounted within the stator 11. The rotor 12 has an output shaft 13 on which the pulley 27 is directly arranged, so that the toothed belt 30 can be placed over the pulley 27 to establish a direct coupling with at least one leaf element of the door system.

[0039] The two housing halves 19, 20 are screwed together via the screw elements 31 so that they are directly connected to each other.

[0040] Fig. 4 shows the planar design of the front surface 14 through the side view, above which the belt pulley 27 with the flanged pulley 29 is arranged. The mounting of the motor unit 1 in the door drive 100 by means of the flange elements 17, 18 (see Fig. 1 and 2) takes place via the side surfaces 15, 16, which are located laterally to the end face 14 on the cuboid housing 10.

[0041] On the side of the housing 10 opposite the end face 14, a printed circuit board 32 is arranged thereon. This circuit board is a component of the motor unit 1 and serves for wireless contacting and wiring of the windings of the stator 11. For this purpose, the printed circuit board 32 has wireless connections to the winding wire of the stator 11.

[0042] The stator 11 is guided outwards via window-like recesses 33 with a flat surface on two opposite sides of the housing 10 in order to be able to establish a cooling contact with another component, for example with the support profile 26, although the housing 10 is designed to be essentially closed.

[0043] The cuboid shape of the housing 10 is determined by the longitudinal edge 21, the width edge 22 and the height edge 23, and the longitudinal edge 21 has a greater length than the width edge 22. The height edge 23 has a length that is approximately half the width edge 22. By designing the side surfaces 15 and 16 with a distance from one another that is determined by the length of the longitudinal edge 21, the motor unit 1 can be used in conjunction with the door drive 100 such that the longitudinal edge 21 extends in the same direction as the toothed belt 30. The output shaft 13 extends transversely to the longitudinal edge 21 and thus parallel in the direction of the height edge 23, and due to the design according to the invention, the motor unit 1 with the belt pulley 27 is very short.

[0044] The invention is not limited in its implementation to the preferred embodiment described above. Rather, a number of variants are conceivable, which utilize the presented solution even in fundamentally different embodiments, provided that they fall within the scope of the invention defined in the appended claims.
