Description

[0001] The invention relates to a movable door leaf consisting of individual, hingedly connected section elements that are guided in lateral guides. The bottom section element of the latter is provided with a continuous section closure element equipped with a bottom sealing strip. The invention also relates to a section closure element for the bottom closure of a movable door leaf, which is provided with a bottom sealing strip directed toward a support surface along its length.

[0002] DE 10 2016 117 407 A1 describes a door with a door leaf and a door element made up of individual elements connected to one another by pivot joints. The door leaf can be moved along lateral guide rails and has a closing element at the bottom that extends across the entire width of the door leaf. A sealing element is attached to the closing element via a connecting area. US 2005 / 0224195 A1 also describes a sectional door with a stabilizing element.

[0003] As the opening widths of such door leaves become ever larger, their weight increases. However, at the same time, they must also be sufficiently rigid so that wind loads on the door leaf do not lead to deformation, particularly of a section closure element, especially when such door leaves are also equipped with a revolving door. The installation of such revolving doors inevitably leads to a reduction in the resistance forces of the door leaf as a whole. If the door leaf changes due to external forces, this inevitably also compromises the lower seal against the floor or a contact surface to such an extent that water can penetrate from below the door leaf into the building interior despite a seal.

[0004] The object of the invention is to increase the stability of sectional doors, even with integrated revolving doors, with a continuous section closure element at the bottom, while simultaneously improving sealing functions compared to the state of the art. Such a seal for the lower section element should be simple and cost-effective to implement.

[0005] The object of the invention is achieved by the features of claim 1 in the form of a door leaf with a continuous section closure element on the underside and a floor sealing strip. Furthermore, according to the features of claim 11, a section element with a floor sealing strip directed toward a support surface is claimed. The subclaims following the main claims represent a further embodiment of the inventive concept.

[0006] There is a close connection between the underside section closure element of a sectional door leaf, which is guided in lateral guide rails and consists of individual sections connected by hinges, with a revolving door integrated into the sectional door leaf, and a floor sealing strip integrated into the section closure element. This connection lies in particular in the fact that the floor sealing strip according to the invention provides a better and more durable seal than is known from the prior art.

[0007] In a first preferred embodiment, the section closure element according to the invention has only one protruding projection on the underside, i.e., in cross-section, on the underside of a contact surface existing on the building. Such a projection is formed on the underside of the section closure element and forms only a substantially strip-shaped contact surface on the ground contact surface of the building. This projection, which is only a few millimeters wide, is followed by an inward-facing region across the entire further width of the section closure element, which region cannot come into contact with the ground. This means that the section element only comes into contact with the ground in a strip-shaped manner. The width of the projection is in a range from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm or preferably from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm or, in a special embodiment, from 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm.The advantage of this small contact area, or rather this contact strip, is that, in conjunction with a floor sealing strip, the design of which is such that the floor sealing strip always comes into contact with the building floor first when the door leaf closes. This makes it possible for the section end element, for example, to make contact with the floor at more than one point due to uneven flooring. The narrow contact strip of the section end element ensures only continuous, essentially point-like contact with the floor.

[0008] The section end element can be provided with a bevel on one side of the top and a substantially straight side end on the other. However, in a preferred embodiment, it is also possible for the section end element to be provided with bevels or substantially straight sides on both of its longitudinally extending outer sides. Such section end elements are used in particular when revolving doors are also incorporated into the door leaves.

[0009] In a further preferred embodiment, it is possible, for example, in a design with two lateral bevels, to also provide two essentially strip-shaped projections directed toward the building's footprint for the lower closure. Naturally, in this design, the floor sealing strip will also first make contact with the building floor.

[0010] The section end element can be provided with an inlet element to increase its stability, whereby the inlet element can be made of a material with a higher strength, such as steel or stainless steel.

[0011] The recessed area provided over at least one projection on the base also houses the fastening for the continuous bottom sealing strip in its longitudinal extension. For this purpose, two spaced-apart, open connection channels for the bottom sealing strip are located in the sectional element in its longitudinal extension, offset towards the outer edges. The connection channels are, for example, essentially round with a lateral projection or an undercut and an opposite run and lie essentially on the same horizontal plane. Runs can be formed from the connection channels on both sides. These can have the same shape or can be designed such that one of the runs runs somewhat flatter towards the inside of the section end element in the direction of the recessed area.

[0012] An extrusion process can be used to cost-effectively produce such an elastically deformable floor sealing strip, which is elastically deformable in its dimensionally stable state. Starting from an approximately centrally positioned lower sealing base, the floor sealing strip is symmetrically designed so that it is provided with two upper connection points that can be inserted laterally into the connection channels of the section closure element. Starting from the connection points, the floor sealing strip has two stiffening areas that are essentially straight and aligned to form a floor-side contact surface, with branches adjoining them on either side. Starting from an essentially centrally positioned sealing base, the floor sealing strip has a symmetrical cross-section. As the branching continues, the cross-section tapers on each side until it reaches defined bending areas.Adjacent to the bending areas are sections with a thickened cross-section that terminate in the sealing base. Furthermore, on each side of the bottom sealing strip, extending from the branches, there are laterally protruding side lips that are essentially directed toward the contact surface. Such a bottom sealing strip is constructed symmetrically in its cross-section, originating from a sealing base located essentially in the center.

[0013] This design of the floor sealing strip creates what are essentially folding areas thanks to a slightly thickened sealing base and the bending areas, which ensure that the sealing base retreats towards the section end element upon initial contact of the sealing base with the contact surface. If the adjoining sections up to the bending areas also make contact with the contact surface, the side lips also come into contact with the floor when the door leaf closes. The contact between the sealing base and the side sections will inevitably lead to displacement of the stiffening areas of the floor sealing strip during further closing of the door leaf. Because the courses are set up in the area of the stiffening areas within the section end element, the stiffening area of the floor sealing strip can therefore shift to the sides. However, this results in a true, close fit to the building's support surface through contact with both the side lips and the sealing base and its lateral sections. This is achieved in particular by the fact that the floor sealing strip has not just one attachment point, but two spaced-apart attachment areas, allowing it to securely adhere to the existing subsurface of the support surface beneath the door leaf. This design ensures reliable sealing against water penetrating from outside the door leaf.

[0014] The invention is explained in more detail below using schematic representations of exemplary embodiments. Figure 1: A first embodiment of a section closure element in side view with a bottom sealing strip; Figure 2: A further preferred embodiment of a section closure element with a bottom sealing strip; Figure 3: A preferred embodiment of an inlet element.

[0015] In the Figure 1a shows a section end element 1 in a cross-sectional view, in which a floor sealing strip 2 has been inserted on the underside and the section element has been reinforced on the top with an inlet element 21. In this exemplary embodiment, the section end element 1 has a bevel 17 on the upper left side, which leads to the top side of the section end element 1 and essentially reaches as far as a notch 19. The inlet element 21 has been embedded within the section 19, which is also present on the right side of the illustration. This inlet element 21 is made of a material with a higher strength than the section end element 1. The lateral end on the right side of the section end element 1 is formed by a end 18, which is essentially straight, although other shapes are also possible. On the underside of the section end element 1, on the left side, there is a projection 3 which, based on the entire width of the section end element 1, is designed in a quasi-strip-like manner in its longitudinal extent. The width of the projection 3 can essentially be up to 5 mm, but the projection 3 should be as small as possible. Adjacent to the projection 3, opposite a base-side contact surface 22, there is an area 4 which then extends essentially across the entire adjoining width of the section element 1. The width of the section element 1 can be interrupted by further shapes, for example in the form of indentations or screw channels. On the top side of the section end element 1, for example, a channel 16 for electrical connections can be recessed.

[0016] In order to connect the floor sealing strip 2 to the section closure element 1, open connection channels 15 for the floor sealing strip 2 are provided within the section closure element 1, spaced apart on one level, preferably in the horizontal plane. These connection channels 15 have additional open areas directed towards the support surface 22, preferably with undercuts or the like. The undercuts for positioning the floor sealing strip 2 have opposing, open runs 13 or 14. The runs 13 and 14 can be identical or different in their design. These runs 13 and 14 influence the floor contact of the floor sealing strip with the ground, ensuring a reliable seal inside the building at all times.

[0017] The floor sealing strip 2 has two spaced-apart fastening areas, which are designed as connection points 7 and dimensionally fit into the open connection channels 15, which are formed at a distance from one another. The connection points 7 of the floor sealing strip 2 are followed by essentially straight stiffening areas 27, directed towards the contact surface 22. The stiffening areas 27 end in connections 8, in which the formation of the floor sealing strip 2 points to sections 12 located between the connection points 7 and a sealing base 11. After the connection 8, the cross-section of the floor sealing strip 2 thickens in the form of a branch 9. In the branch 9, sealing lips 6 are formed on the one hand, pointing outwards, and on the other hand, the course of the floor sealing strip 2 tapers in its cross-section to the kink points 10.Following the bending points 10, the sections 12 are formed, which converge in the common sealing base 11.

[0018] This design of the floor sealing strip 2 ensures that such a section closure element 1 with the floor sealing strip 2 can be used optimally even with not entirely flat contact surfaces 22, so that a good seal against moisture entering a building from the outside is always ensured.

[0019] In the Figure 3A preferred embodiment of an inlet element 21 is shown, in which lateral bends 23 are provided on each side of an upper base 26 at the ends. The bends 23 have been thickened at the ends, for example, by deformation, in order to increase the section modulus. Such an inlet element 21 is capable of providing significantly greater rigidity and thus also a greater section modulus in conjunction with a sectional element 1.

[0020] In the Figure 2 A further preferred embodiment of a closure element 24 is shown, in which bevels 17 are present on the upper side of both lateral edges. Furthermore, an upper side 25 without an inlet element 21 is shown. Within the closure element 24, the bottom sealing strip 2 is arranged in an analogous manner, as in the Figure 1shown, has been drawn in. The formation of two lateral projections 3 and the area 4 located therebetween, in conjunction with the same design of the bottom sealing strip 2, also allows for secure sealing against incoming water masses via a contact surface 22.
