Description
[0001] The invention relates to a system with a table for use in a recreational vehicle.
[0002] A recreational vehicle is understood to be a vehicle or trailer which has at least one mobile element for camping or can at least temporarily have facilities for camping. A recreational vehicle is understood to be a camping vehicle. A recreational vehicle is understood to be a motorised recreational vehicle. In this case, a camping vehicle is understood to be a mobile home or a caravan, i.e. preferably those vehicles or trailers in which a user has the option of sleeping or living in this vehicle. Motorisation of the vehicles is not necessary. Another name for a mobile home is, for example, a motorhome. A caravan can alternatively be referred to as a caravan or camping trailer.
[0003] Tables for leisure and camping use are known in the prior art. Tables with base plates that can be freely placed on a surface are also known in the prior art.
[0004] US 5,037,232 describes a mechanism for locking telescopic objects and for releasing these objects from such a state by rotating the objects relative to each other. The object is illustrated and described in connection with a table attached to the floor of a vehicle, ship, or the like.
[0005] US 2016 / 0008080 A1 describes an expandable and foldable mayo stand comprising a support column with a first and a second end and a longitudinal axis. A tabletop is connected to the first end of the support column, and a base is connected to the second end of the support column. The base has a central portion with hinged wings; each wing has a plurality of legs connected to it by corresponding pin connections, allowing the legs to be folded from an unfolded configuration into a compact storage configuration.
[0006] One object of the present invention is to improve the state of the art. In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide a table for use in leisure or camping activities that is flexible in use, particularly in different locations. The table according to the invention should also be practical, lightweight, and robust at the same time.
[0007] This object is achieved by a system having the features of independent claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
[0008] The table leg's support feet serve to give the table a stable base. When the support feet are extended, the table touches the surface on which it is placed with the support feet and a lower end of the table leg, preferably only with the support feet, and even more preferably only with the respective ends of the support feet.
[0009] When the support feet are unfolded, they rest on the surface with all points, preferably with at least one point each.
[0010] According to the invention, the system's table can be attached to the floor in such a way that it can be used as a table inside the recreational vehicle. For accident safety in recreational vehicles, especially mobile homes, it is important that the table can be firmly attached to the floor.
[0011] Preferably, the table leg can be a table column.
[0012] The table according to the invention can advantageously be used flexibly both inside and outside a recreational vehicle. The table can be quickly and easily transported and set up or installed between the two locations. This is advantageously achieved without a base plate on the table frame or without an additional base plate, whereby the table according to the invention can save weight and space.
[0013] According to the invention, a reversibly detachable attachment of the table to the floor is realized by means of a hollow cylinder firmly connected to the floor, open at the top, into which the table leg can be fastened, in particular clamped. The height of the hollow cylinder is smaller than the length of the table leg.
[0014] Alternatively, according to the invention, the reversibly detachable fastening of the table to the floor is a hole arranged in the floor into which the table leg is precisely fitted.
[0015] According to a further preferred embodiment, the table further comprises a height-adjustable device on an outer side of the table leg, which prevents the support feet from folding out in a first position and does not prevent the support feet from folding out in a second position.
[0016] Preferably, the height-adjustable device is a reversibly detachable ring, in particular a locking ring, retaining ring or clamping ring.
[0017] The first position is preferably in a central area of the table leg, preferably in the middle of the entire length of the table leg. The second position is preferably at the end of the table leg furthest from the tabletop.
[0018] In the first position, the ring prevents the support feet from folding out; these preferably fold outwards automatically if the device, in particular the ring, is not present. This mechanism can preferably be implemented for each support foot using a spring. Thus, the ring can preferably be fastened in the first position, in which it prevents the support feet from folding out, so that the support feet continue to rest on the table leg. If the ring is released in the first position and moved towards the end of the table leg, i.e. towards the second position, the support feet fold outwards above the ring. If the ring is arranged in the second position, the support feet are folded completely outwards.
[0019] The preferred recreational vehicle is a camping vehicle.
[0020] According to yet another preferred embodiment, the support feet are each hinged to an end of the table leg facing away from the table top.
[0021] Preferably, the pivot points of the support feet are located in a plane that runs parallel to the plane of the table top.
[0022] According to a further embodiment, the pivot points of the support feet are arranged equidistantly on an outer surface of the table leg. In the case of N support feet, it is further preferred that the pivot points on the outer surface of the table leg are each arranged offset by 360° / N.
[0023] According to yet another embodiment, the support feet rest against the table leg when folded. In this case, the support feet preferably extend from the respective pivot points to the tabletop.
[0024] According to another preferred embodiment, the support legs each form an obtuse angle with the table leg when unfolded. An obtuse angle is an angle that is greater than 90° and less than 180°. This advantageously ensures that the support legs can support the table and the table leg. Particularly in the case of three support legs, the ends of the support legs can be in a plane, resting on a surface or on a floor, allowing the table and the table leg to be set upright.
[0025] Preferably, the surface is a substantially flat surface. The surface may be an outdoor ground surface, a campsite surface, or any other suitable surface on which a table can be placed.
[0026] An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and is explained in more detail in the following description. Figure 1 shows a table according to an embodiment of the invention, which is reversibly detachably attached to a floor in the interior of a recreational vehicle. Figure 2 shows the table of the embodiment of the Figure 1 , with the support feet extended and the table placed on a surface.
[0027] In Figure 1 A table 100 is shown, which can be used in a recreational vehicle or near a recreational vehicle, for example, at a campsite. The table 100 has a table top 110, which, when used as intended, is attached to an upper end 122 of a table leg 120. The table leg 120 is designed as a table column. Three support feet 130 are each pivoted to an end 124 of the table leg 120 facing away from the table top 110. In the illustration of the Figure 1The three support feet 130 rest against the table leg 120. The three support feet 130 are held in position by a retaining ring 160, which is height-adjustable on an outer side of the table leg 120. This means that the support feet 130 are prevented from unfolding by the retaining ring 160. Each support foot 130 has a spring that causes the respective support foot 130 to unfold.
[0028] In Figure 1 The table leg 120 is reversibly and detachably attached to the base 140 at the end 124 facing away from the table top 110. This is achieved in the present case by clamping the table leg 120 to the base 140.
[0029] Figure 2 shows the same embodiment of the table 100 as the Figure 1 , the support feet 130 are shown here in the unfolded state, so that the table 100 can be placed on a surface 150, as shown here.
[0030] If the table 100 starting from the in Figure 1When the table leg 120 is released from the floor 140 inside the recreational vehicle in the state shown, the retaining ring 160 can be moved to the end 124 of the table leg 120 facing away from the table top 110, so that the three support feet 130 are folded outward away from the table leg 120 until each support foot 130 forms an obtuse angle of between 120 and 140° with the table leg 120. The three ends of the support feet 130 facing away from the pivot points lie in one plane and rest on the surface 150, which can be, for example, a surface of a campsite.
