Description

[0001] The invention relates to a motor mount for fastening an electric motor to a support frame of a vehicle and to a vehicle having such a motor mount.

[0002] For the general state of the art, reference is made to CN 106741185 A, CN 110239325 A and WO 2020 / 003835 A1.

[0003] CN 106741185 A discloses a vehicle frame for a truck, comprising a frame body, a lateral battery pack mounting device, and a connecting device between the frame body and an engine. The frame body has two longitudinal members made of an aluminum alloy, which are connected to one another via cross members made of an aluminum alloy. The battery pack mounting device has a rectangular frame on the bottom side, which comprises two longitudinal members connected to one another via a plurality of cross members. Furthermore, the battery pack mounting device has two connecting plates oriented perpendicular to the rectangular frame, via which the battery pack mounting device is connected to one of the longitudinal members of the frame body. The connecting device between the frame body and the motor consists of four motor mounts, each having an upper cover plate and a perforated plate perpendicular to it with vertical slots for fastening the motor.

[0004] CN 110239325 A discloses a drive motor suspension of a vehicle. The drive motor suspension comprises two engine mounting brackets arranged on either side of the engine, the upper sides of the engine mounting brackets extending to the lateral top position of the engine and connected to engine mounting cross members. The total width of the two engine mounting cross members and the engine is smaller than the distance between two vehicle frame longitudinal members. Suspension brackets are connected to the undersides of the engine mounting cross members. The ends of the two suspension brackets remote from the engine mounting cross members are connected to the vehicle frame longitudinal members, which are located correspondingly close to the ends of the two suspension brackets. Suspension buffers are arranged between the engine mounting cross members and the suspension brackets.

[0005] WO 2020 / 003835 A1 discloses a holding device for vehicle batteries. The holding device suspends a battery pack from a side member forming part of a ladder frame of a vehicle. The holding device comprises a frame-side bracket that is bolted to an outer side surface of the side member at a plurality of bolt fastening parts arranged in a grid arrangement. An elastic coupling part elastically couples the battery pack and the frame-side bracket. A spacer is interposed between the outer side surface of the side member and the frame-side bracket. The spacer comprises a plurality of columnar elements corresponding to the plurality of bolt fastening parts and a connecting part connecting the plurality of columnar elements.

[0006] In commercial vehicles, the engine is generally mounted on chassis frame brackets, which are usually present in multiple locations and suspend the engine from the vehicle frame at multiple attachment points (e.g., using a 4-point mount). The design of the brackets—also known as engine mounts or engine brackets—is determined by the force loads, so the engine brackets should exhibit the highest possible load-bearing capacity and rigidity, especially in the direction of the operating forces.

[0007] Due to the increasing electrification of commercial vehicles and the associated use of electric motors instead of combustion engines, new requirements are also being placed on the corresponding engine mounts. The two types of engines generally differ in their structural design (dimensions, weight, and weight distribution), so there is a need for an improved and / or alternative solution for mounting an electric motor to a vehicle's support frame - especially compared to the concepts used to mount combustion engines.

[0008] An engine suspension system of an electric commercial vehicle is known from CN 109 094 347 A.

[0009] Accordingly, the object of the invention is to provide a solution to this requirement that avoids the disadvantages of conventional techniques. In particular, the object of the invention is to provide a solution that allows for a simple and secure attachment of an electric motor to a vehicle.

[0010] These objects can be achieved with the features of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments and applications of the invention are subject to the dependent claims and are explained in more detail in the following description, with partial reference to the figures.

[0011] According to a first independent solution concept, a vehicle, preferably electrically powered, with an electric motor is provided. The vehicle is preferably a commercial vehicle, i.e., a vehicle whose design and equipment are designed for the transportation of persons, the transport of goods, or the towing of trailers. For example, the vehicle could be a truck, a bus, and / or a semi-trailer truck.

[0012] The vehicle comprises a support frame having two longitudinal beams (e.g., C-profile beams) that are spaced apart from one another and connected to one another via a plurality of cross beams. The vehicle further comprises a holding device by means of which the electric motor (e.g., an electric traction motor) is attached to the support frame. The holding device comprises at least one, preferably four, motor mounts with the following components: a first fastening region that is preferably releasably attached to one of the longitudinal beams; a second fastening region that is preferably releasably attached to the electric motor or a support structure of the electric motor; and a spacer connecting the first and second fastening regions, which space the second fastening region from the first fastening region such that the second fastening region is arranged below the longitudinal beams in the vehicle height direction H.This advantageously allows the electric motor to be installed as low as possible in the vehicle, thereby lowering the vehicle's center of gravity overall, which has a positive effect on driving behavior.

[0013] The vehicle further comprises at least one traction battery module. The traction battery module, which can also be referred to as a high-voltage storage module or traction battery module, can, for example, have a plurality of interconnected battery cells. The aforementioned traction battery module is fastened to the support frame by means of the at least one motor mount—preferably via its first fastening region. Additionally or alternatively, the at least one motor mount serves both to fasten the electric motor to the support frame and to fasten the traction battery module to the support frame. In other words, both the electric motor and the traction battery module can be fastened to the support frame via the at least one motor mount. The motor mount thus advantageously fulfills a dual function by enabling both the electric motor and the traction battery module to be connected to the carrier frame using a single component. Accordingly, the motor mount can also be referred to as a motor-battery mount in this context.

[0014] According to a first aspect of the invention, the spacer can have an extension of at least 10 cm, preferably at least 15 cm, in the vehicle height direction. Additionally or alternatively, the second fastening area can be arranged at least 10 cm, preferably at least 15 cm, below the longitudinal members in the vehicle height direction. In this context, the term "below" the longitudinal members can be understood in particular as below the lower edge or below the lower limit of the longitudinal members.

[0015] In order to advantageously achieve the most stable suspension possible for the motor, according to a further aspect of the invention, the second fastening area (which can be designed, for example, in the form of a single through-hole for receiving a fastening means) can be arranged at the height of the center of gravity of the electric motor in the vehicle height direction. In other words, the electric motor can be mounted at the height of the center of gravity. The terms "at the height of the center of gravity" or "at the height of the center of gravity" can be understood to mean that the second fastening area (in the vehicle height direction) is located essentially at the same height as the center of gravity of the electric motor. Preferably, the height of the second fastening area deviates by less than 5 cm from the height of the center of gravity of the electric motor. Additionally or alternatively, the center of gravity of the electric motor can also be arranged below the longitudinal members in the vehicle height direction. As already mentioned above, the term "below" the longitudinal members can also be understood here as meaning below the lower edge or lower limit of the longitudinal members. This can also advantageously lower the vehicle's center of gravity, which has a positive impact on handling.

[0016] According to a further aspect of the invention, the at least one motor mount can be designed as a substantially L-shaped molded part. The molded part - preferably an aluminum molded part - should have a first leg and a second leg, preferably oriented substantially perpendicular to the first leg, wherein the first fastening region is arranged on the first leg and the second fastening region is arranged on the second leg. The second leg should preferably be shorter than the first leg. For example, the first leg can have a length of approximately 35-45 cm, for example 40 cm, and the second leg a length of approximately 10-15 cm, for example 13 cm. Furthermore, there should preferably be no further support structures between the two legs. The advantage of this design is that the second fastening area is located as directly as possible below the corresponding longitudinal member of the support frame and thus support on a broad bearing base can be achieved.

[0017] According to a further aspect of the invention, the traction battery module, the first fastening region of the at least one motor mount, and the longitudinal member, i.e., the longitudinal member to which the corresponding motor mount is fastened, can comprise through-openings that correspond to one another, preferably arranged in a grid pattern. For example, the through-openings can be formed as a plurality of holes arranged in a square and / or rectangular pattern (e.g., grid holes). The term "corresponding" in this context can be understood to mean that all three components each comprise the same hole pattern, i.e., the same number of through-openings in the same arrangement. Fastening means extending through the corresponding through-openings can be accommodated in the through-openings for the non-positive and / or positive fixation of said components. The fastening elements can be, for example, screws, bolts, and / or rivets. Overall, this advantageously achieves a high degree of rigidity for the protruding connection.

[0018] According to a further aspect of the invention, the first fastening region of the at least one motor mount can be pinned and / or screwed and / or riveted between the longitudinal member and the traction battery module. Additionally or alternatively, the traction battery module can be fastened on the outside of the vehicle to the at least one motor mount, preferably on the outside of the vehicle to its first fastening region. In other words, the traction battery module can have a greater transverse distance from the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle than the corresponding motor mount. Additionally or alternatively, the traction battery module and the longitudinal member can be fastened on opposite sides of the first fastening region of the at least one motor mount or of the at least one motor-battery mount.Preferably, the traction battery module is mounted on a side of the first mounting area on the outside of the vehicle, and the longitudinal member is mounted on a side of the first mounting area on the inside of the vehicle. As already mentioned above, the combination of the engine and battery mounts in a support bracket advantageously provides a component-free option for connecting the various components.

[0019] According to a further aspect of the invention, the first fastening area of the at least one engine mount can be fastened to one of the longitudinal members on the outside of the vehicle. Additionally or alternatively, the first fastening area of the at least one engine mount can also be fastened as close as possible to the shear center of one of the longitudinal members. The "shear center" can be understood as the point of a profile cross-section through which the resultant of the transverse forces must pass in order to achieve a torsion-free force application, or to prevent torsion from being exerted on the cross-section.

[0020] To further advantageously achieve a damping effect in the engine mounting, the second fastening area of the at least one engine mount can additionally or alternatively also comprise an elastic bearing, preferably a rubber-metal buffer, for vibration damping. Such components are generally known in the prior art and usually consist of a metallic bearing bush surrounded by at least one rubber body. It is particularly advantageous in this context if the second fastening area is designed as a single through-bore into which the aforementioned elastic bearing is pressed.

[0021] According to a further aspect of the invention, the holding device can comprise several, preferably at least four, engine mounts. The engine mounts are preferably of identical design, although the engine mounts can alternatively also be designed—at least partially—according to different embodiments described in this document. If the holding device comprises at least four engine mounts, at least two engine mounts should preferably be attached to each of the longitudinal members at mounting positions offset in the vehicle's longitudinal direction. This advantageously allows a particularly stable suspension, for example in the form of a 4-point bearing, to be achieved.

[0022] According to a further aspect of the invention, a transverse distance between the two longitudinal members can widen in a front region of the vehicle. In other words, the two longitudinal members should not run parallel over their entire length, but rather diverge in a front region. In order to nevertheless advantageously enable a mounting position that is as consistent as possible, the first fastening regions of the engine mounts can each comprise at least one distance compensation element (e.g. in the form of at least one spacer sleeve). The respective extent of this element can be adapted in the vehicle transverse direction to the transverse distance of the respective longitudinal member at the corresponding mounting positions such that the second fastening regions and / or the outer sides of all engine mounts on a longitudinal member have the same transverse distance from the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle. In other words, the distance compensation elements can compensate for the change in the longitudinal member profile in such a way that the engine mounts or in particular their outer sides on the outside of the vehicle are arranged flush in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

[0023] According to a further aspect of the invention, the respective distance compensation elements can be designed in the form of spacer sleeves. The spacer sleeves are preferably arranged concentrically around the aforementioned through-openings of the first fastening region. Additionally or alternatively, the outer sides of all motor mounts on a longitudinal member can form, in sections, a flat contact surface perpendicular to the vehicle's transverse direction for at least one traction battery module. This advantageously provides a simple way to compensate for the changing longitudinal member spacing.

[0024] According to a further aspect of the invention, the vehicle can comprise at least two traction battery modules, wherein at least one traction battery module is attached to each of the longitudinal members via at least two motor mounts. For example, the vehicle can comprise a left-side and a right-side traction battery module, wherein each of the traction battery modules is attached to the support frame by means of two motor mounts.

[0025] According to a further independent aspect of the invention, a motor mount is provided for attaching a motor, preferably an electric motor, to a support frame of a vehicle. The support frame can, for example, have two longitudinal beams (e.g., C-profile beams) that are spaced apart from one another and connected to one another via a plurality of crossbeams. The aforementioned motor mount, which in this context can also be referred to as an engine mount or console, is designed as a substantially L-shaped molded part (e.g., an aluminum molded part) having a first leg and a second leg that is preferably shorter than the first leg. For example, the first leg can have a length of approximately 35-45 cm, for example, 40 cm, and the second leg can have a length of approximately 10-15 cm, for example, 13 cm. The two legs are preferably substantially perpendicular to one another.Furthermore, there should preferably be no further supporting structures and / or further connections between the two legs.

[0026] Furthermore, the first leg comprises a first fastening area for, preferably detachably, fastening the engine mount to the support frame of the vehicle. Furthermore, the second leg comprises a second fastening area for, preferably detachably, fastening the engine mount to the engine or a support structure of the engine.

[0027] The first fastening area comprises a plurality of through-openings, preferably parallel to one another and / or arranged in a grid pattern, for receiving fastening means, preferably for receiving pins, screws, and / or rivets. The first fastening area preferably comprises at least 10, particularly preferably at least 15 through-openings. Furthermore, the through-openings should preferably be arranged in a square and / or rectangular pattern.

[0028] The respective through-holes of the first mounting area are each concentrically surrounded by spacer sleeves, the length of which allows the distance between the first leg and the support frame to be adjusted when attaching the engine mount to the vehicle's support frame. In other words, the distance of the first leg from the support frame can be varied using the aforementioned spacer sleeves.

[0029] According to a further aspect of the invention, the second fastening region can comprise only a through-hole for receiving a fastening means, preferably for receiving a pin, a screw, and / or a rivet. Additionally or alternatively, the second fastening region can comprise an elastic bearing, preferably in the form of a rubber-metal buffer. The elastic bearing is preferably pressed into the aforementioned through-hole.

[0030] Further details and advantages of the invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show: Figure 1: various schematic views (side view, front view, and top view) of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the invention. Figure 2: two different views of a schematic detail of an engine mount of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the invention. Figure 3: various views of an engine mount for attaching an engine to a support frame of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the invention; and Figure 4: schematic top view of a detail of an engine mount of a vehicle according to a further embodiment of the invention.

[0031] Identical or functionally equivalent elements are designated by the same reference numerals in all figures and are partly not described separately.

[0032] Figure 1shows various schematic views (side view, front view, and top view) of a vehicle 10 according to a first embodiment of the invention.

[0033] In the present case, the vehicle 10 is – purely by way of example – a semitrailer combination consisting of a tractor unit and a semitrailer. The various views of the vehicle 10 designated a), b), and c), as well as the directions marked therein by arrows, serve merely to clarify the directional information used throughout this document, including a vehicle longitudinal direction L, a vehicle vertical direction H, and a vehicle transverse direction Q. In accordance with common usage, these three directions are oriented along the main axes or axes of symmetry of the vehicle 10 and are mutually perpendicular to one another. In detail, illustration a) shows a side view of the vehicle 10 in a plane perpendicular to the vehicle transverse direction Q, illustration b) shows a front view of the vehicle 10 in a plane perpendicular to the vehicle longitudinal direction L, and illustration c) shows a plan view of the vehicle 10 in a plane perpendicular to the vehicle vertical direction H.Based on these directions, further details on the design of the engine mount will be discussed in more detail below.

[0034] Figure 2 shows two different views of a schematic detail of (the same) engine mount of a vehicle 10 according to an embodiment of the invention. The vehicle 10, not shown in detail here, has a support frame 2 of composite construction, which comprises two longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 that are spaced apart from one another and connected to one another via a plurality of cross members 2a 1 , 2a 2 , 2a 3 , 2a 4 . Merely as an example, the two longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 are designed as C-profile members running in the vehicle's longitudinal direction L.

[0035] Furthermore, the vehicle comprises an electric motor 1 (e.g. an electric traction motor), which is fastened to the support frame 2 by means of a holding device 3 described in more detail below. For this purpose, the holding device 3 in the present merely exemplary case comprises four separate motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 for implementing a 4-point mounting of the electric motor 1. The individual motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 each have a first fastening area 3a, which is fastened, preferably detachably, to one of the longitudinal beams 2b 1 , 2b 2 (for better clarity, the corresponding area - as well as the following - is only shown for the motor mount 3.1 in Figure 2marked). Furthermore, each of the motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 comprises a second fastening area 3b, which is fastened to the electric motor 1, preferably detachably. Furthermore, it is provided that the motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 each comprise a spacer 3c connecting the first and second fastening areas 3a, 3b, which spacers the second fastening area 3b from the first fastening area 3a in such a way (in the present case, for example, about 15 cm) that the second fastening area 3b is arranged below the longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 in the vehicle height direction H. As can also be seen in the two views of the Figure 2As can be seen, this advantageously achieves an overall "deep" installation position of the electric motor 1 in the vehicle 10 - relative to the vehicle height direction H. This is particularly advantageous if the center of gravity of the electric motor 1 is located below the longitudinal members in the vehicle height direction and / or if the second fastening area 3b of the motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 is located approximately at the height of the center of gravity of the electric motor 1. This advantageously provides the best possible support for the electric motor 1 on a broad bearing base at the height of the center of gravity.

[0036] Figure 3 shows three different views of a motor mount 3.1 for fastening a motor, preferably an electric motor 1, to a support frame 2 of a vehicle 10 according to an embodiment of the invention. The corresponding support frame 2 can, for example, Figure 2shown, purely by way of example, have two longitudinal beams 2b 1 , 2b 2 which are spaced apart from one another and connected to one another via a plurality of cross beams 2a 1 , 2a 2 , 2a 3 , 2a 4. The engine mount 3.1, which can also be referred to as an engine suspension or console, is designed as a substantially L-shaped molded part (e.g. an aluminum molded part) and has a first leg 3I 1 and a second leg 3I 2 which is preferably shorter than the first leg 3I 1. Purely by way of example, the first leg 3I 1 can have a length of approximately 40 cm and the second leg 3I 2 can have a length of approximately 13 cm. The two legs 3I 1 , 3I 2 are preferably substantially perpendicular to one another. Furthermore, preferably no further support structures and / or further connections should be present between the two legs 3I 1 , 3I 2 .

[0037] The first leg 3I 1 , which is preferably designed as a substantially planar molded part, comprises a first fastening area 3a for the preferably detachable fastening of the engine mount 3.1 to the support frame 2, preferably to a longitudinal member 2b 1 , 2b 2 , of the vehicle 10. The first fastening area 3a can comprise a plurality of through openings 5, which preferably run parallel to one another, for receiving fastening means, preferably for receiving pins, screws and / or rivets.

[0038] In the present case, the motor mount 3.1 comprises, by way of example only, 18 through-holes arranged in spaced-apart rows of 5 or 4 holes each. Furthermore, the first leg 3I1 comprises a spacer 3c, which separates the first fastening area 3a from the second leg 3I2 or the apex of the two legs 3I1 and 3I2.

[0039] The second leg 312, preferably also formed as a substantially flat molded part, further comprises a second fastening region 3b for the preferably detachable fastening of the motor mount 3.1 to the motor or a support structure of the motor. The second fastening region 3b can be designed in the form of merely a through-hole for receiving a fastening means, preferably for receiving a pin, a screw, and / or a rivet. Furthermore, the second fastening region 3b can comprise an elastic bearing 7, preferably in the form of a rubber-metal buffer, which is preferably pressed into the aforementioned through-hole.

[0040] Optionally, the respective through-holes 5 of the motor mount 3.1 can be surrounded concentrically by spacer sleeves 6 - at least on one side. As described in connection with Figure 4As will be illustrated, the distance between the first leg 3I 1 and the support frame 2 can be adjusted via their length when attaching the engine mount 3.1 to the support frame 2 of the vehicle 10. In other words, the distance of the first leg 3I 1 from the support frame can be varied by means of the corresponding spacer sleeves 6.

[0041] Figure 4 shows a schematic plan view of a section of an engine mount of a vehicle 10 according to a further embodiment of the invention. The vehicle 10, not shown in detail, again comprises a support frame 2, which has two longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 spaced apart from one another and connected to one another via a plurality of cross members 2a 1 , 2a 2 , 2a 3 , 2a 4 , wherein an electric motor 1 is fastened to the support frame 2 by means of a plurality of motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 already discussed above.

[0042] In contrast to, for example, Figure 2In the embodiment shown, the vehicle 10 additionally comprises two traction battery modules 4.1 and 4.2, which in turn can each have a plurality of interconnected battery cells. As shown in the plan view in Figure 3 As can be seen, the two traction battery modules 4.1, 4.2 are fastened to the support frame 2 via the motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, wherein in detail each of the two traction battery modules 4.1, 4.2 is connected to one of the longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 via at least two motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4. The motor mounts thus advantageously fulfill a dual function in that they serve both to fasten the electric motor 1 to the support frame 2 and to fasten the traction battery modules 4.1, 4.2 to the support frame 2, so that the corresponding motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 can also be referred to as motor-battery mounts in this context.

[0043] Preferably, the removal of the corresponding traction battery modules 4.1, 4.2 is carried out in that the respective traction battery module 4.1, 4.2, the respective first fastening area 3a of the motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and the respective longitudinal member 2b 1 , 2b 2 comprise through openings 5 corresponding to one another (cf. also Figure 2). This means that all components should each have the same hole pattern, i.e. the same number of through-holes in the same arrangement. For attachment, fastening means extending through the through-holes 5 can then be accommodated for the non-positive and / or positive fixing of said components. For example, the first fastening area 3a of the respective motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 can be pinned and / or screwed and / or riveted between the respective longitudinal member 2b 1 , 2b 2 and the respective traction battery module 4.1, 4.2. As further shown in Figure 4 As can be seen, the attachment of the traction battery modules 4.1, 4.2 is preferably carried out on the outside of the vehicle on the engine mounts, so that they have a greater transverse distance from the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle 10 than the corresponding engine mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4.

[0044] In the present case Figure 4In the exemplary case in which the longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 of the vehicle 10 widen in a front area of the vehicle 10, ie the two longitudinal members 2b 1 , 2b 2 do not run parallel at the same distance over their entire length, a corresponding design of the motor mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 can nevertheless advantageously create a mounting position for the traction battery modules 4.1, 4.2 that is as constant as possible. For this purpose, the first fastening areas 3a of the engine mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 can each comprise at least one distance compensation element (e.g. in the form of the aforementioned spacer sleeves 6), the respective extent of which in the vehicle transverse direction Q is adapted to the transverse distance of the respective longitudinal member 2b 1 , 2b 2 at the corresponding mounting positions in such a way that the second fastening areas 3b and / or the outer sides of the engine mounts 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 on a longitudinal member 2b 1 , 2b 2 have the same transverse distance to the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle 10. In the present exemplary case, the spacer sleeves 6 surrounding the through openings 5 (see also . Figure 2 ) of the "front" engine mounts 3.1 and 3.3 are longer than those of the "rear" engine mounts 3.2 and 3.4, so that the distance between the two 2b 1 , 2b 2 , which varies at the respective mounting positions, can be compensated for and a flat contact surface, which is perpendicular to the vehicle transverse direction Q in sections, can be formed for the respective traction battery modules 4.1 and 4.2.

[0045] Although the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that various changes may be made and equivalents may be substituted without departing from the scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not intended to be limited to the disclosed embodiments, but is intended to include all embodiments falling within the scope of the appended claims.
