[0003] As one of production (assembly) processes for rolling bearings, there is a process in which a plurality of probes are brought into contact with a groove bottom of a bearing race (an outer ring, an inner ring, or a ring-shaped member) to measure a groove diameter dimension from displacement amounts of the probes. Conventionally, in measurement of this groove diameter, a groove diameter has been measured with a rotation axis of a bearing race disposed in a vertical direction (gravity direction) (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This is because, in equipment that horizontally conveys rolling bearings, bearing races can be measured in the same posture as they are conveyed to a groove diameter measurement position, making it easier to handle the bearing races during production of the rolling bearings. In this method, an axial center of the race is determined by a measuring force applied when the probe comes into contact with the bearing race.

A bearing groove diameter measuring method (bearing race groove diameter measuring method, ring-shaped member groove diameter measuring method) described herein is suitably used in, for example, a manufacturing process of a rolling bearing.<First embodiment>
[0016] FIG. 1 is an overall configuration view of a groove diameter measuring device 100. The measuring device (hereinafter also referred to as a groove diameter measuring device) 100 includes a measuring unit 11 and a control unit 13. The measuring unit 11 includes a gripping unit 15, a turning unit 17, a transfer unit 19, an operation mechanism 21, and a position sensor 23. In the present embodiment, the bearing race (ring-shaped member) is an outer ring 25 of the rolling bearing. In the following description, common members and parts will be denoted by the same reference signs, and description thereof will be simplified or omitted.

The gripping unit 15 is supported on the turning table 17a via, for example, a linear guide (linear-motion guide mechanism). [0021] A configuration of the operation mechanism 21 differs depending on whether the bearing race (ring-shaped member) to be measured is an outer ring or an inner ring. In the present embodiment, the bearing race (ring-shaped member) is the outer ring 25, and the operation mechanism 21 includes an upper arm (support member) 31, a lower arm 33, and a rotation support portion 35. The upper arm 31 is fixed to a support (not illustrated). The rotation support portion 35 is configured to include an electric actuator such as a motor mounted on a support base 37. The rotation support portion 35 rotatably supports a longitudinal intermediate portion of the lower arm 33, and enables the lower arm 33 to perform a tilting motion in a direction of arrow R2. Thereby, one end part 33a of the lower arm 33 is movable in a vertical direction.
[0022] The upper arm (support member) 31 is formed of an elongated member. One end part 31a of the upper arm 31 in a longitudinal direction is disposed in an upper region of a region that is on a radially inward side of an inner circumferential surface of the outer ring 25 gripped by the gripping unit 15 at the measurement position. A pair of probes (fixed-side probes, supports, contact portions, convex portions) 41A and 41B that come into contact with a groove bottom of a raceway groove 25d on an upper side of the outer ring 25 are provided at one end part 31a of the upper arm 31. The upper arm 31 has two probes 41A and 41B each having an upwardly convex contour. The two probes 41A and 41B are disposed apart from each other in a horizontal direction. Two vertices of the probes 41A and 41B are disposed on the same horizontal straight line. The probes 41A and 41B each have a convex surface. The convex surface can have a spherical and / or curved surface. A top surface of the probe 41A has a first curvature. A top surface of the probe 41B has a second curvature. The first curvature and the second curvature are respectively included in two vertical planes with respect to one horizontal straight line. In one example, the raceway groove 25d of the outer ring 25 has a concave outline. When a radius of curvature of a groove shape (groove curvature) of the raceway groove 25d is R1 and a radius of curvature of the top surfaces of the probes 41A and 41B is R2, R1 / R2 can be set to approximately 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, or 2.5 or more. For example, R1 / R2 is set to 1.0 or more and 1.8 or less. The above-described numerical values are merely examples and are not limited thereto. When the outer ring 25 (ring-shaped member) is supported on the two probes 41A and 41B by appropriately setting the convex shape, a position and a posture of the outer ring 25 is appropriately adjusted. The same applies to the inner ring to be described later. The position sensor 23 is fixed to another end part 31b of the upper arm 31 on a side opposite to the one end part 31a. The position sensor 23 may be a displacement sensor, and a contact type or non-contact type sensor can be used. As the position sensor 23, various types of sensors such as, for example, an eddy current type, an optical type, an electrical resistance type, an ultrasonic type, a laser type, and the like can be used. Further, the position sensor 23 is not limited to being fixed to the upper arm 31, but may also be fixed to another member.
[0023] The lower arm 33 is formed of an elongated member. One end part 33a of the lower arm 33 in a longitudinal direction is disposed below the one end part 31a of the upper arm 31, that is, in a lower region than a region that is on a radially inward side of the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring 25 gripped by the gripping unit 15 at the measurement position. A movable probe (movable-side probe) 43 that comes into contact with a groove bottom of the raceway groove 25d on a lower side (lowermost portion) of the outer ring 25 is provided at one end part 33a of the lower arm 33. The movable probe 43 comes into contact with a groove bottom surface of the raceway groove 25d at a lowermost portion. A height position of the another end part 33b of the lower arm 33 on a side opposite to the one end part 33a is detected by the position sensor 23 provided on the upper arm 31. A distance from the height detection position by the position sensor 23 of the lower arm 33 to a rotation center position (rotation support portion 35) of the lower arm 33 is known, and a distance from the rotation center position to the movable probe 43 is also known. Therefore, a height position at which the movable probe 43 comes into contact with the raceway groove 25d can be calculated by a geometric calculation from a height detection value of the another end part 33b from the position sensor 23. Further, the detection of the height position described above can be simplified and may also be performed by determining a difference from a predetermined reference height. In one example, the two probes 41A and 41B have convex surfaces of the same shape and are disposed at the same height position. The movable probe 43 has a convex surface disposed at a different height position from the probes 41A and 41B. The convex surface (a top surface of the convex surface, a vertex of the convex surface, a center of curvature of the convex surface) of the movable probe 43 is disposed on a vertical line passing through an intermediate position between the two probes 41A and 41B. For example, the two convex surfaces of the probes 41A and 41B each include a top surface having a curved outline that is a part of a circle with respect to a predetermined center position, and center positions of the two circles are at the same height position. The convex surface of the movable probe 43 includes a top surface having a curved outline that is a part of a circle with respect to a predetermined center position. The center position of the circle for the convex surface of the movable probe 43 is disposed on a vertical line passing through a horizontal midpoint of the center positions of the two circles for the convex surfaces of the probes 41A and 41B. A groove diameter of the raceway groove 25d is calculated based on a measurement result of the height position of the movable probe 43 from the position sensor 23. The same applies to the inner ring to be described later. In one example, a distance from the height detection position by the position sensor 23 of the lower arm 33 to the rotation center position (rotation support portion 35) of the lower arm 33 is set to be smaller, equal to, or larger than the distance from the rotation center position thereof to the movable probe 43. Based on the ratio of the distances, the value of the height position of the movable probe 43 can be enlarged or reduced and measured by the position sensor 23. The same applies to the inner ring to be described later.
[0024] In one example, it is preferable that each of the probes 41A and 41B and the movable probe 43 described above be a spherical body having the same or substantially the same size as that of rolling elements (balls) used in the outer ring 25 to be measured, or a spherical body having a radius of curvature smaller than a radius of curvature of the raceway groove 25d. Also, the probes 41A and 41B and the movable probe 43 are not limited to being spherical, and may be formed so that a part of the surface thereof has a spherical surface that constitutes a spherical body of the above-described size. Since the surfaces of the probes 41A and 41B and the movable probe 43 are spherical, they are positioned in point contact with the raceway groove 25d, and thereby a measurement accuracy can be improved.

This is because, when the pair of probes 41A and 41B come into contact with the raceway groove 25d, the outer ring 25 automatically moves to an intermediate position between the pair of probes 41A and 41B due to gravity. The numerical value described above is merely an example, and the present invention is not limited thereto.

In this manner, it becomes a state in which a weight of the outer ring 25 is supported by the pair of probes 41A and 41B (S4). A central axis of the outer ring 25 is disposed horizontally, and the probes 41A and 42B of the upper arm (support member) come into contact with the groove bottom surface of the raceway groove 25d to support a weight of the outer ring 25.

Claims
1. A bearing groove diameter measuring method comprising: preparing a ring-shaped member (25, 26) having a raceway groove (25d, 26d) formed on an inner circumferential surface or an outer circumferential surface; supporting the ring-shaped member (25, 26) using a support member (31, 34), where a central axis of the ring-shaped member (25, 26) is disposed horizontally and the support member comes into contact with a groove bottom surface of the raceway groove (25d, 26d) to support the ring-shaped member (25, 26); measuring a height position of a movable probe (43, 44) in a state in which the movable probe (43, 44) is placed on the groove bottom surface; and calculating a groove diameter of the raceway groove (25d, 26d) based on a measurement result of the height position of the movable probe (43, 44), characterized in that the measurement of the height position comprises: preparing an arm (33, 32) having a first portion, a second portion, and an intermediate portion, the movable probe (43, 44) being provided at the first portion, the intermediate portion being disposed between the first portion and the second portion in a longitudinal direction of the arm (33, 32), a rotation center position of the intermediate portion being rotatably supported by a rotation support portion so as to allow the arm (33, 32) to perform a tilting motion; and obtaining the height position of the movable probe (43, 44) based on a result of detecting the height position of the second portion of the arm (33, 32) with a sensor (23).
2. The measuring method according to claim 1, wherein the support member (31, 34) has two convex portions disposed apart from each other in a horizontal direction, and the two convex portions each have an upwardly convex contour.
3. The measuring method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ring-shaped member (25) is an outer ring having the raceway groove (25d) formed on an inner circumferential surface, and the movable probe (43) comes into contact with the groove bottom surface at a lowermost portion of the raceway groove (25d).
4. The measuring method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ring-shaped member (26) is an inner ring having the raceway groove (26d) formed on an outer circumferential surface, and the movable probe (44) comes into contact with the groove bottom surface at an uppermost portion of the raceway groove (26d).
5. A manufacturing method for a rolling bearing using the measuring method according to any one of claims 1 to 4.
6. A manufacturing method for a machine using the manufacturing method for a rolling bearing according to claim 5.
7. A manufacturing method for a vehicle using the manufacturing method for a rolling bearing according to claim 5.

A bearing groove diameter measuring device comprising: a support member (31, 34) that supports a ring-shaped member (25, 26) having a raceway groove (25d, 26d) formed on an inner circumferential surface or an outer circumferential surface, and coming into contact with a groove bottom surface of the raceway groove (25d, 26d) to support the ring-shaped member (25, 26) while a central axis of the ring-shaped member (25, 26) is disposed horizontally; a movable probe (43, 44) that is disposed to be movable and placed on the groove bottom surface of the ring-shaped member (25, 26) supported by the support member (31, 34); an arm (33, 32) having a first portion, a second portion, and an intermediate portion, the movable probe (43, 44) being provided at the first portion, the intermediate portion being disposed between the first portion and the second portion in a longitudinal direction of the arm (33, 32), a rotation center position of the intermediate portion being rotatably supported by a rotation support portion so as to allow the arm (33, 32) to perform a tilting motion; a sensor (23) that measures a height position of the second portion of the arm (33, 32) in a state in which the movable probe (43, 44) is placed on the groove bottom surface; and a calculation unit (13) that calculates a groove diameter of the raceway groove (25d, 26d) based on a measurement result of the height position.
9. The measuring device according to claim 8, wherein the support member (31, 34) has two convex portions disposed apart from each other in a horizontal direction, and the two convex portions each have an upwardly convex contour.

The measuring device according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the ring-shaped member (25) is an outer ring having the raceway groove (25d) formed on an inner circumferential surface, and the movable probe (43) comes into contact with the groove bottom surface at a lowermost portion of the raceway groove (25d).
11. The measuring device according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the ring-shaped member (26) is an inner ring having the raceway groove (26d) formed on an outer circumferential surface, and the movable probe (44) comes into contact with the groove bottom surface at an uppermost portion of the raceway groove (26d).
