Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a net holder for a basketball net and discloses a device for mounting the net holder on an existing ring tube.
[0002] To remove basketball hoops or replace the net, a ladder is required, as basketball hoops are mounted at a height of over 3 meters. These ladders are generally not available on playgrounds, especially for recreational sports. This leads to play without a net, which can cause a ball thrown through the hoop to bounce uncontrollably, requiring the player to retrieve it.
[0003] US 3 595 573 A (D1) describes a basketball hoop in which the net's support loops are secured against removal from their support hooks on a main hoop by a removable locking ring, which, in the operating position, closes the opening in each hook. The locking ring consists of two halves pivotally connected to each other and having contacting radial extensions at their free ends. A spring-loaded sleeve assembly is attached to the hoop holder and, in the assembled and operational position, engages over and around the aforementioned extensions. Locking means are provided to prevent retraction of the sleeve, thus making removal of the locking ring and net impossible.
[0004] CN 111 544 869 A (D2) describes a basketball stand in which a limiting mechanism is firmly connected to a basket rim. The limiting mechanism is distributed along the circumferential direction of the basket rim, and a plurality of positioning holes are formed in the limiting mechanism. It also includes a net suspension mechanism composed of a plurality of tension rings and U-shaped springs for connecting two adjacent tension rings. The net suspension mechanism is distributed along the circumferential direction of the inner side wall of the limiting mechanism. Bolts aligned with the positioning holes are arranged on the tension rings. Furthermore, rope grooves are formed in the tops of the ends of the bolts, near the tension rings. Furthermore, hanging ropes for connecting the basket net are arranged in the rope grooves.Additionally, a horizontal telescopic mechanism is arranged in a base, the movable end of the horizontal telescopic mechanism is connected to a vertical telescopic mechanism, and the movable end of the vertical telescopic mechanism is connected to a rotating mechanism. Furthermore, a radial drive piece and a plurality of towing hooks, which correspond to the pulling rings in the distribution, are arranged on a rotating platform of the rotating mechanism. The invention makes it possible to complete the work of changing nets on the ground and avoid hazards caused by the climbing process.
[0005] Neither D1 nor D2, alone or in combination, describe a net holder as claimed in claims 1 to 11.
[0006] A different approach is taken with DE 10 2016 008 550 A1. Here, the net holder comprises a ring tube, with hooks for attaching a net distributed along a circumferential line and over the circumference. This prior art proposes that the ring tube can be at least reduced in size by hand or by means of a device while generating spring tension, so that the ring tube can be inserted into a receptacle. Upon reduction of the spring tension due to expansion, at least one clamping connection with the receptacle is established.
[0007] A tensioning bend section and a pipe connector are used. For this net support to work, the ring pipe must have a cross-sectional opening that can be closed appropriately during installation. This would either render the ring pipe unstable or be technically complex, thus precluding widespread use.
[0008] The object of the invention is to design a net holder such that the net can be assembled and / or disassembled while maintaining the stability of the net holder provided by the closed ring tube. Furthermore, a device for arranging the net holder is disclosed, preferably by a person standing on the ground.
[0009] The problem is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the subclaims.
[0010] The present invention is based on the idea of using an insert ring with a net as an insert in an existing basketball hoop with a worn or missing net, whereby the insert ring is prepared by a person on the ground, then transported to the height of the hoop by means of a rod and fixed there.
[0011] If the pole is telescopic, it can be easily transported to the playing field, as its transport length can be shortened. The insert ring and net can be conveniently transported in a bag, preferably rounded or even flat. A label fits on the bag.
[0012] The net change, including the insert ring, can be carried out for each game or training session, as well as for a longer period of time.
[0013] Two variants are provided: In the first variant, both the ring tube and the insert ring have a circular or oval cross-section, with the connection being secured by clamps, and in the second variant, the insert ring is inserted into a ring tube with a C-shaped cross-section.
[0014] The proposed technical solution becomes even more attractive by using lightweight materials for the insert rings, which should have spring properties. Such materials could be aluminum or fiber-reinforced plastics, for example. Of course, it is also possible to use steel or another metal.
[0015] The invention in detail: According to the invention, in a net holder for a basketball net having a closed ring tube and a net through which a ball which has passed through the ring tube is slowed down and directed towards the ground, an insert ring which is open in one section is arranged in the ring tube, in which insert ring the circumference of which can be reduced by building up tension, so that it can be inserted into the inner circumference of the ring tube and when the tension is released rests against the inner wall of the ring tube, it is proposed that the open section of the insert ring is angled with its ends so that two pins which are aligned in the same direction from the plane of the insert ring protrude from this, which pins in turn are connected to one another by a cross strut with a fixed and a detachable bearing, and the change in the circumference of the insert ring is achieved by a movement of the pins towards and away from one another.
[0016] The combination of an open section, bent-out pins, a cross brace with a fixed bearing on one side and a removable bearing on the other side gives the insert ring a high degree of dimensional stability despite the open section.
[0017] There is a positive and / or frictional connection between the hoop tube and the inserted insert ring. This ensures that the complicated hooks used in conventional net mounts for basketball nets—bent twice on the sides and angled toward the hoop tube—are no longer required. Instead, simple hooks on the insert ring can be used, as the positive and / or frictional connection components are still used, which clamp the net in place.
[0018] In the case of an insert ring with a ring-shaped cross-section, the insert ring preferably has clamps distributed around the circumference which partially enclose the ring tube when the insert ring rests against the ring tube.
[0019] In the other design, the ring tube has a C-shaped cross-section with the opening pointing towards the insert ring.
[0020] For retrofitting and new installations, you can choose between two designs, although the C-shaped version is preferable for new installations as it has smooth transitions and no potentially disruptive brackets.
[0021] The insert ring is made of a resilient material, in particular aluminum or a fiber-reinforced plastic or steel.
[0022] The angle of the pins to the plane of the insert ring is preferably 90° + / -15%.
[0023] According to the invention, a snap lock is arranged in the area of the removable bearing on one of the pins. This snap lock engages the cross strut by means of a plunger and then locks the removable bearing. This snap lock significantly increases the dimensional stability of the insert ring, as it prevents movement of the pins or the insert ring.
[0024] The pins and / or the widened sections arranged on the pins are preferably made of solid material and form the bearing points for the removable and fixed bearings. The widened sections thus create more space for the bearings. The pins can also be widened during the technological process using a forming process.
[0025] In an advantageous embodiment, the snap lock has a longitudinally displaceable plunger in a bushing connected to a pin and / or an extension on the pin. This plunger can be moved out of the locking function against the force of a spring, thus enabling the clamping connection between the ring tube and the insert ring and also making it possible to reduce the diameter of the insert ring. The bushing should be arranged so that the plunger is guided past the cross member. This allows the plunger to engage the cross member from above, and the gear for adjusting the pins can engage from below.
[0026] The prerequisite for this is that the plunger is double-angled at one end, with the last angle engaging in an opening in the cross strut to lock the removable bearing.
[0027] The disclosed device for mounting the net holder provides for a mounting device to be placed on the pins. The mounting device comprises a rod of sufficient length and buckling strength, with a gear at the end. The gear is operated by a Bowden cable. In a first step, when the gear is placed on the pins, the plunger is released from the locked position. This is why it is guided past the crossbar as described above. In a second step, the pins move towards each other, whereby the circumference of the insert ring is reduced so much that it can be easily inserted into the ring tube. In a third step, the insert ring is expanded again and rests against the ring tube, enclosing the basketball net.
[0028] When the gearbox is removed, the tappet engages with the cross member and locks the loose bearing.
[0029] A possible gear for moving two pins against each other is explained in the exemplary embodiment, without the invention being limited to this embodiment.
[0030] The invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 a design with full and partial views of existing basketball baskets, Fig. 2 a preferred version with insertable insert ring in a C-profile and Fig. 3 a gear for tightening and loosening the insert ring.
[0031] Fig. 1 shows a net mount for a basketball net 13 comprising a closed hoop 1 and a net through which a ball that has passed through the hoop 1 is slowed down and directed toward the ground. This net mount is used everywhere. Replacing the net requires a ladder because the net mount is permanently installed at a dizzying height.
[0032] According to the invention, in this embodiment, an insert ring 2, open in a section 4, is arranged circumferentially in the annular tube 1. The insert ring 2 is reduced in its circumference by building up tension, so that it can be inserted into the inner circumference of the annular tube 1 and, when the tension is released, rests against the inner wall of the annular tube 1. To make this possible from the ground, the open section 4 of the insert ring 2 is angled at its ends so that two pins 5, 6 project from the plane of the insert ring 2, which are aligned in the same direction. These pins, in turn, are connected to one another by a cross strut 7 with a fixed and a removable bearing for the pins 5, 6. The change in the circumference of the insert ring 2 can be achieved by moving the pins 5, 6 towards and away from one another. Now, only a device is required by means of which the corresponding pin movements and thus of the insert ring 2 can be carried out. Such a device is described in Fig. 3 shown.
[0033] Due to the combination of the pins 5, 6 with the cross strut 7 and the loose and fixed bearing of the cross strut 7 with the respective pins 5, 6, the net holder has a high dimensional stability.
[0034] The fixation of the insert ring 2 on the ring tube 1 is improved in that the insert ring 2 has clamps 3 distributed around the circumference, which partially enclose the insert ring 2 when it rests on the ring tube 1.
[0035] A further advantageous embodiment provides for a snap lock 8 to be arranged in the area of the detachable bearing at the pin 6. This snap lock 8 can be engaged in the cross strut 7 by means of a plunger 11, thereby locking the detachable bearing. Preferably, the snap lock 8 has a longitudinally displaceable plunger 11 in a bushing 14 connected to the pin 6 or the rod section 10. This plunger 11 can be moved out of the locking function against the force of a spring 12, thus enabling the clamping connection between the ring tube 1 and the insert ring 2, on the one hand, and reducing the diameter of the insert ring 2, on the other.
[0036] The bushing 14 is arranged so that the plunger 11 is guided past the cross strut 7.
[0037] In order to engage with the cross member 7, the plunger 11 is double-angled at one end, with the last angle engaging with the opening of the cross member 7 when locking the removable bearing.
[0038] This arrangement is advantageous in order to prevent collisions between the gear 15 and the tappet 11 in the device for applying the insert ring 2.
[0039] The net holder according to Fig. 2 differs from the previously described version in that the ring pipe 1 has a C-shaped cross-section with the opening pointing toward the insert ring 2. This variant will be used particularly in new systems, as it offers a number of advantages.
[0040] The complicated hooks 9 used to suspend the net in conventional suspension systems can be eliminated and replaced with simple hooks. This is made possible by the positive and / or frictional connection between the ring tube 1 and the inserted insert ring 2.
[0041] Clamps 3, which require additional attachment, are omitted. There are smooth transitions between the ring tube 1 and the insert ring 2.
[0042] The material requirement is reduced by almost 50%.
[0043] In Fig. 2 The disclosed device for attaching and removing the net holder is further shown, to which Fig. 3 will be discussed in more detail. The present illustration shows the connection of the net holder via the receptacles 18 for the pins 5, 6. The receptacle 18 for the pin 6 has a stop 22 at the top, which acts on the plunger 11 against the spring force of the spring 12 and pushes the plunger 11 out of the locking position for the detachable bearing. The diameter of the insert ring 2 can now be reduced by moving the receptacles 18 for the pins 5, 6 toward each other.
[0044] In both designs, the insert ring 2 is made of a resilient material, particularly aluminum, a fiber-reinforced plastic, or steel. The diameter of the insert ring in these designs is selected such that the increase in diameter between the ring tube 1 and the inserted insert ring 2 results in a positive and / or frictional connection.
[0045] Fig. 3 shows a disclosed mounting device that is placed on the pins 5, 6 by means of the receptacles 18. The mounting device has a rod 16 of sufficient length and kink resistance, at the end of which is a gear 15 for moving the receptacles 18 and which has a Bowden cable 17 for actuating the gear 15. The Bowden cable 17 is actuated by means of a ratchet 20.
[0046] The gear 15 has a guide rail 21 for the receptacles 18 for the pins. The receptacles 18 for the pins 5, 6 are spring-loaded within the guide rail 21, for which purpose a sliding block 22 is arranged for each receptacle 18 in the guide rail 21. The sliding blocks 22 are connected to the respective Bowden cable 17, with the two Bowden cables 17 being deflected into a nearly parallel path to the rod 16 via deflection pulleys 19 arranged centrally on the guide rail 21. Advantageously, the two Bowden cables are then combined and can thus be tensioned as a single Bowden cable 17 by the ratchet 20 to move the pins 5, 6 toward each other.
[0047] Once the insert ring 2 has reached the optimal position, the ratchet 20 is released and the insert ring takes its position on or in the ring tube 1.
[0048] The same procedure is followed to remove the insert ring 2. List of reference symbols
