Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a chair back.
[0002] Chairs with shapeable backrests are known, the characteristic of which consists in supporting the user's backbone so as to keep it in a correct position for long intervals of time.
[0003] In particular, these types of chairs have supports in contact with the lumbar region of the user when he is in a sitting position with his back resting on the backrest.
[0004] Current adjustment devices have the drawback of a difficult and laborious adjustment to obtain the desired position.
[0005] CN103371657 relates to seat furniture and particularly relates to an office seat provided with a backrest with a waist support. In order to improve the comfort and the simplicity of using the seat furniture, the waist support is arranged on a flexible guide belt in a height adjustable manner.
[0006] The object of the invention is to eliminate these drawbacks and to provide a device for moving a lumbar support of a chair which has a simple embodiment.
[0007] All these objects and others that will result from the following description are achieved according to the invention with a chair back as described in claim 1.
[0008] The present invention is further clarified hereinafter in a preferred embodiment thereof given purely by way of example but not limitative with reference to the attached drawing tables in which: Figures 1 and 2represent the backrest device in the position of maximum and minimum excursion Figure 3shows the detail of the lumbar support Figure 4shows the sheet Figures 5, 6 and 7show the details of the device.
[0009] As can be seen from the figures, the chair back according to the invention comprises a device for moving a lumbar support 2 (lumbar support) provided in the back of the chair. The lumbar support 2 is made of plastic material, has a substantially rectangular shape and is provided with two appendages 4 on which seats 6 are formed in the shape of a keyhole which engage on cylindrical pins 8 obtained on a substantially flexible rectangular blade 10. The lateral edges of the flexible blade 10 engage in the seats formed by L-shaped vertical guides 12 obtained on the wall 14 of the backrest 16.
[0010] The lower edge of the blade 10 extends into two blades 18 integral with a shaped handle 20.
[0011] The two blades 18 are housed in two corresponding seats formed by four ribs 22, 24, provided on a curved portion 26 integral with the lower edge of the backrest, and laterally binding the sliding of the slats.
[0012] The invention also provides for the use of a carter 28 to cover the curved portion 26 the backrest having the function to constrain the curvilinear sliding of the blades 18 housed between the ribs 22, 24 of the backrest and internal ribs 25 of the carter 28 and presents two slots 30 along which flows the central part of the handle 20.
[0013] In particular, the handle 20 has L-shaped ends 32 to facilitate grip.
[0014] The operation of the device for moving the lumbar support provides that the user, once seated on the chair, activates the handle 20 which, by means of the flexible blade 10 which slides between the ribs 22, 24, makes the lumbar support 2 rise or fall position it in the desired configuration, and this thanks to the flexibility of the blades 18 which transform their curvilinear motion along the curved portion 26 into linear motion of the blade 10 in the backrest area.
Claims
