Description
[0001] The invention relates to a sectional door comprising door panels that are hingedly connected to each other, said sectional door being provided with a wicket door fitting in a wicket door frame of the sectional door, wherein the wicket door also has door panels that are hingedly connected to each other, wherein both the door panels of the sectional door and the door panels of the wicket door have door panel profiles delimiting the respective door panels.
[0002] EP 1 876 317 provides an example of a sectional door, and discloses that the wicket door allows passage through the sectional door without having to move the entire sectional door. The wicket door can be opened and closed manually and can therefore also be actuated if a drive of the sectional door fails. Furthermore, wicket doors can be opened quickly and reliably in emergency situations, which is why sectional doors whose door leaves have a wicket door are particularly suitable for industrial applications and for garages and halls that do not have an additional exit in addition to the sectional door.

This known door is provided with centering units that are equipped with vertical openings to provide an escape for water that accumulates in the door. [0005] It is an object of the invention to provide a sectional door with improved removal and disposal capability for moist which may for instance occur due to ingress of water from the outside, said disposal being accomplished without notably affecting the outer appearance of the sectional door.

[0007] The intermediate water caps are modeled to correspond and be attuned to the shape and dimensions of the door panel profiles, and are equipped with a receiving section on top of which, and within which, a part of the door panel profile of a respective panel of the sectional door or the wicket door snugly fits. According to the invention, the receiving section of each of the intermediate water caps is equipped with a first aperture providing an opening to the outside for guiding most of the moist externally. By this arrangement moist can be collected from every separate door panel profile of the sectional door and of the wicket door, substantially without the moist dripping down to the panels further down the intermediate water caps. Further this arrangement provides a perfect closure against the environment and avoids as much as possible that external water can immerse into the respective panels of the sectional door and the wicket door.
[0008] Suitably the intermediate water caps are provided with two parallel arms extending transversely away from the receiving section, which arms have upstanding protrusions so as to provide a close fit of the intermediate water caps on the respective door panel profile to which the concerning intermediate water cap is mounted.

[0020] Turning now to figure 3A, it shows that the sectional door is provided with a threshold 13, wherein on top of the threshold 13 and below a sectional door panel profile 12 of the sectional door 1 a dewatering plate 15 is provided. This is best shown in figure 3B. Figures 3B and 3C show that the dewatering plate 15 is equipped with a receptacle for moist collected and received therein from higher parts of the sectional door 1. The receptacle 16 of the dewatering plate 15 has an oblique top surface, at an edge of which top surface a second aperture 18 provides an opening to essentially prevent that water is guided further. Disposal of water from the dewatering plate occurs at disposal opening 19 shown in fig. 3B and 3D. This arrangement essentially prevents that water progresses to the inside of the door. Although the invention has been discussed in the foregoing with reference to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the invention is not restricted to this particular embodiment which can be varied in many ways without departing from the scope of the appended claims. The discussed exemplary embodiment shall therefore not be used to construe the appended claims strictly in accordance therewith. On the contrary the embodiment is merely intended to explain the wording of the appended claims without intent to limit the claims to this exemplary embodiment. The scope of protection of the invention shall therefore be construed in accordance with the appended claims only, wherein a possible ambiguity in the wording of the claims shall be resolved using this exemplary embodiment.

Claims
1. Sectional door (1) comprising door panels (2) that are hingedly connected to each other, said sectional door (1) being provided with a wicket door (3) fitting in a wicket door frame (4) of the sectional door (1), wherein the wicket door (3) also has door panels (2') that are hingedly connected to each other, wherein both the door panels (2) of the sectional door (1) and the door panels (2') of the wicket door (3) have door panel profiles (12, 12') delimiting the respective door panels (2, 2'), wherein between the door panel profiles (12, 12') intermediate water caps (6, 7) are provided, wherein the intermediate water caps (6, 7) are modeled to correspond and be attuned to the shape and dimensions of the door panel profiles (12, 12'), and are equipped with a receiving section (6', 7') on top of which, and within which, a part of the door panel profile (12, 12') of a respective panel (2, 2') of the sectional door (1) or the wicket door (3) snugly fits, characterized in that the receiving section (6', 7') of each of the intermediate water caps (6, 7) is equipped with a first aperture (17) providing an opening to the outside for guiding most of the moist externally.
2. Sectional door according to claim 1, characterized in that the intermediate water caps (6, 7) are provided with two parallel arms (8, 9) extending transversely away from the receiving section (6', 7'), which arms (8, 9) have upstanding protrusions (10, 11) so as to provide a close fit of the intermediate water caps (6, 7) on the respective door panel profile (12, 12') to which the concerning intermediate water cap (6, 7) is mounted.
3. Sectional door according to claim 1 or 2, said sectional door being provided with a threshold (13), wherein on top of the threshold (13) and below a sectional door panel profile (12) of the sectional door (1) a dewatering plate (15) is provided which is equipped with a receptacle (16) for moist collected and received therein from higher parts of the sectional door (1), characterized in that the receptacle (16) of the dewatering plate (15) has an oblique top surface, at an edge of which top surface a second aperture (18) provides an opening to essentially prevent that water is guided further.
4. Sectional door according to claim 3, characterized in that the dewatering plate (15) is provided with a disposal opening (19) to guide most of the water to the outside.
