Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a refrigerator and / or freezer with active humidity control, for example a wine refrigerator.

[0002] When storing wine, both temperature and humidity play a role. It's well known from the state of the art to place porous lava rock in the condensate drain to increase humidity.

[0003] However, this solution has hygienic disadvantages due to its porous structure and is unsuitable for active humidity control.

[0004] The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a refrigerator and / or freezer that enables hygienic and controlled active humidity regulation.

[0005] This object is achieved by a refrigerator and / or freezer having the features of claim 1.

[0006] According to this, a refrigerator and / or freezer, in particular a wine refrigerator, is provided with a cooled interior and at least one storage zone located in the interior and designed for preferably active air humidity regulation, wherein at least one water reservoir is detachably arranged in the storage zone.

[0007] The device is preferably designed in such a way that the humidity in the storage zone can be actively adjusted by the device.

[0008] In the storage zone, at least one support shelf, preferably in the form of a grate, is preferably arranged for receiving refrigerated goods, for example wine bottles.

[0009] The at least one support floor can, for example, be a grid whose rafters are at least partially made of wood. Alternatively, the rafters can also be made of plastic or metal.

[0010] The at least one water reservoir is preferably detachable and preferably positively secured to a side of a support base opposite a support surface for refrigerated goods. For example, bottles rest on the top side of the support base, and the water reservoir is arranged on the underside of the grid.

[0011] On its side opposite the support surface for refrigerated goods, the support base may have a number of form-fitting elements, preferably in the form of two parallel rails, for releasably securing the water reservoir to the support base. This allows for easy assembly and disassembly of the water reservoir.

[0012] For example, there may be two parallel rails on the underside of the support floor, each of which is fixed to the rafters of a wooden grate.

[0013] The rails preferably run at right angles or substantially at right angles to the rafters.

[0014] The water reservoir may comprise a water receiving tray and a grate, wherein the grate is designed to close the receiving tray in the manner of a lid.

[0015] To ensure permanently hygienic conditions in the device, the water reservoir can be made of plastic and / or metal and preferably be dishwasher safe.

[0016] Furthermore, a device according to the invention preferably has a control unit which is designed to actively control the refrigerator and / or freezer in such a way that a desired air humidity is achieved in the storage zone.

[0017] The control unit may be configured to adjust the humidity in the storage zone based on a user input, which preferably includes the presence or absence of the water reservoir in the interior space.

[0018] It should be noted here that the terms "a" and "an" do not necessarily refer to exactly one of the elements, although this is a possible interpretation, but can also refer to a plurality of the elements. Likewise, the use of the plural also includes the presence of the element in question in the singular, and conversely, the singular also encompasses several of the elements in question.

[0019] Furthermore, all features of the invention described herein may be combined with one another as desired or claimed in isolation from one another.

[0020] Further details and advantages of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.

[0021] They show: Figure 1: a water reservoir according to the invention; Figure 2: a plan view of a grate with the water reservoir from Fig. 1 , and Figure 3: a view from below of the grate with the water reservoir from Fig. 2 .

[0022] As in Fig. 1 As shown, a water reservoir 1 has a receiving bowl 2 and a lid 3.

[0023] The lid 3 comprises an area 4 provided with openings. The lid 3 is made of metal and the receiving tray 2 is made of plastic.

[0024] Fig. 2 shows a support floor in the form of a grate 5. The grate 5 has rafters 6, which are preferably made of wood.

[0025] The grate 5 has an upper side 7 for placing refrigerated goods and a lower side 8 on which the water reservoir 1 is arranged by means of two parallel rails 9.

[0026] In Fig. 3 it can be seen how the water reservoir 2 is fixed to the grate 5 by means of the rails 9.

[0027] The water reservoir 1 is preferably arranged centrally along the direction of extension of the rafters 6 and / or extends at right angles or substantially at right angles to the direction of extension of the rafters 6.
