Description

[0001] The invention relates to a pull-out mechanism. The invention further relates to a watch movement comprising such a pull-out mechanism. The invention also relates to a timepiece comprising such a watch movement or such a pull-out mechanism. The invention also relates to a method for operating such a watch movement or such a timepiece. The invention also relates to methods for assembling and disassembling such a watch movement or such a timepiece.

[0002] Within a watch movement, a control organ or control stem is intended to allow the winding, correction or adjustment of various functions of the movement. To do this, the control stem cooperates with a lever or, more specifically, a pull rod which allows several roles to be performed, such as: securing the control rod to the movement by a connecting element of the pull rod engaged in a groove of the rod, such as a stud, indexing the control rod in defined axial positions thanks to the cooperation of the pull rod with a pull rod spring, controlling the position of the components of the mechanism according to the axial position of the control rod, so as to configure them in such a way as to allow the actuation of the various winding, correction or adjustment functions.

[0003] To be able to disengage or re-engage a movement within a case, it is necessary for the control stem to be able to be detached from the movement. To do this, the pull-out is generally released by a watchmaker until it is out of reach of the stem groove and the latter can be removed from the movement by the watchmaker.

[0004] This action requires a movement of the pull tab within the thickness of the movement and therefore requires a free volume above the latter, this volume therefore not being able to be used for other systems of the movement.

[0005] Additionally, this movement of the pull tab can cause various malfunctions, as the pull tab is likely to get stuck by getting tangled or overlapping with some other components of the mechanism. In such a case, it is necessary for the movement to be disassembled with potentially a partial disassembly of the movement to be able to restore the proper functioning of the movement.

[0006] To overcome this problem, various disassembly or design strategies are generally implemented, such as: enforce the disassembly of the control rod in a defined position, design certain components of the mechanism with sufficient thickness so that the pull rod cannot overlap them.

[0007] These strategies create constraints in terms of functionality and thickness.

[0008] Various prior art documents describe solutions that allow the control rod to be removed by acting only on the connecting element of the pull rod engaged in the rod. However, these solutions do not overcome all of the aforementioned drawbacks. In particular, they do not allow the control rod to be spontaneously secured to the movement during its insertion.

[0009] Patent EP1353245B1 discloses a control mechanism provided with a translationally movable pull rod comprising a locking part intended to cooperate with a groove of a control rod. The particularity of this mechanism lies in the fact that the locking part is provided with a slot with two wings capable of occupying two angular positions within the pull rod. A quarter-turn rotation of the part allows switching from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration, and vice versa. In the locked configuration, the locking part is arranged so that the wings cooperate with the groove of the rod so as to secure the rod to the pull rod. In the unlocked configuration, the wings follow the external contour of the rod so as to allow the latter to be withdrawn.

[0010] Document CH8819A discloses a mechanism comprising a pull rod provided with a screw intended to cooperate with a groove of a control rod. To secure the control rod to the pull rod, the screw is screwed into the pull rod until its end can cooperate with the groove. Conversely, to be able to remove the control rod from the movement, the screw is unscrewed until its end is out of reach of the groove.

[0011] The aim of the invention is to provide a pull mechanism making it possible to improve the pull mechanisms known from the prior art. In particular, the invention proposes a pull mechanism making it possible to limit the space required for its operation and making it easier to assemble and disassemble it.

[0019] A first embodiment of a timepiece 300 is described below in detail with reference to figures 1 à 6 .

[0020] The timepiece 300 is for example a watch, in particular a wristwatch. The timepiece 300 comprises a watch movement 200 intended to be mounted in a timepiece case or box in order to protect it from the external environment.

[0021] The 200 watch movement is a mechanical movement, notably an automatic movement, or a hybrid movement or an electronic movement.

[0022] The 200 watch movement includes a 100 pull mechanism.

[0023] Whatever the embodiment, the pull mechanism includes: a pull tab comprising a pull tab body including a first part 21 comprising a connecting element 21a to a control member 10, such as a pull tab stud, and a second part 22, the first part 21 being attached to the second part 22 and the first part 21 being movable relative to the second part 22 between (i) a first position in which the connecting element 21a is able to cooperate with the control member 10 and (ii) a second position in which the connecting element 21a is not able to cooperate with the control member 10, and an elastic return element arranged to return the first part 21 to the first position.

[0024] The pull tab 20 makes it possible to configure the mechanism 100 according to the axial position of the control member 10, so as to allow the actuation of the various watchmaking functions, in particular the winding, correction or adjustment of the movement 200.

[0025] In the following description, an exemplary embodiment of a control member 10 is a control rod 10 movable in translation and in pivoting within a frame 90 of the movement 200, along an axis A1.

[0026] The pull rod 20 collaborates with the control rod 10 via the connecting element 21a intended to collaborate with a groove 11 machined on the control rod 10. In the following description, the connecting element 10 is a projecting conformation like a stud.

[0027] The connecting element 21a of the pull rod 20 also makes it possible to hold the control rod 10 by the groove 11 within the movement 200 or more particularly within the frame 90.

[0028] The pull rod 20 is indexed in position by a pull rod spring 30 according to generally two or three defined positions, that is to say that the two defined positions or two of the defined positions are stable positions of the pull rod relative to the frame 90, these stable positions being separated by a continuum of unstable positions. Consequently, the control rod 10 is also indexed, via the pull rod, by the pull rod spring 30, according to said two or three positions, along the axis A1.

[0029] The pull tab 20 therefore makes it possible in particular to ensure: a first function of securing the control rod 10 to the movement 200 by the connecting element 21a engaged in the groove 11 of the rod, and a second function of controlling the position of at least one component 50 of the mechanism 100 as a function of the axial position of the control rod 10, so as to configure it so as to allow the actuation of the various winding, correction or adjustment functions.

[0030] In the embodiments described, each of said functions is provided by two separate parts or components 21, 22 which the pull tab 20 comprises. The two parts 21, 22 are capable of being moved relative to one another.

[0031] In this case, the first part 21 is provided with the connecting element 21a capable of collaborating with the groove 11 of the rod 10 and makes it possible to ensure the first function. The second part 22 is provided with at least one functional portion 22a, for example of the cam surface type, capable of collaborating with at least one component 50 of the mechanism 100, such as a rocker 50 so as to ensure the second function. This functional portion 22a constitutes a control element.

[0032] Thanks to the solution, the first part 21 of the pull rod 20 is designed to be released by a watchmaker so as to be arranged, in the second position, out of reach of the control stem 10, without the second part 22 being stressed or moved relative to the frame 90.

[0033] Thus, when the connecting element 21a of the first part is arranged, in the second position, out of reach of the groove 11 of the rod, the pull tab 20 is said to be in the unlocked configuration. The unlocked configuration therefore allows the rod 10 to be removed from the movement 200.

[0034] In contrast, when the connecting element 21a of the first part 21 is, in the first position, engaged in the groove 11 of the rod 10, the pull rod 20 is said to be in the locked configuration. The locked configuration therefore allows the pull rod mechanism 100 to be actuated by the control rod 10 and the latter to be maintained within the movement 200.

[0035] In the locked configuration, the first and second parts 21, 22 of the pull tab 20 are integral with each other so that the pull tab 20 behaves like a single-piece assembly and like a conventional pull tab for actuating the various winding, correction or adjustment functions of the movement. In other words, in the locked configuration, the first and second parts 21, 22 of the pull tab 20 are arranged so as to move together, in unison, when the stem 10 is actuated in the various positions.

[0036] Advantageously, the solution is provided so that the pull tab 20 spontaneously reconfigures itself from the unlocked configuration to the locked configuration thanks to an elastic return of the first part 21 against the second part 22. This is ensured by the elastic return element 40 arranged to return the first part 21 to the first position.

[0037] Advantageously, the elastic return 40 of the first part 21 also allows the control rod 10 to be inserted into the movement 200 by retracting the connecting element 21a. As soon as the connecting element 21a has reached the groove 11, the pull rod 20 spontaneously reconfigures into a locked configuration under the effect of the elastic return, thus automatically securing the rod 10 to the movement 200.

[0038] More particularly, in the first embodiment, the pull rod 20 is pivoted on the frame 90 by a pin 23 along an axis A2 perpendicular to the axis A1 of the control rod 10. The pin 23 thus constitutes a guide element for the pull rod. The cooperation between the pull rod 20 and the control rod 10 is achieved in such a way that a translational movement of the rod 10 along the axis A1 causes a rotation of the pull rod 20 around the axis A2.

[0039] The first part 21 is assembled to the second part 22 while allowing movement according to a single degree of freedom in translation, parallel to the axis A2. This assembly is embodied by the pin 23 and a tenon 21b both integral with the first part 21 and fitting with respectively two holes 22c and 22b formed in the second part 22. Once assembled on the first part 21, the conformation of the pin 23 prevents the disassembly of the two parts 21, 22 of the pull tab 20. Thus, a sliding connection is formed by using two columns 21b, 23 cooperating with two bores 22b, 22c.

[0040] The second part 22 comprises a pull stud 24 intended to cooperate with the pull spring 30 so as to index the pull 20 according to three angular positions defined around the axis A2.

[0041] Furthermore, the functional portion 22a of the second part 22 is capable of cooperating with a portion 51 of the lever 50 in order to actuate the various winding, correction or adjustment functions.

[0042] To achieve the unlocked configuration and allow the control rod 10 to be removed from the frame 90, a watchmaker simply needs to use a tool to press axially on the pin 23, so as to lift the first part 21, as shown in the figure. figure 6 , and to release the connecting element 21a from the groove 11 of the rod 10. During this action, the second part 22 advantageously remains in place relative to the frame, it is not lifted.

[0043] The connecting element 21a is, in this embodiment, a pad 21a formed or attached to the first part 21.

[0044] The elastic return of the first part 21 from the unlocked configuration to the locked configuration is provided by a pull tab support spring 40. The spring 40 provides an axial support force, along the axis A2, tending to maintain the pull tab 20 in the locked configuration. This spring, here in the form of an elastic blade, is preferably fixed to the frame 90 at one of its ends, for example using a screw.

[0045] Conventionally, when the rod 10 is inserted into the movement 200, it is provided that it can push back the stud 21a by a conical or chamfered portion arranged upstream of the groove 11 on the rod 10. Thus, thanks to this conformation and the elastic return of the first part 21, the insertion of the rod 10 makes it possible to automatically switch from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration of the pull tab 20. From then on, as soon as the stud 21a has reached the groove 11, the stud spontaneously falls back to the bottom of the groove thanks to the elastic restitution of the spring 40, thus configuring the pull tab 20 again in the locked configuration.

[0046] A second embodiment of a timepiece 300 is described below in detail with reference to figures 7 à 11 .

[0047] The timepiece 300 is for example a watch, in particular a wristwatch. The timepiece 300 comprises a watch movement 200 intended to be mounted in a timepiece case or box in order to protect it from the external environment.

[0048] The 200 watch movement is a mechanical movement, notably an automatic movement, or a hybrid movement or an electronic movement.

[0049] The 200 watch movement includes a 100' pull mechanism.

[0050] In this second embodiment, the pull rod 20' also pivots on the frame 90 by means of a pin 23' forming part of said pull rod, along an axis A2' perpendicular to the axis A1 of the control rod 10. The pin 23' thus constitutes a guide element for the pull rod. The cooperation between the pull rod 20' and the control rod 10 is achieved in such a way that a translational movement of the rod 10 along the axis A1 generates a rotation of the pull rod 20' around the axis A2'.

[0051] The pull tab 20' comprises the first part 21' and the second part 22' forming a pull tab body. The pin 23' is here secured to the second part 22'.

[0052] The first part 21' consists of a flexible body 21c', a portion of which is embedded within a portion of the second part 22' or comprises a flexible part 21c', a portion of which is embedded within the second part 22' or within a portion of the second part 22'. The embedding may for example be achieved by a bearing pin 21b' driven or welded into the second part 22'.

[0053] The free end of the flexible body 21c' or of the flexible part 21c' comprises a connecting element 21a' which is in the form of a stud 21a'.

[0054] Thus, the first part 21' and the second part 22' comprise portions embedded with each other. The first part and / or the second part comprise as elastic return element 21c', between the second part (22') and the connecting element 21a', the flexible part 21c' or a blade 21c'.

[0055] The flexible body or flexible part 21c' is intended to be deformed mainly in a direction parallel to the axis A2' or substantially parallel to the axis A2', so as to release the stud 21a' from the groove 11 and to configure the pull tab 20' in the unlocked configuration. The movement of the stud 21a' is here (in particular due to the length of the flexible part) assimilated to a translation parallel to the axis A2'.

[0056] As in the first embodiment, the second part 22' comprises a pull stud 24' intended to cooperate with a pull spring 30' so as to index the pull 20' according to three defined angular positions.

[0057] In order for the stud 21a' to have a certain rigidity when the rod 10 is actuated between the different defined axial positions of the mechanism, at least a portion of the periphery of the stud 21a' follows a complementary shape or profile 22c' machined on the second portion 22'. This shape 22c' constitutes a guide element for guiding or holding the stud 21a' substantially in a plane perpendicular to the axis A1. The cooperation of the shape 22c' and the stud 21a' can be likened to a sliding connection. Thus, only actuation in a direction substantially parallel to the axis A2' is capable of deforming the flexible portion 21c' and moving the stud 21a'.

[0058] To be able to remove the control rod 10 and put the pull 20' in the unlocked configuration, it is provided that a watchmaker can press on the flexible part 21c' using a tool 500'. To do this, a hole 23a' passing through the pin 23', in particular in its center, or passing through another area of the second part, is advantageously provided. This hole allows the passage of the tool 500'.

[0059] As with the other embodiments, the pull tab 20' advantageously returns spontaneously to the locked configuration thanks here to the elastic return of the flexible part 21c' which allows the connecting element 21a' to spontaneously fit into the groove 11 of the rod 10.

[0060] The spontaneous or automatic unlocking and locking of the pull rod 20' when the control rod 10 is inserted is also ensured in this embodiment.

[0061] A third embodiment of a timepiece 300 is described below in detail with reference to figures 12 à 17 .

[0062] The timepiece 300 is for example a watch, in particular a wristwatch. The timepiece 300 comprises a watch movement 200 intended to be mounted in a timepiece case or box in order to protect it from the external environment.

[0063] The 200 watch movement is a mechanical movement, notably an automatic movement, or a hybrid movement or an electronic movement.

[0064] The 200 watch movement includes a 100" pull-out mechanism.

[0065] In this third embodiment, the pull rod 20" is also pivoted within the frame 90 by a pin 23", around an axis A2" perpendicular to the axis A1 of the control rod 10. The pin 23" thus constitutes a guide element for the pull rod.

[0066] The 20" pull tab consists of the first 21" part and the second 22" part forming a pull tab body.

[0067] The particularity of the third mode is that the pull tab 20" is put into the unlocked configuration by a substantially translational movement of the first part 21" in a plane perpendicular to the axis A2". To do this, the first part comprises a first slide 21d" intended to cooperate with a bearing pin 23" driven onto a second part 22". In addition, the first part 21" comprises a pull tab stud 24" intended to cooperate with a second slide 22b" machined onto the second part 22". Of course, the first and second slides 21d", 22b" are preferably oriented in the same direction. Thus, a slide connection is formed comprising two oblong openings 21d", 22b" cooperating with two pins 23", 24". The stud 24" also makes it possible to index the pull tab, in cooperation with the pull tab spring 30".

[0068] The first part 21" also includes a stud 21a" intended to cooperate with the groove 11 of the rod.

[0069] To be able to configure the 20" pull tab in the unlocked configuration, it is therefore provided that the stud 21a" emerges from the groove 11 of the rod from the side, that is to say in a direction orthoradial to the axis A1, or substantially perpendicular to the axis A2" and substantially perpendicular to the axis A1.

[0070] Thus, in order to be able to remove the control stem 10, it is provided that a watchmaker can, using a tool, move the stud 24" and the first pull-out part 21" in a direction defined by the first and second slides 21d", 22b" until reaching the unlocked configuration.

[0071] In this embodiment, the elastic return of the first part 21" is directly provided by a pull spring 30" which exerts a force oriented so as to maintain the pull 20" in the locked configuration.

[0072] As for the two previous embodiments, it is provided that the insertion of the control rod 10 within the movement causes a spontaneous configuration of the pull rod 20" in the unlocked configuration, then in the same action, as soon as the stud 21a" has reached the groove 11 of the rod, a spontaneous configuration in the locked configuration.

[0073] As demonstrated by the three embodiments presented, the elastic return of the first part 21, 21', 21" can be provided in particular by a pull tab support spring 40, a flexible part 21c' arranged within the pull tab or a pull tab indexing spring 30". Nevertheless, more generally, the elastic return of the first part 21, 21', 21" or the spontaneous configuration of the pull tab 20, 20', 20" from the unlocked configuration to the locked configuration can be provided by any elastic means intrinsic or extrinsic to the pull tab.

[0074] Of course, the proposed solution is also compatible with a pull rod designed to move linearly relative to the frame, as a result of an axial movement of the control rod.

[0075] In the three embodiments presented, the connecting element of the pull tab cooperating with the groove of the rod is arranged above the latter. Of course, said portion can also be arranged on the side of the groove. This alternative is also particularly suitable for the third embodiment. The connecting element cooperating with the groove of the rod could also be arranged below the latter.

[0076] As an alternative to the embodiments presented in which the relative movement between the first and second parts when changing from one configuration to another of the pull tab is a translation, the relative movement between the first and second parts may be rotary or a combined rotational and translational movement. This variant may be particularly suitable for the third embodiment.

[0077] Regardless of the embodiment or variant, the control stem may be substituted by any other interface means capable of being held within a watch movement by a pull, such as a pusher.

[0078] Whatever the embodiment or variant, by extension, the pull tab can be a rocker or a control of a mechanism.

[0079] Regardless of the embodiment or variant, the first part or the second part may comprise: a first element 24; 24'; 24" for indexing the pull, and / or a first element 23; 23'; 23" for guiding the pull relative to a frame 90 of a watch movement 200.

[0080] This means that these elements can be provided on the same part of the pull tab or on several different parts of the pull tab.

[0081] Regardless of the embodiment or variant, the first and second parts are integral in the first position. They can be returned to each other under the effect of the elastic return element which is provided to block a degree of freedom of a sliding connection connecting the first and second parts.

[0082] Methods relating to such a pull tab mechanism are also disclosed.

[0083] In a first embodiment of a method for assembling a control member 10 to a watch movement 200 described previously or to a timepiece 300 (i.e. to a complementary assembly for constituting the timepiece) described previously, the method comprises: an action of inserting the control member 10, as a result of the insertion action, a movement of the first part 21; 21'; 21" relative to the second part 22; 22'; 22" from the first position to the second position, in a first direction, and retraction of the connecting element 21a; 21a'; 21a" to the control member 10, then a movement of the first part 21; 21'; 21" relative to the second part 22; 22'; 22" in a second direction opposite to the first direction until the connecting element to the control member 10 is housed in a conformation 11 of the control member 10 and until the first part returns to the first position in which the first part and the second part are integral.

[0084] In a second embodiment of a method for assembling a control member 10 to a watch movement 200 described previously or to a timepiece 300 (i.e. to a complementary assembly for constituting the timepiece) described previously, the method comprises: an action of moving, by a watchmaker, the first part 21; 21'; 21" relative to the second part 22; 22'; 22" from the first position to the second position, in a first direction, and of maintaining the first part in the second position, an action of inserting the control member 10, an action of elastic return of the first part 21; 21'; 21" into the first position in which the first part and the second part are integral.

[0085] In one embodiment of a method for disassembling or dismantling a control member 10 of a watch movement 200 described previously or of a timepiece 300 described previously, the method comprises: an action of moving the first part 21; 21'; 21" relative to the second part 22; 22'; 22" in a first direction and of holding the first part in the second position, an action of withdrawing the control member 10, an action of elastic return of the first part to the first position.

[0086] In one embodiment of a method of operating a watch movement 200 described previously or a timepiece 300 described previously, the method comprises: an after-sales service phase, in particular assembly or disassembly, comprising the implementation of a method described previously, and a current operating phase in which all the manipulations of the control member 10 causing a movement of the first part 21; 21'; 21" cause an integral movement of the second part 22; 22'; 22" as if the first and second parts were in one piece.

[0087] The solution described above offers advantages. By creating a two-part pull rod, the functions can be separated. Indeed, the solution advantageously separates the part that secures the control rod from the part that controls the various components of the mechanism. It thus overcomes the known problems associated with removing the control rod from the movement when fitting or unfitting the mechanism.

[0088] Furthermore, the insertion of the control stem into the movement can be done without requiring any particular action from the watchmaker to secure it with the pull-piece. Indeed, the solution described above allows, advantageously again, spontaneous securing of the pull-piece with the control stem when it is inserted into the movement.

[0089] According to the prior art, within a watch movement, the pull-out is generally arranged in direct proximity to the control stem, which implies that the movement mechanism is also constructed in proximity to the latter. In other words, the pull-out and the movement mechanism are generally arranged at a height close to that of the control stem, relative to the thickness of the movement. However, with the proposed solution, it is now possible to keep the first part of the pull-out in direct proximity to the control stem, and to offset the height of the second part of the pull-out, thus allowing more freedom as to the position of the mechanism within the thickness of the movement. Thus, by judiciously superimposing the two parts of the pull, it is possible to shift the height of the stem within the thickness of the movement without modifying the height position of the movement mechanism, or conversely, to shift the height of the movement mechanism within the thickness of the movement without modifying the height position of the control stem.
