AI Technical Summary
Existing embroidery frame arrangements struggle to effectively embroider hose-like or sack-like textile structures, as the existing solutions do not provide a stable and accessible flat area for needle access, leading to difficulties in creating embroidery patterns on these shapes.
The proposed embroidery frame arrangement consists of a first and second frame part, with the second frame part acting as an adapter, allowing for the hose-like or sack-like section to be fixed between the first and second frame parts, enabling easy access for the needle and accommodating different types of third frame parts for various textile structures, using a simple and inexpensive design without a docking device or clamping mechanism.
This solution allows for easy access and stable embroidery of the intended area, enabling efficient embroidery of hose-like or sack-like structures by providing a defined and accessible flat area, reducing the risk of collisions and improving the embroidery process.

Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an embroidery frame arrangement which can be assigned to a sewing machine or embroidery machine.
[0002] It is known to attach embroidery devices or embroidery modules to sewing machines in order to be able to use the sewing machine as an embroidery machine.
[0003] Such embroidery frame arrangements are known, for example, from the documents EP 0 877 112 B1, US 6 298 800 B1, US 7 258 071 B2, EP 1 783 258 B1 and EP 4 056 744 B1.
[0004] The invention is based on the Task The aim is to provide an embroidery frame arrangement which enables the embroidery of a partial area of an elastic tubular or sack-like textile structure.
[0005] To solve the TaskAn embroidery frame arrangement is provided which can be assigned to a sewing machine or embroidery machine and to which a textile structure which is at least partially tubular or sack-like can be clamped in order to create a flat, single-layered first sub-area of the tubular or sack-like section of the textile structure, on which an embroidery pattern can be created by means of the sewing machine or embroidery machine, wherein the embroidery frame arrangement has a first frame part and a second frame part that can be fixed thereto, characterized in that the tubular or bag-like section of the textile structure when engaging the second frame part with the first Frame part between the first frame part and the second Frame part is fixable or lockable and the flat, single-layered first sub-area the tube-like or sack-like section on which secondFrame part and surrounded by this is ready for embroidery.
[0006] The first part of the textile structure to be embroidered is therefore easily accessible for a needle and the embroidery process taking place on it.
[0007] Alternatively, an embroidery frame arrangement is provided, in particular according to the embroidery frame arrangement described above, which can be assigned to a sewing machine or embroidery machine and to which a textile structure which is at least partially tubular or sack-like can be clamped in order to embroider a flat, single-layer first sub-area of the tubular or sack-like section of the textile structure, on which an embroidery pattern can be created by means of the sewing machine or embroidery machine, wherein the embroidery frame arrangement has a first frame part and a second frame part that can be fixed thereto, characterized in thatthe embroidery frame arrangement also comprises a engageable with the second frame part third Frame part, wherein the tubular or bag-like section of the textile structure can be fixed or secured between the second frame part and the third frame part when the third frame part is brought into engagement with the second frame part, and the flat, single-layer first sub-area the tubular or bag-like section on the third frame part and surrounded by it can be made available for embroidery.
[0008] Here, too, the first section of the textile fabric to be embroidered is easily accessible for a needle and the embroidery process taking place there. Furthermore, the second frame section arranged between the first frame section and the third frame section serves as an adapter. Thus, with a first frame section adapted to a specific sewing machine and featuring a specific docking device and a tensioning device, various types of third frame sections can be used, each adapted to a specific textile fabric and / or to a specific section thereof to be embroidered. All that is required is a relatively simple, inexpensive second frame section without a docking device and without a tensioning device.
[0009] Preferably, the second Frame part one of the second Frame part protruding first formation, at which a first edge area an inverted and stretched second sub-areathe tubular or bag-like section can be fixed, in particular can be hooked or wrapped around.
[0010] This means that the second section not to be embroidered, which initially covers the first section to be embroidered, can be easily moved away by stretching it so that the first section to be embroidered is easily accessible for a needle and the embroidery process taking place on it.
[0011] Preferably, the second Frame part one of the second Frame part protruding second formation, at which a second edge area an inverted and stretched second sub-area the tubular or bag-like section can be fixed, in particular can be hooked or wrapped around.
[0012] Preferably, the second formation is located diametrically opposite the first formation.
[0013] This means that the second part area not to be embroidered, which initially covers the first part area to be embroidered, can be easily moved away in two opposite directions by respective elastic stretching, so that the first part area to be embroidered is easily accessible for a needle and the embroidery process taking place on it.
[0014] Preferably, in the alternative embodiment, the third frame part also has a projecting from the third frame part first formation, at which a first edge area an inverted and stretched second sub-area the tubular or bag-like section can be fixed, in particular can be hooked or wrapped around.
[0015] This means that the second section not to be embroidered, which initially covers the first section to be embroidered, can be easily moved away by stretching it so that the first section to be embroidered is easily accessible for a needle and the embroidery process taking place on it.
[0016] Preferably, in the alternative embodiment, the third frame part also has a projecting from the third frame part second formation, at which a second edge area an inverted and stretched second sub-area the tubular or bag-like section can be fixed, in particular can be hooked or wrapped around.
[0017] Preferably, the second formation is located diametrically opposite the first formation.
[0018] This means that the second part area not to be embroidered, which initially covers the first part area to be embroidered, can be easily moved away in two opposite directions by respective elastic stretching, so that the first part area to be embroidered is easily accessible for a needle and the embroidery process taking place on it.
[0019] Preferably, the first frame part is a flat, planar structure at least in a partial area.
[0020] Preferably, the second frame part is also a flat, planar structure, at least in a partial area.
[0021] Preferably, the third frame part is also a flat, planar structure, at least in a partial area.
[0022] The flat, planar structure does not represent an obstacle with a risk of collision for a needle which, during an embroidery process, moves not only up and down but also in a working plane along an X-direction and an orthogonal Y-direction.
[0023] For this purpose, it is particularly advantageous if the first Frame part has a maximum height or thickness of 2 mm to 12 mm, preferably 2 mm to 8 mm, in a direction orthogonal to its frame plane.
[0024] Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if the second frame part or the adapter part has a maximum height or thickness of 2 mm to 12 mm, preferably of 2 mm to 8 mm, in a direction orthogonal to its frame plane.
[0025] Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if the third frame part has a maximum height or thickness of 2 mm to 12 mm, preferably 2 mm to 8 mm, in a direction orthogonal to its frame plane.
[0026] Preferably, the second Frame part when engaging with the first Frame part a lowering depth in the first Frame part which is between 50% and 100% of the maximum height or thickness of the second frame part.
[0027] Preferably, the third frame part, when engaging with the second frame part, has a lowering depth in the second frame part which corresponds to between 50% and 100% of the maximum construction height or thickness of the third frame part.
[0028] Preferably, the second frame part has, at least in partial areas along the circumferential direction of its frame, spaced-apart, outwardly projecting projections.
[0029] This allows a defined lowering depth of the second frame part.
[0030] Alternatively, the second frame part has a flange-like projection projecting outwards along the circumferential direction of its frame.
[0031] This allows a defined lowering depth of the second frame part.
[0032] Preferably, the third frame part has, at least in partial areas along the circumferential direction of its frame, spaced-apart, outwardly projecting projections.
[0033] This allows a defined lowering depth of the third frame part.
[0034] Alternatively, the third frame part has a flange-like projection projecting outwards along the circumferential direction of its frame.
[0035] This allows a defined lowering depth of the second frame part.
[0036] Preferably, the second frame part has a radially inner edge region and a radially outer edge region, between which radial webs or connecting webs extend spaced apart along a circumferential direction.
[0037] This reduces the mass of the second frame section with virtually no loss of rigidity.
[0038] The embroidery frame arrangement according to the invention can also comprise a frame part which can be brought into engagement with the second frame part. fourthFrame part, wherein the tubular or bag-like section of the textile structure can be fixed or secured between the second frame part and the fourth frame part when the fourth frame part is brought into engagement with the second frame part, and the flat, single-layer first sub-area the tubular or bag-like section can be provided on the fourth frame part and surrounded by it.
[0039] Preferably, the fourth frame part and the third frame part are designed identically.
[0040] This means that with two identical frame parts (third and fourth frame part) fixed in the second frame part, two identical socks of a pair of socks can be clamped and embroidered at the same time.
[0041] Preferably, the second frame part has a handle that projects outwards.
[0042] On the one hand, the handle makes it easier to grasp and insert the second frame part into the first frame part. On the other hand, the handle prevents incorrect insertion of the second
[0043] frame part into the first frame part. If inserted incorrectly, the handle would collide with the docking device of the first frame part.
[0044] Preferably first frame part engagement formations of frame parts of the embroidery frame arrangement and engageable with them second frame part engagement formations of frame parts of the embroidery frame arrangement to each other symmetrical.
[0045] Preferably, first frame part engagement formations of frame parts of the embroidery frame arrangement and engageable with them second frame part engagement formations of frame parts of the embroidery frame arrangement no point symmetry on.
[0046] This prevents incorrect insertion of a frame part, e.g. rotated by 180° within a frame plane.

[0048] In Fig. 1 A perspective view of an embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown in the assembled state. The embroidery frame assembly 1 can be assigned to a sewing machine or embroidery machine (not shown). A textile structure that is at least partially tubular or bag-like, e.g. in the form of a sock to be embroidered (see Fig. 8 ), can be clamped into the embroidery frame arrangement 1 in order to produce a flat, single-layer first sub-area T1 (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ) of the tubular or sack-like section of the textile structure T, on which an embroidery pattern can then be created using the sewing machine or embroidery machine.
[0049] The embroidery frame assembly 1 contains a first frame part R1, which can be attached to a sewing machine (not shown) by means of a docking device AV.
[0050] The embroidery frame arrangement 1 also contains a second frame part R2 which can be inserted into the first frame part R1 and secured to it.
[0051] The embroidery frame arrangement 1 finally contains a third frame part R3, which can be inserted into the second frame part R2 and secured to it.
[0052] When using the embroidery frame arrangement 1, the tubular or bag-like section of the textile structure T (see Fig. 8 ) is fixed, in particular clamped, between the second frame part R2 and the third frame part R3 when the third frame part R3 is brought into engagement with the second frame part R2. As a result, the flat, single-layer first sub-area T1 (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20) of the tubular or sack-like section of the textile structure T on the third frame part R3 and surrounded by this for embroidery.
[0053] The first frame part R1 has a radial slot SR1, and the second frame part has a radial slot SR2. The radial slot SR1 of the first frame part R1 and the radial slot SR2 of the second frame part R2 are located at the same location along the circumferential direction of the two frame parts R1, R2. Along the circumferential direction and in the area of the radial slots SR1 and SR2, a clamping device SV is located on the radially outer edge of the first frame part R1. This clamping device is fastened to the first frame part R1 on both sides of the radial slot SR1 or is formed integrally with it. When the clamping device SV is clamped, the first frame part R1 and the second frame part R2 are elastically deformed, whereby the two radial slots SR1 and SR2 are reduced in size.
[0054] The third frame part R3 is inserted into a recess or opening in the second frame part R2. The third frame part R3 has no radial slot. When the clamping device SV is tightened, the third frame part R3 is fixed, in particular clamped or locked, in the second frame part R2 by frictional engagement and / or positive engagement. While the first frame part R1 and the second frame part R2 can be elastically deformed relatively easily, reducing their circumference, due to their respective radial slots SR1 and SR2, respectively, the third frame part R3 behaves in a practically rigid manner, like an arch, with respect to a reduction in its circumferential direction.
[0055] The second frame part R2, which is inserted into the first frame part R1, has a flange-like projection V2 on its upper side, extending radially outward along its entire circumference. This helps ensure that the second frame part R2 does not fall through when inserted into the first frame part R1 and can be inserted into the first frame part R1 at a defined lowering depth.
[0056] Similarly, the third frame part R3 inserted into the second frame part R2 has a flange-like projection V3 on its upper side, projecting radially outward along two diametrically opposed sections of its circumference. This also contributes to ensuring that the third frame part R3 does not fall through when inserted into the second frame part R2 or can be inserted into the second frame part R2 at a defined lowering depth. The third frame part R3 also has a first formation F31 and a second formation F32 on its upper side, which, similar to the two flange-like projections V3, project radially outward.
[0057] A first edge region T21 of an everted and stretched second partial region T2 of the tubular or sack-like section of the textile structure T can be fixed, in particular suspended, on the first formation F31 projecting away from the third frame part R3 (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ).
[0058] In a similar way, a second edge region T22 of the turned-up and stretched second partial region T2 of the tubular or sack-like section of the textile structure T can be fixed, in particular suspended, on the second formation F32 projecting away from the third frame part R3 (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ).
[0059] The first formation F31 and the second formation F32 of the third frame part R3 are arranged diametrically opposite each other. The two formations F31 and F32 protrude further from the third frame part R3 than the two flange-like projections V3. This allows the turned-over edge regions T21 and T22 of the elastically stretched section T2 of the textile structure T to be easily hooked in (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ).
[0060] The second frame part R2 has a handle G2 on its upper side that projects radially outward. On the one hand, it facilitates gripping and inserting the second frame part R2 into the first frame part. On the other hand, the handle G2 prevents incorrect insertion of the second frame part R2 into the first frame part R1. If inserted incorrectly, the handle G2 would collide with the docking device AV of the first frame part R1.
[0061] In Fig. 2is an exploded perspective view of the embroidery frame assembly according to the invention of Fig. 1 Shown disassembled. You can see the first frame part R1 at the bottom, the second frame part R2 in the middle, and the third frame part R3 at the top.
[0062] The first frame part R1 features the docking device AV and the clamping device SV at the radial slot SR1. The second frame part R2 can be inserted into the large opening of the first frame part R1.
[0063] On the second frame part R2, one can see the radial slot SR2, the handle G2, and four radial webs or connecting webs S2, via which a radially inner edge region R2i and a radially outer edge region R2a are connected. Also visible is the flange-like projection V2, which extends radially outward from the top side of the second frame part R2 along its entire circumference.
[0064] On the third frame part R3, one can see the first formation F31 and the second formation F32, which is arranged diametrically opposite to it, as well as the two flange-like projections V3, which are also arranged diametrically opposite to each other. As mentioned above, the turned-over edge regions T21 and T22 of the elastically stretched section T2 of the textile structure T can be easily hooked onto the formations F31 and F32, respectively (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ).
[0065] In Fig. 3 A further perspective view of two parts of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown in the assembled state. The second frame part R2 and the third frame part R3 inserted therein can be seen.
[0066] On the second frame part R2, one can see the radial slot SR2, the handle G2, and the four radial webs or connecting webs S2, via which the radially inner edge region R2i and the radially outer edge region R2a are connected. Also visible is the flange-like projection V2, which protrudes radially outward from the top side of the second frame part R2.
[0067] On the third frame part R3, one can see the two diametrically opposed formations F31 and F32 as well as the two diametrically opposed flange-like projections V3. As mentioned above, the everted edge regions T21 and T22 of the elastically stretched section T2 of the textile structure T can be easily hooked onto the formations F31 and F32, respectively (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ).
[0068] In Fig. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the two parts of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention of Fig. 3Shown disassembled. You can see the second frame part R2 at the bottom and the third frame part R3 at the top.
[0069] In Fig. 3 and in Fig. 4 Identical reference symbols used correspond to identical elements of the embroidery frame arrangement 1 according to the invention.
[0070] In Fig. 5 A perspective view of the second part of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown. The second frame part R2 can be seen.
[0071] In Fig. 3 and in Fig 5 Identical reference symbols used correspond to identical elements of the embroidery frame arrangement 1 according to the invention.
[0072] In Fig. 6 A perspective view of a third part of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown. The third frame part R3 can be seen.
[0073] In Fig. 3 and in Fig 6 Identical reference symbols used correspond to identical elements of the embroidery frame arrangement 1 according to the invention.
[0074] In Fig. 7A A side view of the third part of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown. The third frame part R3 can be seen with its two diametrically opposed formations F31 and F32 as well as the projection V3. As mentioned above, the turned-up edge regions T21 and T22 of the elastically stretched portion T2 of the textile structure T can be easily hooked onto the formations F31 and F32, respectively (see Fig. 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ).
[0075] In Fig. 7B A side view of the second part of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown. The second frame part R2 with its flange-like projection V2 and its radial slot SR2 can be seen.
[0076] In Fig. 7C A side view of the third part of the embroidery frame assembly 1 according to the invention is shown. The first frame part R1 with its docking device AV and its tensioning device SV can be seen.
[0077] In Fig. 8 is a first step of a method for using the embroidery frame arrangement 1 according to the invention according to Fig. 1 bis Fig. 7 Shown is the embroidery frame assembly 1 provided, comprising the first frame part R1, the second frame part R2, and the third frame part R3 in the assembled state, ie, the second frame part R2 inserted into the first frame part R1, and the third frame part R3 inserted into the second frame part R2. The clamping device SV on the first frame part R1 is shown. Also shown are the first formation F31 and the second formation F32 of the third frame part R3.
[0078] Next to the embroidery frame assembly 1 is the tubular or bag-like textile structure T in the shape of a sock, which is to be embroidered using the inventive embroidery frame assembly 1. The textile structure T is highly elastic and therefore highly stretchable.
[0079] An embroidery stabilizer V is located above the embroidery frame arrangement 1 and the textile structure T. The embroidery stabilizer V is practically inextensible compared to the textile structure T. If the embroidery stabilizer V is clamped in the embroidery frame arrangement 1 together with the first partial area T1 of the textile structure T to be embroidered, i.e. lying next to one another in a non-displaceable manner, the first partial area T1 and the embroidery stabilizer V are clamped in the edge area of the partial area T1 to be embroidered. This prevents the partial area T1 of the highly elastic textile structure T to be embroidered from being stretched unevenly or in a direction-dependent (anisotropic) manner when clamped in the embroidery frame arrangement 1, which would lead to a distorted embroidery pattern after the embroidered partial area T1 has been embroidered and unclamped. In addition, the membrane-like double layer consisting of the partial area T1 to be embroidered and the embroidery backing V is less easily deformed and thus less susceptible to deflection from its membrane rest position by needle stitches, especially if the partial area T1 and the embroidery backing V are removably connected to one another (removable seams, water-soluble adhesive strips, water-soluble full-surface bonding of the partial area T1 with the embroidery backing V, etc.).
[0080] Alone Fig. 1 bis Fig. 7 as well as in Fig. 8 bis Fig. 20 The reference numerals used denote the same elements of the embroidery frame arrangement 1 according to the invention and of the tubular or sack-like textile structure T.
[0081] In Fig. 9 A second step of the process is shown. It can be seen how the stabilizer V is placed on the embroidery frame assembly 1 and covers it. This makes it possible, for example, to determine whether the cut-out stabilizer V is large enough to stabilize the section T1 of the highly elastic textile structure T to be embroidered, as described above. If the third frame part R3 was previously removed from the embroidery frame assembly 1, the stabilizer V covers the opening of the second frame part R2.
[0082] In Fig. 10 A third step of the process is shown. It shows the stabilizer V lying over the frame part R2 and how a part of the stabilizer V is pressed into the opening of the second frame part R2 by the third frame part R3, thus pre-positioning it.
[0083] In Fig. 11 A fourth step of the process is shown. It can be seen how the third frame part R3 is pushed into the opening of the tubular or sack-like textile structure T. The first formation F31 of the third frame part R3 is first pushed into the opening of the textile structure T.
[0084] In Fig. 12 A fifth step of the process is shown. It can be seen how the third frame part R3, with its first formation F31 facing forward (now hidden), has been completely pushed into the textile structure T. Only the second formation F32 of the third frame part R3, diametrically opposite the first formation F31, still protrudes slightly.
[0085] In Fig. 13 A sixth step of the method is shown. It can be seen how the textile structure T, with the third frame part R3 contained in its tubular or bag-like section (now concealed), is pressed onto the embroidery backing V pre-positioned above the second frame part R2. The tensioning device SV on the first frame part R1 is in its released state, in which the radial slot SR1 of the first frame part R1 and the radial slot SR2 of the second frame part R2 are wide, i.e., the first frame part R1 and the second frame part R2 are not tensioned.
[0086] In Fig. 14 A seventh step of the process is shown. It can be seen how the textile structure T, with the third frame part R3 (now concealed) contained in its tubular or bag-like section, has been pressed onto the embroidery backing V pre-positioned above the second frame part R2. The first partial area T1 of the textile structure T to be embroidered is covered by the second partial area T2 of the textile structure T not to be embroidered. The tensioning device SV on the first frame part R1 is still in its released state.
[0087] In Fig. 15 An eighth step of the process is shown. One can see how the first frame part R1 and the second frame part R2 are now gradually tensioned by means of the tensioning device SV. One can see the backing V, onto which the textile structure T with the third frame part R3 contained therein has been pressed. By tensioning the tensioning device SV, the backing V and the first section to be embroidered above it (in Fig. 15 The position of the textile structure T (hidden) is gradually fixed in the second frame part R2 by clamping the first partial area T1 and the embroidery backing V in the edge area of the partial area T1 to be embroidered. Also visible is the second partial area T2 of the textile structure T, which is not to be embroidered.
[0088] In Fig. 16 A ninth step of the method is shown. The tensioning device SV on the first frame part R1 is in its tensioned state, in which the radial slot SR1 of the first frame part R1 and the radial slot SR2 of the second frame part R2 are narrow, ie, the first frame part R1 and the second frame part R2 are sufficiently tensioned so that the first partial area T1, together with the embroidery backing V, is secured in the second frame part R2.
[0089] In Fig. 17 A tenth step of the method is shown. It can be seen how the second partial area T2 of the textile structure T, which is not to be embroidered, is grasped at the first edge area T21 of the second partial area T2 and pulled towards the first formation F31 of the third frame part R3 (in Fig. 17 to the left) to be hooked onto the first formation F31 with its first edge area T21 (beginning of hooking). The second section T2 and its first edge area T21 are elastically stretched. The first section T1 of the textile structure T, which is to be embroidered, now appears.
[0090] In Fig. 18 An eleventh step of the process is shown. It can be seen how the second sub-area T2 of the textile structure T, which is not to be embroidered, is largely hooked with its first edge region T21 to the first formation F31 of the third frame part R3 (end of hooking). The second sub-area T2 and its first edge region T21 are now elastically stretched. The second edge region T22 of the second sub-area T2 of the textile structure T, which is not to be embroidered, is also grasped and pulled towards the second formation F32 of the third frame part R3 (in Fig. 17 and Fig. 18 to the right) to be hooked onto the second formation F32 with its second edge area T22 (beginning of hooking). The first section T1 of the textile structure T to be embroidered is now completely exposed.
[0091] In Fig. 19 A twelfth step of the process is shown. It can be seen how the second part T2 of the textile structure T, which is not to be embroidered, is largely hooked with its second edge area T22 to the second formation F32 of the third frame part R3 (end of hooking).
[0092] In Fig. 20 A thirteenth step of the process is shown. The first partial area T1 of the textile structure T to be embroidered is clamped together with the embroidery stabilizer V in the second frame part R2. The second partial area T2 of the textile structure T not to be embroidered is now completely hooked with its first edge area T21 to the first formation F31 of the third frame part R3 and completely hooked with its second edge area T22 to the second formation F32 of the third frame part R3. The first partial area T1 of the textile structure T to be embroidered is now completely exposed and prepared for embroidery. Liste der Bezugszeichen
