Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a deployable / retractable shelter device.

[0002] This invention will find its application mainly when it comes to quickly and easily creating a shelter to house people, particularly in the field of event management.

[0003] In fact, the present invention relates to the field of manufacturing shelter devices configured, on the one hand, to be deployed in order to constitute a shelter from the sun or inclement weather and, on the other hand, to be folded up for transport and storage.

[0004] We already know of such shelter devices which include, on the one hand, uprights which are configured to rest on the ground, on the other hand, a deformable skeleton which is mounted on the uprights and, on the other hand, a roof which surmounts said deformable skeleton and the uprights, and which includes at least one frame as well as at least one covering which covers the frame.

[0005] Such a shelter system includes a frame that may incorporate a mast which, in the deployed configuration of the shelter system, extends from and above the deformable skeleton, particularly vertically. It is specifically over this mast that the roof covering is stretched. The presence of such a mast entails a number of drawbacks.

[0006] First, to withstand the stresses exerted by the stretched cover over the mast, the mast must possess structural strength characteristics that result in a significant weight. Furthermore, the shelter system must include means of attaching the mast to the frame and / or means of deploying and retracting it. Again, these means represent a significant weight. Consequently, the presence of the mast and its surrounding components contributes substantially to the weight of the shelter system and considerably increases its overall weight.

[0007] Furthermore, as mentioned above, in the deployed configuration of the shelter system, this mast extends from and above the deformable frame, specifically vertically. It should be noted that bringing this mast into its deployed / folded configuration requires a specific and additional manipulation compared to the deployment / folding of the rest of the shelter system. This results in an additional, time-consuming, and cumbersome step, particularly due to the configuration and / or bulk of the deformable frame, which hinders the simplicity and speed of the overall deployment / folding of the shelter system.

[0008] Ultimately, the presence of such a mast allows the roof to have a single, unique shape.

[0009] The present invention is intended to remedy, at least in part, the drawbacks of shelter devices in the prior art.

[0010] To this end, the invention relates to a deployable / foldable shelter device comprising, on the one hand, uprights having a lower part intended to rest on the ground and an upper part, on the other hand, a deformable frame mounted on the upper part of the uprights, and, on the other hand, a roof, which surmounts the uprights, and which includes at least one inflatable element that bears support on at least one of said uprights and / or on the deformable frame and / or on another inflatable element. This deployable / foldable shelter device is characterized in that the roof surmounts the deformable frame, which includes, on the one hand, at least one longitudinal member having arms, on the other hand, at least one cross member having arms, and, on the other hand, at least one articulation means configured to mount such an arm in an articulated manner, as the case may be, relative to at least one other arm or relative to one of the uprights.

[0011] According to a first type of embodiment, on the one hand, the roof comprises at least one dome or at least one section and, on the other hand, said at least one dome or said at least one section comprises said at least one inflatable element.

[0012] According to a second type of embodiment, on the one hand, the roof comprises a framework and at least one covering which covers the framework and, on the other hand, at least said framework comprises said at least one inflatable element.

[0013] Another characteristic relates to the fact that the deployable / foldable shelter device includes association means which are configured to associate said at least one inflatable element and said at least one cover.

[0014] In particular, the means of association include at least one housing unit, which includes said at least one cover, and within which said at least one inflatable element is housed.

[0015] According to another characteristic, the association means include assembly means, including reversible means, which are configured to assemble, including reversibly, said at least one cover and said at least one inflatable element.

[0016] Yet another characteristic concerns the fact that the association means include fastening means which are configured to fix said at least one inflatable element on said at least one cover.

[0017] Another characteristic relates to the fact that the deployable / retractable shelter device comprises, on the one hand, at least one main inflatable element which is configured to be associated with an inflation means, on the other hand, at least one accessory inflatable element and, on the other hand, connection means which are configured to pneumatically connect said main inflatable element and said at least one accessory inflatable element.

[0018] According to another feature, the deployable / foldable shelter device includes fastening means that are configured to fix the roof to the deformable skeleton and / or to the uprights.

[0019] Thus, the deployable / retractable shelter system includes at least one inflatable element that makes up the roof.

[0020] The presence of such an inflatable element makes it advantageous to substantially lighten the roof and, therefore, the entire deployable / foldable shelter system.

[0021] Furthermore, in its deflated state, such an inflatable element has a small footprint, which advantageously allows the roof to be housed inside the deformable frame when the deployable / foldable shelter is folded. In addition, such an inflatable element is easy to deploy (particularly inflate and deflate) and replace (especially in case of damage). Moreover, proper inflation of such an inflatable element allows the roof to be optimally tensioned and provides sufficient rigidity to the roof, and indeed to the entire deployable / foldable shelter system.

[0022] In addition, the presence of one or more inflatable elements and the multiplicity of possibilities for their arrangement makes it advantageous to give the roof (and, thus, the entire deployable / foldable shelter system) a multiplicity of diverse and varied, even complex, shapes.

[0023] Another key feature is that the deployable / folding shelter system includes fastening means configured to secure the roof to the deformable frame and / or uprights. These fastening means can be reversible, which advantageously allows the roof to be detached, particularly for replacement, cleaning, or repair. This also allows, while retaining the rest of the deployable / folding shelter system (especially the deformable frame and uprights), for the roof to be replaced with another roof, either identical or of a different, similar, or identical shape, depending on the needs (particularly in case of damage) and / or preferences (especially when a different shape is desired).

[0024] Finally, the presence of at least one inflatable element allows, advantageously and by influencing inflation, for the roof to have a semi-rigid character, which in turn allows it to better withstand wind and absorb gusts. When this roof combines a deformable covering with at least one inflatable element (which can be rigid), the roof again exhibits a semi-rigid character, providing the same advantages as those mentioned above.

[0025] Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent during the following description relating to embodiments which are given only as indicative and non-limiting examples.

[0027] The present invention relates to the field of manufacturing deployable / foldable shelter devices which are configured, on the one hand, to be deployed in order to constitute a shelter from the sun and / or weather and, on the other hand, to be folded for transport and / or storage.

[0028] The invention relates, then, to a deployable / retractable shelter device 1 which, for reasons of simplification, will be referred to as "shelter device 1" in the rest of the description.

[0029] Such a shelter device 1 includes uprights 2 which comprise, on the one hand, a lower part 20 intended to rest on the ground and, on the other hand, an upper part 21.

[0030] Such amounts 2 are preferably of the deployable / foldable type, more particularly in a telescopic manner.

[0031] Such a shelter device 1 also includes a skeleton 3, which is deformable, and which is mounted on the upper part 21 of the uprights 2, more particularly by means of mounting.

[0032] This deformable skeleton 3 includes, on the one hand, at least one longitudinal member 4, which includes arms 40, which extends between two uprights 2 (or, preferably, which connects two of these uprights 2) and / or which extends along a substantially vertical plane.

[0033] In this regard, it will be observed that said at least one longitudinal member 4 comprises at least two arms 40 while the mounting means are configured to mount, on the one hand, the end of one of these two arms 40 in a movable rotational manner and fixed in translation relative to (more particularly on) one of said uprights 2 (more particularly on the upper part 21 of this upright 2, in particular on the upper end of this upright 2) and, on the other hand, the end of the other of these two arms 40 in a movable rotational manner and movable in translation relative to this upright 2 (more particularly along this upright 2, this between the upper part 21 and the lower part 20 of this upright 2).

[0034] On the other hand, this deformable skeleton 3 includes at least one cross member 5, which also includes arms 50, which extends between two uprights 2 (or, preferably, which connects two of these uprights 2) and / or which extends along a substantially vertical plane.

[0035] In this regard, it will be observed that said at least one cross member 5 comprises at least two arms 50 while the mounting means are configured to mount, on the one hand, the end of one of these two arms 50 in a movable rotational manner and fixed in translation relative to (more particularly on) one of said uprights 2 (more particularly on the upper part 21 of this upright 2, in particular on the upper end of this upright 2) and, on the other hand, the end of the other of these two arms 50 in a movable rotational manner and movable in translation relative to this upright 2 (more particularly along this upright 2, this between the upper part 21 and the lower part 20 of this upright 2).

[0036] Furthermore, this deformable skeleton 3 includes at least one means of articulation 6 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) in an articulated manner, as appropriate, relative to at least one other arm (40; 50) or relative to one of the uprights 2.

[0037] In this regard, it will be observed that such a means of articulation 6 can be a scissor articulation means 60 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) which comprises said at least one longitudinal member 4, respectively which comprises said at least one cross member 5, this in a manner articulated with respect to (more particularly on) at least another arm (40; 50) which comprises said at least one longitudinal member 4, respectively which comprises said at least one cross member 5, more particularly in the central part of such an arm (40; 50).

[0038] Alternatively or additionally, such an articulation means 6 may be an umbrella articulation means 61 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) comprising said at least one longitudinal member 4 or comprising said at least one cross member 5, this in a manner articulated with respect to at least one other arm 40 comprising said at least one longitudinal member 4 and / or with respect to at least one other arm 50 comprising said at least one cross member 5, more particularly at the level of one end of such an arm (40; 50).A particular embodiment illustrated in the figures in the appendix consists in such an umbrella articulation means 61 being configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) comprising said at least one longitudinal member 4 (respectively comprising said at least one cross member 5), this in a manner articulated with respect to at least one other arm (40; 50) comprising said at least one longitudinal member 4 (respectively comprising said at least one cross member 5) as well as with respect to at least one other arm 50 comprising said at least one cross member 5 (respectively comprising said at least one longitudinal member 4), more particularly at the level of one end of such an arm (40; 50).

[0039] Alternatively, such an articulation means 6 may be a pivoting articulation means 62 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) comprising said at least one longitudinal member 4 or said at least one cross member 5, this in a pivoting articulated manner with respect to one of the uprights 2 (more particularly on one of the uprights 2).

[0040] In this regard, it will be observed that such an articulation means 6 (more particularly an umbrella articulation means 61) then comprises, on the one hand, a base 63, on the other hand, at least one articulation member 64 which is configured to mount at least one arm (40; 50), more particularly that said at least one longitudinal member 4 (respectively that said at least one cross member 5) pivots on the base 63 and, on the other hand, at least another articulation member 65 which is configured to mount at least one other arm (40; 50), more particularly that said at least one longitudinal member 4 (respectively that said at least one cross member 5) pivots on the base 63.In addition, such an articulation means 6 may, furthermore, comprise at least one additional articulation member 66 which is configured to mount at least one other arm (50; 40), more particularly that said comprises at least one cross member 5 (respectively that said comprises at least one longitudinal member 4) pivoting on the base 63.

[0041] According to another feature, the shelter device 1 includes a roof 7, which surmounts said deformable frame 3 and the uprights 2, and which is fixed to said frame 3 and / or to the uprights 2 as will be described in more detail below. Such a roof 7 may include at least one dome (or even a plurality of domes) or at least one slope (or even a plurality of slopes).

[0042] According to the invention, said roof 7 comprises at least one inflatable element 70 which rests at least on at least one of said uprights 2 and / or on the deformable skeleton 3 and / or on another inflatable element 70.

[0043] In this regard, it will be observed that such an inflatable element 70 is configured to bear at least on at least one of said uprights 2 and / or on the deformable skeleton 3 and / or on another inflatable element 70, this from the top (or even on top) of such an upright 2 and / or from the top (or even on top) of such a deformable skeleton 3 and / or from the top (or even on top) of such another inflatable element 70, more particularly after the deployment of said deformable skeleton 3 and after inflation of such an inflatable element 70.

[0044] According to a first type of embodiment not shown, in the roof 7, said at least one dome or said at least one section comprises said at least one inflatable element 70.

[0045] According to a first embodiment, said at least one dome comprises said at least one inflatable element 70, or is constituted by said at least one inflatable element 70.

[0046] A particular embodiment consists in that said at least one dome comprises a plurality of inflatable elements 70, or is made up of a plurality of inflatable elements 70.

[0047] It will be observed that, when the roof 7 has a plurality of domes, at least part of these domes (or even all of these domes) has at least one inflatable element 70, or is made up of at least one such inflatable element 70.

[0048] According to another embodiment, said at least one panel comprises said at least one inflatable element 70, or is constituted by said at least one inflatable element 70.

[0049] A particular embodiment consists in that said at least one panel comprises a plurality of inflatable elements 70, or is made up of a plurality of inflatable elements 70.

[0050] It will be observed that, when the roof 7 has a plurality of sections, at least a part of these sections (or even all of these sections) has at least one inflatable element 70, or is made up of at least one such inflatable element 70.

[0051] According to a second type of embodiment illustrated in the figures in the appendix, said roof 7 comprises, on the one hand, a framework 8, more particularly which surmounts (in particular which is positioned on top of) the skeleton 3 and / or the uprights 2, or which is supported on this skeleton 3 (more particularly from above, or even on top of such a skeleton 3) and / or on these uprights 2 (more particularly from above, or even on top of such an upright 2), and, on the other hand, at least one covering 9, which covers (more particularly which is positioned on top of) the framework 8, or even against which said framework 8 is supported (more particularly from below, or even on the below of this covering 9).

[0052] In such a type of embodiment, at least said framework 8 includes said at least one inflatable element 70, or is constituted (at least in part) by said at least one inflatable element 70.

[0053] With regard to said cover 9 and according to a first variant, said cover 9 may be made of a textile material, more particularly of fabric.

[0054] Said at least one inflatable element 70, which comprises said frame 8, when inflated, can then bear against said at least one cover 9 (more particularly from below, or even on the underside, of this cover 9) which advantageously allows such a cover 9 to be put under tension.

[0055] However, according to another variant, said at least one cover 9 may also include at least one inflatable element 70, or even be made up (at least in part) of at least one such inflatable element 70. The inflation of said at least one inflatable element 70 then allows this cover 9 to be put under tension.

[0056] According to another feature, said at least one inflatable element 70 is associated with said at least one cover 9. To do this, the shelter device 1 includes association means 10 which are configured to associate said at least one inflatable element 70 and said at least one cover 9.

[0057] According to a first embodiment, the association means 10 comprise at least one housing, which comprises at least one cover 9, and within which at least one inflatable element 70 is housed. Such a housing may be in the form of a sheath or the like.

[0058] According to a second type of embodiment (not shown), the association means 10 comprise assembly means, in particular reversible, which are configured to assemble, in particular reversibly, said at least one cover 9 and said at least one inflatable element 70.

[0059] Such assembly means can, in particular, be configured to reversibly assemble said at least one cover 9 and said at least one inflatable element 70 and, thus, achieve a reversible assembly of said at least one cover 9 and said at least one inflatable element 70. Such a reversible assembly then allows said at least one inflatable element 70 to be removable and, if necessary, to detach said at least one inflatable element 70 from said at least one cover 9, in particular for the purpose of removing it from the shelter device 1, for example for its replacement in case of damage.

[0060] According to a first embodiment of such a second type of embodiment, these assembly means comprise a zipper which includes, on the one hand, a first part which is attached to said at least one cover 9 (more particularly which equips said at least one cover 9) and, on the other hand, a second part, which is configured to cooperate with the first part, and which is attached to said at least one inflatable element 70 (more particularly which equips said at least one inflatable element 70).

[0061] However, and according to a second embodiment of such a second type of embodiment, the assembly means comprise at least one snap button which includes, on the one hand, a male part which is integral with said at least one cover 9 (more particularly which equips said at least one cover 9), respectively which is integral with said at least one inflatable element 70 (more particularly which equips said at least one inflatable element 70), and, on the other hand, a female part, which cooperates with the male part, and which is integral with said at least one inflatable element 70 (more particularly which equips said at least one inflatable element 70), respectively which is integral with said at least one cover 9 (more particularly which equips said at least one cover 9).

[0062] Finally, and according to a third type of embodiment, the association means 10 include fastening means which are configured to fix said at least one inflatable element 70 on said at least one cover 9. Such fastening means may take the form of a seam, at least one staple, glue or the like.

[0063] According to another characteristic, said at least one inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 and / or from one of said uprights 2 and / or from another inflatable element 70 and, on the other hand, up to, as the case may be, the deformable skeleton 3, another of said uprights 2 or another inflatable element 70.

[0064] In this regard, it should be noted that, in the figures [ Fig.1 ] And [ Fig.2 ], such an inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 or from one of said uprights 2 or from another inflatable element 70 and, on the other hand, to another inflatable element 70.

[0065] In the figures [ Fig.3 ], [ Fig.4 ] And [ Fig.6 ], such an inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 or from one of said uprights 2 and, on the other hand, to another inflatable element 70.

[0066] In the figure [ Fig.5 ], such an inflatable element 70 extends, on the one hand, from the deformable skeleton 3 or from one of said uprights 2 and, on the other hand, to the deformable skeleton 3, to another of said uprights 2 or to another inflatable element 70.

[0067] Yet another characteristic (not shown) concerns the fact that the shelter device 1 comprises, on the one hand, at least one main inflatable element 70 configured to be connected to an inflation device (particularly a pump, compressor, or similar), on the other hand, at least one accessory inflatable element 70, and, furthermore, connection means (particularly a tube, hose, or similar) configured to pneumatically connect said main inflatable element 70 and said at least one accessory inflatable element 70. This configuration advantageously allows the accessory inflatable element 70 to be inflated simultaneously while the main inflatable element 70 is being inflated.

[0068] As mentioned above, the roof 7 is fixed to said skeleton 3 and / or to the uprights 2. To do this, the shelter device 1 includes fixing means 11 which are configured to fix the roof 7 to the deformable skeleton 3 and / or to the uprights 2.

[0069] In fact, these fixing means 11 are, more particularly, configured to fix the frame 8 and / or the covering 9 (which comprises this roof 7) on the deformable skeleton 3 and / or on the uprights 2, more particularly on the upper part 21 of these uprights 2.

[0070] As mentioned above, the deformable skeleton 3 comprises, on the one hand, at least one longitudinal member 4 which includes arms 40, on the other hand, at least one cross member 5 which includes arms 50 and, on the other hand, at least one articulation means 6 which is configured to mount such an arm (40; 50) in an articulated manner, as appropriate, relative to at least one other arm (40; 50) or relative to one of the uprights 2.

[0071] Also, and according to a particular embodiment, the fixing means 11 are configured to fix the roof 7 onto said at least one articulation means 6 which comprises the deformable skeleton 3.

[0072] According to a preferred embodiment, these fastening means 11 are configured to fix the cover 9 (which comprises this roof 7) on said base 63 (which comprises said at least one articulation means 6).

[0073] In addition, said fastening means 11 are preferably reversible. Such fastening means 11 then advantageously allow the roof 7 to be removable and to detach this roof 7 from the deformable frame 3 and / or from the uprights 2, more particularly for the purpose of cleaning, repairing or replacing this roof 7 (as the case may be, according to the prior art or conforming to that provided by the shelter device 1 according to the present invention when this roof 7 is degraded or unsuitable for the user's wishes or intended use) with another roof 7 conforming to that provided by the shelter device 1 according to the present invention, in particular identical or of identical, similar or different shape, as the case may be.

[0074] As mentioned above, the framework 8 rests on the skeleton 3 (more particularly from above, especially on the top, of this skeleton 3) and / or on the uprights 2 (more particularly from above, especially on the top, of such an upright 2).

[0075] In this regard, it will be observed that it is, more particularly, the said at least one inflatable element 70 (which comprises the roof 7, more particularly the framework 8) which then takes support at least on the said at least one means of articulation 6 (more particularly on the said base 63 which comprises such a means of articulation 6) which comprises the deformable skeleton 3, more particularly which comprises the said at least one stringer 4 or the said at least one cross member 5 which comprises this deformable skeleton 3.

[0076] Yet another characteristic is that the shelter device 1 has a side skirt 12.

[0077] Such a side skirt 12 extends, on the one hand, from the roof 7 (more particularly from the cover 9 which this roof 7 comprises), on the other hand, in the extension of the roof 7 (more particularly in the extension of the cover 9), and, on the other hand again, around the periphery (more particularly external) of the deformable skeleton 3 and the uprights 2.

[0078] This side skirt 12 is configured to limit the deployment of the deformable skeleton 3.

[0079] Furthermore, such a side skirt 12 can be made of the same material as the cover 9.

[0080] Finally, the shelter system 1 can be further supplemented by at least one mast (not shown). Such a mast extends between, on the one hand, the deformable frame 3 and / or one of the uprights 2 and, on the other hand, the roof 7, more specifically the covering 9 and / or the framework 8, including at least one inflatable element 70. Such a mast keeps said inflatable element 70 in place in the event of excessive stress on the shelter system 1. Such a mast is preferably removable.
