Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a multifunctional chair frame with a stand device having a rotating component that is connected to a seat support via a bearing pin and can rotate about a rotation axis passing through the central longitudinal axis of the bearing pin. Technical background
[0002] There are currently a variety of seating furniture on the market. Depending on the daily needs of users, different types of chairs have different functions. According to different functions, there are currently two types of chairs: swivel chairs and rocking chairs. The rocking chair can only swing back and forth, while the swivel chair can only perform a smooth 360-degree rotation. Due to the direction changes of the two types of seats, when the human body sits on the swivel chair or rocking chair, with the continuous slow circular rotation motion of the swivel chair or the continuous slow rocking motion of the rocking chair, the muscles of the human body are relieved and relaxed, and the blood circulation of the human body is also improved.Tension, stiffness, or pressure caused by life and work can quickly transform into a relaxed state and eliminate fatigue. However, the current seat frame only has the function of either swinging back and forth or rotating, and cannot achieve multidirectional motion modes of 360-degree rotation and simultaneous forward and backward swinging.
[0003] Such multifunctional chair frames are known from the prior art in connection with swivel chairs, e.g., office chairs, kitchen chairs, or the like. These prior art chair frames either have a swivel function in conjunction with a tilt function, in which, after a tilt lock is released, the seat unit can pivot backward from a working position into a tilted rest position. Such a chair frame then also features an automatic return function. The seat unit is thus automatically moved back from the tilted rest position to the working position when the load is removed. In the working position and the rest position, the respective seating positions are rigidly designed, meaning that the respective seating position is locally determined within the material and assembly-related tolerances.
[0004] In many situations, it would be desirable to achieve the same level of seating comfort as non-swivelling chairs, allowing the user to choose between a specific and an indefinite seating position without having to first release a tilt lock.
[0005] The object of the present invention is therefore to further develop a multifunctional chair frame of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that a determination of the sitting position can be optionally lifted.
[0006] The object is achieved according to the invention in that the seat holder comprises at least one freely swinging support element on which a seat can be fastened.
[0007] The present invention now has the advantage of being able to selectively bring about a seating position that is indeterminate, at least with respect to a horizontal plane, from any specific seating position.
[0008] A further advantage of the present invention is that the at least one freely oscillating support element is connected to a rotating component mounted on the bearing journal. This makes it possible to perform the rotating function simultaneously with the oscillating function.
[0009] It is also an advantage of the present invention that the at least one freely oscillating support element engages a front peripheral region of the rotating component with a lower support section and extends over a rear peripheral region of the rotating component with an upper support section. This design essentially concentrates the oscillation capability of the at least one support element on an up-and-down movement. Attachment, for example, to the top of the rotating component allows for more oscillation components in a forward and backward direction.
[0010] Another advantage is that the lower support section is essentially straight, and the upper support section is essentially straight. This optimizes the alignment of the seat unit on the multifunctional chair frame. In this design, the upper support section effectively transfers forces via the lower support section to the rotating component.
[0011] The advantageous effects of this invention: The chair frame can rotate 360 degrees, swing forward and backward, and automatically return to its original position. The seat mounted on this chair frame can be rotated or tilted at any time according to the human posture, allowing the seat to flexibly change movement in various directions and continuously return to its original position, thereby alleviating the user's physical fatigue, gradually relaxing the tense state of the body, and improving the comfort of the seat.
[0012] Further advantages arise from the further features of the subclaims.
[0013] An embodiment of the present invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawings. It shows: Figure 1 shows a perspective, schematic overall view of a multifunctional chair frame according to the present invention; Figure 2 shows a schematic exploded view of the multifunctional chair frame according to the present invention. Figure 3 shows a schematic top view of the multifunctional chair frame according to the present invention; Figure 4 shows a schematic side view of the multifunctional chair frame according to the present invention.
[0014] The Figures 1 , 2 , 3 and 4The multifunctional chair frame S shown has, in the embodiment shown, a rotation function with 360-degree rotation, an automatic return function, and a swing function. For this purpose, the chair frame S comprises a support rod 1, at the free end or tip of which a bearing pin 2 is formed. The bearing pin 2 has a central longitudinal axis that coincides with a rotation axis D. The bearing pin 3 serves as a pivot bearing for a rotating component 3. The rotating component 3 has a corresponding receiving opening 3.2 on an underside 3.1. When the rotating component 3 is mounted on the bearing pin 2 with the receiving opening 3.2, it is mounted so it can rotate through 360° and can rotate in both directions about the bearing pin 2 and the rotation axis running through its central longitudinal axis. In the present embodiment, an automatic return mechanism is also connected to the bearing pin 2.In other embodiments, however, this reset mechanism may be omitted or may only be semi-automatic and / or manually operated.
[0015] The rotating component 3 has a circumference 3.3. At a Figure 4 well-illustrated anterior circumferential section 3.4 (by definition on the left in Figure 4) a seat holder 4 is attached. The front peripheral section 3.4 is designated with the suffix "front" to indicate the orientation of a seat unit (not shown) to be mounted on the chair frame 1. A front seat edge of such a seat unit and the front peripheral section 3.4 therefore point forward in the same direction when a seat unit is mounted on the chair frame 1. This also immediately defines the main seat direction for a chair with the chair frame 1. In the illustrated embodiment, the seat holder 4 comprises a first support element 4.1 and a second support element 4.2. In other embodiments, at least one support element 4.1 / 4.2 can be provided, i.e., a single support element or more than two support elements. In other embodiments, the first support element 4.1 and the second support element 4.2 can also be guided through the rotating component 3 and attached to a rear peripheral section 3.5 again. The rear peripheral section 3.5 is designated with the suffix "rear" to indicate the orientation of a seat unit (not shown) to be mounted on the chair frame 1. A rear seat edge or backrest of such a seat unit and the rear peripheral section 3.5 therefore point in the same rearward direction when a seat unit is mounted on the chair frame 1. Although a user can also sit backwards on a chair with an appropriately designed backrest, the main sitting direction is the direction in which a user can support themselves with their thighs on the front edge of the seat and lean their back against the backrest.
[0016] By adjusting the bushing, the vibration behavior of the two support elements 4.1 and 4.2 can also be modified. In the illustrated embodiment, the rotating component 3 thus connects the first support element 4.1 and the second support element 4.2 of the seat mount 4, so that these two elements extend from it in a fork-like, curved shape, each forming a free end.
[0017] In the illustrated embodiment, the first support element 4.1 and the second support element 4.2 are rod-shaped / bar-shaped and mirror-symmetrical to one another and have a round or non-round, for example rectangular, square, or polygonal cross-section. Each of the two support elements 4.1 and 4.2 is attached at one end to the front circumferential section 3.4. The attachment to the front circumferential section 3.4 can be fixed or detachable. A detachable connection between each end and the front circumferential section 3.4 has the advantage of easier disassembly and assembly for different purposes. The attachment of the first and second support elements 4.1 and 4.2 to the front circumferential region 3.4 of the rotating component 3 ensures that the oscillation behavior of the two support elements 4.1, 4.2 is essentially limited to up and down oscillation.
[0018] Each of the two support elements 4.1 and 4.2 has an upper support section 4a and a lower support section 4b, which are connected to each other via a connecting section 4c. In the illustrated embodiment, the first and second support elements 4.1 and 4.2 are formed as a single piece. In other embodiments, the support elements 4.1 and 4.2 can also be formed as multiple parts and connected detachably or mechanically fixed (non-detachably).
[0019] The rotating component 3 lies in a first horizontal plane H1, and the upper support section 4a lies in at least one second horizontal plane H2, wherein the at least one second horizontal plane H2 lies above the first horizontal plane H1 and thus above the rotating component 3 during the intended use of the chair frame S. The two upper support sections 4a lie essentially parallel to one another in the at least one second horizontal plane H2 and have the respective free end of the two support sections 4.1 and 4.2.
[0020] In the illustrated embodiment, the support rod 1 with the bearing pin 2 serves as the central pivot point of a seat and at the same time provides a central seat center of gravity.
[0021] A seat unit (not shown) is mounted on the upper support section 4a of the seat holder 4. For this purpose, at least one fastening plate 5 is mounted on the upper support section 4a of each of the first and second support elements 4.1 and 4.2. The at least one fastening plate 5 on the upper support section 4a of the first support element 4.1 is aligned substantially parallel to the at least one fastening plate 5 on the upper support section 4a of the second support element 4.2. The at least one fastening plate 5 has a surface 5.1 which, in the illustrated embodiment, is aligned substantially parallel to the second horizontal plane H2. At least one mounting hole 6 is formed in this surface 5.1 in order to fasten the seat unit to the respective fastening plate 5, for example by screwing. Alternatively, the fastening can also be effected by means of a plug-in and / or snap-in connection. In the embodiment shown, the seat unit is mounted to the mounting hole 6 of the mounting plate 5 by means of screws, thereby achieving a firm connection between the chair frame S and the seat unit, which makes installation simple and convenient.
[0022] When a person sits on the seat unit mounted on the chair frame S, the posture of the human body tilts backward. Initially, the connecting section 4c between the upper support section 4a and the lower support section 4b deforms, with the curvature of the connecting section 4c increasing slightly. The support elements 4.1 and 4.2 are made of a material with a modulus of elasticity that allows a spring effect and thus a freely swinging movement of the support elements 4.1 and 4.2 as well as of the respective upper support section 4a in relation to the respective lower support section 4b. The seat unit can thus follow a slow and continuous swinging movement. The person's body is relieved by the swinging movement and relaxes.Due to the lack of a connection between the free ends of the two essentially parallel upper support sections 4a, a lateral spring effect, i.e., transverse to the main position of a person sitting on the seat unit, also occurs when the seat unit mounted on the chair frame 1 is subjected to a lateral load. The connecting section 4c has a curved or bent structure, with the degree of bending or curvature influencing the amplitude of the swinging motion. Thus, a larger radius of curvature of the connecting section 4c leads to a larger amplitude, and vice versa.
[0023] The inclination range of the seat unit can also be adjusted according to the user's needs to optimize seating comfort. Thus, in certain embodiments, the upper support section 4a can be aligned or positioned at an angle to the second horizontal plane H2.
[0024] The chair frame S also includes a stand 8 with a plurality of support legs 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4. In the illustrated embodiment, three support legs 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4 are provided. In other embodiments, fewer or more support legs may be provided.
[0025] The stand assembly 8 also includes a sleeve 7 with a round cross-section, to which the support feet 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 are mounted at equal angular spacing and extend outward from the sleeve 7 relative to the rotation axis. These feet thus support the chair frame S on the floor on a base with a much larger circumference than the circumference of the sleeve 7. This ensures good stability.
[0026] The sleeve 7 has a receiving opening 7.1 in which the support rod 1 is precisely and rotationally fixedly received. The sleeve 7 can stably support and fix the support rod 1 and achieve a stable and balanced placement of the support feet 8.
[0027] The cross-sections of the upper support section 4a, the lower support section 4b, and the connecting section 4c are circular in the illustrated embodiment. The upper support section 4a, the lower support section 4b, and the connecting section 4c with a circular cross-section exhibit higher bending strength and fracture resistance than those with other cross-sections.
[0028] In an embodiment in which the upper support section 4a, the lower support section 4b and the connecting section 4c have a square cross-section, a higher compressive strength is present than with other cross-sections.
[0029] In embodiments in which the upper support portion 4a, the lower support portion 4b and the connecting portion 4c have a rectangular (not square) cross-section, the resistance to bending and torsion increases. List of reference symbols
