Abstract
Description
[0001]Henkel AG & Co. KGaA March 24, 2023 "Oxidative hair lightening agent with controlled swelling behavior" The present invention relates to oxidative hair lightening agents, in particular bleaching powders and bleaching pastes, with a reduced content of biodegradable complexing agent, which do not heat up excessively even when applied to hair with a higher metal or heavy metal content and thus gently lighten or lighten the hair. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of the agents for gently bleaching or oxidative lightening or for lightening the hair. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a multi-component packaging unit (kit of parts) for lightening or lightening the hair of keratin fibers, which comprises an oxidative hair lightening agent and, separately,an oxidizing agent preparation. Furthermore, a method for oxidative lightening or for lightening coloring of keratin fibers using the said oxidative hair lightening agent and the kit comprising this oxidative hair lightening agent is described. The oxidative hair lightening agent according to the invention is a substantially anhydrous oxidizing agent preparation containing at least one persalt. The substantially anhydrous oxidative hair lightening agent is preferably in powder or paste form. Lightening one's own hair color has always been the desire of many consumers, since a blonde hair color is considered attractive and desirable from a fashion point of view. For this purpose, various bleaching agents with different bleaching performance are available on the market. The oxidizing agents contained in these products are capable ofto lighten the hair fiber through the oxidative destruction of the hair's natural pigment, melanin. For a moderate bleaching effect, the use of hydrogen peroxide – optionally with the addition of ammonia or other alkalizing agents – as the oxidizing agent alone is sufficient. To achieve a stronger bleaching effect, a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and at least one compound selected from persalts, especially peroxodisulfate salts and / or peroxomonosulfate salts, is usually used. To enhance the bleaching effect, the products contain higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and persalts, especially persulfates. Dark, dark brown, or black hair can thus be lightened by 4 to 6 shades in a single step. The hydrogen peroxide and the persalt-containing hair lightening product are stored separately until use to avoid premature deactivation of the persalts. The hydrogen peroxide component, which comprises an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, has an acidic pH value, in particular a pH value of 1.5 to 5.5, in particular of 3 to 5, in each case measured at 20°C, to stabilize the hydrogen peroxide. However, for the melanin-degrading effect of the hydrogen peroxide and the bleaching effect on the keratinic fiber, it is advantageous if the application mixture of hydrogen peroxide solution and persalt-containing hair lightening agent has an alkaline pH value which is in the range of 8.0 to 11.5, preferably in the range of 8.5 to 11.0, particularly preferably 9.0 - 10.5, extremely preferably 9.5 - 10.0, in each case measured at 20°C. To adjust an alkaline pH value of the lightening application mixture, preferred oxidative hair lightening agents according to the invention can contain, in addition to the at least one persalt, at least one powdered alkalizing agent in such a total amount thatthat the application mixture has the desired alkaline pH. Alternatively, a third composition can be added to the application mixture of the oxidative hair lightening agent according to the invention and hydrogen peroxide solution, which contains one or more alkalizing agents in such an amount that the application mixture has an alkaline pH in the range from 8.0 to 11.5, preferably in the range from 8.5 to 11.0, particularly preferably 9.0 to 10.5, extraordinarily preferably 9.5 to 10.3, in each case measured at 20°C. If oxidation dye precursors and / or direct dyes are added to the oxidative hair lightening agent, the hair can be colored simultaneously. Corresponding hair colorants are offered in particular for consumers with very dark, melanin-rich hair. One requirement for the oxidative hair lightening agent according to the invention was to color the hair despite the harsh chemical conditions, that prevail during oxidative bleaching, without compromising the quality of the bleaching. The active ingredients used for this purpose should be as environmentally friendly as possible. The use of complexing agents in higher concentrations to reduce hair damage during oxidative hair treatment was already known from WO2002089754A1, WO2002074272A1, and WO2002074273A1. EP1714634A1 discloses a hair treatment kit for coloring human hair, comprising a first compartment containing a complexing agent and a second compartment containing a coloring agent. The complexing agent is intended to prevent undesirable reactions on and with hair that lead to undesirable heating of the agent during the preparation of the application mixture and its exposure time on the hair. Many bleaching products on the market contain HEDP (1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid) as complexing agents.Etidronic acid) or its salts or EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) or its salts. Both HEDP and EDTA effectively stabilize hydrogen peroxide and complex existing metal ions so efficiently that an undesirable temperature increase during use is virtually completely avoided. A major disadvantage of HEDP and EDTA, however, is their poor biodegradability. Especially recently, consumers have been paying increasing attention to the ecological profile of the cosmetic products they use. Consumers prefer, above all, sustainable cosmetics with biodegradable ingredients. The use of substances of natural origin as complexing agents is also already known in the prior art. For example, FR2852834A1 discloses agents for bleaching, coloring, or styling hair.which contain the combination of at least one oxidizing agent and at least one polyhydroxycarboxylic acid. Even though the polyhydroxycarboxylic acids of FR2852834A1 are readily biodegradable, the performance characteristics of the agents described in this document still require improvement, particularly with regard to heat development, which is particularly unfavorable in the presence of gluconic acid and its salts, and with regard to bleaching performance. However, the performance characteristics of the agents disclosed in the aforementioned documents still require improvement. In particular, the temperature development occurring during application to the hair still requires further optimization. Since chemical reactions occur when the anhydrous bleaching agent (non-compressed powder or paste) is mixed with the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, in which gaseous oxygen is released,The ready-to-use bleaching agent swells more and more during the application time on the hair. It initially changes from a cream to a foamy swell. Due to the coarse-pored foam texture, the ready-to-use bleaching agent does not adhere sufficiently to the hair fiber. This means that less ready-to-use bleaching agent, and thus less bleaching agent, reaches the hair fiber. To minimize foam formation, it is recommended to keep the surfactant content in the bleaching agent as low as possible or to formulate the product free of surfactants and emulsifiers. This can lead to a conflict of objectives, as ready-to-use bleaching agents are often formulated with a certain amount of oil and / or fatty components to minimize hair damage during the harsh oxidative hair treatment. To make the oil and fatty components miscible with the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution,However, the presence of emulsifiers may sometimes be unavoidable. Certain silicone compounds can suppress foam formation, but these bleaching agents should be formulated without the addition of silicone compounds for reasons of ecological sustainability. In addition to the surfactant or emulsifier content, the thickeners used in the anhydrous bleaching powder or paste are primarily responsible for foam formation. These thickeners, which are essentially hydrophilic polymer thickeners, result in the ready-to-use bleaching agent, when the anhydrous bleaching agent (uncompressed powder or paste) is mixed with the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, taking on a cream-like consistency that is initially easy to apply to the hair, but then solidifies as much as possible during the contact time.so that it does not drip down from the hair or flow onto the scalp. A further requirement for the present bleaching agents was the avoidance of polymers that include acrylic acid, acrylic acid amides, acrylic acid esters, methacrylic acid, methacrylic acid amides, methacrylic acid esters, vinylpyrrolidones, vinyl acetate, vinyl alcohol, and / or styrenes as chain-forming monomers. Therefore, the hydrophilic polymer thickeners should be based on natural raw materials. Furthermore, the development of reaction heat when mixing the anhydrous bleaching agent with the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution should be as low as possible in order to avoid thermal irritation of the scalp. Preliminary tests have shown that the heat development can be influenced by the choice of complexing agent. But here, too, the choice of thickener plays a certain role. The object of the present invention was to develop oxidative hair lightening agents,In particular, bleaching agents or agents for oxidative color change, with biodegradable complexing agents, which, in terms of their bleaching performance, are as superior as possible to the bleaching or lightening agents known from the prior art. Furthermore, the bleaching agents should have sufficiently high stability and not heat up excessively, even when applied to hair with a higher metal or heavy metal content. It was also the object of the present invention to provide oxidative hair lightening agents, in particular bleaching agents or agents for oxidative color change, which are optimally suited for application at the hairline, i.e., near the scalp. On the one hand, the bleaching agent must be strong enough to damage the undamaged,To effectively lighten the roots of hair that is stable and therefore particularly difficult to lighten. On the other hand, the skin irritation potential of the ready-to-use bleaching agent must be kept as low as possible, since at least small amounts of the product can inevitably come into contact with the scalp when applied to the roots. To achieve this, the ready-to-use product should develop a creamy, compact consistency and form a crust after application. Furthermore, the volume development during the preparation of the ready-to-use bleaching agent should be minimized. This is particularly important for the application of the product with the aid of foils to achieve highlights. The ingredients used should be as ecologically sustainable as possible. Surprisingly, these objects were achieved by the subject matter of the claims. The complexing agents b) are described as biodegradable and therefore represent an ecologically advantageous replacement for HEDP and EDTA. Keratin-containing or keratinic fibers are understood according to the invention to mean, in particular, human hair, but also fur, wool, and feathers. Chemically, they can be differentiated according to the position of their amino group relative to the carboxyl group. If the amino group on the Calpha atom is directly adjacent to the terminal carboxyl group, this is called alpha-position (Į-position) and the term "alpha-amino acids" is used. If the amino group is on the Cbeta atom, as seen from the terminal carboxyl group, this is called beta-position (E-position) and the term "beta-amino acids" is used. Alpha-amino acids and beta-amino acids with a total number of carbon atoms from C2-C20, more preferably from C2-C15, and most preferably from C2-C10 are preferred. In a further particularly preferred embodiment, an agent according to the invention is characterized in that it contains at least one amino acid (c) from the group consisting of arginine, serine, histidine, lysine, asparagine, glutamine, cysteine, methionine, tryptophan, alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, proline, threonine, tyrosine, valine and taurine, the salts of the aforementioned amino acids and mixtures of these substances. For example, arginine occurs in the form of L-arginine and D-arginine. Both the L-form of an amino acid and its D-form, as well as mixtures thereof, are encompassed by the present invention. Within the scope of the present invention, both possible enantiomers can therefore be used equally as a specific compound or as mixtures thereof, particularly as racemates. Polyquaternium-4 is hydroxyethylcellulose quaternized with diallyldimethylammonium chloride (INCI: Polyquaternium-4). Surprisingly, it has been found that polyquaternium-4 can further optimize the swelling behavior of oxidative hair lightening agents preferred according to the invention after mixing with an aqueous hydrogen peroxide preparation. Polyquaternium-4 is particularly preferably present in a total amount of 0.01 to 3.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 1.0 wt.%, particularly preferably 0.1 to 0.7 wt.%, extremely preferably 0.3-0.5 wt.%, in each case based on the weight of the oxidative hair lightening agent. For the melanin-degrading effect of hydrogen peroxide and the bleaching effect on the keratinic fiber, it is advantageous if the application mixture of hydrogen peroxide solution and persalt-containing hair lightening agent has an alkaline pH in the range from 8.0 to 11.5, preferably in the range from 8.5 to 11.0, particularly preferably 9.0 - 10.5, extraordinarily preferably 9.5 - 10.3, in each case measured at 20°C. To set an alkaline pH of the lightening application mixture, preferred oxidative hair lightening agents according to the invention can contain, in addition to the at least one persalt, at least one powdered alkalizing agent in such a total amount that the application mixture of the oxidative hair lightening agent according to the invention and the hydrogen peroxide solution has the desired alkaline pH.Alternatively, a third composition containing one or more alkalizing agents in an amount such that the application mixture has an alkaline pH in the range from 8.0 to 11.5, preferably in the range from 8.5 to 11.0, particularly preferably 9.0 to 10.5, extraordinarily preferably 9.5 to 10.3, in each case measured at 20°C. The following examples illustrate the subject matter of the invention without limiting it thereto. Experimental Part 1. Investigations on heat development Table 1: Bleaching powder (all amounts in wt.%). Table 2: Developer containing oxidizing agent (all quantities in wt.%) Each of the bleaching powders from Table 1 was mixed with the hydrogen peroxide-containing oil-in-water emulsion from Table 2 in a 1:1 weight ratio in a mixing bowl. The temperature profile in the bleaching agent mixture in the mixing bowl was measured at regular intervals. The results are shown in Table 5. The temperature profile in the bleaching agent mixture was measured at regular intervals. The results are shown in Table 3. Table 3: Temperature profile [Temperature in °C] The ready-to-use bleaching agent mixture V2, which contains ammonium chloride, heats up significantly more slowly and to a significantly lower temperature than the ready-to-use bleaching agent mixture V1 without ammonium chloride. Replacing the complexing agent Na2-EDTA, not used according to the invention, with the complexing agent Na3-MGDA (Na3-MGDS), used according to the invention, leads to a further reduction in the mixing temperature. The experimental setup described above, with the temperature determination in the mixing bowl, systematically underestimates the temperature development on the hair. Hair is often exposed to heavy metal ions, particularly copper ions from tap water, which catalyze heat development. Therefore, even slight heat tints, i.e., reductions in heat development, in the mixing bowl are important to achieve a significant improvement in the heat tint on the hair. 2.Hair lightening procedure Table 4: Developer containing oxidizing agent for bleaching powder (all quantities in % by weight). Each of the bleaching powders from Table 1 was mixed with the hydrogen peroxide-containing oil-in-water emulsion according to Table 4 in a mixing bowl at a weight ratio of 1:1.5 (2 parts by weight of bleaching powder and 3 parts by weight of H2O2 developer) to form a ready-to-use bleaching agent. The ready-to-use bleaching agents each had a pH of 9.5, measured at 20°C. The respective ready-to-use bleaching agent was applied to dry hair strands of shade 6-0 (light brown, Fischbach & Miller) (liquor ratio of 4 grams of ready-to-use bleaching agent per gram of hair) and rinsed out after 45 minutes of contact time. The strands were then shampooed and dried. 3. Swelling Behavior Tests Table 4: Bleaching Powder (all quantities in wt.%) Table 5: Developer containing oxidizing agent Each of the bleaching powders from Table 4 was mixed with the hydrogen peroxide-containing oil-in-water emulsion according to Table 5 in a 1:1 weight ratio in a mixing bowl and poured into a measuring cylinder. The volume of the ready-to-use bleaching agent mixture was measured at regular intervals. The results are shown in Table 6: Table 6: Volume change over time of the ready-to-use bleaching agent mixture [ml] By adding ammonium chloride (E2, E3) or potassium chloride (E4), the unwanted foaming of the ready-to-use bleaching agent mixture during the application time on the hair was significantly reduced. A salt such as calcium chloride hexahydrate (V5) did not achieve a similar effect.
