Abstract

Provided is a juicer accessory (100) for a handheld kitchen appliance having a motorized drive system (202) for driving rotation of a food blending member (204). The juicer accessory comprises a container lid (102) for closing a container (104), and a filter insert (106) for inserting into the container. The filter insert delimits a space (108) for receiving food and the food blending member. The juicer accessory further comprises a drive transfer assembly (110) configured to, while the container remains closed by the container lid, couple the motorized drive system to the food blending member received in the space and to the filter insert inserted into the container to enable rotation of the food blending member within the space and rotation of the filter insert within the container. The drive transfer assembly is detachable from the container together with the container lid. Further provided is a juicer (200) comprising the juicer accessory, and a method of juicing using such a juicer accessory.
