Description

[0001] HIGH-PRESSURE CLEANING DEVICE

[0002] The invention relates to a high-pressure cleaning device with a chassis on which impellers are rotatably mounted, and with a motor pump unit which has a pump for pressurising water and a motor for driving the pump, and with a fuel-operated instantaneous water heater for heating the water and a fuel tank for storing liquid fuel for the instantaneous water heater, and with a control device for controlling the motor and a support frame as a supporting structure.

[0003] Such high-pressure cleaning devices allow water to be pressurized using a pump and heated using a heatable instantaneous water heater. The heated and pressurized water can be directed onto an object to be cleaned. The instantaneous water heater is typically powered by a liquid fuel, such as heating oil or diesel fuel, and may have a coiled tube heated by a burner through which the water is passed. The liquid fuel for operating the instantaneous water heater is stored in a fuel tank. A control unit is used to control the motor that drives the pump. Such high-pressure cleaning devices have a support frame as the supporting structure.This gives the high-pressure cleaning devices a high level of mechanical stability, so that they can be operated reliably even under harsh environmental conditions, such as those found on construction sites.

[0004] A high-pressure cleaning device of the type mentioned above is known from WO 2020 / 052938 A1. In this high-pressure cleaning device, the fuel tank is designed as a one-piece hollow plastic body that forms an engine mounting part into which the engine can be inserted. The object of the present invention is to further develop a high-pressure cleaning device of the type mentioned above in such a way that it can be manufactured more cost-effectively while maintaining high mechanical strength.

[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention in a high-pressure cleaning device of the generic type in that the fuel tank is arranged laterally next to the motor pump unit and the control device is positioned on a support element arranged above the motor pump unit at a distance from the latter, which support element can be detachably connected to the fuel tank and to a holding part of the support frame.

[0006] The fuel tank of the high-pressure cleaning device according to the invention is designed as a component that is arranged laterally next to the motor pump unit. This simplifies the assembly of the motor pump unit and the fuel tank, whereby the fuel tank can have a relatively simple design. The fuel tank is detachably connected to a holding part of the support frame via a support element. This ensures, in a structurally simple manner, that the fuel tank does not slip accidentally. In addition to securing the fuel tank, the support element also serves as a support for the control device, which is positioned on the support element. The support element is arranged above the motor pump unit and at a distance from it. This makes it possible to reduce the thermal load on the support element and the control device positioned on the support element caused by the waste heat from the motor pump unit.In particular, it can be provided that cooling air can flow between the motor pump unit and the support element. The high-pressure cleaning device according to the invention is thus characterized overall by simple assembly and cost-effective manufacture, while also having a high mechanical load capacity. It is advantageous if the support element is plate-shaped. Configuring the support element in the form of a support plate gives the support element a particularly high mechanical load capacity and simplifies its assembly.

[0007] It can be provided that the support element consists of metal, in particular of a sheet metal part.

[0008] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support element has a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion, wherein the first end portion is detachably connectable to the fuel tank and the second end portion is detachably connectable to the holding part. The support part thus extends from the fuel tank arranged laterally next to the motor pump unit, across the motor pump unit, to the holding part of the support frame, wherein it is detachably connected to both the fuel tank and the support frame. For example, it can be provided that the support element is screwable to the fuel tank and to the holding part.

[0009] The holding part advantageously forms a cross member aligned perpendicular to a main direction of movement of the high-pressure cleaning device.

[0010] Preferably, in a plan view of the high-pressure cleaning device, the holding part is arranged behind the motor pump unit with respect to its main direction of movement, and the fuel tank is positioned in front of the motor pump unit to the side next to the motor pump unit with respect to the main direction of movement.

[0011] The control device preferably has a control housing for accommodating at least one control element, for example, a switching element. The control housing has a lower housing part that can be releasably connected to the support element and an upper housing part that can be releasably connected to the lower housing part. It can be provided that the upper housing part can be screwed or latched to the lower housing part.

[0012] It proves to be advantageous if the support frame has a front frame section with respect to the main direction of movement of the high-pressure cleaning device, wherein the fuel tank is arranged between the front frame section and the motor pump unit.

[0013] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, particularly simple assembly of the fuel tank is achieved in that the fuel tank can be inserted into the space between the front frame section of the support frame and the motor pump unit in an assembly direction oriented perpendicular to the main direction of movement.

[0014] It is advantageous if the fuel tank can be inserted into the space between the front frame section of the support frame and the motor pump unit, forming a positive connection. For example, it can be provided that the fuel tank forms a positive connection with the front frame section on its front side facing the front frame section. If necessary, e.g. for servicing purposes, the fuel tank can be easily pulled out perpendicular to the main direction of movement from the space between the front frame section of the support frame and the motor pump unit, after the detachable connection between the support element and the fuel tank has been released. After the fuel tank has been removed from the space between the front frame section and the motor pump unit, service measures can be carried out on the motor pump unit, for example an oil change.

[0015] It is particularly advantageous if the front section of the support frame forms a frontal impact protection for the high-pressure cleaner. This reduces the risk of damage, particularly to the fuel tank, in the event of an accidental impact with an obstacle.

[0016] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, two longitudinal frame sections arranged at a distance from one another are connected to the front frame section of the support frame opposite to the main direction of movement, each of which forms a longitudinal impact protection for the high-pressure cleaning device.

[0017] It is advantageous if the support frame has a rear frame section that is U-shaped and has two vertically aligned legs in a horizontal operating position of the high-pressure cleaning device, each of which is rigidly connected to a longitudinal frame section, as well as a web that rigidly connects the two legs. The retaining part extends between the two legs and is rigidly connected to them. This design provides the support frame with particularly high mechanical strength.

[0018] It is advantageous if the motor pump unit, the fuel tank, and the control unit are arranged between the front frame section and the rear frame section of the support frame, as viewed from above. This allows for a particularly compact design of the high-pressure cleaning device.

[0019] The instantaneous water heater is advantageously arranged behind the rear frame section of the support frame with respect to the main direction of movement of the high-pressure cleaning device.

[0020] It is advantageous if a U-shaped handle is attached to the rear section of the support frame, facing away from the main direction of movement of the high-pressure cleaner. This handle surrounds the instantaneous water heater and is rigidly connected to the rear section of the support frame. It is advantageous if the handle is detachably connected to the rear section of the frame. This detachable connection can be achieved, for example, using connecting screws.

[0021] It is advantageous if the handle bar has two bar legs, each connected to a leg of the rear frame section, and whose end regions facing away from the rear frame section are rigidly connected to each other via a bar web. The bar web can form a handle.

[0022] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the high-pressure cleaning device comprises a hood that at least partially covers the motor pump unit and the control device and that is detachably connectable to the holding part and an end region of the support element facing away from the holding part. In such an embodiment of the invention, the support element serves not only to secure the fuel tank and the control device but also to secure the hood, which at least partially covers the motor pump unit and the control device. This allows for particularly simple assembly of the high-pressure cleaning device according to the invention.

[0023] It is advantageous if the hood has an opening through which the user has access to a control panel with at least one control element of the control device.

[0024] The following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention, in conjunction with the drawings, serves to explain the invention in more detail. They show:

[0025] Figure 1: a perspective view of a high-pressure cleaning device;

[0026] Figure 2: a plan view of the high-pressure cleaning device of Figure 1; Figure 3: a partial sectional view of the high-pressure cleaning device of Figure 1 taken along line 3-3 in Figure 2;

[0027] Figure 4: a perspective view of the high-pressure cleaning device from Figure 1, with its hood raised;

[0028] Figure 5: a perspective view of the high-pressure cleaning device from Figure 1, with its hood and control device raised;

[0029] Figure 6: an enlarged view of detail X from Figure 5.

[0030] The drawing schematically shows an advantageous embodiment of a high-pressure cleaning device according to the invention, which is designated overall by the reference numeral 10.

[0031] The high-pressure cleaning device 10 is designed to be movable. For this purpose, it has two wheels 12, 14 and a castor 16, which are rotatably mounted on a chassis 18. A main direction of movement of the high-pressure cleaning device 10 is illustrated by arrow 20 in Figures 1, 2, and 5.

[0032] The chassis 18 is formed by a base plate 22 which is screwed to a support frame 24. The support frame 24 has a front frame section 26 with respect to the main direction of movement 20, which is U-shaped and projects upwards from the base plate 22. Adjoining the front frame section 26, opposite to the main direction of movement 20, are a first longitudinal frame section 28 and a second longitudinal frame section 30 arranged at a distance from the first longitudinal frame section 28, which are integrally connected to the front frame section 26. Adjoining the two longitudinal frame sections 28, 30 are each a connecting section 32 or 33 facing away from the front frame section 26.34, which is integrally connected to the respective longitudinal frame section 28, 30 and to which a leg 36 or 38 of a rear frame section 40 of the support frame 24 is integrally connected, said leg being oriented vertically upwards in the horizontal position of use of the high-pressure cleaning device 10 shown in the drawing. The two legs 36, 38 are integrally connected to one another via a web 42 of the rear frame section 40 oriented transversely to the main direction of movement 20.

[0033] Adjoining the rear frame section 40, opposite the main direction of movement 20, is a U-shaped handle bar 44, which is oriented essentially horizontally and has two bar legs 46, 48 and a bar web 50 oriented transversely to the main direction of movement 20, via which the two bar legs 46, 48 are integrally connected to one another. Adjoining the ends of the bar legs 46, 48 facing away from the bar web 50 are a bar connecting section 52 and 54, respectively. The bar connecting sections 52, 54 are each screwed to a leg 36 and 38, respectively, of the rear frame section 40.

[0034] A bracket 56 is arranged on the base plate 22 between the front frame section 26 and the rear frame section 40. The bracket supports a motor pump unit 58. The motor pump unit 58 has an electric motor 60 whose longitudinal axis 62 is oriented transversely to the main direction of movement 20 and which drives a pump 64 and a blower 66. The electric motor 60 is arranged between the pump 64 and the blower 66.

[0035] In the area between the motor pump unit 58 and the front frame section 26, a fuel tank 68 is positioned laterally next to the motor pump unit 58. The fuel tank 68 serves to store a liquid fuel, for example heating oil or diesel fuel, with the aid of which a continuous-flow heater 70 arranged behind the rear frame section 40 with respect to the main direction of movement 20 can be operated. By means of the pump 64, water can be pressurized, which can then be heated by the continuous-flow heater 70, wherein combustion air can be supplied to the continuous-flow heater 70 by means of the fan 66. The continuous-flow heater 70 can, in the usual way, have a coiled tube which is heated by a burner and through which the water pressurized by the pump 64 is passed in order to heat the water.The pressurized heated water can then be directed at an object to be cleaned in the usual way.

[0036] For assembly, the fuel tank 68 can be inserted into the space between the motor pump unit 58 and the front frame section 26 in an assembly direction oriented perpendicular to the main direction of movement 20, which is illustrated in Figures 1, 2 and 5 by the arrow 72, and for servicing purposes, the fuel tank 68 can also be removed from the space again if necessary.

[0037] A holding part 74 of the support frame 24 extends between the two legs 36, 38 of the rear frame section 40, below its web 42. The holding part 74 is integrally connected to the legs 36, 38 of the rear frame section 40. Extending between the holding part 74 and the fuel tank 68 is a plate-shaped support element 76, which is designed as a sheet metal and has a first end section 78 facing the fuel tank 68 and a second end section 80 opposite the first end section 78 and facing the holding part 74. The first end section 78 rests on an upper side 86 of the fuel tank 68 and forms a first connecting tab 82 and a second connecting tab 84.The fuel tank 68 has on its upper side 86 a third connecting tab 88 assigned to the first connecting tab 82 of the support element 76, which can be screwed to the first connecting tab 82 by means of a detachable connecting screw 90. This is particularly clear from Figure 6. The second connecting tab 84 of the support element 76 serves for the detachable connection to a hood 92 of the high-pressure cleaning device 10. This will be explained in more detail below. The second end section 80 of the support element 76 rests on an upper side 94 of the holding part 74 and can be screwed to the holding part 74 by means of connecting screws 96, 98. This is particularly clear from Figure 6.

[0038] The plate-shaped support element 76 is arranged above the motor pump unit 58 and at a distance from it. A control device 100 of the high-pressure cleaning device 10 is positioned on the support element 76. The control device 100 has a control housing 102 with a lower housing part 104 and an upper housing part 106. The upper housing part 106 is placed on the lower housing part 104 and locked thereto. A control element 108 for controlling the electric motor 60 is arranged in the control housing 102. The control element 108 is connected to the electric motor 60 via a connecting cable (not shown in the drawing).

[0039] The lower housing part 104 of the control housing 102 is detachably connected to the support element 76 by means of several connecting screws, wherein a connecting screw designated by the reference numeral 110 can be seen in Figure 3.

[0040] The housing lower part 104 has a bottom wall 112, as is clear from Figure 3. The bottom wall 112 has a recess 114 that extends through an opening 116 in the support element 76 and forms a positive connection therewith.

[0041] The upper housing part 106 of the control housing 102 has a top wall 118 forming a control panel 120 on which a control element 122 is arranged, which in the illustrated embodiment is designed as a switch button. Using the control element 122, the user can switch the electric motor 60 on and off. Furthermore, the control element 122 serves to select an operating mode of the electric motor 60.

[0042] As already mentioned, the high-pressure cleaning device 10 has a hood 92. The hood 92 can be placed on the control housing 102 and covers the electric motor 60 and, with the inclusion of the control panel 120, also the control housing 102. The control panel 120 is accessible to the user via an opening 124 in the hood 92.

[0043] The hood 92 has an end wall 126, which can be screwed to the aforementioned second connecting tab 84 of the first end section 78 of the support element 76. On the side of the opening 124 facing away from the end wall 126, the hood 92 forms a recess 128, which forms a receiving space for accessories of the high-pressure cleaning device 10. A bottom wall 132 of the recess 128 can be detachably connected to the holding part 74 by means of connecting screws 134, 136. This is clearly shown in Figures 2 and 3.

[0044] The high-pressure cleaning device 10 is characterized by a compact design and can be manufactured and assembled cost-effectively. The rigid, plate-shaped support element 76 allows the control device 100 to be positioned above the motor pump unit 58 and at a distance from it in a structurally simple manner, while simultaneously enabling easy attachment of the fuel tank 78 transversely to the main direction of movement 20, as well as attachment of the end wall 126 of the hood 92. As is particularly clear from Figure 3, the fuel tank 68 forms a positive connection with the front frame section 26, which supports the attachment of the fuel tank 68 between the motor pump unit 58 and the front frame section 26.
