AI Technical Summary
Current systems lack a reliable mechanism to ensure that tail lifts on twindeck-style load carrying vehicles are fully closed after loading, leading to potential accidents and loss of life and property due to the dependence on human intervention for safety confirmation.
A system comprising a distance sensor on the tail lift that sends a signal to a relay when fully closed, triggering a visual and audible warning for the driver, ensuring the tail lift is securely closed before driving.
This solution provides a systematic and reliable method to confirm the tail lift is fully closed, reducing the risk of accidents by eliminating human error and ensuring safe driving conditions.

Abstract
Description
[0001] A Safety System Developed for Load Carrying Vehicles
[0002] Technical Field
[0003] This invention relates to a system that checks whether the tail lifts used for loading cargo in twindeck-style load carrying vehicles are fully closed after the loading process is completed, thereby preventing the loss of life and property caused by loading and ensuring safe driving.
[0004] State of the Art
[0005] Trailers are vehicles designed and manufactured according to the characteristics of the load it will carry and towed by a motor vehicle. Trailers are equipped with at least one axle and are coupled to the vehicles they are being towed by with a coupling device such as drawbar, pivot plate, hook, kingpin etc. Trailers are road vehicles for load carrying, and semi-trailers are classified as O1 , 02, 03, 04 according to the road regulations.
[0006] Trailer vehicles are optionally equipped with tail lifts for loading from rear door. In Twindeck vehicles, on the other hand, the tail lifts also serve as doors. These tail lifts are controlled manually and are closed by folding by means of cylinders with a hydraulic system. In some cases, the tail lifts may not be fully closed. This can lead to serious hazards while driving. Driving the vehicle with open doors may cause loss of life and property.
[0007] In the current system, the information that the tail lift is closed is provided to the driver in the cabin by the loading staff. The driver does not receive any system signal. There is no hardware environment that informs that the tail lifts are fully closed, and the vehicle can safely start its journey. This causes a fault-prone condition as the working environment depends on a person. When there are not enough security measures, serious problems may occur.
[0008] In the patent application document with number CN102534029A, which is available in the state of the art, a front panel protection wall that would prevent damage caused by a material that may hit to the front panel during loading or braking in trailer-type vehicles has been described. However, in the relevant application document, there is no reference to a structure that controls whether the tail lifts used for loading in trailer and twindeck-style vehicles are fully closed after the loading process is completed.
[0009] As a result, due to shortcoming of the existing solutions to meet current requirements, an improvement was needed in related technical field.
[0010] Brief Description of the Invention
[0011] The invention is inspired by the current situations and aims to solve the above-mentioned issues and challenges.
[0012] The object of the invention is to offer a system that controls whether the tail lifts used for loading in trailer and twindeck-style vehicles are fully closed after the loading process is completed.
[0013] In the invention, in order to achieve this purpose, a distance sensor placed on the tail lift detects that the tail lift is fully closed. The distance sensor sends a signal to a relay located on the vehicle when the door is fully closed and makes the relay to be pulled. When the relay is pulled, its contacts change and a warning light, which is placed on the trailer at a point that can be easily seen by the driver, starts flashing. Simultaneously, an audible warning is activated. When the driver sees the flashing of the lamp and hears the audible warning he understands that the tail lift is fully closed and starts driving safely. If the driver does not receive any visual and audible notification before driving the vehicle, they realize that the tail lift was not fully closed and re-check the current situation. In this way, possible accidents are prevented.
[0014] Structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood more clearly through the image provided below and by references made to this image; therefore, it is required to make evaluations by considering this image and detailed explanation.

[0022] Detailed Description of the Invention
[0023] In this detailed explanation, the preferred configurations of the system (1 ) that is the subject of the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject.
[0024] This invention relates to a system (1) that checks whether the tail lifts used for loading cargo in twindeck-style load carrying vehicles are fully closed after the loading process is completed, thereby preventing the loss of life and property caused by loading and ensuring safe driving.
[0025] The system (1 ) (the invention), schematic illustration of which is given in Figure 1 , comprises:
[0026] ❖ an audible warning unit that warns the driver of a load carrying vehicle audibly (2),
[0027] ❖ a visual warning unit (3) placed in a position where the driver can see and allows the driver to be visually warned,
[0028] ❖ a distance detection sensor (4) placed on the door of the tail lift, which serves as both the rear door of the vehicle and a tail lift in loading / unloading situations, has a magnet that changes position when the tail lift closes or opens, detects this situation by means of the magnet when the door of the tail lift closes completely, and sends an electrical warning signal after this, and
[0029] ❖ a relay (5) that closes its contacts when it receives an electrical signal from the distance sensor (4), provides an electrical output signal for a certain period (ex. 15 seconds) after closing its contacts, activates the audio warning unit (2) and visual warning unit (3) with the transmitted electrical output signal, provides audio and visual warning to the driver, and stops transmission of the electrical output signal by opening its contacts when the defined time expires.
[0030] With this system (1), the information that the tail lift in the load carrying vehicle is closed is transmitted to the driver by visual and audible warnings. In this way, the controls cease to depend on any person and a systematic protection is ensured. With this system (1), the driver starts driving more safely with these signals they received before launching the vehicle off. Protection is ensured against any accident risk that may occur in the system (1). There is a distance detection sensor (4) on the tail lift. The magnet located in the distance detection sensor (4) changes its position when the tail lift is closed or opened. In this way, status information is received and transmitted.
[0031] The time relay (5) is pulled by means of the electrical signal received from the distance detection sensor (4). During the set period, the relay (5) provides an electrical output signal. In this way, the visual warning unit (3) in the vehicle, which is a type of a flasher- enabled lamp, starts flashing. When the set period expires, the relay (5) cuts off the output signal and the visual warning unit (3) turns off. The relay (5) outputs for a period defined as 15 seconds, and then stops issuing outputs.
[0032] The audial warning unit (2) runs simultaneously with the visual warning unit (3). The connection of the audial warning is also the same with that of the flashing lamp. When the signal from the time relay (5) is received, the audial warning unit (2), which is a type of buzzer, begins to issue warnings. When the set period expires, the time relay (5) cuts off the output signal and the audial warning unit (2) turns off.
