[0001] The invention generally belongs to the field of ventilation systems. More specifically, the invention relates to a mounting element for fastening of a mechanical fan for a roof ventilation device and a roof ventilation device. The invention is mainly used in mechanical ventilation systems for the discharge of used air.Background art

[0027] Technical aspects of a mounting element for fastening of a mechanical fan to a roof ventilation device, also called a roof fan or a ventilation chimney, according to one of the preferred embodiments will be explained with reference to Figs. 1-3.

[0028] A mounting element comprises a central section 3 with a mounting socket 7 on the bottom side and fastening holes 8, an annular section 1 surrounding the central section 3 and guide vanes 2 which connect the central section 3 to the annular section 1. The central section 3 has the shape of a circular plate or a disc. The annular section 1 is in the form of a rim. The axis of the central section 3 is located in the axis of the annular section 1. The guide vanes 2 connect the central section 3 to the annular section 1 in an inseparable manner.

By appropriately setting the guide vanes 2, it is possible to control the speed and pressure of the air entering the roof ventilation device - this directly affects the efficiency and effectiveness of the device. The guide vanes 2 may also act as cooling elements, guiding the cooling air to the place where the mechanical fan is located, in order to maintain the optimal operating temperature.

[0031] The mounting socket 7 of the central section 3 comprises fastening holes 8 for fastening of the mechanical fan 12. Depending on the type and model of the mechanical fan 12, the fastening holes 8 are arranged in the mounting socket 7 in such a way that they correspond to the given model of the mechanical fan 12, therefore their number and spacing may vary.

[0032] In the mounting socket 7 there is preferably a shaped recess 9 in a circular shape intended for mounting the mechanical fan 12. Depending on the type and model of the fan 12, the recess 9 may have a different diameter and may be arranged so as to fit the given model. [0034] The annular section 1 preferably has a cable grommet 5, which can be clearly seen in Fig. 1-3. The cable grommet 5 comprises an opening in the annular section 1 with a trough facing downwards. The cable grommet 5 is used to route an electric cable providing power supply to the electric motor of the fan 12. The cable grommet 5 is aligned with the cable opening 22 made in the internal flange of the housing 13. After assembling all the components of the roof ventilation device, a uniform and tight wiring duct is created, which provides protection of the cables against external factors, such as moisture, dust or mechanical damage. By hiding the wires inside the duct, the risk of them getting tangled or accidentally damaged is eliminated, and the whole thing maintains a consistent and neat appearance. The wiring duct also facilitates installation and servicing by providing quick access to the cables.

[0035] The central section 3 acts also as a mounting box, shown in Fig. 3, for mounting electrical / electronic components 18, which are placed in the mounting space 16 located on the upper side of the central section 3. The electrical / electronic components 18 are protected by a cover 19 attached to the central section 3 by means of screws and mounting tags 6 with threaded holes arranged around the circumference of the central section 3. For protection against weather conditions (such as rain, snow or moisture), a gasket 17 is preferably fitted between the edge of the mounting space 16 and the edge of the cover 19.

The mounting element 11 is attached to the mechanical fan 12. The unit thus assembled is inserted from above into the housing 13 with the fan 12 downward and secured to said housing 13. Then the dome 10 with rings is mounted from above.

Additionally, the housing may include a guide wedge 20 that cooperates with a guide groove 15 made in the outer surface of the annular section 1. The guide wedge 20 and the guide groove 15 ensure precise positioning of the mounting element 11. At the same time, they minimize the risk of incorrect positioning and displacement of the mounting element 13 relative to the housing 13.

Claims

1. A mounting element for fastening of a mechanical fan for a roof ventilation device, comprising: a central section (3) with a mounting socket (7) for mounting the mechanical fan (12) and with mounting holes (8), an annular section (1) surrounding the central section (3), characterized in that the mounting element comprises guide vanes (2) connecting the central section (3) to the annular section (1).

2. The mounting element according to claim 1, wherein the guide vane (2) is made up of two parallel surfaces, a concave surface and a convex surface.

3. The mounting element according to either claim 1 or 2, wherein the guide vane (2) is made up of two flat surfaces parallel to each other.

4. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 3, wherein an angle of inclination (α) of the guide vane (2) is in the range of 30° - 60°, preferably the angle is 45.5°.

5. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 4, wherein it contains at least four guide vanes (2), preferably eight guide vanes (2).

6. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 5, wherein the guide vanes (2) are spaced equidistantly from each other around the axis of the annular section (1).

7. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 6, wherein the central section (3) is in the shape of a round plate or a disk.

8. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 7, wherein the annular section (1) has on its outer surface an axially extending guide wedge (15) cooperating with a guide groove (20) formed in an inner surface of a housing (13).

The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 8, wherein it comprises a cable grommet (5) comprising an opening in the annular section (1) with a trough being downwardly directed and configured to accommodate an electric cable providing power supply to an electric motor of the mechanical fan (12).

10. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 9, wherein the central section (3) comprises at least two fastening elements (6) configured for connecting further components of a roof ventilation device, preferably a cover of an impeller of the mechanical fan (12).

11. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 10, wherein it is made of plastic or metal.

12. The mounting element according to any preceding claim 1 to 11, wherein a mounting box is provided on an upper side of the central section, comprising a mounting space (16) for electrical / electronic components (18), a gasket (17) and a cover (19).

13. A roof ventilation device comprising a housing (13), a mechanical ventilator (12) and a dome (10), wherein a mounting element (11) according to any claim 1 to 12 is attached from above to the mechanical fan (12).

14. The roof ventilation device according to claim 13, wherein the housing (13) comprises support points (21) on the inner side for positioning the mounting element (11) relative to the housing (13) and the dome (10).

15. The roof ventilation device according to either claim 13 or 14, wherein the housing (13) comprises a support tab (23) which cooperates with a snap-fit opening in the side surface of the dome (10).
