Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a carriage arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1 for moving, lowering and raising a lifting-sliding element, wherein the carriage arrangement has a centering aid in the form of a mounting template, by means of which the carriage arrangement can be properly centered in the profile groove of the frame profile of a sash frame.

[0002] A generic carriage arrangement is essentially described, for example, in the publications DE 10 2018 124 778 A1 or DE 10 2021 123 034 A1.

[0003] These types of carriage assemblies are used to raise and lower lift-and-slide elements, such as large patio doors or windows. Typically, these carriage assemblies are housed in a profile groove that runs along the underside of the frame profile of a sash, so that the carriage assembly is not visible from the outside. The carriage assembly is attached either to the bottom of the profile groove or to a steel reinforcement that extends into a hollow chamber of the sash frame adjacent to the groove base. The carriage assembly should be positioned and mounted centrally within the profile groove, otherwise the sash frame would not be plumb.Furthermore, if the carriage assembly is mounted off-center in the profile groove, this could lead to constraints in the carriage assembly and to an eccentric load on it if the carriage assembly rests on the running rail with its rollers.

[0004] However, properly centering the carriage assembly in the profile groove can be particularly difficult if the base part of the carriage assembly does not have a shape complementary to the profile groove, which would allow the base part, and thus the carriage assembly, to be positioned in only one precisely defined position within the profile groove. For example, the profile groove may have a clear width that is larger than the transverse or outer dimension of the carriage frame. In this case, the carriage assembly may have to be positioned and mounted off-center in the profile groove and, moreover, slightly tilted relative to the vertical.

[0005] The invention is therefore based on the objective of reliably ensuring proper installation in the profile groove of the frame profile of a wing frame in the case of a carriage arrangement of the generic type.

[0006] This problem is solved by a carriage arrangement having the features of claim 1 and in particular by supporting a centering aid in the form of a mounting template on the upper side of the first support foot facing the base part, which serves to facilitate the mounting of the base part in the profile groove of the sash frame and which is designed to at least partially bridge a gap between the upper side of the first support foot and the lower side of the sash frame in which the profile groove is formed.

[0007] Because the first support foot carries the mounting template on its upper surface facing the base part, and this template at least partially bridges the gap between the first support foot and the underside of the sash frame where the profile groove is formed, any play between the first support foot and the underside of the sash frame is eliminated or at least reduced by the mounting template. This play would otherwise—i.e., without the mounting template according to the invention—allow for a slightly inclined and / or off-center mounting of the carriage assembly in the profile groove. Thus, thanks to the mounting template, a tilt-free mounting of the carriage assembly in the profile groove can be ensured. Accordingly, no uneven stress can occur on the carriage assembly when it rests on the guide rail with its rollers.

[0008] The support foot serves, among other things, to align the sash frame with the track when the lift-and-slide element is in the lowered position. For this purpose, a groove-like channel can be formed in the underside of the support foot, which, when the sash frame is lowered, receives the track or a web extending vertically from it, thus aligning and centering the sash frame with the track in the lowered position. Therefore, the support foot can also be described as a centering foot, according to its function.

[0009] If the sash frame is formed by an aluminum profile, then in this case, when the lift-and-slide element is in the lowered position, a portion of the sash frame's weight can be transferred to the track via the first support, thus giving the support foot a supporting function. Furthermore, because the mounting template bridges any vertical gap between the top of the first support foot and the bottom of the sash frame, a portion of the sash frame's weight can also be indirectly transferred to the first support foot via the mounting template.

[0010] The mounting template thus not only ensures a vertical installation of the carriage assembly in the profile groove, but also achieves an even load distribution on the carriage assembly, since the vertical installation of the carriage assembly in the profile groove ensures that the weight of the sash frame is not transferred off-center to the carriage assembly when it rests on the running rail with its rollers.

[0011] Preferred embodiments of the invention will now be discussed. Further embodiments may also be apparent from the dependent claims, the description of the figures, and the drawings themselves.

[0012] The base component can thus include a second support with a free end, on which a second support or centering foot is provided. This foot aligns the sash frame with respect to the track when the lift-and-slide element is lowered. The mounting template is also supported on the upper side of the second support foot facing the base component and is designed to at least partially bridge the gap between the upper side of the second support foot and the underside of the sash frame, where the profile groove is formed.

[0013] To ensure that the carriage assembly can be centrally positioned and mounted in the profile groove of the frame profile of a sash frame, a further embodiment provides that the first and / or the second support foot comprises two cantilever sections oriented perpendicular to the direction of movement of the carriage assembly, which project transversely to the direction of movement of the carriage assembly from opposite sides of the respective support. The free end of each cantilever section forms a first chamfer towards the top of the respective support foot, against which the mounting template rests essentially over its entire surface via a second chamfer that is complementary to the first chamfer. Two of the second chamfers of the mounting template thus act together like a kind of funnel, since this not only aligns the carriage arrangement with respect to the vertical, but also forces it into a centrally located position within the profile groove.

[0014] According to a further embodiment, the centering aid may comprise two legs spaced apart from each other and running parallel to each other, wherein the second chamfers are formed on these legs, in particular on the side of each leg that faces the other leg.

[0015] To allow the mounting template to be handled as a single unit, a further embodiment provides that the two legs are connected transversely by at least one web, which bridges the gap between the two legs. The mounting template is thus a one-piece component that can be fixed to the carriage assembly before the carriage assembly is positioned in the profile groove, in order to ensure that the carriage assembly is properly centered in the profile groove.

[0016] The connecting element in question could, for example, be a central link connected to one of the two legs at a point between the second chamfers of that leg, and to the other leg at a point between the second chamfers of the other leg. However, the central link does not merely connect the two legs; rather, an inclined plane can be formed on the side of the central link facing the base, which serves to rest against an inclined guide of the lifting mechanism. The centering aid in the form of the mounting template thus fits complementarily with the inclined guide of the lifting mechanism, so that, in the lowered position of the lift-and-slide element, part of the weight of the sash frame can be transferred via the inclined guide to the central link of the mounting template and from there directly to the track. This type of load transfer can be particularly advantageous if the sash frame is formed by an aluminum profile, since in this case the weight of the sash frame in the lowered state can be transferred via the base part and especially via the supports to the running rail.

[0017] According to yet another embodiment, the central web may have two spaced-apart ribs on its side facing away from the base, running parallel to the two legs of the mounting template. These ribs preferably together define a groove or channel with a substantially U-shaped cross-section. In the lowered position of the lift-and-slide element, this U-shaped groove receives the guide rail or a vertically extending web of the guide rail, thereby securing the lift-and-slide element against forces acting perpendicularly on it, such as wind forces on the guide rail. Likewise, because the U-shaped groove receives the vertical web of the guide rail, it effectively prevents the lift-and-slide element from being forcibly pried off the guide rail, for example, during a break-in attempt.

[0018] To prevent the two legs of the mounting template from spreading apart due to the funnel effect of the chamfers, the legs can also be transversely connected at their first ends by a side or end web. At their second ends, opposite the first ends of the two legs, the legs are not connected; instead, locking hooks can be formed at the second ends of the legs, projecting into the gap between the two legs. Since the two legs are not connected at their second ends, they can be spread apart at these ends during the mounting template's attachment to the carriage assembly, and then spring back elastically to their original configuration, in which the locking hooks engage behind one of the two supports. This secures the mounting template detachably to the carriage assembly and, in particular, to one of the support feet.

[0019] In order to mount the carriage assembly precisely in the center of the profile groove of the frame profile of a sash frame, a further embodiment provides a centering flange projecting from the side of each leg facing the base part. The clear width between the two centering flanges corresponds essentially to the distance between the outer surfaces of the carriage frame's cheeks, while the distance between the outer surfaces of the centering flanges corresponds essentially to the clear width of the profile groove, thus centering the carriage frame precisely in the profile groove.

[0020] As explained above, the base of the carriage can include two support feet, on the first chamfers of which the mounting template rests via secondary chamfers. Each leg thus has two secondary chamfers, located on either side of the central web connecting the two legs. One secondary chamfer of each leg can be bounded on one side by the central web and on the other by the respective locking hook located at the far end of the leg. The other secondary chamfer of each leg can be bounded on one side by the side web and on the other by a recess formed on the facing sides of the leg. The mounting template can therefore be placed on the two legs within the area of the recesses. The mounting template is placed over one of the two supports before being moved lengthwise along both legs. This causes the locking hooks to engage with the other support, so that as the mounting template is moved, the locking hooks spread apart. This allows the mounting template to be moved lengthwise into a position where the second chamfers of the mounting template rest against the first chamfers of the two support feet. In this position, the mounting template is reliably secured to the carriage assembly and, in particular, to one of the two supports by the locking hooks.

[0021] The invention will now be described below by way of example with reference to the drawing, in which: Fig. 1 shows a perspective bottom view of a carriage arrangement according to the invention before the application of a mounting template; Fig. 2 shows a sectional view through the lower frame profile of a sash frame including a carriage arrangement arranged in the profile groove; Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of the mounting template of a carriage arrangement according to the invention; Fig. 4 shows the mounting template of the Fig. 3 shown in a position rotated by 180°.

[0022] The following section will first refer to the perspective view from below. Fig. 1 The basic structure and function of the illustrated carriage assembly 10 are described. The carriage assembly 10 comprises a base part 12 with a substantially flat mounting plate 14, via which the base part 12 is mounted on the groove base 16 (see below). Fig. 2) can be attached to a profile groove 18 formed in the underside of a frame profile or to a steel reinforcement which extends in a hollow chamber adjacent to the groove base 16. In the specific case in the Fig. 2 In the illustrated embodiment, an opening, the details of which are not clearly visible, is formed in the groove base 16, through which the base part 12 extends, so that it is attached via its head plate 14 to a surface in the Fig. 2 can be attached to the steel reinforcement not shown, which is located in the hollow chamber adjacent to the groove base 16.

[0023] To enable the sash frame to be moved horizontally, the carriage assembly 10 further comprises a carriage 20, which includes a carriage frame 22 with two parallel sides 23, between which two rollers 24 are located, rotatably mounted on the sides 23 of the carriage frame 22. When the sash frame is moved, the rollers 24 roll on a track located below it, which is also not shown here.

[0024] To raise and lower the wing frame, the carriage assembly 10 further comprises a lifting mechanism 26, which can be actuated by a connecting rod 28 and which, depending on the direction of movement of the connecting rod 28, causes the carriage frame 22 to be lowered or raised relative to the base part 12. The connecting rod 28 is coupled to the carriage 20 and, in particular, its carriage frame 22 via a deflection lever 30 and a coupling lever 32. For this purpose, the connecting rod 28 is articulated to the deflection lever 30, which in turn is articulated to one end of the base part 12. The coupling lever 32, in turn, couples the deflection lever 30 to the carriage frame 22.

[0025] To convert a horizontal movement of the carriage 20 caused by the connecting rod movement into a vertical movement of the base part 12 and thus of the sash frame, the base part 12 includes an inclined guide 34, which in turn comprises a guide track 36 oriented obliquely to the longitudinal extent of the carriage 20 and a support element in the form of a pin 38, guided in this track and arranged on the carriage frame 22. When the connecting rod 28 is actuated, its movement is converted via the deflection lever 30 into a substantially horizontal movement of the coupling lever 32, which causes the carriage frame 22 and thus the pin 38 to move in the guide track 36, thereby raising or lowering the carriage frame 22 relative to the base part 12.

[0026] In the lowered position, the sash frame is aligned with respect to the guide rail via the base part 12 and, in particular, via two supports 40, 42 projecting from the underside of the coupling plate 14. The carriage assembly 10 can be moved along these guide rails via the rollers 24 when the carriage 20 is lowered. For this purpose, groove-like grooves are formed in the underside of the support feet 46, 48, which are provided at the free ends of the two supports 40, 42. These grooves accommodate the guide rail or a vertically extending web of the guide rail when the sash frame is lowered, thus centering the sash frame with respect to the guide rail. The supports 40, 42 are hollow internally, allowing a screw to be passed through each one. This enables the base part 12, and thus the entire carriage assembly 10, to be screwed, for example, to the bottom 16 of a profile groove 18.

[0027] If the supports 40, 42 project beyond the underside of the frame profile in which the profile groove 18 is formed, it can be difficult to mount the carriage assembly 10 exactly vertically and centrally in the profile groove 18. Accordingly, the invention provides that the carriage assembly 10 has a centering aid in the form of a mounting template 44, which rests on the upper side of the support feet 46, 48 facing the base part 12 and which are provided at the free end of the two supports 40, 42. The mounting template 44 thus bridges the gap between the upper side of the respective support foot 46, 48 and the underside of the sash frame in which the profile groove 18 is formed. If the frame profile is made of aluminum, its underside, in which the profile groove 18 is formed, can rest on the upper side of the mounting template 44 (see the figure). Fig. 2) rest, so that in the lowered state of the lift-and-slide element at least part of the weight of the sash frame is transferred via the mounting template 44 to the two support feet 40, 42.

[0028] Specifically, the two support feet 46, 48 each have two cantilever sections 50 oriented perpendicular to the direction of movement of the carriage assembly 10, which project from opposite sides of the respective support 40, 42. The free end of each cantilever section 50 forms a first chamfer 52 on the upper surface of the respective support foot 46, 48. Similarly, the mounting template 44 forms four second chamfers 54 that are complementary to the first chamfers, allowing the mounting template 44 to bear against the four first chamfers 52 over a surface area. The four second chamfers 54 of the mounting template 44 thus act in pairs like a funnel, since they center the base part 12, and therefore the entire carriage assembly 10, vertically and centrally in the profile groove 18.

[0029] How especially the Figs. 3 and 4As can be seen from the attached drawing, the mounting template 44 comprises two spaced-apart and parallel legs 56, on the facing sides of each leg two pairs of second chamfers 54 are formed. The two legs 56 are connected to each other via a central web 58 between the two pairs of second chamfers 54 and a side web 16 at a first end of the two legs 56. On the side facing the base part 12, the central web 58 forms an inclined plane 62, which rests against the inclined guide 34 of the lifting mechanism 26 of the carriage assembly 10, so that, if necessary, at least part of the sash weight can be transferred to the track via the central web 58.

[0030] From the side facing away from the base part 12, two ribs 64 extend from the central web 58, which together define a groove or channel 66 that is essentially U-shaped in cross-section, see [reference to be added]. Fig. 4In this groove 66, a guide web protruding upwards from the running rail comes to lie in the lowered state of the lift-and-slide element, so that the carriage assembly 10 cannot be pushed down from the running rail or forcibly levered down.

[0031] To position the carriage assembly 10 precisely in the center of the profile groove 18, a centering flange 68 projects from the side of each leg 56 facing the base part 12. In the embodiment shown here, the central web 58 extends between the two centering flanges 68. The clear width between the two centering flanges 68 corresponds essentially to the outer dimension between the outer surfaces of the two cheeks 23 of the carriage frame 22. Likewise, the clear width of the profile groove 18 corresponds essentially to the outer dimension between the two outer surfaces of the centering flanges 68, so that the carriage assembly 10 is centered in the profile groove 18 by the centering flanges 68.

[0032] Again Fig. 4As can be further seen, the two legs 56 of the mounting template 44 are not connected to each other at their second end, i.e., at the ends opposite the side web 60; rather, locking hooks 70 are formed at the ends of the legs 56, which project into the space between the two legs 56 and form mutually facing ramps 74. The pair of secondary chamfers 44 located between the central web 58 and the locking hooks 70 is bounded on one side by the central web 58 and on the other by the respective locking hook 70. The other pair of secondary chamfers 54, however, is bounded by the side web 60 and a respective recess 72, which are formed on the mutually facing sides of the two legs 56.

[0033] To attach the mounting template 44 to a carriage assembly 10, the mounting template 44 can be placed onto one of the two supports 42 in the area of the two recesses 72 before being moved longitudinally along the two legs 56. In this process, the two locking hooks 70 with their ramps 74 engage the other support 40, causing the two legs 56 to be spread apart by the spreading action of the two ramps 74 at the free end of the two locking hooks 70 until the two locking hooks 70 ultimately engage around or behind the support 40, thus securing the mounting template 44 to the supports 40 and 42 in a way that prevents it from being lost. In this position, the four first chamfers 52 of the two support feet 46, 48 are in full contact with the second chamfers 54 of the mounting template 44, whereby the carriage arrangement 10 can be properly centered in the profile groove 18 in the desired manner.
