Description

[0001] The invention relates to a setting device for the machine screwing in of fastening elements according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] It is known from the prior art to mechanically secure insulation and sealing materials on flat roofs against wind suction forces. This is done using fastening elements consisting of a screw with a metallic load-distributing washer or plastic screw combinations consisting of a plastic holder with an integrated head plate that serves as a load-distributing washer and a screw inserted in the plastic holder.

[0003] For the automated processing of fasteners, setting tools are advantageously used. In these tools, the fasteners are either pre-sorted or stored separately in larger quantities in designated magazines. To perform the setting process, the setting tools have a lifting mechanism with handles, to which a screwdriver is mounted. The lifting mechanism is operatively connected to singulation units, which extract the fasteners from the magazine stream during an up-and-down movement and transfer them to a screw-in axis. There, the downward-moving screwdriver grips the fasteners and drives them into the roof substrate. The roof structure is thus fixed to the roof substrate and secured against wind suction forces. The load-bearing roof substrate can be made of trapezoidal steel sheeting, wood, or concrete.

[0004] German patent DE 10 2018 000 987 B4 describes a setting tool for processing plastic screw combinations. These are pre-sorted and stored in magazines. The setting tool has a lifting mechanism that can be raised and lowered using handles, separating one fastener from the magazine stream and moving it into the screw-in slot.

[0005] EP 0 003 004 B1 describes a setting tool for processing fasteners, each consisting of a screw and a metallic load-distributing washer. Both components, the screw and the load-distributing washer, are stored separately in their respective magazines within the setting tool. The known setting tool has a magazine for the load-distributing washer and a cup-shaped screw magazine for the screws, which are arranged on a belt. The screws and load-distributing washer are separated by the lifting device, which is equipped with handles, during its upward and downward movement and transferred to the common screw-in axis.

[0006] All known setting tools suffer from the disadvantage of being quite heavy. In very few cases is a worker actually carrying the tool onto the roof. Instead, it is common practice to use the handles on the lifting mechanism, which is undesirable, to attach a rope so that the setting tool can be lifted onto the roof by a crane. This means that the entire weight of the setting tool is exerted on the lifting mechanism, which can easily be damaged.

[0007] Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to equip a setting device with means that allow crane transport.

[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by a setting device having the features of claim 1. Further features of the invention are described in the dependent claims.

[0009] A further object of the invention is to create a novel use of a suspension device designed for arrangement on a receiving shaft of a setting device in such a setting device, in order to allow crane transport of the setting device.

[0010] This problem is solved by using a suspension device having the features of claim 8.

[0011] According to the invention, a setting device for the machine screwing in of fastening elements for the mechanical fixing of insulation materials and sealing membranes on flat roofs is proposed, consisting of a chassis on which a receiving shaft for a lifting device and a lifting column are arranged, to which handles for operating the lifting device and a clamping claw for receiving a screwdriver are attached.

[0012] The setting device according to the invention is characterized in that a suspension device is arranged on it, which is designed to transport it in a suspended position by means of a lifting device acting on the suspension device (20), in particular a crane.

[0013] The invention makes it possible to suspend the setting device, for example by means of a rope or other pulling device, from a crane and lift it onto the roof of a building where the device is used, without mechanically stressing the sensitive lifting mechanism during the lifting process. This reduces the risk of using functional parts of the setting device as suspension elements contrary to their intended purpose and thereby damaging them.

[0014] An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the suspension device is arranged on the receiving shaft of the setting device. The receiving shaft is a robust and dimensionally stable body that can withstand tensile loads without this having any effect on functional parts of the setting device.

[0015] In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the suspension device comprises a mounting plate and a capsule arranged orthogonally to the mounting plate. The capsule has a chamber into which a bracket is inserted. This bracket is displaceable in a direction parallel to the lifting column, i.e., vertically when the setting tool is stationary. This allows the bracket to be retracted into the chamber in its rest position, thus preventing it from interfering with subsequent laying operations. Conversely, for suspended transport of the setting tool, the bracket can be pulled out of the chamber against its own weight to attach a pulling element, such as a rope, by means of which the setting tool can be lifted by a lifting device. The vertical mobility of the bracket offers the advantage that, when using the setting tool on a roof, the bracket can be moved without the need for additional spring elements, etc.It is always automatically moved into the chamber and protected against contamination until the next lifting operation.

[0016] To ensure the height adjustability of the bracket, a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the bracket is U-shaped and has a cam on each of its legs, each of which is movable in a vertically oriented elongated slot. The elongated slot(s) can be arranged on the inner wall of the chamber or on the outer wall of the receiving shaft, in which case the rear wall of the capsule can be open.

[0017] The upper and lower semicircular walls of the elongated holes serve as stops for the cams of the bail, with the upper stop simultaneously forming the top dead center for the bail in its furthest extended position.

[0018] There are various ways to advantageously develop and further refine the teaching of the present invention. Reference should be made, on the one hand, to the dependent claims and, on the other hand, to the following explanation of an exemplary embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawings.

[0019] The drawings show: Figure 1 shows a setting device in a perspective view, Figure 2 shows an enlargement of the suspension with the bracket retracted in a perspective view, Figure 3 shows an enlargement of the suspension with the bracket extended in a perspective view, Figure 4 shows the guidance of the suspension in the situation with the bracket retracted, and Figure 5 shows the guidance of the suspension in the situation with the bracket extended.

[0020] The Figure 1Figure 1 shows a setting device 1. A receiving chute 6 for the lifting device 30 and a singulation unit 5 for the screws are arranged on a chassis 2 with two rollers 3 and 4. Furthermore, a magazine 7 with a singulation unit 8 for load distribution plates and a screw magazine 10 for screw belts to be inserted therein are provided. The lifting device 30 has a lifting column 32, at the free end of which two T-shaped handles 34 and 35 are attached to a bearing head 36. These are attached on both sides to a bearing head 36. A clamping claw 40 is provided on the bearing head 36 at the front in the direction of travel. A screwdriver (not shown here) is inserted into this clamping claw, the screw rod of which runs coaxially to the screwing axis 42.

[0021] As the design of the setting device shows, the components are in a reciprocal interaction. If a deformation should occur on the lifting column 32, or if the handles 34, 35 are bent, this can lead to malfunctions in the raising and lowering of the lifting device 30, from whose movement the singulation of the fastening elements is derived.

[0022] The invention therefore provides means that make it possible to lift the setting device 1 onto a roof with a crane without the need to attach the pulling elements to important functional parts. The suspension device according to the invention is designated by reference numeral 20.

[0023] The Figures 2 to 5Figure 1 shows the suspension device 20 in various views, each enlarged. It consists of a mounting plate 21 and a capsule 22 containing an extendable bracket 23. The mounting plate 21 is preferably provided with six holes 60 to 65 for screws and is attached to the rear side 9 of the receiving shaft 6. The capsule 22 has two holes 66, 67 through which the screws for attaching the capsule 22 to the mounting plate 21 are passed.

[0024] The capsule 22 accommodates a height-adjustable bracket 23 and has a chamber 24 for this purpose, in which the bracket 23 is slidably mounted. The bracket 23 is U-shaped and has a cam 27, 28 near the ends of each of its legs 25, 26, which is guided in a slot 45, 46. In its rest position, the bracket 23 is retracted into the chamber 24, so that only the arc 29 protrudes from the capsule 22. When the setting device is to be suspended from a crane, the bracket 23 is extended so that the cams 27, 28 strike the top dead center 49 of the slots 45, 46.

[0025] According to another consideration, the invention comprises a [unclear] in the Figures 1 to 4 The setting device shown (1) is for the machine screwing in of fasteners for mechanical fastening.

[0026] Fixing insulation materials and sealing membranes on flat roofs. This comprises, or consists of, a chassis 2 on which a receiving shaft 6 for a lifting device 30 and a lifting column 32 are arranged, the latter having handles 34, 35 for actuating the lifting device 30 and a clamping claw 40 with a screwdriver housed therein, wherein a suspension device 20 is arranged on the setting device 1, which is configured to transport the setting device 1 in a suspended position by means of a lifting device acting on the suspension device 20. The setting device 1 is characterized in that the suspension device 20 is arranged on the receiving shaft 6 and comprises a mounting plate 21 attached to the rear of the receiving shaft 6 and a capsule 22 arranged orthogonally to the mounting plate 21, which has a chamber 24 into which a U-shaped bracket 23, which is displaceable in a direction parallel to the lifting column 32, is inserted, the U-shaped bracket being attached at its legs 25.Each capsule 26 carries a cam 27, 28, which is movable in an elongated hole 45, 46, wherein the elongated holes 45, 46 are preferably arranged on the inner wall of the chamber 24. Alternatively, the rear wall of the capsule 22 can be open, in which case the elongated holes 45, 46 are arranged on the outer wall of the receiving shaft 6.

[0027] The chassis 2 has at least one caster wheel, which supports the chassis 2 on the ground. By pivoting the chassis 2 about the axis of the at least one caster wheel, the underside of the chassis 2 is lifted from the ground, and the setting device is pushed to the next fixing position with the foot. Preferably, however, two casters 3, 4 are used, which are arranged laterally on the outside of the chassis 2, as shown in Fig. 1 shown.

[0028] Finally, the invention relates to the use of a previously described receiving device 20 in a previously described setting device 1. The receiving device 20 is designed for arrangement on a receiving shaft 6 of the setting device and comprises a mounting plate 21 attached to the rear of the receiving shaft 6 and a capsule 22 arranged orthogonally to the mounting plate 21, which has a chamber 24 into which a U-shaped bracket 23, displaceable in one direction parallel to a lifting column 32 of the setting device 1, is inserted. Each of the U-shaped bracket's legs 25, 26 carries a cam 27, 28, which is displaceable in an elongated hole 45, 46. The elongated holes 45, 46 are arranged on the inner wall of the chamber 24; alternatively, if the rear wall of the capsule 22 is open, they can also be arranged on or in the outer wall of the receiving shaft 6.
