Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a modular system for the demountable construction of a room, in particular climatically and / or acoustically insulated, in an interior space, especially in a sales area such as a supermarket or department store.
[0002] In retail spaces such as supermarkets or department stores, there is a widespread need for enclosed, soundproofed rooms for specific sales purposes: loudspeakers and other audiophile equipment need acoustic quiet for presentation and testing, cigars need a specific climate, namely a specific humidity, and wines and other foodstuffs require a specific temperature.
[0003] For a long time now, there have been insulated rooms that, as a room within a room, provide these conditions and are freely accessible to customers.
[0004] The self-service store concept is particularly widespread in supermarkets. Customers walk through the aisles between the shelves and, either intentionally or inspired by the visible selection, search for products, take them from the shelf, and buy them.
[0005] Sales psychology factors influence the customer's experience and behavior in such a sales area. Lighting and music, for example, change the "atmosphere," but the design and arrangement of the furniture also affect customer well-being and thus their "purchasing behavior."
[0006] The present invention is based on the objective of creating a furniture system, in particular for offering goods on a self-service basis, that is more environmentally friendly and improves its accessibility for users.
[0007] This problem is solved by a modular system with the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments are specified in the dependent claims.
[0008] The invention relates to a modular system with various elements for erecting furniture for presenting goods - and as part of this system for constructing an insulated room for presenting goods therein with wall panels and ceiling panels (and possibly other elements of the system such as frames and / or merchandise carriers and / or floor panels), for the (in particular non-destructive and also dismantleable) construction of an insulated room in an interior space, and there on a (substantially) level floor.
[0009] The system includes wall panels with doors and wall panels without doors as elements of the system, and possibly also wall panels with windows.
[0010] To be arranged within and / or connected to and surrounding the space, the system particularly preferably includes (as already indicated) additional frame surface elements and shelf compartment elements (or more generally, merchandise supports) for constructing shelves. These frames particularly preferably have concave front edges and are designed to be arranged vertically and parallel to each other in the intended orientation. The shelf compartment elements are designed to be mounted horizontally one above the other between the frames, with their side edges along one surface of each frame and accessible from one side. Shelves can thus be created, which will be described in more detail below.
[0011] First, let's look at the elements for constructing the room: The wall panels each consist of a layer surrounded by a wooden frame: an outer layer of engineered wood panel material (especially plywood, such as multiplex, or OSB, for example), an inner layer of engineered wood panel material (especially plywood, such as multiplex, or OSB, for example), and at least one layer of insulation (especially wood fiber) and a vapor barrier or retarder layer in between. The layering does not include a layer of thermoset plastic.
[0012] The wall panels are designed to be aligned, particularly with a flat surface or a flat outer structure such as a flush frame contour, preferably in a vertical plane, and / or in a form-fitting and / or flush manner with adjacent wall panels, in order to form one of the (particularly preferably flat, vertical) walls of the insulated room. These walls are then designed to be aligned (particularly at a right angle when viewed from above) in a form-fitting and flush manner with adjacent walls, by means of at least one wall panel of one wall being designed to be aligned (particularly at a right angle in plan view, form-fitting, and flush) with at least one wall panel of the other wall, the assembly sequence of the wall panels of the one and the other walls being undefined: preferably, one panel can also be placed next to the other across the "corner".The wall panels are preferably flat, and especially rectangular, and tall enough that one panel forms a wall section the full height of the wall. Preferably, several wall panels placed side by side form a flat wall along its entire length.
[0013] The wall panels with windows each additionally have at least one window pane surrounded by a wooden frame and / or the layered material, and the wall panels with doors each additionally have a door surrounded by a wooden frame and / or the layered material (especially with a door leaf made of glass or transparent plastic – for the sake of room insulation, preferably made of two- or multi-layered transparent material). Wall panels with windows can therefore also be included as elements in the system. A wall panel with a door is always included.
[0014] The ceiling panels also feature the layered construction described above, surrounded by a wooden frame. They are preferably designed to be aligned and / or interlocked and / or flush in a horizontal first direction, particularly with a flat surface of the ceiling panel or a flat outer structure such as a flat frame contour, in a horizontal plane to form the (especially preferably horizontal) ceiling of the insulated room. The ceiling panels are further designed to be placed on two opposing wall panels, particularly individually and sequentially, spanning the interior of the insulated room in a direction perpendicular (especially horizontal) to the first (especially horizontal) direction.
[0015] As already mentioned, the system can also include other elements, even for the construction of the room.
[0016] Particularly preferred as additional elements of the system are floor panels, especially those with at least one insulating layer, designed to be inserted into the ring of walls formed by the wall panels on the level floor of the interior. Since the invention aims to create an insulated room within an interior space—and this "housing" interior space has a (moreover, level) floor (because the invention is designed for this purpose)—it is not necessary (as with buildings for outdoor areas, which are erected, for example, on, in, or above ground) to first construct a floor or foundation and then place the building walls upon it. According to the invention, the walls can stand on the floor of the interior space—they are designed for this purpose—and can then be arranged as a ring, which is designed to subsequently support the roof of the insulated space. The floor panels that can be inserted into the ring of walls can have (at least) an insulating layer to provide the insulating properties of the room, but the floor of the accommodating interior space (in which the insulated room is to be built according to the invention) may already be sufficiently insulating in the sense of the invention (e.g. acoustically insulating and / or thermally insulating), so that the floor panels only have to provide a floor covering suitable for the room, for example, in an aesthetically pleasing way.
[0017] Particularly favored as additional elements of the system are wall panels with windows, each featuring a window pane surrounded by a wooden frame and / or the layering of the wall panels (with or without a door, as described above). This allows one to see from the interior space surrounding the insulated room into the insulated room and vice versa.
[0018] For manufacturing purposes and when constructing the room with the kit according to the invention, it is particularly preferred that the wall panels are flat and / or rectangular and / or have a height such that adjacent wall panels form a wall of the insulated room to the full height.
[0019] From the same perspective, it is particularly preferred that the wall panels are designed to be positively connected to adjacent wall panels by means of a positive-locking structure consisting of a strip of wood-based panel material, divided in horizontal section, in particular diagonally, one part of which extends laterally on the frame of one wall panel and the other part of which extends laterally on the frame of the adjacent wall panel vertically over its respective entire height or side surface, and can be fastened in particular by means of screws - and likewise the ceiling panels to adjacent ceiling panels.
[0020] Accordingly, the walls thus assembled are designed to fit snugly against the adjacent walls (especially at right angles in a particularly preferred cuboid-shaped room), namely by means of a form-fitting structure consisting of a strip of wood-based panel material, divided diagonally in horizontal section. One part of this strip is attached laterally to the frame of the horizontally last wall panel of the wall (or can be attached, especially by means of screws), and the other part is attached internally to the inner layer of wood-based panel material of the horizontally last wall panel of the adjacent wall (for example, at right angles in a cuboid-shaped room), extending vertically over its entire height.
[0021] It is particularly advantageous if both parts of the form-fitting structure can be detachably screwed together from one of the two side surfaces of the strip, in order to firmly connect the form-fitting elements.
[0022] Particularly preferred as additional elements of the system are frames designed to be vertically and flush-mounted against the wall – both inside and outside the room – and especially preferably against a vertical joint between two wall panels, particularly to divide this wall of the insulated room horizontally. In particular, display units such as shelving units can be arranged between these frames (or the units can even be attached to the wall panel), for example, to present a product range clearly within the room. Preferably, the frames and the form-fitting structure are made of wood-based panel material of the same thickness, and the frames are designed to be inserted flush against the form-fitting structure in the vertical joint between two wall panels.
[0023] A shelving unit of this type—specifically one whose frames are positioned on the exterior of the room—is ideally designed as follows: As mentioned, the shelving unit has frame panels arranged vertically and parallel to one another. Between each pair of panels, shelf elements or more generally, storage units (such as shelves, baskets, dispensers, sloping shelves, or display cases) are mounted horizontally, one above the other. Their side edges run along one surface of each frame and are accessible from one side, the "front." Thus, the shelf elements, stacked one above the other and accessible from this single side—on the exterior walls of the room—form the typical functionality of a shelving unit.
[0024] The frames preferably extend at their upper ends over an area in front of the accessible side of the shelf units. Roofing panels can be attached to them there (as mentioned, particularly preferred for such a shelf unit outside the room), possibly overlapping each other, especially if the panels are of different heights. These roofing panels can have any desired outer contour, preferably, for example, an oval, a circle, a superellipse, a rectangle, a square, or a leaf. They could also be star-shaped, in the form of a speech bubble, or a cartoon explosion, and not necessarily all with the same outer contour. They are flat as a surface, or simply or doubly curved, as freeform surfaces curved in sections in any combination, or as a whole element of one of these - and again, not necessarily all on a shelf with the same surface shape.
[0025] The spades – and this is particularly preferred in such a shelving unit, not only outside but also inside the room – preferably have an outer contour with a leading edge (towards the accessible side of the shelf elements) that is concave (at least in one section). Thus, the respective frame can even extend its leading edge over the area in front of the accessible side of the shelf elements or at least into it. The roofing element can then even be attached to the frame there, preferably on the trailing edge of this upper end of the frame – for which purpose the frame is preferably designed as a tapered extension. This, however, applies particularly preferably to the shelving unit outside the room.In particular, the shelf can have ribs of different heights in order to arrange roofing surface elements at different heights, especially to allow them to overlap.
[0026] The fact that two such opposing shelves enclose a person between them as if in a tunnel is a special feature of this particularly preferred embodiment of the system according to the invention.
[0027] The outer contour of the frames preferably has a rear edge (opposite the front edge) which (in the frame's intended position) is straight and vertical at least in a lower section (i.e., in the direction opposite to the accessible side of the shelf elements). These rear edges thus define a vertical plane to which the shelf elements preferably extend (again in the direction opposite to the accessible side of the shelf elements). This creates a flat back of the shelf – where (if such a shelf is not only located outside the room but is even freestanding away from an exterior wall of the room) a flat back panel can preferably be attached and / or the shelf can be placed with this flat back against the (flat, vertical) back of another shelf, so to speak, back to back.Alternatively, it can be attached with this flat back side to the (flat, vertical) outer or inner wall of the room, preferably by being inserted laterally in a form-fitting manner, flush against the form-fitting structure in the joint between two wall panels.
[0028] According to the invention, such a shelf (located outside the room, away from any wall) is particularly preferably designed to be placed freely on a flat, horizontal floor without additional lateral support. For this purpose, the frames preferably have a straight, horizontal lower edge and / or two foot elements at their lower end, which are preferably height-adjustable.
[0029] Particularly preferred are rails attached along the vertical rear edges of the frames, into which the shelf compartment elements can preferably be hung in a height-adjustable manner and thus fixed between the frames.
[0030] The spades and / or bases of the shelf compartment elements and / or the back panel are particularly preferred if they are made of wood-based panel material (plywood or OSB).
[0031] The system according to the invention (for constructing an insulated room) is particularly preferably supplemented by building elements for constructing such a shelf and then has at least one embodiment of a frame surface element, and in particular also of a shelf compartment element and a roof surface element for constructing a shelf as described so far.
[0032] The shelving unit (outside and / or inside the insulated space) is preferably fitted with lights, in particular spotlights and / or indirect light sources, the latter, for example, mounted on the trailing edge of the frames in the upper area. Spotlights or other lamps, especially those producing direct light, are preferably located below the roofing panels, particularly at the leading edge of the upper frame ends. Preferably, they are slidably mounted in spotlight tracks along the leading edge. The power supply for the lighting on the shelving unit can be particularly advantageously provided by cables running from the light sources on the shelving unit through longitudinal grooves in the trailing edges of the frames, especially at the upper frame ends, and preferably through horizontal cable conduits or (especially upwardly open) channels between (especially bores in) the frames containing the power cables. This makes it particularly convenient to connect the power supply for an entire shelf (even one consisting of a large number of frames with goods carriers in between, forming a longer shelf line) to the power grid at just a few or even only one "transfer point".
[0033] Particularly preferred as additional elements of the system are airflow guide surfaces, preferably made of plywood but possibly also of other flexible flat material, which are designed to snap into place (especially between two frames as lateral boundaries) between a first stop strip attached to the ceiling of the insulated room on one side and a second stop strip attached parallel to it to the wall of the insulated room on the other, with an inwardly concave curve. Particularly if the room is climatically insulated, it may, for example, contain an air conditioning system or a refrigeration unit designed to blow out appropriately treated air. It is then preferably mounted under the ceiling of the insulated room in such a way that the airflow is directed horizontally onto at least one of the airflow guide surfaces and from there redirected downwards and thus distributed further in the room.
[0034] The insulated space according to the invention can be a cold storage room. Refrigerators and cold storage rooms are known (and also in the embodiment according to the invention) to be equipped with air conditioning systems, sensors, and control electronics, which in any case generate, maintain, and regulate the low temperature, and also adjust the humidity. As described, the actual chamber of the insulated space is surrounded by walls that provide insulation and thus potentially maintain the temperature difference between the inside and outside for as long as possible with the lowest possible energy expenditure by the air conditioning system or refrigeration unit.
[0035] The insulated space according to the invention is also particularly suitable for supermarkets as a so-called walk-in cooler, a walk-in refrigerator whose at least one door preferably closes securely and also provides a degree of thermal insulation, but has a less robust locking and latching mechanism than those commonly used for industrial cold storage rooms. According to the invention, a "self-closing" door is also possible, which falls against an elastic seal onto a ledge that runs around the circumference of the door frame.
[0036] Last but not least, the insulation of the elements according to the invention is preferably made of an environmentally friendly material, in particular wood fiber.
[0037] Further aspects, features, and technical advantages of the invention are described below with reference to the figures. The figures show an embodiment of the invention in two different arrangements—in which the features depicted therein and described here are also, individually and independently of the respective illustrated embodiment, in accordance with the invention, insofar as this is at least somewhat obvious or works without requiring inventive action—namely Fig. 1 is an isometric view from above of two shelves according to the invention, back to back, outside of an insulated room constructed with the system according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a spatial view from an oblique front view of the two shelves according to the invention. Fig. 1Outside of an insulated room constructed with the system according to the invention, opposite each other, Fig. 3 a cutaway side view of an insulated room constructed with the system according to the invention and with shelves in and outside of it, Fig. 4 a plan view of the insulated room constructed with the system according to the invention and with shelves in and outside of it. Fig. 3 , Fig. 5 an isometric representation of the layering according to the invention within wall panels of the system according to the invention for constructing an insulated room and Fig. 6 a plan view of three wall panels, two of which are exploded, and two frames, exploded, of the system according to the invention for constructing an insulated room.
[0038] Here we will first show Fig. 1 and Fig. 2Shelves 2 are located outside an insulated room 50 constructed with the system according to the invention (as shown in the other figures). The illustrated shelf 2 serves to display and offer goods (not shown) in an "accommodating" interior space, such as, in particular, the self-service sales areas of supermarkets.
[0039] It has become apparent, initially with regard to Fig. 2Each of the two shelves 2 has three frame surface elements 4 (with a concave front edge 6 and a straight, vertical rear edge 8 in its lower section – more on this below), which are arranged perpendicular and parallel to each other in the intended orientation shown. Between each pair of the three frames 4 of each of the two shelves 2, shelf compartment elements or merchandise supports (shown as shelves) 10 are attached horizontally, one above the other, with their side edges 12 along a surface 14 of one of the frames 4 – and accessible from one side 16, namely the space 16 between the two shelves 2. Rails 18 are attached along the vertical rear edges 8 of the frames 4, into which the shelf compartment elements 10 can be suspended with their side edge cantilever arms 12 in a height-adjustable manner and thus fixed between the frames 4. In this way, the shelf compartment elements 10, stacked one above the other and accessible from one side 16, provide the usual functionality of a shelf.
[0040] However, the frames 4, which support these shelf elements or merchandise carriers 10, are special in their design.
[0041] The frames 4 extend at their upper end 20 over the area in front of the accessible side 16 of the shelf elements 10. Roofing surface elements 22 are attached to them there. The roofing surface elements 22 all have the same outer contour, namely in the form of a superellipse. As a whole, they are doubly curved: firstly, concave like the front edge of the frames 4 (facing the accessible side 16 of the shelf 2) in cross-sections in planes (not shown) that are parallel to the surfaces 14 of the frames 4; and secondly, convex (facing the accessible side 16 of the shelf 2) in cross-sections in perpendicular planes (not shown), i.e., in planes that are perpendicular and perpendicular to the surfaces 14 of the frames 4.
[0042] The spades 4 have an outer contour with a front edge 6 (towards the accessible side 16 of the shelf compartment elements 10), which, as already indicated, is concave. Thus, the respective frame 4 arches with its front edge 6 over the area 16 in front of the accessible side 16 of the shelf compartment elements 10. The roof surface element 22 is then attached to the frame 4 at this point, specifically on the upper end 20 of the rear edge 8 of the frame 4 (which is concave in this upper end section 20, like the front edge 6). For this purpose, the frames 4 are designed at their upper end 20 as a tapered extension 20 (with a concave front edge 6 and rear edge 8 in the direction of the accessible side 16 of the shelf compartment elements 10). Fig. 2Figure 1 shows how the two opposing shelves 2 create a space 16 (from which the shelves 2 are accessible), which is covered by the superellipses 22 of the roofing panels 22 like a canopy of leaves. People there are enveloped by the two shelves with their concave front edges and the concave cantilevers 20 supporting the roofing panels 22, as if in a tunnel. The roofing panels 22 also conceal structures such as air conditioning and sprinkler systems, electrical power supply and data lines (not shown) under the ceiling of a sales area in which the shelves 2 are erected.
[0043] And the spades 4 have an outer contour with a rear edge 8 (opposite the front edge), which (in the illustrated intended position of the frames 4) is straight and vertical in its lower section. Thus, these rear edges 8 of the frames 4 of the shelves 2 (three in the figures – but with the modular system by which the illustrated shelves 2 are constructed from elements 4, 10, 22, 24, 30, 32, into a series that can be extended to any length) span a vertical plane (not shown). This forms a flat back of the shelves 2. A flat back panel 24 can be attached there. The shelf compartment elements 10 extend to this point (i.e., in the direction opposite to the accessible side 16 of the shelf compartment elements 10). With this flat back, the shelves 2 can be placed against a vertical wall (not shown) – or, as in Fig. 1to see, and the (flat, vertical) back of another shelf 2, so to speak back 24 to back 24.
[0044] With regard to Fig. 1 It is also evident that the shelves have frames 4 of different heights in order to arrange roofing surface elements 22 at different heights, namely to allow them to overlap each other as shown: the middle of the roofing surface elements 22' is arranged higher (and can thus overlap the two lateral roofing surface elements 22 on top without touching) because it is mounted on a frame 4' that is slightly higher than the two lateral frames 4.
[0045] The shelves 2 are designed to be placed freely on a level, horizontal floor 26 of a sales area without additional lateral support (such as a wall). For this purpose, the frames 4 each have two foot elements (not shown) at their lower straight end 28, which are height-adjustable, particularly to compensate for uneven floors. Between the lower ends of the frames 4 are rolling drawers 10' (which are not connected to the frames) serving as merchandise carriers 10' of a different shape and function, with a forward-sloping surface.
[0046] Light spotlights 30 are attached to the shelves 2, specifically below the roof surface elements 22 at the front edge 6 of the upper frame ends (or outriggers) 20. They are slidable there in light spotlight rails 30, which are supplied with power lines (not shown) from a central connection (not shown) via longitudinal grooves (not shown) in the upper frame ends 20 and via cable channels 32 between bores 34 in the frames 4.
[0047] The spades 4 and the shelves of the shelf units 10 and the back wall 24 are made of wood panel material, namely plywood.
[0048] The illustrated modular system for erecting furniture for presenting goods also includes various elements for constructing an insulated room 50 for presenting goods (not shown) containing wall panels 52, 52', 52" and ceiling panels 54 and floor panels 56, for the (particularly non-destructive and also dismantleable) construction of the insulated room 50 in an interior space 57, and there on a (substantially) level floor 26.
[0049] The system includes wall panels with a 52" door and wall panels with a 52" window. This allows one to see from the interior space surrounding the insulated room into the insulated room and vice versa. Wall panels without either feature (52") are also available as part of the system.
[0050] The wall panels 52 each have a layering surrounded by a wooden frame 58 ( Fig. 5) on: a wood-based panel material 60 as the outer layer and a wood-based panel material 60 as the inner layer, with an insulating layer of wood fiber 62 and a foil layer 64 as a vapor barrier or retarder in between. The layering does not include a layer of thermoset (thermoset plastic).
[0051] The wall panels 52 are designed to be aligned with adjacent wall panels 52 in a vertical plane, flush and form-fitting, with a flat surface 58 of the panel 52, namely a flat frame contour 58. Fig. 4 and 6 ), in order to form one of the (flat, vertical) walls 52 of the insulated room 50. And these walls 52 are then arranged to be (at a right angle viewed from above - 68 - Fig. 4) to be attached to adjacent walls 52 in a form-fitting and flush manner, by means of at least one wall panel 52 of one wall being arranged (by means of a connecting structure 70 - more on this below) to be attached (at right angles in plan view, form-fitting and flush) to at least one wall panel 52 of the other wall. With regard to Fig. 3 The wall panels 52 are flat and rectangular, and so tall that one of the wall panels forms a full-height section of the wall. This is recognizable in Fig. 4 When several of the wall panels 52 are placed next to each other, they form a flat wall along its entire length.
[0052] The wall panels 52' with window 72 each additionally have at least one of a wooden frame 58 and the layering ( Fig. 5 ) surrounded window pane 72, and the wall panels 52" with door 74 each additionally a door 74 surrounded by a wooden frame 58 (with a door leaf made of two-layer, transparent plastic.
[0053] The ceiling panels 54 ( Fig. 4 ) each exhibit the layering described above, surrounded by a wooden frame 58 ( Fig. 5 ) on. They are designed to be aligned and flush with each other in a horizontal plane, with a flat surface of the ceiling panel, namely a flat frame contour 58, in a horizontal plane, in order to form the (horizontal) ceiling 54 of the insulated room 50. The ceiling panels 54 are also designed to be aligned in the direction perpendicular (also horizontal) to the first direction (in which they are aligned horizontally - not shown). Fig. 3horizontally) spanning the interior space 16 of the insulated room 50 on two opposing wall panels 52 (lying flat and flush, but not further interlocking - the latter is also possible according to the invention, for example in a recess opposite on both walls 52) in particular to be placed individually one after the other next to each other.
[0054] Particularly advantageous as additional elements of the system are floor panels 56, here made of a load-bearing insulating material 56, which are designed to fit as in Fig. 3 to be seen, on the level floor 26 of the interior 57 in the ring (see Fig. 4) from walls 52, which are formed from the wall panels 52. Since the invention is aimed at constructing an insulated room 50 in an interior space 57 – and this "housing" interior space 57 already has its own (moreover, level) floor 26 – it is not necessary with the invention (as with buildings for an outdoor area, which are erected, for example, on, in, or above ground) to first construct a floor or a foundation and then place the walls of the building on it. Rather, according to the invention, the walls 52 can stand on the floor 26 of the interior space 57 – they are designed for this purpose – and can thus then be arranged as a ring (see Fig. 4 ) be arranged, which is set up to subsequently support the roof 54 of the insulated room 50 ( Fig. 3The floor panels 56, which can be inserted into the ring of walls, consist of (impact-resistant) insulating material in order to provide (as do walls 52 and ceiling 54) the insulating properties of the room 50.
[0055] From a manufacturing perspective, it is particularly advantageous that the wall panels 52 are designed to be positively interlocked with adjacent wall panels by means of a positive locking structure 70 ( Fig. 6 ), which consists of a strip of wood-based panel material, divided in horizontal section in particular diagonally, one part 70' of which is laterally attached to the frame 58 of one wall panel 52 and the other part 70" of which is laterally attached to the frame 58 of the adjacent wall panel 52 (extending vertically over its respective entire height) in particular by means of screws (not shown) - and likewise (not shown) the ceiling panels 54 to adjacent ceiling panels 54.
[0056] Accordingly, the walls 52 assembled in this way are arranged to be fitted to the adjacent walls at right angles 68 (at right angles for the cuboid space 50) - again by means of the same form-fitting structure 70, which consists of a strip of wood panel material divided diagonally in horizontal section.
[0057] For easy assembly and disassembly, both parts of the positive locking structure 70 can be removed from one of the two side surfaces (against the sides shown). Fig. 6 (The frames 4 are mountable) are detachably screwed together (not shown) to the strip in order to firmly connect the form-fitting elements.
[0058] Particularly advantageous as additional elements of the system are the (already with reference to Figs. 1 and 2(Described in detail) frames 4, which are set up, fit together vertically in a form-fitting manner - as a possibility both inside the room and on the outside of the room (see Fig. 6 ) - to be attached to the wall: each onto a vertical joint between two wall panels 52. Merchandise carriers 10, such as shelf compartment elements 10, can be arranged between them to present a product range (not shown) clearly in the space 50. For lateral interlocking, in particular, the ribs 4 and the interlocking structure 70 are made of wood-based panel material of the same thickness ( Fig. 6 ) - and the frames 4 are set up to be inserted flush against the form-locking structure in the particularly vertical joint between two wall panels in a form-locking manner.
[0059] Advantageous for distributing the air circulation in room 50 as additional elements of the system are airflow guide surfaces 76, which are designed to snap between a first stop strip 78 attached to the ceiling of the insulated room on one side and a second stop strip 78 attached parallel to it to the wall 52 of the insulated room 50, and which are concavely curved inwards. Room 50 is climate-insulated and has an air conditioning unit or refrigeration device 80 that is designed to blow out adjustable amounts of cold air. It is mounted under the ceiling of the insulated room.
[0060] The insulated room 50 is therefore a cold storage room 50. It is particularly suitable for supermarkets as a so-called walk-in cooler 50, a "walk-in refrigerator," whose two doors 74 close securely and also provide a degree of thermal insulation, but have a less robust locking and latching mechanism than those typically found in industrial cold storage rooms. In this case, the doors are "self-closing," closing against an elastic seal on a lip that runs around the circumference of the door frame. Reference symbol list
