Abstract
Description
[0001] Commercial vehicle assembly
[0002] The invention relates to a commercial vehicle assembly according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0003] Commercial vehicles with a cab may have a so-called technical tower behind the cab, which can be used, for example, to accommodate technical components. In the event of a frontal impact, the cab is pressed against the technical tower and can deform, reducing the driver's occupant clearance in the cab.
[0004] DE 10 2022 118 086 A1 describes a commercial vehicle assembly for a commercial vehicle, comprising a vehicle frame, a cabin arranged on the vehicle frame, and a technical tower arranged behind the cabin on the vehicle frame, in which technical components of the commercial vehicle, including one or more hydrogen tanks, are arranged, wherein the technical tower has a frame configured to receive the technical components, wherein the frame is designed like a shelf, wherein the frame has four substantially vertically arranged supports above an imaginary rectangular base area, wherein the supports are interconnected by cross members, each of which extends over an edge of the imaginary rectangular base area, wherein the rear supports in a direction of travel are designed to be relatively soft in a lower region near the vehicle frame, while the front supports in the direction of travel and the components of the frame adjacent to the relatively soft areas are relatively stiff.
[0005] The invention is based on the object of providing a novel solution for ensuring the greatest possible occupant clearance in the cabin of a commercial vehicle during a frontal impact. This object is achieved according to the invention by a commercial vehicle assembly having the features of claim 1.
[0006] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.
[0007] A commercial vehicle assembly for a commercial vehicle is proposed, comprising a vehicle frame, a cab arranged on the vehicle frame, and a technical tower arranged behind the cab on the vehicle frame for accommodating technical components of the commercial vehicle. According to the invention, the technical tower is connected to at least one bracket fixed to the vehicle frame, wherein the bracket allows a defined relative movement of the technical tower to the vehicle frame in the direction of the rear of the vehicle after overcoming a moment of resistance resulting from a holding force of the connection.
[0008] Connecting the engine tower to the vehicle frame in this way, for example with a predetermined breaking point, allows for the engine tower to be moved. This reduces cab deformation in a frontal collision, as part of the impact energy is absorbed in the engine tower, and improves the survival space for the occupants.
[0009] Embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to drawings.
[0010] Showing:
[0011] Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a vehicle frame of a commercial vehicle, a cabin arranged on the vehicle frame and a technical tower arranged behind the cabin on the vehicle frame,
[0012] Fig. 2 a schematic detailed view of the vehicle frame with the technical tower in a starting position,
[0013] Fig. 3 is a schematic detailed view of the vehicle frame with the technical tower 3 in a displaced position as a result of a frontal impact, and
[0014] Fig. 4 shows a schematic detailed view of the technical tower with a console. Corresponding parts are provided with the same reference numerals in all figures.
[0015] Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a commercial vehicle assembly 20 for a commercial vehicle, comprising a vehicle frame 1 of a tractor, a cabin 2 (driver's cab) arranged on the vehicle frame 1 and a technical tower 3 arranged behind the cabin 2 on the vehicle frame 1, in which technical components of the commercial vehicle, for example hydrogen tanks, battery or HV components, and other vehicle components, such as cooling and air conditioning units, can be arranged.
[0016] Fig. 2 is a schematic detailed view of the vehicle frame 1 with the technical tower 3 in a starting position P1.
[0017] Behind the technical tower 3 a semi-trailer 4 or trailer 4 or body 4 is shown.
[0018] In the event of a frontal impact of the commercial vehicle, in which the cabin 2 hits an object head-on, for example an obstacle or an oncoming vehicle, the cabin 2 is moved backwards towards the technical tower 3, opposite to a direction of travel F.
[0019] In order to realize a commercial vehicle assembly 20 in which the cabin 2 survives a frontal impact with as little damage as possible and the technology tower 3 remains on the vehicle frame 1, it is proposed according to the invention that the technology tower 3 is connected to at least one console 5 fixed to the vehicle frame 1, wherein the console 5 allows a defined relative movement of the technology tower 3 to the vehicle frame 1 in the direction of the rear of the vehicle after overcoming a resistance moment resulting from a holding force of the connection.
[0020] Fig. 3 is a schematic detailed view (side view) of the vehicle frame 1 with the technical tower 3 in a displaced position P2 as a result of a frontal impact.
[0021] The console 5 can be attached to the vehicle frame 1 by a first section 6 in a detachable or non-detachable manner, in particular by screwing, and can be connected to a second section 7, which adjoins the first section 6 and projects upwards largely vertically, at the edge of a front side of the technology tower 3 facing in the direction of travel F, forming a tear seam 8 running from the lower end of the technology tower 3 upwards over a defined distance. By tearing open the console 5, energy in the technology tower 3 can be dissipated, while the technology tower 3 remains firmly connected to the vehicle frame 1, and a tearing of cables and a tearing of the technology tower 3 itself is made more difficult. By screwing the first section 6, the technology tower 3 remains connected to the vehicle frame 1 during a cabin impact.
[0022] In one embodiment, the console 5 is connected at its upper end to the technology tower 3 in a materially bonded manner, in particular in one piece.
[0023] Fig. 4 is a schematic detailed view (front view) of the technical tower 3 with the console 5.
[0024] In one embodiment, the front of the technical tower 3 has one, two or more vertically running longitudinal slots 9 or a differently designed notch for the purpose of a defined tearing open, into each of which a lateral recess 10 running from the front to the rear opens, forming the passage for a screw 11 that clamps a vertical plate 12 fixed to the vehicle frame 1 to the technical tower 3. When the technical tower 3 is moved into the moved position P2, the recess 10 disengages from the screw 11. By clamping the technical tower 3 in a vertical plate 12 or console with the recess 10, a fastening is achieved that withstands loads in the vertical direction (such as occur during ferry operation) and releases under high loads in the horizontal direction (such as occur during an accident) and initiates the tearing open process.
[0025] In an embodiment not shown, the console 5 is designed as a frame-fixed plate which has at least one longitudinal guide groove formed with an undercut on the upper side, into which a guide element of corresponding shape in terms of cross-section is inserted, which guide element is formed on the underside of a carriage on which the technology tower 3 is fastened, wherein the longitudinal guide groove has an end stop and wherein the guide element is arranged in a fixed position in the longitudinal guide groove by means of at least one force and / or form-locking element which provides the holding force for the resistance moment.
[0026] In one embodiment, the guide groove is designed as a dovetail groove. List of reference symbols
