Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising a spraying member with improved washing performance.

[0002] In dishwashers, the washing process is performed by spraying the water received from the main delivery line onto the dishes by means of spray arms. The kitchen items placed onto the rack are cleaned with water pressure and detergent. The spraying members provided on the spray arm enable the water to be sprayed onto the dishes at a certain pressure. The flow rate and pressure of the sprayed water are critical in terms of cleaning of the dishes. In the dishwashers, washing areas are formed to clean heavy stains. Additional spraying members are used to clean the stains in the washing areas. Therefore, the layout of the dishes on the rack is important to perform a highly-efficient washing process. Various racks have been developed to enable small-sized kitchen items such as forks and knives to be cleaned without being tossed around inside the washing tub. The most efficient type of rack recently used for cutlery is a third rack, known as the cutlery rack, which is located close to the ceiling. The racks with a horizontal arrangement are advantageous in terms of both usability and cleaning performance. However, it is difficult for the water coming from the spraying member located underneath the rack to reach the top wall of the washing tub. In particular, when the water pressure is low or when large-sized kitchen items are placed in the upper rack, the water cannot reach the ceiling cutlery rack. To solve the problems encountered in such cases, the water delivery line is extended toward the ceiling of the washing tub, and an additional top water delivery wheel is developed for the uppermost area. Thus, the water is delivered to the ceiling cutlery rack and to the kitchen items placed on the upper rack. However, when the water is delivered randomly to the ceiling wheel, problems arise such as low water delivery performance and the small-sized top wheel striking the water delivery line and generating noise.

[0003] In the state of the art European Patent Document No. EP2134230, a dishwasher is disclosed, comprising a cage which enables the ceiling wheel to be attached onto the water delivery line.

[0004] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher with improved washing effectiveness.

[0005] The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a washing tub which is disposed in the body, wherein the washing process is performed; at least one rack which is disposed in the washing tub; and at least one spraying member which sprays water onto the racks. The kitchen items to be washed are placed onto the rack. The water is delivered onto the dishes by means of the spraying member. Thus, the cleaning process is performed. The water is delivered to the spraying member by means of a water delivery line, and the water delivery line extends toward the ceiling of the washing tub. In the region close to the ceiling of the washing tub, a water delivery wheel having a plurality of fins which enable the water to be dispersed is provided. Thus, the water is delivered from the ceiling of the washing tub onto the racks.

[0006] The dishwasher of the present invention comprises a main opening which enables the water coming from the water delivery line to be delivered to the water delivery wheel, and a plurality of additional openings which are provided around the main opening. The water delivered through the additional opening is enabled to directly hit the fins. Thus, the rotation of the water delivery wheel is more controlled.

[0007] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the additional opening having an inclined outlet which enables the water delivered from the water delivery line to be delivered perpendicularly onto the fin. Thus, the water effectively hits the fin so as to rotate the water delivery wheel.

[0008] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a number of additional openings equal to the number of fins. The water is delivered onto each fin through an additional opening. Thus, the water delivery wheel is enabled to rotate in a balanced manner.

[0009] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the additional openings having the same inclination and outlet direction. Each of the additional openings is identical to one another. Thus, the water delivery wheel is enabled to rotate on a smooth plane.

[0010] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the additional opening which enables the water delivered through the outlet to be delivered to the end region of the fin. Thus, the momentum of the delivered water increases, and the water delivery wheel is enabled to rotate faster with less force.

[0011] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a reservoir which is provided at the end region of the water delivery line, and the additional opening and the main opening which are provided on the reservoir. Thus, the water is delivered more efficiently.

[0012] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the additional opening having an inclination from the reservoir toward the outlet. The water moves in an inclined manner on the additional opening. Thus, the water is delivered directly onto the fin.

[0013] By means of the present invention, a dishwasher is realized, comprising a water delivery wheel with improved washing performance and enhanced perception of quality.

[0014] A dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where: Figure 1 - is the perspective view of the dishwasher. Figure 2 - is the view of the water delivery wheel on the water delivery line. Figure 3 - is the perspective view of the water delivery line and the openings. Figure 4 - is the cross-sectional view of the water delivery line.

[0015] The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows. 1- Dishwasher 2- Body 3- Washing tub 4- Rack 5- Spraying member 6- Water delivery line 7- Fin 8- Water delivery wheel 9- Main opening 10- Additional opening 11- Outlet 12- Reservoir

[0016] The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is arranged in the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; at least one rack (4) which is disposed in the washing tub (3) and whereon the kitchen items to be washed are placed; at least one spraying member (5) which enables the water to be sprayed onto the rack (4) and the kitchen items to be cleaned; a water delivery line (6) which enables the water to be delivered to the spraying member (5) and which extends towards the ceiling of the washing tub (3); and a water delivery wheel (8) which is mounted on the water delivery line (6) so as to be close to the ceiling of the washing tub (3) and which has a plurality of fins (7) so as to deliver the water from the ceiling of the washing tub (3) onto the racks (4). The kitchen items are placed onto the rack (4) by the user. The cleaning is performed by sending pressurized water onto the rack (4) by means of the spraying members (5). The water delivered through the water delivery line (6) is directed to the water delivery wheel (8), which is located in the vicinity of the ceiling of the washing tub (3). By means of the water delivery wheel (8) mounted in the vicinity of the ceiling of the washing tub (3), the regions close to the ceiling of the washing tub (3) are washed more efficiently.

[0017] The dishwasher (1) of the present invention comprises a main opening (9) which enables the water coming from the water delivery line (6) to be delivered to the water delivery wheel (8), and a plurality of additional openings (10) which are provided around the main opening (9) and which enable the water to directly hit the fin (7). The water coming through the water delivery line (6) is delivered to the water delivery wheel (8) via the main opening (9) so as to enable the water delivery wheel (8) to rotate and distribute the water into the washing tub (3). The additional openings (10) provided around the main opening (9) deliver the water directly to the fins (7) of the water delivery wheel (8). Thus, the rotation of the water delivery wheel (8) is controlled. By means of the more regular and faster rotation of the water delivery wheel (8), both the washing performance and safety are improved.

[0018] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the additional opening (10) having an inclined outlet (11) which enables the water to be delivered perpendicularly onto the fin (7). By means of the inclination of the outlet (11), the delivery point of the water can be determined. As the water is delivered perpendicularly onto the surface of the fin (7) by means of the inclination, the water delivery wheel (8) is enabled to rotate more efficiently. Thus, the water is more homogeneously delivered into the washing tub (3).

[0019] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the additional openings (10) in a number equal to the number of fins (7) provided on the water delivery wheel (8). The water is delivered onto each fin (7) through an additional opening (10). Thus, the water delivery wheel (8) is enabled to rotate in a balanced manner. By means of the balanced rotation of the water delivery wheel (8), the water is delivered homogeneously.

[0020] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the additional openings (10) having the same inclination and outlet (11) direction. Each additional opening (10) has the same inclination and outlet (11) direction as the others. Thus, the water pressure delivered onto each fin (7) is made uniform. As the water pressure and momentum effect are the same, the water delivery wheel (8) is enabled to rotate in a balanced manner.

[0021] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the additional opening (10) which enables the water coming out of the outlet (11) to be delivered close to and perpendicularly onto the end region of the fin (7). The water delivered through the additional opening (10) onto the fin (7) is delivered perpendicularly onto the end region of the fin (7). Thus, the momentum of the water increases, and the water delivery wheel (8) is enabled to rotate more efficiently with lower water pressure.

[0022] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a reservoir (12) which is provided at the end region of the water delivery line (6) and which collects the water so as to enable the same to be delivered through the main opening (9) and the additional openings (10). The water is collected in the reservoir (12) located at the end region of the water delivery line (6), and is delivered from there to the openings (9 and 10). Thus, the pressure of the delivered water is increased.

[0023] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the additional opening (10) having an inclination from the reservoir (12) toward the outlet (11). The additional opening (10) has an inclined form from one end starting at the reservoir (12) and extending to the outlet (11). Thus, the water is enabled to be delivered perpendicularly onto the fin (7).

[0024] By means of the present invention, a dishwasher (1) is realized, comprising a water delivery wheel (8) of which the rotational speed and balance can be controlled. By means of the more balanced and faster rotation of the water delivery wheel (8) located in the vicinity of the ceiling of the washing tub (3), the water is homogeneously delivered into the washing tub (3), and the washing efficiency is improved. Moreover, since a balanced rotation is provided, both safety and perceived quality are enhanced.
